I love that the three men are perfect complements to each other, different yet compatible. Nate is handsome, stubborn and pragmatic, resisting change. Louis, light to Nate’s dark, is laid back and just a little mischievous, and Clay is the gentle giant, hating to see anyone hurt. When these three men decide to make TS theirs, it is one of the hottest things I have ever read. I will never think of a kitchen island in the same way again, believe me.

This story made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me wish I had three hot men of my own. I also loved the delightful play-on-words that was TS’s name, but you need to read this one to find that out. Is there a happy ever after? Oh, yes, and such a wonderful, surprising one at that.

It is clear early on in the historical recitation, that he is the vampire who ends up turning both of his closest companions, the friend he valued and the woman he loved. I enjoyed the look at the customs of ancient Rome, and the sometimes-barbaric gladiator arenas.

If you want something short, hot and interesting, this is the one for you.

This book follows Marcus and Jack. Chapters take turns being in first person POV for each of them. I got to see that being the Alpha for Marcus is hard and he tries to enforce rules that were in place before him. He doesn’t like it but it’s all he’s known. Those very same rules reinforce his loneliness and I felt it wasn’t fair at all. Why should a man be denied love just because he doesn’t follow the status quo? Because I think they’d shred and eat the poor guy, alpha or no. How does a man fight against that?

Jack is a human that gets bitten. He has to face losing who he was and try to fit into Marcus’s world. The thing is Jack has a lot more integrity and feelings than Marcus is used to. Jack is a man who always wanted to please a lover and this new ferocious passion within him threatens that consideration. He wants to survive because, in turning werewolf, he’s found something special to fight for. He has a lot to learn and I felt bad for him too. Once he got over his initial denial stage, he was willing to try. It takes a lot of courage to do that.

The conflict isn’t only about facing the change going from human to something other. It’s about betrayals and about staying true to oneself. It’s also about standing up for what’s right and being aware of someone else’s feelings and then sticking up for them, no matter the price. It’s a bad turn of events when a person Jack thought he could count on ended up not being what he thought. It made me respect Marcus’ character more.

The romance between Marcus and Jack is rough, passionate and very hot. There are some other combinations of sex earlier on that read like just what they are, lustful primal urges with no emotional connection. It’s not that way with Marcus and Jack and that’s why it works so well. There is a clear delineation between the two. The author did an excellent job of that.

On the whole this book was intense. Pack of Lies is not for a reader looking for lighthearted fluff. It’s dark; it’s violent and has a very real feel to it. I liked Marcus and Jack and although the ending has them together, I have a feeling it won’t be an easy road. I hope Ms. Vaughn gives me a chance to revisit these two guys again because I want to read another installment with the hopes that there will be more reasons for both Marcus and Jack to smile. In this book, they’ve earned it. Now I want to see it. The writing was done well enough for me to care. I believe other readers would feel the same and I recommend reading it to find out.

I fell in love with each character. Julian is the ultimate caring male, and his actions show it. Kyle is the ultimate Alpha; I love a really good Alpha male – one who will take control but also lose some in return. Madeline is a great female lead – both confident and caring. She completes the triangle in every way possible. I loved all three of them together!

This is a first read of Elise Logan’s for me, but is absolutely not the last. I hope to hear more from these sexy men with wings. It’s a recommended read – my advice: Go get it!

I know that I am eagerly awaiting the third book in this series myself. This was a wonderful read that should not be missed. Maya Banks is one of the few automatic buys for this reader.

This is Joyee Flynn’s first solo book and let me tell you she hit the ground running! I started reading this story and the next thing I knew, I was done it had me so enthralled.

Neil and Ryan thought they had lucked out by finding each other. They both suffered not only traumatic childhoods but everything about their lives was rough until they meet Gabriel. That does not mean Gabriel did not need them as much as they needed him. Gabriel had lived a life of solitude for a long time. Humans usually feared him since he was a dragon shifter and either ran for cover or tried to figure out a way to kill him. He was willing to take care of all of Ryan and Neil’s needs just so he would no longer be lonely.

This was definitely a unique story. There was an extremely creative idea on the authors’ part that had me re-reading to make sure I’d read it correctly. Very interesting and some things you won’t be able to find anywhere else other than a fictional story.

While the antagonist conflict did add something to the story I would have liked to have seen more scenes that included the actual bad guys. Ryan and Neil’s background enabled me, as a reader, to understand why the relationship developed at the rate it did. This story was also a rollercoaster of sweet and sexy. One second the characters melted your heart and the next they sent your libido somersaulting.

Now to the hot parts, and let me tell you there were a lot. These guys had sex in any and every way imaginable. There was sex around every corner and sometimes you only made it half way around the corner before the sex began. For a girl like me, who loves her stories nice and dirty, it was lovely. All three men were capable of multiple orgasms and they sure did utilize their abilities and stamina. They couldn’t seem to get enough of each other and I, along with any other reader, will surely understand why.

Seeing as though this is the first installment of this series I am expecting big things from this author and I am sure she will not disappoint.

If you like your fairy tales a bit dark, the Grimm series is for you, and this snippet of a short story is a great lead in to the next book in the series: Ren’s story. But I recommend that you get his along with the book that follows, for a fantastic reading experience.
