One woman in search of passion

Miss Cecilia Hastings has achieved what every young lady hopes for during her first London season…in duplicate! She’s caught the eye of not one but two of England’s most eligible bachelors. Both Jeremy Battersley, Earl of Henley, and Richard Huxley, Duke of Wexford, are handsome, wealthy and kind, the epitome of proper gentlemen. But Cecilia doesn’t want proper, she wants passion. So she issues a challenge to her suitors: a kiss, so that she may choose between them.

Two men in love with the same woman

Friends since childhood, and compatriots on the battlefields of Spain, Jeremy and Richard have found that falling for the same woman has set them at odds and risks destroying their friendship forever. But a surprising invitation to a late-night garden tryst soon sets them on a course that neither of them could have anticipated. And these gentlemen quickly discover that love can take many forms…

The Debutante’s Dilemma by Elyse Mady combined historical elegance with scenes hot enough to satisfy modern sensibilities. A very satisfying read.

This story is told with an old-fashioned presentation, a style reminiscent of the era in which it is set (early 19th century.) It’s in narrative form, telling, so to speak, setting a certain mood of yesteryear for the reader, and creates a charming feeling despite the distance it necessarily encompasses (until the reader gets to the “hot” scene, which draws one in closely and allows for a sexy sense of empathy.)

The language and setting details are so well done, a reader can get lost in that world.

Miss Cecelia Hastings is likeable because she admires a man for his actions and not so much for his family and money etc. She has “…no cravings for the usual mundane or quotidian aspirations.” She wants to marry for passion, making her more relatable to the modern-day woman in that regard.

Two equally great men want to marry her, and she has little time to decide between them. In a panic, she comes up with a wild plan to help her make her most difficult decision.

Richard Huxley is a duke, and his closest friend, Jeremy Battersley, is an earl. For a time, the fact that they both want Cecelia so badly comes between them, breaking up a friendship that goes back many years. Therefore, one must strictly avoid the medicine if case of diabetes, hypertension, click here for more best viagra in uk cardiac problems Do not take this pill consistently in such manner that it becomes habitual to you, as it may reduce further chances of natural erectile functioning. This is a sad situation, and both men ponder this. I found their realizations quite interesting. Can their friendship possibly overcome this impossible situation? And if so, how?

The time draws near for Cecelia to make a decision. I just had to know who she was going to choose, the suspense being so well written. More is at stake than just her future marriage. Her gutsy decision to do something crazy could make her dreams come true or lose her everything. The stakes are high…but she goes for it.

I really enjoyed this exciting little story. The end was a bit vague, a little too vague, but I figured it out upon careful reading. For a hot historical, don’t pass up The Debutante’s Dilemma.

Kalen is happy living her normal, human life. Though she’s the daughter of two strong werewolves, she inherited almost none of the wolf’s traits. She has a great job, a comfortable house and Brennan, her very sexy, very human fiancé. She has no intention of ever telling him that her family turns furry and howls at the moon.

Then Rebel returns, a childhood friend Kalen hasn’t seen in years, stepping out of the shadows of her past. Despite the desire simmering between herself, Rebel and Brennan, Kalen is not about to let Rebel screw up her plans for a normal existence.

But when an injury puts Brennan on the edge of death, there’s only one way to save him. Now Kalen must watch her fiancé turn into the very creature she fears, drawing her back into a world she left behind long ago. Her new werewolf’s lust and needs and their mutual attraction to Rebel awaken hidden depths in Kalen. Is she strong enough to keep two werewolves?

What’s a girl to do when all she has in life is a very sexy fiancée, a successful career and a very hot, hot, hot childhood friend who shows up one day on her couch half naked? Oh, and this particular girl is also a werewolf with an identity crisis.

Kalen is living her life as a human with little connection to her werewolf heritage when she is confronted with her past and two men who will need her to survive. With the help of Rebel and her werewolf family, Kalen is able to accept her true identity and at the same time teach Brennen to accept his new identity and embrace love from whoever holds his heart.

This is Book 5 of the Wolf Heritage series but it stands very well all by itself. The story moves so well, the detail and dialogue are so well placed and the characters are interesting, dynamic and diverse. The characters of the two heroes are so opposite to start and then their similarities emerge with such imagination. This book contains so much story you can read it twice and not come away with the same thing. I’m certain you will enjoy this throughout every page.

