Seducer’s Moon is the ninth book in the Lunar Mates series from author Loribelle Hunt. I enjoy reading romance novels about werewolves and the often mysterious world they live in. So I found myself easily intrigued by the world that Ms. Hunt has created. Her wolves in this book were sexy, with all the right alpha attributes. Strong and fierce, possessive and protective.  Gage was possibly more brooding and secretive than he had to be with Marilyn. After all, he almost pushed her too far a couple of times.

The book had an exciting plot and some compelling characters that kept the story fast paced. There was a lot of romantic angst and drama. Uber Alpha Gage Rylon has been keeping a cool distance from his mate, Marilyn, for years. He has been hiding his identity from the world. The truth will bring danger to his mate, and he felt it wasn’t safe, so he pushed her away until the time was right. Now it is time for all to be revealed and he is determined to claim his mate. The problem is that Marilyn has always known that they were mates, and his rejection was a hurt that cut deep. Then Gideon, the twin brother that he has been hiding, shows up to take his back in a coming fight. It seems that he is also Marilyn’s mate. In this world that Ms. Hunt has created for the readers, twin wolf brothers always share a mate. So there it is, the secrets are deep and the revelations keep on coming. The author threw quite a lot of danger into the plot, and a crisis that brings these three lovers together. Hunt gave the readers not one dull moment in this story. She brought some twists into the plot, changing the series up a bit and opening the way to some new books, that I am anxious to read.

I loved each character in this book. Ms. Hunt did a fabulous job of bringing each one to life in a different way. Gage had that wonderful alpha arrogance thing going on for him. But the author did good by giving him a tender and romantic side that is bound to endear him to the reader, as well. I certainly got all sweet on him, when it was revealed how he’d been giving Marilyn those gifts on her birthday for all those years. So even though he had done some things that weren’t nice, he had never forgotten that she was meant for him. Still, he almost let it go for too long, and he has some explaining to do when his deep dark secrets start to surface. I have to say that Marilyn was a perfect match for the alpha leader with a destiny to fulfill. She was a tough cookie, who stood up for herself without being shrill or foolish. She had been hurt by Gage, confused by his indifference, and she was capable of walking away from it all. Then Gideon came to town, and he was so different from his big brother. He and Marilyn had the same chemistry, and they hit it off from their first meeting. Even so, there was some tense scenes between them all. Gage has been keeping things from both of them. Now, no secrets are kept hidden and they get into it a few times. It takes a minute for everything to work out between them. More wonderful and exciting scenes for the reader. The plot calls for a menage and that is exactly what the reader gives us. This book has scorching hot love scenes, a menage with some anal play and some BDSM. It was so lovely to read. *Grin*

This book had a lot of romantic heat, a riveting suspense and the kind of dramatic heartache that I love to read. The story was written perfectly and it all came together in a good way. There is a lot of suspense with the investigation of a human trafficking organization and Sally’s part in it. Throw in Galen and Vance trying to draw out of her emotional shell and help her heal and there is a lot of great plot in this story. To top it off Ms. Sinclair can write a hot sex scene that enhances the story, and I found myself very much enjoying every part of this story. She includes some sexual themes that pushed my comfort soon but with the way that Ms. Sinclair wrote them I found them very hot.

This is a ménage storyline, but Vance and Galen aren’t involved sexually and I found the way that they handled the relationship very believable. They fought, they had misunderstandings, and they made up like any couple would, they just had the extra component of there being three of them.

I enjoyed catching up with past characters and even spending some time with past characters privately too. I highly recommend this story for fans of both romantic suspense and BDSM romance. I also recommend the whole Shadowlands series.

The author initiates a reader to a very complicated relationship dynamic between three best friends, Shelby, Max and Kyle. They love each other on various levels: long term, growing up as best friends, the new guy on the block that clicks with both, friends with benefits – the author had the characters revealing all sorts of ways these three love each other. The result is a depth of being, friendships that survive as each of them grow in their careers, in their lives and as they follow their dreams. Unfortunately for one of them, their dream is about to turn ugly.

