He meets her again when she’s hired as a production manager at his lighting effects company. He immediately realizes she’s the “Silver” who has fueled his sexual fantasies for years.

Grant is a strong character who knows what he wants. He comes from a large family and is very grounded. He tells Allie he doesn’t just want a relationship, he wants to own her. I questioned his forthrightness because he had no idea of her background. He also has a strong insistence for the truth. Yet I never understood if there was a reason for this, or if this was just part of his character.

Allie has fought hard to erase her past as an erotic dancer. She’s strong, confident, and dresses for the job she wants. She finished school, and worked her way up. Although the book started out strong, it was an interesting combination of strong ideas, great sex play, abrupt scenes, and incomplete storylines. Watching them transform from Grant simply owning Allie to a loving relationship would have been beautiful. I would classify this as a happy-for-now romance.

Still, the author’s voice is solid. There are no noticeable grammatical or spelling errors. The sex scenes and play were steaming and left me hot and blushing. What was needed to make this a truly stellar story is some follow through with character motivations. For example, Allie says yes to being owned by Grant after a business meeting with Satin who was previously owned by Grant. Something was there, but I didn’t know Satin and Grant’s story. I was left wondering what Allie saw that convinced her to be his submissive. I see great potential in Ms. Rowe’s writing and I’ll be looking for more from her as she continues to grow as an author. It’s one step from the magic that would have made this book great.

The sex is what initially prompts Louis to take a chance on more perhaps and very little is known about Jake other than what he says. He’s a bright spot that Louis reaches for in the darkness of the story. Some readers may find this too dark and indeed I found it depressing in some ways but there is a bit of hope, though perhaps not as much as I would have liked, at the end.

Just when I thought things would go one way, Ms. Kell zagged. I didn’t know what would happen next, but I sure held on to find out.

Now I did say this story was complicated. It is, but it’s a good thing. Kevin’s tired of being alone. He wants his mate, not just someone to warm the bed. I can’t say I blame him. Add to that complication, the fact that Sebastian’s lover is immortal and jaded by centuries of one night stands, and I’m pretty sure you will understand the dilemma he faces in Love Immortal. Ms. Addams combines vampires and smoking hot manlove in this historical romance, sure to keep the reader turning pages far into the night.

The characters in this book were well written and I was able to sympathize with their emotions and actions. At first I was ready to give a verbal smack down to Laurent for his cavalier attitude toward love, but soon changed my mind as the plot progressed and more of his reasoning was revealed. Sebastian, the submissive character, was endearing and made me want to bundle him up in a warm blanket and give him lots of comfort food. The ability to bring out the anger and protectiveness in me seems to be Ms. Addams specialty, and I appreciated her effort as it enhanced the realism of the story.

The story ended rather abruptly, but adequately summed up the drama climaxing right before The End. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors, but they did not detract too much from the flow of the book.

If you are searching for an authentic-feeling historical novel, filled with angst, lost love, and second chances then you will enjoy reading this book. The first in the Mysterious Moonlight series, I look forward to reading more of Ms. Addams works. Kane is desirably mysterious, but not without flaws so his character is more relatable. The rest of the cast are engaging with accents and personalities that are hard to miss. The plot is absorbing with a rapid pace from beginning to end and has definite series potential. Paranormal fans looking for a little time transcending romance, will want to check out this story.

I think that the characters still had some growth needed within themselves to truly convince me they would experience their happily ever after.

On a postive note, the author distinguished herself from the average BDSM storyline by writing Evan as a submissive that can top from the bottom. This intrigued me but I think that Evan had way too much power to be a true sub. For example Evan was allowed to speak and ask for the thing he wanted in this D/s relationship. In the end I realized that while the D/s relationship was a large part of their lives the love they felt for one another was more important.

Cleo is a strong yet delicate woman. She thought she was safe at the Refuge, and could start to build a new life. Then she wakes up, mated not just to a stranger but her boss. The nightmare becomes worse when her ex finds her and isn’t happy about her leaving. Here’s one thing that I questioned: Adrian has a pretty bad temper and, considering Cleo’s abusive past, why wasn’t she more scared of him?

Though it’s a slightly predictable story, in that Cleo runs, Adrian chases and then everybody clashes, it does have a little twist I didn’t see coming, which helped redeem the book. The plot does keep you reading and wanting to know what will happen. This is book three in this series and could be read as a stand alone. Overall this was a decent quick read.

When Brent sets off to Vancouver to try and find any clues to his grandfather’s disappearance many years ago, he finds more than he expects. Could a chance meeting have him finding the love of his life? Will he find the closure he needs?

The premise of this story was very interesting. Brent seems like a well-rounded man yet he needs to have some kind of closure for himself on the disappearance of his grandfather. Seeing Brent’s reaction to Vancouver and its inhabitants — especially Chris — was an interesting read. Seeing the relationship build between the two was nice. The two men were a great couple who always knew just what the other needed. This story does include some strong spanking scenes, so readers who aren’t into that might want to think twice before reading this book. Although the relationship between Chris and Brent was sweet, I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I would have liked a bit more character building. We don’t really get to know Brent very well or understand just why he feels the need to have such closure on the years old case of his missing grandfather, a man he has never met. At times this made the book difficult to read.

Even so, the meeting and the budding relationship between the two men was an intriguing story about finding love in the last place you look that some readers may enjoy.
