Mitch Burnett wishes he hadn’t promised his neighbor he’d look in on his niece (an Amish widow) while she’s house sitting for the summer. He’s sure she’ll be a prudish pain in the ass. But Hannah is not what he expects. Her full curves, pretty face and innocent demeanor take him off guard. To keep his lust in check, he keeps his distance. However, he’s unprepared for her unexpected attraction to him.

She brazenly asks Mitch to have sex with her, thinking a one-night stand will put an end to the stimulating feelings. Unable to resist, Mitch tables his more dominant urges for a night with Hannah. But what starts out as a one-time fling turns into a steamy affair. Each time Hannah embraces something new, Mitch discovers he wants more until he finally introduces her to his dominant practices. However, an assault on Hannah and a terrible loss make her question her behavior and send her running back to her roots to find the answers.

Hannah is an Amish widow who falls for her sexy Dom next door.

This was a surprise since I’d never though of an Amish and a Dom. That scenario was a little difficult to imagine but thanks to the author, I could safely say that this was a great book.

When Hannah moves into the city, she had to learn some of the simple things like driving a car and navigating the bustling city. She also has to get used the number of changes that came with it. Her willingness to try is one of the things that made her endearing as a character.

Mitch is a very good with his hands and he promised his neighbors that he would keep an eye on their niece when she came to house sit for them. Somehow keeping an eye changed to keeping a hand and everything else on her, too. Mitch feels an instant lust for her and vice-versa, however with the amount of time they spend with each other, it became obvious very quickly that there was the chance for more.

Mitch is a Dom and Hannah’s only relationship was her husband. Sounds like a potential for trouble. She was completely innocent to Mitch’s ways, but she didn’t give up. Her determination is awesome. Neither character let up and that was great to read.

The characters were interesting and detailed. They had fantastic chemistry that steamed off the pages. Their story isn’t long but it was satisfying and an easy recommend.

He’s every mother’s worst nightmare…and every woman’s secret fantasy.

A Brazilian-Romany gypsy and a paroled ex-con, formerly part of a vicious street gang, Hanzi wants a new life but he can’t escape his past. His old gang’s leader and his friends don’t understand why he wants to distance himself from them. The more he does, the less they trust him–and living with his sister and her cop husband doesn’t help. The last thing he needs is some jumped-up snot of a rich college girl with a hard-on for literature hanging around the coffee hop where he works, tempting him with her pretty eyes and hot little body.

Usually a good student, Riley flunks a research project when family problems distract her. She has no choice but to stay on campus during spring break to redo the work. With her own family’s criminal past, she has no patience with the hot tattooed ex-con who works at the coffee shop where she likes to study–and less for her own attraction to him.

Riley just wants him. Too bad her dad’s dead set against Hanzi and keeps asking him to do some pretty shady favors. Is he trying to trick Hanzi back into his criminal life or just take advantage of his skills? Then his old friends come after him, and being a good man starts to seem like more trouble that it’s worth, especially if it won’t help him protect Riley.

An ex-con falls for an innocent young college student. He wants out of the con business but her daddy has other ideas.

Hanzi has, over the years, become the main go-to guy for a vicious gang but he really wants nothing to do with the gang anymore and is willing to completely to turn his life around for good. However, one look at Riley, and he wants her. What he didn’t know, or maybe didn’t want to know, was how important she would become for him.

Hanzi is a guy with an ego. That was my first impression within the first couple of pages. But he also loves his elder sister a lot. Hanzi is two sides of conflicted coin. He has a sweet side and a hard one, which Riley comes to know extremely well.

Riley on the other hand is simply a sweet girl with a father who is probably as dangerous as any criminal Hanzi has dealt with, seeing as he may be doing some illegal stuff. Riley, though she loves her father, would rather stay as far away from him as possible. When Riley first sees Hanzi, her womanly parts wake up. I’m not sure it’s love at first sight or lust at first sight but, in the end they do fall in love.

This was an up and down book. Meaning there were parts that was interesting while other parts that totally put me off. Like he is sweet and caring towards her at times and then he intentionally or unintentionally hurts her. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I can owe that to the fact that Hanzi has always had one night stands, not real girlfriends.

I do think Hanzi could have been characterized a little bit better. He needed a little more depth to be true hero material. Otherwise it has a good plot and flows well. Ms. Fallen is a very descriptive writer and helped bring the story to life.

Readers who like bad-boy redemption stories should give this one a try.

But when she finds a gravely injured soldier washed up on the River Seine, she’s moved by compassion. In spite of her reservations, she rescues him from the icy water and brings him into her home.