Emily returns to the country after a ten year absence. She’s almost twenty-two and very much a woman. Her first priority is getting into the pants of the three Macintosh brothers that she’s never stopped thinking about over the years. They’ve sure grown up and have to be the hottest cowboys she’s every known.

All three men easily fall in love with her, but aren’t willing to share. With such strong feelings for each of the Macintosh brothers, she could never choose between them. Her mission is to change their minds and convince them that sharing isn’t so bad after all. In fact, it could be down right amazing.

Emily went to the MacIntosh ranch looking for reminders of an untainted childhood, what she found was boys of her youth had grown into the men of her dreams.

It’s been said that you can never go home again, but what if going home was exactly what you needed to heal your soul and in turn heal the aching hearts of the men you never forgot? Emily Rickshaw had never resolved the terror she experienced at the hands of a family friend and had instead turned the anger into rebellion. Likewise, the MacIntosh brothers had each reacted to their own tragedy in equally unhealthy ways. They need Emily to heal the damage as much as she needs them.

When Ingrid’s car breaks down on a deserted highway, she’s rescued by the sexiest man alive. Though she gave up on love long ago, she’s more than willing to partake in a one-nighter with Callen and his delicious friend, Ethan. But it will take a lot of convincing for her to love again.

Callen can’t believe his luck when he spots the beautiful human female roaming around his territory. He wants her for keeps and doesn’t want to share with his alpha. Ethan is tormented between respecting the pack rule of “finders keepers” and following his heart. He knows that Ingrid is his destined mate from the first time he takes in her unique scent.

Can two dominant werewolves learn to share one female?

One is tough and the other is sweet; two men together is like enjoying a Charleston Chew Candy and the heroine is in for a wild ride.

Two Wolves Are Better Than One is the tale of a woman who had given up on ever finding an honest and loving man who would stand by her and decided to go back home and play with the toys that never let her down. Only, Ingrid, the heroine, never made it.

Ingrid is an independent woman but she’s ever hopeful that she’ll find someone to have a family with. She’s pretty much alone in the world so a reader is going to have some sympathy for her. And because she’s alone, Ingrid is pretty up front and honest with her body’s needs. She may not be prepared for what life is about to throw at her in this book but she’s prepared in other areas. I raised my eyebrows at that little tidbit in the beginning – not too sure if it’s even truly possible to do that or if women out there in the world are equally as … prepared as Ingrid. I’d be too chicken to do that. The heroine does have emotional needs and yearnings that a reader can relate to which makes a reader feel for her in that regard too. She’s not had an easy life and her road to her happily ever after is no different.

The conflict is a many pronged thing. This problem is a reduction or lack of emotional attachment with the partner can cause erectile dysfunction. tadalafil 20mg is widely used to treat the condition before it affects you too much. A fuller, bigger and harder erection is required for penetration into her genital passage and last longer in bed sample of viagra my link to satisfy her fully. The levitra cheap online Low Price Means Compromised Quality Customers value nothing more than quality. ED sufferers now have a great opportunity buy line viagra served a significant assistance to those ED patients for improving their condition. First the heroine has her issues of trusting and believing in Ethan and Callen, then she has to worry about her ex, then she has to worry about the conflict between her two guys. Ethan and Callen cause their own conflict which feeds into Ingrid’s which spiral around and around until I just wanted to knock their two heads together. I think Ethan is the most stubborn character I’ve seen in a while and he just can’t see the forest for the trees. He’s this he-man type that has no finesse. Oh, he’s earnest and he really does have strong feelings for Ingrid but he’s not smooth or subtle nor does he have tact. He needs balance but he can’t see that. Which is why Callen is so important. He is a mixture of alpha/beta and there’s a reason for that which gets revealed later. He satisfies another need that Ingrid has deep inside and I think the balance of Ethan and Callen is like a ying and yang type thing. They are two halves to make up the whole half to Ingrid’s solid half to make one. Did that make sense?

It’s a very tangled relationship that Ms. Espino wove throughout and it’s not an easy road to travel for the heroine. Inasmuch as there is plenty of wild paranormal sex to satisfy erotic readers, there is emotional growth that takes place too which I find important. I sort of felt the use of Brent, her ex, to be a pat vehicle to use during one part of the story but the author even made that interesting, to a point, so I didn’t mind too much. The external and internal dialogue helped solidify the personality traits for a reader and gives insight as to why they do what they do.

