Amos and Wesley sure know how to take charge when it comes to showing Keziah they love her and each other. The author put in a lot of great scenes of hot and steamy loving to satisfy a reader looking for erotic romance. A reader looking for that element will be as satisfied as the lovers.

Intensity is a quick erotic romance that was easy to read and kept my interest. The dynamics between Keziah, Amos and Wesley were well choreographed with dialogue and descriptions that complimented the story. I enjoyed the tidy and sweet happily ever after and I’m glad I read this book.

For such a short story, Healing Seduction packed quite a of wallop. Granted, I’ve come to expect nothing less from Jory Strong, and this story was no different. I loved getting a chance to visit her Crime Tells universe once again.

Kiera has been healing after the devastating loss of her husband. She knows that she has to let him go and move on, and she knows just the men to move on with her into the future. But they’re clinging to a sense of duty to her dead husband, and she’s not about to let that ruin her happy ever after. What’s a girl to do when she knows the men she wants want her just as badly? Why, push them a bit into a healing seduction.

I really liked Kiera as a heroine. She was much stronger than one would expect, and I had to respect that. Knowing such heart-wrenching loss has made her realize that one must grab onto happiness with both hands before it’s gone, and to never let go, and never look back. I loved how she was so determined to get what she wanted, and the way she forced the issue made me smile. Especially her men’s reactions to it. She’s definitely someone I would love to have as a friend, if only to live vicariously through her.

Lucca and Quade were both interesting Alpha males, even if they did need a swift kick in the rear that Kiera was more than happy to provide. Lucca was really quite admirable, if a bit forceful. Luckily, Quade balanced out the force quite nicely. Regardless of how much I liked him, and knowing that he was dealing with his own guilt in how Kiera’s husband died, there were a few times I wanted to smack him upside his head. I kind of felt that his change of heart was too quick considering just how conflicted he was about where this relationship had led them. Since he had good reason to be conflicted, I would have liked to have seen a bit more development of that internal conflict. But, keeping in mind that this is a short story and more had to be packed into this small amount of pages, I won’t mark the rating down too much simply because there truly was plenty of emotion right alongside the heat I have come to expect from Jory Strong. It just would have been nice to get a bit more time to see Quade’s realizations of what his ambivalence could be doing to Kiera and their relationship. Since it all worked out in the end, I’m not really complaining about how they got to that happy ending.

In true Jory Strong fashion there were funny and fun, if not downright fascinating secondary characters that I would love to see more of (ahem… Jake and Tyce anyone?). I truly got a kick out of their behavior and had to fan myself just in the short amount of time they were introduced. Alongside new characters, there were visits from old friends from the Crime Tells world, and it was a joy to see how they were doing in their own happy ever afters. Add in a truly explosive love scene between Lucca, Kiera and Quade and I was one happy reader. That first love scene between the three of them was intense, hot and incredibly passionate while somehow managing to be tender and even a little sweet at the same time.

While I wish that this story had been longer simply because I didn’t want to see it end, I honestly couldn’t put the book down and finished it both times I read it in one sitting each. For fans of Jory Strong and the Crime Tells world she has created, this is a must have for your keeper shelf. This fan was thoroughly entertained and can’t wait to see what else Ms. Strong has up her sleeve. This was definitely a well-written ménage that left me with a smile on my face.

It’s not difficult for Harper to pick up on Jonas’s animosity, which creates even more confusion and doubt. While she is attracted to both of the sexy men, she refuses to be anything less than an equal partner, and recognizes that with Jonas that may never be possible.

Elements of danger exist, but for the most part Twice Shy is a novella that centers on the three people, their conflicts, and the resolution that brings them together. The work itself is well written and fast paced, and the sex scenes sizzle. Aside from a few instances in which I was confused on who was doing what, I was able to enjoy the book from start to finish without ever putting it down. I should also mention that while it’s not necessary to read the first novella, Once Bitten, to follow along with Twice Shy, I’d recommend doing so if you’d like to have a full understanding of the key secondary characters and back story.

I liked that Tempe and Demetri had something strong on their own. They didn’t need Thanos per se, but adding him wasn’t altogether bad either. The third piece of this triangle is Chelsea. She has loved Braden for as long as she can remember, but refuses to deny the attraction she has for Jamie as well. Chelsea is a young woman, with a strong sense of family loyalty. She sacrifices her chance at college when her father is injured, helping out with paying for her sister to finish school first. Smart as a whip, I love the way Chelsea is able to be both sexy and innocent at the same time. When the three finally get together, the action gets hot and the sex goes volcanic.

Where were Aiden and Jace when Doublemint gum was looking for twins? What can be sexier than a pair of identical dragon shifter twins? I’ll tell you what — absolutely nothing.

I loved the fact that although Aiden and Jace are identical twins they act completely different. Aiden is the serious one, which is probably what prompted the Drakoni to make him their Superior Alpha-elect. Jace, on the other hand, is a playboy who just wants to have fun and avoid responsibility. The author did a great job of allowing you to see these characters as two different individuals. Even the dialogue each of the characters used showed the difference in their personalities. The one thing they definitely do have in common is both of their hearts are in the right place and neither thinks it is right to force Dana to be their sacrifice. You also cannot help but feel sympathy for Dana. She thought she had problems when she was just a starving artist. I am sure that would have seemed like a cake walk had she known she would have two dragons claiming her father offered her as a sacrifice to them when she was a baby. She cannot help but be attracted to them, especially Aiden whom she had dreamed about for years. With another dragon that may be out to harm her and dragon hunters around every corner, a few past due bills are the least of her worries.

The thing that made this story unique was the fact that, although a stronger connection was obviously between Dana and Aiden it still did not stop her from lusting after Jace also. How could any female resist Jace’s flirtatious nature? I think this really demonstrated how love and lust is not a clear cut line. Another thing that intrigued me was the fact that Aiden felt possessive of Dana, but still allowed his brother to also seduce her since that was what was expected of them. It allowed you to see his dedication to the Drakoni even when he did not agree with them.

With so many conflicts, I could not wait to see how the author got the main characters out of the bind they found themselves in. At one point it really seemed like everyone was out to get them. The author did a great job with the ending of this story. With so many different plot lines some authors may have forgotten to complete one or not had a very good completion of a conflict. This was not the case with this story. I was equally satisfied with all of the conclusions, especially the one with the hidden antagonist/hunter.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed in the hope that author Jodi Redford will create a sequel for Jace. If she does, it will be on my must read list.
