Double trouble. The McMillan twins, Robin and Bobby, are renowned for their talents—both as fine artists and for thrilling the various men who catch their eyes. As different in style and personality as their DNA is identical, they’re nonetheless best friends who divide and conquer, with Robin doing the serious painting and Bobby adding the sunny salesmanship.

But when their most important client decides Bobby must wield the paintbrush, the brothers revert to childhood tactics and switch places. Then along comes Micah, a handsome doctor who’s attracted to Bobby but invites Robin out to try to please his homophobic brother, and Paolo, the pain-in-the-butt client who thinks he’s wooing Bobby when he’s actually after Robin. Paolo harbors his own hidden pain that weirdly intersects with Robin’s, but pride and privacy conspire to produce what will either be a masterpiece—or end up as Dogs Playing Poker.

Robin and Bobby are known as Double Trouble, but all things must come to an end. The twins have fun but long for a happy ever after of their own. Bobby is the total opposite of Robin and when their latest and biggest client wants to dictate who will do the painting the men find themselves with a problem. The two soon find themselves in a sticky situation, pretending to be each other and finding that love could soon be lost to them. Meeting both Micah and Paolo turns the brothers’ world upside down. Both men are attractive but are they drawn to the right twin? Bobby and Robin must figure out if their newest job is worth the pain. Can they continue to pretend, and will it be worth it in the end?

Robin and Bobby may be twins, but they are total opposites. I loved both men, but Robin melted my heart. He seems to always take the brunt of everything and makes sure that Bobby is happy. Bobby could be too happy for me and at times seemed a bit naive. I loved seeing each twin find their way to a happy ending. Their adventure is full of emotions. It was nice to watch the relationships develop as their story progresses. Love blossoms while trust must be earned. It was nice to see that not only will Bobby and Robin always be there for each other, but their friends will as well. Micah and Paolo are strong characters and add a nice dimension to the story and I enjoyed seeing the four men not only interact as couples but with each other as well. Robin and Bobby learn that love comes to those that are willing to fight for it.

This is another great read in the Balls to the Walls series by Tara Lain. It moves along nicely, and the characters are full of depth and emotions. I was quickly drawn into their adventure and cannot wait to see what will happen next in this world.

When a handsome cowboy rescues Susan Blake from drowning, her life changes forever.

Branch Durham, a tall, sexy, Texas cowboy is way out of her league, but when he invites her to lunch, she jumps at the chance of getting to know him better, but a hurricane is approaching fast. With every exit road blocked, she takes Branch up on his offer of a safe haven to ride out the storm.

The woman Branch found on the beach intrigues him. Susie is fiercely independent, a little clumsy, and naïve, but she has no idea he is a Country and Western megastar with a ranch and oil fields in Texas. Being with her is refreshing, and for once, he can be himself without perpetuating his bad boy image.

As the hurricane intensifies turning the area into Armageddon, Susie’s dream of a new career managing her father’s condominium complex is shattered. She realizes she has no place to go and her future has blown away with the building.

With communication non-existent and only an old Indian motorcycle for transport, Branch must face danger to get her to safety then convince her to go with him to his ranch in Texas. He might save Susie but when she discovers his true identity, will he lose the love he has searched for all his life?

Susan Blake imagined her new life in the United States would be eventful but nothing like it turns out to be. Within her first week in the United States Susan nearly drowns, barely survives a tornado which destroys the building she was going to manage and finds then loses a wonderful man. As her life is turned upside down Susan finds solace in the beginning of what she thought was something special but when the tornado is over it seems that her relationship with Branch is as well. Susan finds herself in a dilemma does she listen to her heart or will she let everyone around them take her happy ever after away from her?

I enjoyed the premise of this story but found it hard to like Susan and Branch. Susan comes off as very naive and sometimes way too needy. She does not seem to have much of a backbone or personality. When Branch is not playing into his bad boy image he can be a good man but when Branch uses his bad boy image to make excuses for certain things he does with other women I lost respect for his character. Susan and Branch are hot when they are together, and you can see that they love each other very much. They go through a lot to find a happy ending to their story.

As much as I love this author this book was not one of my favorites. Branch and Susan’s story started out slow for me and the couple never truly grabbed me. Their adventure was an interesting one and it was nice to see the two stand together and fight for their relationship. Love is not something that can be tossed to the side and ignored and these two learn that lesson the hard way.

Werewolves mate for life, and although Omega wolf Walker Fuller had been in an arranged marriage, his wolf still feels incomplete after his husband’s death. Walker has his fill of dominant male shifters so he moves into a new town, wanting a fresh start. There’s just one hitch in his plan. His infuriating, sexy-as-hell next door neighbor happens to be the Alpha of the West River pack. Walker can’t stop thinking about Butch, but would anyone want second-hand goods?

