Lark Sommers’s dry spell is officially a sex-starved desert. Since taking over her mom’s quirky coffee shop in Nowhere, Idaho—putting her own career on permanent hold—Lark’s been, well, miserable. But her friends have a plan…one that starts with a superhot guy with a rockin’ hard bod.

US Navy SEAL Shane O’Brian has no clue he’s being set up. All he knows is that Lark does incredible things to his libido. Still, Shane can’t quite bring himself to tell her what he does for a living. After all, their risqué business is temporary—no strings, no falling in love. Especially when there’s no way this SEAL would ever be tempted into anything more than a sexy little fling…

Lark Sommers has been working in a small-town coffeehouse for over a year now. The coffeehouse was her mother’s dream, before her passing. While it isn’t Lark’s dream, she promised her mother she’d keep it running, and keeping her word is important to her, even if the job is slowly killing her. When her best friend set her up with Navy SEAL Shane O’Brian though, life suddenly starts to become far, far more interesting.

I found this to be a fun, interesting, sexy read. I really loved how the author did an amazing job with the “slow burn” kind of relationship between Lark and Shane. This was no “meet and instantly jump into bed” style romance and I enjoyed reading how Lark and Shane danced around each other, got to know one another and generally had a far more realistic set-up to their eventual romance. I thought it incredibly funny Lark initially thought Shane was a stripper (not sure there are many SEALs out there who have been mistakenly taken for something like that!) and found the gentle mix of humour, friendship and lust reached an excellent balance.

The sex scenes were sensual and full of laughter and spice. I found them tastefully written and steamy enough to make a girl blush. It was the emotion and connection between Lark and Shane that made them really perfect to my mind though, and I think the pacing and slow-burn between them made the sex and blossoming relationship even more perfect than the physical acts themselves. Readers who like a bit of spice and lots of romance should find this book really satisfying on many levels.

This is a fun, spicy love story between two interesting people. I loved watching them come together and overcome obstacles of family and career choices. I particularly loved the deeply satisfying happy ending and was left with a warm, happy feeling of pleasure when I closed the book. Recommended.

Shelby, a wanna-be sub, hasn’t found a Dom strong enough to push past her need to be in control. Her experiences as a sub have been yawn-inducing. She’s fantasized plenty, though, about Trevor Lawton, one of Dark Haven’s legendary, mouthwateringly firm Doms.
Since semen is water-based, you tablets viagra need to drink lot of water.5. As the stakes get higher at the charity poker match, Dom Trevor Lawton is fascinated by the woman kneeling across the table from him. Problem is, she’s not a good sub. Oh, she tries, and she’s lovely. But she’s not very good at following orders. The woman needs a firm, unyielding hand…his.

Shelby enjoyed her dabbling as a sub in the BDSM lifestyle. A few naughty weekends a year has always been more than enough to satisfy her needs. Master David, a friend of hers for many years, and she share a comfortable, carefree relationship that suits them both. And while they might not be burning up the sheets and Shelby might privately feel she doesn’t get everything she needs from him, they’ve been friends and lovers long enough she doesn’t want to tip their status quo. Master Trevor, however, is everything David is not. Master Trevor is unyielding and seriously strict. Shelby knows she’d never get away with half the antics she does with her friend, David, and after a poker match where she’s the prize, Shelby realizes that Trevor’s far stricter sense of dominance and control might be exactly what she craves.

I found this to be a hot and well written sexual tale. I could really empathise with Shelby. She is a strong, independent woman who likes to dabble in submission and pain. Shelby’s main problem is David is her friend first, and her Master/lover second – so Shelby’s boundaries are never really pushed and anything that gives her even a small level of discomfort is immediately stopped. I also found it interesting how Shelby doesn’t seem – at least initially – to even know for certain whether she’s truly interested in submission or not. She’s so used to “topping from below” that she hasn’t seemed to ever really, truly submit fully at all. Indeed, Shelby hesitated and questioned so many of the commands from Trevor that I really started to wonder myself whether Shelby was truly interested in submitting or just play-acting every now and then. Shelby quickly learned her usual antics wouldn’t wash at all with Trevor.

