This is an interesting look at the mating habits of the merpeople down in the depths of the ocean. They sure have an erotic way of finding mates and it’s one I’ve never heard of before.

It’s also pretty darned hot because this book packs in loads of different combinations and ways to find the ultimate forever mate. Initially a reader will meet Kessen and Tam. They find each other first and I will say that because of their social order and culture parameters, there isn’t a lot of internal angst, at first. The potential for a romantic connection is clear with them and I enjoyed reading about them.

It’s when a reader meets Maya, the heroine, that all the conflict and mild drama starts happening. She’s a young woman who has a close tie to her family – perhaps a bit too close even for her age. In that I mean that I found it a bit odd for her to still call her father ‘daddy’ and not to have shortened it to ‘dad’ at this point in her life. It’s almost like she has no real ambition to do much and is in a sort of limbo. Sure, she has a job that she acts responsible about but there just something…off. This story did include a few minor typos. I also have marked it a forced seduction because in the beginning, as the blurb states, Spencer is attacked. It is clear by each man’s personality they would never forced themselves onto someone else so it in no way reflects the relationship between Spencer, Ryder and Lucas. There is also sex that involves one of the participants in werewolf form. The werewolf form is not that of an animal but something in between. The author also leaves this story with a cliffhanger which is great for author because it guarantees I will read the next book, but just seems cruel to me the reader because I want to know what happens next now.

Overall, though, the story had a great plot and that’s what kept me reading. The beginning and in between parts were well written. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters but the harmony between the sheets was a problem.

Songbirds was a good book and with a surprise ending I really didn’t see coming, I enjoyed it. Ms. Reed’s style was fresh and different and, with her wit and charming characters, I’m looking forward to her future works.

This book was incredibly detailed and the sex was sinfully hot. But the beginning of this book is really fast paced and I felt I needed to read through it again to retain a lot of the details that made the rest of the book. It was like I was dropped in the middle of the action and I needed to catch up so I felt a little lost at first. But sticking with the book was absolutely worth it.

The ending tied up all of the loose ends for Victoria and her men with a beautiful HEA but there were other background pairings that didn’t quite seem finished off. Hopefully there will be more from this universe as I loved this world and was sad to see it go. This was an awesome, sexy story and I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Harte’s work.

Can Maddox and Madeline find an antidote? Can Rick keep up until they do?

Vampires Rick and Maddox are giving their ladies, Julia and Madeline, a Christmas to remember.

When Rick gifts Julia with what he believes is a safe and gentle aphrodisiac, things go bad quickly. There is a lot happening in this short story; sex, danger and surprises all abound here. I like the idea that, in Isabella Jordan’s supernatural world, vampires like Rick can love lycans like Julia. This is hot on so many different levels, I thought it would melt the screen on my reader.

Julia is a lycan, with the total lack of shyness usually seen in this species. However most individuals mulls on whether to go for the branded leader or the cialis lowest price. There is a twist here, with a dangerous edge that is quickly handled by Madeline and Maddox. It is this twist that eventually provides the antidote to Julia’s little problem, and leads to the happy ever after for both couples.