Now scarred inside and out, Gabriel discovers a kindred spirit in Ariah—and feelings he imagined lost forever reawaken as he observes her strength in the face of adversity. But when Ariah’s own lethal secrets unfold, their new love is threatened by ancient ghosts. Can Gabriel and Ariah find hope in the wreckage of their pasts—or will the cycle of history repeat again?

There’s a reason for everything and sometimes the most important battle we fight is one that allows us to forgive ourselves.

Finding Gabriel is historical romance about a wounded hero and the heroine who teaches him how to be brave off the battlefield. Together, they learn to live again and reasons to love again. It’s a beautiful and poignant story of healing the wounds that can be seen and the deeper, potentially more fatal wounds that can’t be seen, This is a smoothly written novel that took me back in time to live each and every scene in detail.

Gabriel is a commander, a soldier who have fought wars and came home when others of his squad didn’t. War is never easy on anyone but especially for those on the front line. What made this book more personal, more real is that Gabriel is fighting an internal war that is every bit as harsh and painful as what he sees on the battlefield. PTSD is more in the forefront of national news today but it isn’t a new condition since wars have been fought since the beginning of time. Gabriel’s a hero who doesn’t want the notoriety, he welcomes and even pursues death. When death alludes him on the battlefield he takes matters into his own hands. Fate has other plans and sends him an angel in the form of widower and single mother, Ariah.

Ariah is the wife of a soldier who has not answered his letters in months. She fears the worst. When she finds a floating almost dead body of Gabriel in the River Seine. She cannot find in her self to let him die. Ariah was an easy heroine to cheer for. She’s not had an easy life, she wasn’t a part of the French aristocracy, she’s a commoner who was dealt a bad home life and chose to make a better life for herself and her daughter.

When I originally chose this book, I first noticed the page count and thought It would take me at least a couple of days, if not longer, to finish it. I couldn’t put it down and ended up reading straight through. The story flows seamlessly and the emotions, especially for Gabriel, are just so raw. The romance builds slowly between Gabriel and Ariah but the timing is perfect.

This book is a must read for those who want to experience a man taken to his lowest possible point and then the glory of healing love. This is one of those stories that you still feel even after the last page. Pick up a copy and be prepared to immersed into beautiful world building and characters who steal your heart.

A sweet but sexy read consisting of a witch with a sweet tooth and a cowboy looking for his missing sister–how can this go wrong?  Together the cowboy and witch bring the best out if each other. I loved reading every moment of it.

Rebecca is a baker and witch who starts to fall for the cowboy who enters into into her life looking for his sister.

Now Rebecca is a sweet and kind woman who loves helping people even if it may hurt her–I could completely relate to her because haven’t we all had someone we’ve cared about even though we know it could end in disaster? I loved how Rebecca came into her own–it didn’t hurt that the cowboy Dru Tanner happens along about that time, too. This is a kind if damsel in distress trope, except Rebecca is an independent woman and she can take care of herself. She’s the type of person who will be there with her friends through the thick and thin, but she’s not afraid to give her blunt version of advice at the same time. Her sassiness drew me in. I wanted to know more about her and I couldn’t help but root for her. She felt real and I liked that. Now add in Dru and it’s a great story. The passionate chemistry between Dru and Rebecca was perfect.

There was little mystery and comedy in the basic plot. These elements enhanced the story. I laughed, cried and smiled a lot while reading this book. If that was the author’s plan–to make me go through the gamut of emotions, then she hit the mark.

I have to admit, the first couple of pages started out a little rough. I think the main reason could be either the tenses or the POV, but don’t let that discourage you. It took me some time to get into the rhythm of the story, but it was well worth holding on. I”m glad I did.

This is a book for a reader with a sweet taste and love a touch if mystery, paranormal and comedy in their books. Recommended.

I loved this book since the first page and I’m glad it’s the first in a new series!

Ava is smack dab in the middle of a prophecy that could be the start of a war that would change the paranormal world and bring about peace.

With every page I read, more was revealed and I had to keep reading. The world-building is great and the characters are well-written. For the first part of Ava’s life, it’s been pretty normal. She’s relatable that way, too. The thing is, she knows that there maybe supernatural or paranormal beings in the world. I won’t give away any spoilers–you’ll have to read the book to find out how she figures it out–but let’s just say it’s very close to her. It doesn’t hurt that her best friend has the power to see visions. Ava is thrust into a world that she knew almost nothing about but instead of panicking, she vowed to do the best she could and learn her magic with the help of her mother. It’s up to Ava to fulfill the prophecy and make her mother proud.  You’ll have to read the book to find out how this all shakes out.