Alpha werewolf Butch has a problem—a gorgeous and tempting golden-haired, blue-eyed Omega named Walker. Butch never thought there was a submissive wolf capable of tying him down, but Walker proves him wrong on all accounts. An Alpha’s not willing to take no for an answer and Butch is not backing down. Walker will be his mate and it’s time he show the Omega happily-ever-after is in the cards for both of them.

Walker has lived his life at the whims of his pack. Never able to do as he wanted or even to find love. He counted himself lucky that the man he was married to was understanding and modern enough to let him have a little bit of a life but when his husband dies all Walker can think of is getting away. He is nothing to his pack now and being a failure has been drilled into his head. Somehow, He finds the courage to leave and stretch his wings which brings him to a new town and a new alpha. Butch is ready to catch up on some much-needed rest, but it seems that his new neighbor has other ideas. As soon as Butch lays eyes on Walker he knows that he will do anything for this man. A twist of fate has brought him his mate and he will stop at nothing to secure their happiness.

Walker and Butch make a great pair. I loved watching the two find their way. Walker is stronger than he believes and without even knowing it he shows his strength. Standing up to the new alpha and his enforcers is not something to be taken lightly yet Walker does not see his worth and strength in what he does. I enjoyed seeing Walker find his own way and grow with the encouragement of Butch. This new pack is nothing like what Walker grew up with. Butch is strong, but he is also fair and loving. He is a good man that had to work hard to take care of his pack and is more than willing to fight for those that he cares for which now includes Walker. The banter between Butch and Walker is nice to see. The two work hard to make their relationship work. It was nice to see Walker begin to be able to stand on his own in a well-adjusted pack. As we watched Butch and Walker’s story unfold we also got to see the comradery of the wolves in the West River Pack. It was nice to see the friendship and loyalty between everyone. Butch and Walker’s story has just begun, and I cannot wait to see what more is in store for them.

Gina and Flynn’s adventure is a sweet story that will pull on your heartstrings. Flynn is a good man but fails to see the obvious way their relationship is and where it is heading. Gina longs for something and only he can give it. When Flynn tries to step up and do what he thinks is right things take a turn for the worse, but he does not let that stop him from showing Gina just how much she means to him. I really enjoyed watching these two find a way to a happy ending. Flynn shows what a strong and loving man he is with all that he tries to do for Gina. There is no denying the heat and sexual attraction that these two have but the love that these two have for each other is the biggest and best part of their relationship. Emotions are very strong throughout their story and it was nice to see Flynn fight so hard to give Gina her fantasy.

Earth beasts are sexier than he expected…

Welliver is a scientist first and an Outlaw MC member second. He’s the smartest man on the crew that’s exploring Earth to create a new home. But when a monster attacks them and he’s separated from the crew, he is saved by a savage and sexy beast.

The beast doesn’t remember his name. He was sent to the Earth prison when he was a boy and left behind when the prison was evacuated. Beast has spent nearly twenty years alone on Earth, trying to survive this dangerous world. He’s the best hope humans have for staying alive with these new threats.

Beast doesn’t understand it’s not okay to lick strangers, or the whole wearing clothes thing, but neither man is prepared for the attraction between them. Welliver will have to pull on his Outlaw MC heritage to endure the wilds of Earth but how will survive the savage beast?

Suck the Savage Beast has an intriguing plot idea and gives readers an interesting look at what could happen to our own world. Welliver is part of a small party that has left Mars and returned to Earth to see if it is inhabitable again. Humans have long since ruined and abandoned Earth for Mars but it seems that they have now also ruined what they made of Mars. The creatures that they encounter upon their return are nothing but dangerous and the crew must learn how to survive against them. A chance encounter has Welliver fighting for his life but an unexpected man comes to his rescue. Beast has lived alone on Earth for years now. Yet one encounter with Welliver and he claims the man as his own. What will Welliver decide? Can the crew find a way to live on Earth again and what will happen to their friends and family left on Mars?

I really liked the ideas in this book. Earth has been so polluted and destroyed humans left for another planet and yet they repeated the same mistakes and destroyed what they made on that planet. It makes you think a bit about what we are doing to the planet right now. Welliver and the rest of the people that make up the team are an interesting bunch. Each character had a good personality but they did not stand out. Welliver and Beast make a good couple and it was nice to see the two find their way. As much as I enjoyed the story-line it seemed to lack something for me. There was no real depth to the characters or their relationships for me. I did not connect that much with the characters making the story feel bland to me. I think that if the story was a bit longer we could have seen some more depth to the relationship and the characters, bringing them more alive to me.