Personally, I enjoyed the fact this wasn’t what I would classify a “normal” Dom/sub story. A good portion of the plot is Shelby learning and coming to terms with what a “regular” submissive would and should do. Shelby learning about herself, her needs and what she really wants takes up a huge amount of the book. I really liked reading this and found it a refreshing take on the more common Dom/sub story. I could understand, however, that this mightn’t be every readers’ cup of tea, especially since there is the very real question – to my mind at least – on whether Shelby actually is (or wants to be) a submissive at all.

A fun, seriously sexy read that I feel will appeal to many readers. I thoroughly enjoyed the different outlook on a BDSM style story. Hot and enjoyable, I will happily reread this story many times to come.

Their love is an explosive cocktail—stirred, shaken, and served with a twist.

Secrets, Book 4

Teag and Bruce dream of opening their own bars, but that’s where the similarities end.

Teag, a popular bartender at West Hollywood’s hottest club, is willful, opinionated, and likes to take charge. He envisions his future bar as a boozy oasis for craft cocktails. Unfortunately, while he’s big on ideas, he’s short on funds.
Edema or swelling of body parts is one of the symptoms Malaysia has invested heavily in its Tongkat Ali Extract the nickname “try that viagra samples.” With increasing demand in Europe and from North America, the production of Tongkat Ali extract has expanded. Bruce, on the other hand, is a tower of pirate-tattooed muscle with a laid-back attitude. While he’s good with people, he’s a walking paradox—a wannabe boss with a weakness for bossy men.

Their partnership is a natural fit, but every time they meet, sparks fly as they rub each other the wrong way. Or is it the right way? In the heat of the moment, it’s hard to tell.

Between renovation pitfalls, meddling friends, and miles of police tape, Teag and Bruce struggle to keep their venture—and their budding relationship—from going up in flames. And not the good kind. More like the one on the top of a B52 shot.

Warning: Contains a whipcord-lean and whip-smart bartender who knows what he wants—and how hard he wants it—and a go-with-the-flow bar manager who secretly likes to be told how hard to give it.

Teag wants to open his own bar, but he’s on a very tight budget. Bruce has just found out the bar he works at is being sold and he’s also on the lookout for a space to open a bar of his own. When Teag and Bruce find themselves scouting out the same location, the sparks fly between them. Despite the fact they each rub the other the wrong way, Teag is determined to try and make his bar work. So he makes a proposition to Bruce – they co-own the new property and run the bar together.

This is an interesting story I found myself really drawn into. Teag and Bruce are both intrigued by each other, but they seriously butt heads initially. Watching them each lower their guard and look past the superficial surface was lovely. Each man needs what the other can give him – both romantically and professionally – but they’re both resistant to needing or relying on the other. I found it really lovely to read. The pacing is also quite good. I found it slightly slow in the beginning, but as it picks up speed I eagerly turned the pages faster and faster.

I liked how there were a few sub-plots revolving around the bar and renovation, previous lives of the location, normal hiccups in the renovation process and a strange mystery about who was trying to derail the project. I thought there was plenty to keep any reader hooked. I also liked how there was so much chemistry and tension between Teag and Bruce. There was a limited amount of sex scenes – the plot and characters were far more prominent – but the erotic scenes were mouth-wateringly hot and definitely a delight to read.

A fun, mostly lighthearted story I’d happily recommend it for M/M readers.

He was once, but ten years ago she threw away their chance of happiness. Together again, Marielle and Peter discover how they have both changed and how much they have in common. Their attraction for each other is intensified, but can their love be rekindled? Can they risk everything for love? Affairs of the heart prove to be no match for the darker powers of Fate as Marielle’s very survival hangs in the balance.