Its a cliffhanger and I almost didn’t mind–which is good for me since I’m not fond of cliff-hangers. That said, the plot is well-written and kept my attention. I wanted to know more about these characters because they are detailed and likable even the villains are interesting.

If you want a book that will keep your interest, then this might be the book for you.

I had no idea how fast her life could be turned upside down by the former soldier turned horse trainer. I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to save her from the possible impending doom.

Trent and Kate are so different but also much alike. The nice thing about this book was I could pretty much guess that these two had a chance at forever. How they’d get there was the rub and I loved how it happened. No spoilers, but it was great! They had chemistry and a spark.

So what made this book so interesting? It wasnt only the mystery and suspense but also the relationship between each the main characters. This book was sweet and caring and then hot and sizzling. There were more twists and turns than a roller coaster! All of the twists and turns, plus the many dimensions of their relationship built the tension in the book and made it a great read for me.

Throughout the story, the mystery and suspense played a massive role. The story was cleverly written and I’m excited to see who would be featured in book two. I’ve got some ideas and I really hope the author continues this series. Getting to learn about characters that could feature in the next book and reading about some of their background only enhances and makes this story more interesting. I would definitely love to read the second book when it comes out.

Amaris and Jinx have had a thing for each other for a long time. This is a modern, shifter version of the hero coming to the rescue of the heroine.

Amaris is a very beautiful woman but she didn’t get to this point in her life by depending on her beauty–she worked hard to get what she wanted. I liked that.

However, she was at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed the death of someone important. This criminal will do everything he can to make sure that Amaris never gives her statement in court. Scary!

Jinx, her former crush and her best friend’s brother, becomes her protector. I liked how he was so strong. I liked how the author built the attraction between these two. I felt the passion and hoped it would increase. I wasn’t let down. Amaris knows that he feels something for her but there’s his past–he needs to get over that before they can have a real relationship. It’s a serious cliff-hanger! Will they or won’t they? Amaris and Jinx have a hot and sizzling chemistry and reading about them is very good. It’s an intoxicating read.

I have to admit, this book is a cliff-hanger story and while I’m not fond of them, this story will appeal to many readers. The story allowed me to understand the characters and see the passion, but also see the bonds start to form. Its a good short read and I’m glad I read it. What would make this a fantastic read would be to have the entire story and all of the details. I read it in one sitting and loved it. If you want the first the series to try out this author, then this book is a good place to start.

Set during the Bronze Age, The Wolf Queen is a fantasy romance with a heavy dose of the paranormal. Ms Heckart cleverly weaves in a lot of background history throughout the tale.

Alara is a princess from a foreign land, soon to be wed to a sorcerer king. However, she realizes that her betrothed knows a big secret about her tribe that he plans to use for his evil purposes. So she flees to the one person who can help her, Lycaon. A former king, he’s cursed to roam the earth in his half human, half wolf form.

Alara has a kind heart and a strong will but she’s also a strong fighter. She knows herself. And she knows when to retreat and when to fight.

With every day she spent with Lycaon she learns more and more about him and about the secrets long hidden. This was a surprising book. Honestly I wasn’t sure I’d like it this much, let alone finish it in one sitting.

Though this is the second book in the series and even though I haven’t read the first book in the series, I can safely say that it can be read as a stand alone. The plot was very good. Detailed. But not so much so as to be too much. It was descriptive and deep.

The characters, good and bad, were well developed. I could almost see them in my mind’s eye every time.

Alara and Lycaon had passion and a lot of it. Their relationship was not easy but their love was strong. I know it’s a little corny saying that but it’s the only way I could describe it without revealing too much.

A read any paranormal reader could love and one I highly recommend.

For anyone who has read about mates in the paranormal world know that they are possessive and in this case, it’s the same. For me it showed me the realistic side of this romance. I love the writing style of Miss Grenelle. It was detailed albeit a couple of times it felt like she is trying to fit too much into one book. Sometimes it felt a little hurried. However, I loved every bit of reading time I spent on this and I’m looking forward to the next book. Miss Grenelle has given the readers a hint in this book about whose story would be written and whose story we would be reading about. And I would like to say that this will only increase the readers need to get the next book.

Though Hypatios is not the main character, the ending depended on a lot on who he was. Was he a cruel and mad man or was he just misunderstood or something in between?

That being said Hypatios and Areus are two sides of one coin. It was interesting to read how different but also how very alike they are.

Areus is a powerful and strong king who falls in love with his wife. This is a fantasy, but the relationship and love between this couple is real and shows through. Loved reading the passionate and love filled fantasy.

I’m looking forward to reading more of this author. Reader’s looking to jump in on the beginning of a fascinating and exciting new series, in a vividly depicted world, should give this one a try.