Two Wolves Are Better Than One is a very emotionally charged story bringing three diverse personalities into harmony the hard way. When Ingrid experiences each man’s sensual talents whether individually or combined, it’s hot, paranormally kinky and should satisfy erotic werewolf romance readers. I was entertained and liked the wrap up of the happily ever after and am glad I read this book.

Do you have a secret ménage fantasy? Have you ever wondered “what if”? Do you enjoy a buffet of talented writers offering samples of their craft that whet your appetite for more?

If you answered YES to any or all of these questions you will love the Threefold Anthology. I’m not going to go into detail about each story because the reader gets enough a preview in the blurb, so instead I’ll simply highlight what I enjoyed about the anthology as a whole.

First and foremost let me tell you I LOVE a good ménage!! Having a chance to read an anthology set that included writers of the caliber of Desiree Holt, Brynn Paulin, Kim Dare as well as three more amazing and talented writers was an honest to goodness “can’t miss” opportunity for this reviewer.

Anthologies aren’t for everyone. Something that readers should keep in mind is that anthologies are typically made up of 4 or more authors writing stories that are less than a hundred pages long. Don’t be surprised when the hero (or heroes in this case) meet, fall in bed and in love almost instantly. These aren’t epic novels. The plots in Threefold Anthology are fairly simple but developed well enough to create atmosphere, opportunity, some creative dialogue and even more creative couplings. The analogy I used earlier of an appetizer buffet is more accurate. This is just a sample of an author’s writing style and voice. They know if you like what you see you’ll come back for more. I can promise you there is something for everyone on this buffet.

The short stories in this set run the gamut from office romance, BDSM, voyeurism, sneaky seductions, enchanted statues, interracial alpha males, and some seriously hot M/M homo-erotic interaction in the final story that had me squirming even though the heroes never actually have intercourse with one another. The writing is smooth and the characters are memorable. While I did notice a few minor editing goofs it wasn’t enough to truly take away from the stories. No matter if you read the stories one or two at a time or read the whole book in one setting you won’t be disappointed in this sizzling collection from some of today’s hottest writers.

It’s a bumpy ride to dirtily ever after…

Wicked, Book 2

Harrison Jennera Abbot was born with a silver broomstick in her hand. Heiress to a Magian dynasty. Good witch extraordinaire. She’s sick of it. She longs to be human, normal like her friend Callie. Or, uh, as normal as Callie ever gets.

She thought running away would be an adventure, but three months playing human has given her a new point of view. Just as she’s ready to return home, though, the real adventure begins. In short order, she’s attacked, saved, kidnapped…and seduced.

Jacob and Ric are convinced that Harrison is the destined third of their triad—if they can convince her they won’t use her as a sexual chew toy, or a social stepping stone. Before they can make her beg for the match, though, she needs to know the truth about who tried to kill her. And why her brother keeps sending her cryptic psychic messages.

Hard as it might be on their Magian male pride, they might have to let her go…trusting that in the end, she’ll choose them.

What’s a powerful Magian to do when she finally meets her mates only to realize they don’t want her? Blow them up or run away? Personally, I would have lit them up but thankfully our heroine, Harrison Abbott, makes the smarter choice to run away. Lucky for her, and us readers, Jacob and Ric love a good chase. The fun really begins when they catch her!

I’m always just a little leery when picking up a novella. I’m worried that I’m going to be shorted on character development, plot and/or important details. That fear was almost totally unfounded with Wicked Bad. In just sixty-six exciting pages you learn who the Abbotts’ are, where Jacob’s family came from and how Ric came to be a part of his life. The women become horrified in the apprehension that if uk cialis sales her partner has got smaller male organ then what would happen. And, oh, the sexual tension!! Holy cow!! By the time the three finally come together I was needing a cool shower…I wouldn’t mind if it were enchanted either (you’ll have to read the story to understand why). Yeah, it was that good but no less than what I’ve come to expect from Ms. Alexander.

Jacob, a siren, is clearly the Alpha male but Ric enjoys causing him to beg almost as much as he enjoys do the begging. Harrison’s magic and chemistry compliment the men to make for one very powerful triune.

I’ve often heard authors say that while they love receiving high marks on reviews they’re always curious as to why a reviewer assigns a 4.5 as opposed to a 5. What didn’t work in the story to lose that half point. For me, in Wicked Bad, it was the scene with Jacob’s family. While I was given enough story as to why they left Massachusetts for Argentina there is so much room to develop how this prominent Magian family fell from grace. It’s possible Ms. Alexander felt that exploring deeper into the Gryffin family would detract from the main plot but she gave just enough of an introduction to whet my appetite. Oh, well, maybe we’ll see them again in the next installment.