Marielle is taking a rare day off work. Giving herself a treat, she goes to London to visit a gallery and enjoy herself. While waiting for coffee she bumped into Peter – her ex from university and the man with whom she’d left her much younger, more innocent self’s heart. Can they really pick up where they so bitterly left off? Could they both get a second chance?

This is an interesting, sweet style of story. While I was a little surprised at how quickly Peter and Marielle became intimate once more, the author did an excellent job of reminding me, the reader, that Peter and Marielle were far from strangers. I found the lovemaking scenes tasteful and spicy. I think they were detailed enough to make a reader blush but not explicit enough to be a turn off. Most of the story revolved around Peter and Marielle as they try to find common ground after parting as young adults on bad terms. A part of me found much of the plot clichéd – their unwillingness to communicate and the repercussions of their time together – but I have to admit it added a good amount of conflict and tension between them. While I might have wished Peter and Marielle particularly had acted more maturely, it was interesting watching them take the usual “two steps forward one step back” that a rocky, difficult relationship so often shows.

This is a lovely, emotional story I feel will resonate with many readers. Marielle and Peter love each other deeply but have a number of obstacles to overcome first. While there are miscommunications and difficulties, these tensions only serve to make their happiness even more joyful. While sensually spicy I think the love scenes are tastefully and carefully written to still appeal to most readers and can be thoroughly enjoyed. A heart-warming story I can see myself reading again.

It’s Trig’s fourth year at the Gay Riders’ Carnival and this year he’s not sure if he’s looking for more than a few nights of camping, checking out the booths and listening to the music. He’s been dumped a lot in the last year and is looking more to lick his wounds and just relax.

It’s the first time at the Carnival for Tarzan and he doesn’t know exactly what to expect. When he lays eyes on Trig, though, he knows what he wants. Trig claims he’s not a bottom, but he’s tripping all of Tarzan’s instincts.

Can these two men find a middle ground, or will their attraction last only as long as the Carnival itself?

This was Trig’s fourth year at the “Gay Riders” carnival. He was pleased to be meeting friends there, but Trig couldn’t help but feel slightly down. He’d gone through a number of sub’s in the last year and it was starting to wear on Trig. When he met Tarzan, Trig’s breath was stolen away by the chemistry between them. They only had four days together, but Trig couldn’t help himself. And four days was more than enough to turn both their worlds upside down.

This is a steamy hot read. I loved Trig and Tarzan coming together. Both strong, bold men. Trig doesn’t bottom – but at each turn Tarzan gave him room and options, and Trig just couldn’t seem to help himself. I love a hot story of what happens when two alpha men come together and the intensity in this story was enough to set the pages on fire. While the backdrop of the Bikers carnival is there, the real story revolves completely around Trig and Tarzan – and their growing relationship.

The carnival itself – as well as Trig’s friends, Whip and Nicky – make this book technically a sequel to “The Biker’s Pup”, but I feel this book can easily be read on its own. The small amount of backstory needed is clearly and briefly included very well into the story and I’d have happily read this story without the previous one.

A steamy hot, explicit and delicious story – I can strongly recommend this tale for fans of Sean Michael and M/M readers who enjoy complicated characters and smoking hot erotic romance. I loved it.

His heart broken, his faith shattered, Kyle didn’t think he would ever emotionally recover. Two years later Talia crashes into him and Kyle finally finds himself willing to try again.

This is a well paced, traditional romance novel. I really enjoyed that neither Kyle nor Talia jumped into anything the moment they laid eyes on each other. I loved how the author infused the modern story with the feel of old-fashioned romance. Kyle might have been emotionally devastated, but he wasn’t bitter or too cynical. I found his past hurt an excellent reason for Kyle and Talia to go slow – to get to know each other and really connect emotionally and showcase the romance blossoming between them. I found this refreshing and lovely to read.