Welliver and Beast’s story moves along at a nice pace and It was nice to see these two find their way to a happy place. Love can be found in the most unusual places and these two learn to fight for that love. This book is an interesting addition to this series and I am interested to see where it goes from here.

Yet it seems that help comes in the package of a man named Dom. When the threat to Parker rears its head, Dom takes matters into his own hands. I enjoyed seeing Dom and Parker find their way. It was nice to see the two fight for each other and what could be. Parker may not be a big bad alpha but he more than ready to do what he can for those that are left of his pack and for the man he has grown to care for.

Their story is fast paced adventure that pulled me in right from the start. I loved Dom and watching him come back from the dark place that he was to the wonderful place with Parker was a nice read. Love is always worth taking that chance and both men learn this lesson as they heal and learn to love again.

When she offers him money to pose as her fake fiancé, he decides that the money could help him out and allow him to spend more time with Val.

All hell breaks loose when Gunner is outed as the son of one of the werewolf world’s most notorious packbreakers. When Gunner tries to gain entrance into Val’s pack, he’s denied.

Despite their mutual attraction and their desire to explore their growing bond, they have a lot going against them. Will they choose self preservation or fight to be together?

Valerie and Gunner meet by chance in a small town and the attraction is instant, but now is not the time to investigate their feelings. Both have their own agendas that must be met. Gunner is on the run and has secrets that he cannot share yet Valerie won’t ignore the pull he has on her. She is ready to spend what little time they can have together before everyone must evacuate the town. Soon Valerie needs Gunner’s help and asks him to pose as her fiancée.  He can’t deny her. Will the two be able to fool her family while Gunner stays hidden and ahead of those trying to kill him?

Once again, I was quickly immersed in a wondrous tale from Selena Illyria. The author does a great job of bringing the characters and this world to life. I loved Gunner. He is a good man who has been wronged and is surviving the only way he knows how. Valerie is a strong woman who stands on her own and is ready to fight for what she wants and what is right. The two complement each other nicely and work well together. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape and seeing the two fight for their love. Their attraction may be strong right from the start but we get to see the two work hard at finding their happy ever after. Love does not always conquer all but it helps and Gunner and Valerie learn this the hard way.

Their story moves along at a good pace and with some twists and turns along the way. It will grab your attention and not let go until the very end. I loved that this story is full of well-rounded characters who stand out. Not only do we get to see Valerie and Gunner but many of the secondary characters shine. It gives you the feeling of knowing the inhabitants of this world and wanting to come back for a visit again.

An abusive Dom robbed Orion Gordon of his love of BDSM, destroying his confidence and leaving him unsure he’ll ever find peace through submission to another. Still, deep inside, his longing continues.

Marcus Sadir loves Hunter Dixon, yet can’t be the one thing Hunter truly desires: a sub to control. And Hunter can’t find satisfaction in the sadistic aspects of the BDSM lifestyle, while Marcus thrives on inflicting and sharing pain. When Marcus convinces Hunter they should find a third on a permanent basis, they discover Orion might be the key to bridging their differences and joining them on a deeper level.

But they must help Orion move past his trauma enough for him to enjoy new facets of BDSM and kink again. Their journey toward becoming whole—together—won’t be without challenges. Can Orion trust enough to try again?

Orion loved to play in the lifestyle and play hard. That is until one careless excuse for a Dom took it all away from him. Believing that he could trust the man Orion played without a safe word and let the Dom continue to play harder and harder until the day came that he played too hard. Orion awoke to find himself robbed of not only his dignity but his safety as well. He has tried numerous times to trust other Doms and get back into the lifestyle but each attempt has failed. When Hunter and Marcus enter the picture, Orion is more than conflicted. He longs to belong to the two men but his fear is still a wall to get past and Orion doubts he will ever get past it.

This is a great story full of well-rounded characters who are full of emotions. I loved each and every character in it. Orion is a sweet guy who has gone through a rough time and suffered some trauma yet he is trying his best to overcome it all.

Marcus and Hunter are great men who love each other and even if they are both Dominant men they make it work. Adding Orion to the mix helps balance them all. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape. Marcus and Hunter are both attracted to Orion and are open and honest with him no matter what. Giving Orion a safe place to try again. The love that the two men have together is beautiful and seeing them want to share that with Orion made for a wonderful read. The men are understanding and let the relationship move at its own pace allowing friendship turn into more. I liked that readers got to see a good balance of Orion and his men together and apart. Seeing into each other’s personal lives made for a far more interesting read and that much sweeter when they finally find their way. Plus, we get to see their personalities shine through out their story.

It was nice to see the camaraderie in this book. From the friendships to the relationships everyone stands by each other and is always ready to help. Not only did I enjoy Orion’s story but I also enjoyed getting a look at the other couples in this story and hope that we get their stories as well.