Wicked Bad picks up just as Wicked Sexy ends but you don’t have to read the later to enjoy this story. It works very well as a stand alone. I think you’ll agree it wouldn’t be a hardship to read more of these exciting Mgian triune stories. Ms. Alexander leaves a perfect opening for the third in this series with Lorie and Conway’s story. This reviewer will be keeping an eye out for just that event.

Never venture out of bounds without a buddy—preferably two.

Dara’s past four incredible years have been lived to the fullest. Along with her best friends, Kane and Jack, she’s left no local wilderness unexplored, no ski slope unchallenged. Wary of the men who’ve recently been sniffing around Dara, Jack has a growing sense that he or Kane better make a move soon, or they’re going to lose out on their perfect match. Question is, who does she prefer…and who’s going to bring their easygoing trio to an end?

Overhearing the boys arguing over her, Dara’s floored—and torn. Choose between them? No way. Drastic measures are called for, a plan for their annual holiday getaway that will clarify her feelings once and for all—or lose everything in a sexual storm of whiteout proportions.

Living life full tilt is the only way Dara knows. Whether it is wilderness adventures or extreme skiing with her best friends, Jake and Kane, she gives it her all. For four years, they have been the Three Musketeers, all for one and all for adventure. Dara wants to settle down, and enjoy life with a future filled with love, but how does a girl choose between the two most perfect men she knows? Vivian Arend has a flair for stories on the edge, and this one is no exception. I love the character development in this one, and the sly wit that peeks in from time to time. The world building is realistic and the story is filled with laughter, emotion and scorching hot sex. The subtle touches by the characters, and their interactions and reactions are perfectly depicted.

I like Dara. She is smart and sassy, and determined to have her way with both of her hunky buddies. She is tired of being “just friends” with Jack and Kane, so instead of waiting for them to decide, she takes it all out of their hands, with some very sneaky planning of her own. I enjoyed her courage and determination to have it all.

I loved both of the guys, even though they were really quite different. Jack is the serious, thoughtful and logical man, while Kane is the devil may care risk taker. Both are delicious, and I understand why Dara wants both of them. I was happy to see, although they worried about the consequences, they were determined to remain friends no matter who Dara chose.

There really were no other characters in this story, other than some incidental folks that are in and out, but in this story, it really works best. I liked how the two men didn’t suspect what Dara did, and there were a couple of really deliciously naughty escapades to heat this one up quickly. This one is releasing just in time to warm up a cold winter evening.

An ancient vampire, an ancient grief…a love that makes his blood sing…

Midnight Playground, Book 2

London, 2069

Aleron is ancient, powerful, immortal…a vampire who idles away his time playing at his favorite haunt, Midnight Playground. His favorite toys: beautiful young men. His game: BDSM, experiencing through the minds of his partners the sensations he can no longer quite feel himself.

The one thing he has vowed to avoid at all costs is love, especially for a woman. In a hundred years he has never been tempted to break that vow—until a lovely mortal woman enters his dungeon to watch him play. And his blood hums the ancient song of long-forgotten desire.

Raised in the Indian slums of London, exotic dancer Meeraj enters Midnight Playground a woman with nothing left to lose, numb to all but the most extreme forms of stimulation. As she watches Aleron’s blood play, she knows only his razor-sharp skills will satisfy. And she catches an odd mental glimpse of the grief that shadows his heart.

From their first touch, they are caught up in a whirlwind of exquisite agony that releases their emotions from the weight of the past. Exposing them to risks they’ve both fought to avoid. Love…and loss.

I don’t know if there will be future books, but I am hoping that Ever gets his own story at least, but would be thrilled to see many more characters to come, because I do not want to see an ending to this series. Jabez Winton has been dead since 1920 but he can’t go into the light until he settles a few things with his descendants first. In order to be heard, he needs energy and when Rowena and her boyfriend, Nate, enter the old warehouse on an errand, Jabez sees his chance.

The couple are searching for Jabez Winton’s inventory but Nate can’t keep his hands off Rowena. After having sex on the table and against the shelves, the energy produced is enough to allow Jabez to speak to the pair. He’s able to tell the where the inventory list can be found, yet that doesn’t allow him to move into the light. When Nate comes up with the idea for a ghostly menage, Rowena is the one who will decide Jabez’s fate.