I also enjoyed how Talia wasn’t some weak, whimpering female wanting (or needing) a big strong man to rescue her. I liked Talia’s character and found her a good balance between willing to let Kyle help her and open herself to him, but still more than determined to keep the rest of her life independent and on her own terms. I felt the author did a great job balancing the two in Talia and enjoyed her character greatly. I thought the plotline was interesting (though a little predictable) and it certainly helped round out the story.

A sweet, enjoyable romance novel that I can recommend for all readers.

He knows her ex-boyfriend was shady. Could it be Amy wasn’t some duped innocent but actually in on it too?

This is a well-paced, action packed story that I greatly enjoyed. I found the plot complex and well layered – and while I guessed a few aspects there were still a number of surprises that delighted me and I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed sifting through everyone’s actions and motivations to try and find the “bad guys”. With so many strong secondary characters and the author’s suspenseful plotting I found this a highly interesting, convoluted story that I truly enjoyed.

I was a little disappointed that there were a few editing errors (an internal dialogue sentence highlighted blue, a sentence split into two paragraphs, etc) and these jarred me from the story and my enjoyment, but they were small things and could be easily rectified with another careful going-over. I really enjoyed the suspense and tension in the story, found myself eagerly turning the pages to find out what happened next. I feel mystery and thriller readers should thoroughly enjoy this story as much as I have.

The romance between Amy and Finn is also thick with chemistry and sizzling tension. While there is sexual intimacy in the book and more than a few steamy kisses – everything of an erotic nature happens “off camera”. I feel the author has done an amazing job of making the relationship between Amy and Finn passionate enough that spicy readers will enjoy it, but also subtle enough that more traditional readers won’t feel as if too much has been exposed.

Overall I found this a deeply complex, thoroughly interesting and entertaining read.

Anna has another fantasy. Can Kline take her to the place she wants to be?

With another weekend away due, Anna requests that Kline take her to sub-space during sex, somewhere he’s been several times but something she has so far failed to achieve. Kline wants to satisfy Anna’s every need and takes her to a new kind of hotel—one with a dungeon so he can use the facilities there to enable him to grant Anna’s latest desire.

Will they experience an off-the-charts-hot sexual experience that they’ll never forget?

Anna and Kline might have moved into their own house – where they could be as loud as they liked whenever the urge struck them – but their monthly trysts in a hotel continued to both their pleasures. This time though, Kline is determined to push Anna further, as far as she can manage, right into her sub-space. Will they be able to come back from pushing both their limits to the brink?

This is the second installment of Anna and Kline’s story (after “Think Kink”) and while it could probably be read as a stand alone, I think most readers will get far more enjoyment after having read the first story. I liked reading about Kline pushing Anna much further this time around, but feel some readers who only enjoy to dabble in reading kink might think this story pushes the envelope a little. I’ve read before of submissives finding their “subspace”, but never in quite so much detail and never in quite this way. While I genuinely enjoyed reading it, I found it slightly uncomfortable and am not sure it will be everyone’s cup of tea.

We learn more about both Anna and Kline as their relationship continues to grow, but much like the first story I feel it’s more of a scene/situation based story – not character driven story. Anna and Kline’s scenes, the eroticism of their relationship as they push each other’s boundaries is the main focus here, and while I enjoy the uniqueness of this, a part of me is starting to hunger for more details about them as people – as a couple and as individuals. The author has done an excellent job though in the short length of the story. I’m looking forward to reading the novel-length book next in this series.

A strongly written, highly erotic story of a well-established couple as they push themselves and each other to the edge of their boundaries and beyond.

Fellow escort worker Suzie also has a client at The Libra. Their meeting takes a turn for the worst and she stumbles home, alone and frightened and wishing she had her friend Jack to comfort her. The following night, when Suzie tells Jack about her experience, she doesn’t expect him to rush off to confront the client.