An unexpectedly hot and sweet paranormal read.

This was a nice quick read. I liked Rowena and Nate right off. They were very compatible and basically burned up the pages. I was curious as to why Jabez Winton was hanging around a storage warehouse. Maybe it has to do with being around his belongs? I’m not sure, Ms Brown didn’t really explain it. Her take on spirits being able to absorb sexual energy is pretty cool. I’ve never read this take on it before and it was a rather refreshing take on ghosts drawing power to manifest. Yet the thought of a voyeur ghost is slightly un-nerving.

I did notice a few minor typos, but nothing that jolted me out of the story. On the whole though, Ms. Brown writes a great story that had me reading straight through. This is a great book to curl up with and spend a quiet afternoon.

With great characters, a good plot, hot sex, and a witty ghost this is a great short story and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Brown.

Who makes life-altering decisions based on a fortune cookie?

Sans her family and sans a job, Lilly Marie is completely alone in the world. With only a broken heart in tow, she has nothing to lose by packing it up and starting over in the sultry Big Easy. And after all she’s been through the past year, encountering an eccentric woman in Jackson Square and actually following her instructions to “step onto Bourbon Street and into her future” doesn’t seem so weird. Who is she to question “destiny” when she’d uprooted herself because of a tiny piece of paper tucked inside a cookie?

What Lilly doesn’t expect is for a hero to save her from a rampant bicyclist and whisk her away to a place called El Destino to meet his family— “family” being four of the handsomest men Lilly has ever seen. Whether it is fate or coincidence, the sizzling and sexy men of El Destino take her into their capable hands to prove that there is no such thing as happenstance, and that undeniable passion and true love can cure any ailment, including a broken heart.

The lure and mystery that flavors New Orleans enhances the magic that surrounds and heals a woman whose heart has fractured.

I’m not too sure if this story qualifies as paranormal but the characters in the story truly believe in the aspects of magic and its influence and, with the delightful telling of this tale, I’m inclined to agree.

New Orleans really does have at its heart a yearning for true love, one that will last and can be trusted. Lilly is a broken woman, her spirit is battered by the loss of her entire family and she’s struggling to survive – not just financially but emotionally as well. She tries so hard and a reader definitely gets the sense that she’s a fighter. The problem is that Lilly is almost out of the ammunition needed to keep on going so in a last ditch effort she follows what she thinks is a whim. But is it? That’s the magical aspect of it because she meets someone who guides her when she needs it the most and I liked how the author presented that scene. Lilly reminded me of a lost puppy because she responded so honestly and openly to this strange person. That person made me smile too because I could actually imagine the scene. Ms. Alex did a remarkable job of bringing to life a person with charm, wisdom and spunk, even for a character who was only on stage for a brief period.

First Lilly meets Manolin and soon after the rest of the guys. Ms. Alex has a deft hand at creating unique men with diverse and distinctive personalities that come off the page and into a reader’s heart. I liked Xavier and Rafael but my absolute favorite is “dark and sulky” José Antonio. For some reason he touched my heart the most. Maybe because he didn’t just jump right into the relationship, I’m not sure but he was a man who seemed to have the most to lose if she didn’t fall in love with all of them as a family.

I sensed that he was afraid and that made his character all the more endearing. I think he needed to be loved just as much as Lilly did.

The conflict is mostly internal – can she learn to trust that their love, all of theirs, is real and lasting? Sure the sex is like Cajun cooking, hot, smokin’ and delicious but it’s the emotional need that comes across in the writing that makes this story so romantic and heartfelt. This is a great read for erotic romance readers because it delivers with creative intensity but it has at its center the drive to love her and have her love them. They need it just as much as Lilly and it’s really beautiful watching it grow. I’d have liked to have reveled in their afterglow of love a bit longer but as it is, they have a nice happily ever after. The final wrap up was a bit different for an epilogue as it was done in the format of bullet points. The happily ever after is guaranteed and a reader gets to know it for sure, which was a nice touch.

New Orleans is a wonderful story that delivers on its romantic promise. The characters touched me and entertained me and made me feel warm and fuzzy. Well, after I cooled down from all that powerful physical bonding; those couplings were pretty volcanic in their intensity. Through it all however, New Orleans kept true to what the ultimate goal was – Lilly finding a love that she could trust and believe in and find joy in living life again. It was great and I’d recommend this to anyone who wants an uplifting story with spice.