Jack doesn’t expect to bump into Anna again either, much less for Suzie to be called out to a meeting with Anna. Anna asks Suzie to join her in a mad scheme to catch Suzie’s father, her ex and her attacker on a taped conversation about an illegal arms deal…

Jack is considering quitting his job as an escort. Sure, he still can’t get Anna out of his mind, but it’s not just the delicious blonde herself. It’s the idea of her. Someone who was his. Someone with whom he can do anything, anytime to. A real relationship. Suzie works at the same escort company Jack does. They’re friends and comfortable with each other – but don’t know much outside the bare basics. Suzie is running from her past and when it finally catches up with her, there’s no one else really for her to turn to. Jack finds himself drawn not just to Suzie’s problem – one he desperately wants to help her solve – but to the wonderful woman herself.

This is the third book in the series, but I feel it can be read by itself. While Jack has a brief history with Anna (very much a secondary character for fans of the previous books) the plot really revolves here around Jack and Suzie and can be read without the first two stories. Readers should be aware there is a rape scene near the start of the book. The rape is implied (not shown explicitly – the scene itself is jumped over – but it clearly occurs and sets off the sequence of events). I was quite grateful the act itself wasn’t shown or described, but readers for whom this is an issue should consider this before reading. Also, readers who have read the previous books might find Anna’s actions a little harder to fathom. I, personally, felt Anna’s character was slightly different in this book from the previous two. I feel this might be due to the fact we didn’t see any of the story from her point of view – so I can’t be exactly sure what was really in her mind – I found the scene between Anna and Jack excellently written but slightly uncomfortable. I personally found it pushed the envelope a bit and it wouldn’t surprise me if some readers feel it goes a bit far. I have to hand it to Ms Dae, the scene is an excellent catalyst for Jack, and is very strongly and well written – any book that can make me emotional and uncomfortable is fantastic writing – but I’m usually a reader who enjoys the fantasy of the story, and this one wasn’t quite to my personal tastes.

I can’t fault the pacing of the book – the plot moves very steadily along and yet still has plenty of time for me to become attached to both Suzie and Jack. And the sex is smoking hot, the danger and action made me turn the pages quickly, desperate to find out what happens next. I also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the characters of Jack and Suzie quite well. They’re both remarkable characters and quite unique to my mind. I found myself very attached to them both – separately and as a couple – and invested in their actions. I also was impressed by the plot surrounding Suzie. It was intricate and a lot deeper than I was expecting, and this was a very pleasant surprise.

Readers who want their boundaries pushed and to read intense situations with interesting characters should enjoy this book. There are a few hot-button topics involved, but overall I really enjoyed this story.

Anna had divulged one of her secret fantasies to Kline, almost a year ago. And when a stranger entered their bedroom, Anna guessed they were finally going to fulfill that fantasy.

I found this to be a highly sensual threesome story. Each chapter is told from differing points of view – Anna, Kline and their third lover. This really helped me understand the situation from everyone’s stance, but also helped me get into their motivations and expectations. The scene was hot and very well paced. I loved the interaction between Anna, Kline and their stranger – but more. I loved the ending. I refuse to spoil it – but it was completely different to what I had expected. It was (for me, at least) a unique twist on what could have otherwise been a fairly standard “third man joins the loving husband and wife fantasy” style of short story.

There is certainly kink in this lovely short story – but nothing that I found too outrageous. Toys, clamps, spanking and a threesome. All hot and very well written. But again, it’s the ending that really stuck in my mind. I love how the author changed it up and gave me as a reader something quite different. I’ve noticed that there are two more books and I’m quite eager to read the next one.

I found this to be a steamy hot, sensually written short story. While the focus was on the fantasy and sex, I enjoyed the snapshots of Anna, Kline and their stranger that I was shown. I really, really enjoyed the ending and found it interesting and refreshing enough I plan to move onto other stories by Ms. Dae. A different look on a tried-and-true style of story, and one I am very interested to continue reading. Recommended.