That’s when the darkness shows up. The author explored that twisted, deviant and debasing period of Kyle’s life when he had to take a stand for what he believes in, and pays the price. I won’t mince words. Those scenes with the villain disturbed me. I want to warn readers of a few scenes during one of the early pivotal points in the story. I believe they can be classified as torture and rape. I thought about labeling it as forced seduction but the recipient fought it, it was against his will and he was angry. But it’s not gratuitous. There is a purpose to the evil deed and an even more powerful revelation and a credit to Kyle’s resistance. It lays the groundwork as to why the villain is so focused on achieving their agenda with the hero as the means to an end. One of the saddest tragedies of the whole story is what this does to his friendship between Shelby and Max. It’s a major conflict which dominoes throughout the rest of the book.

I started connecting to the characters more towards the point when all three were faced with running the gauntlet. It was at that time that I found the best dialogue, the most solid character interactions and the most interesting and fascinating plot points and revelations starting to occur. The pace really picked up for me and I couldn’t put the book down. Clues and facts were falling in place and many left me wide eyed and captivated.

What surprised me was how the author chose to have everyone saved. Although, I’m not sure ‘saved’ is quite the right word. It was actually a kind of bizarre and wild idea to fix everything the way Ms. March did. Some readers might think it over the top and maybe even a bit contrived. I got a kick out of it and in an oddball way found it funny. What are the odds they’d all become friends in the first place and then Wham! they become ‘super friends’? I quite enjoyed that plot twist.

Secondary characters served many purposes, whether they were onscreen a short time or popping up here and there throughout; everyone helped the heroine and heroes get to where they needed to be. I think the world building in the beginning, using the rogues and the indigenous people, was stilted. It didn’t flow well for me at first but I advise readers to stick with it. The author does have her characters emerge from that rocky start in glorious fashion. The secondary characters later on truly enhanced the tale, the plot movement and added extra layers of interest, excitement and enjoyment.

I also enjoyed the exploration of Max and Shelby’s relationship, then Shelby’s and Kyle’s. It became apparent that Shelby is the cream filling between Max and Kyle’s Oreo cookies. Erotic romance fans will have a lot of opportunities to watch them learn to express their love physically.

Defeat the Darkness is not a lightweight read. It packs a punch in both plot and character dynamics. It’s not a book that is stuffed with fluff and sweetness – it’s tart, tantalizing and at times disturbing. It has a solid story line and a complicated romance to go with it which concludes with a fitting happy ever after for the trio. If you like your paranormal romances to have bite, sauce and vinegar, and surprises, then give Defeat the Darkness a whirl. There’s a lot to like.

Lucy is the spunky sister to the resident tattoo artist we met several books ago.

Ms. Rainier was able to keep all of these characters fresh enough for the reader that when it was time for sexy Patrick and mouthy Beck to man up and accept their changing relationship with Lucy we were cheering and waiting anxiously for these characters happily ever after, which is one of Ms. Rainier’s specialties.

The Divine Creek Ranch series and it’s characters are so entwined and close knit that we still see our favorite characters from practically every book all the while any reader would be able to pick up any book in the series and not feel totally lost. Not many authors can not only juggle the amount of characters after 15 books but also include a cross over with another series/author and still pull it off as beautifully as she has done.

I can’t wait to read more from this author and if you are like feeling as if you’re meeting old friends every time you open a book, then I suggest you pick this up. You’ll feel right at home.

I’ll simply say one of the men compensated by working his way through every available woman in town (sometimes two at at time) and the other thought marriage was the answer. Not surprising, they were both wrong. Enter the one who got away who also happens to be the one who can bridge the missing piece between Ty and Gibb.

I really enjoyed this book but that didn’t surprise me. Everything I’ve ever read of Ms. Redford’s was purely entertaining. The plot isn’t heavy, the dialogue between these three (especially when Ty opens his mouth) is straight up dirty, and there’s just the right amount of heart and story outside the threesome to give it substance and purpose. Kayla’s issues with her mom and later a secondary character built some tension into the story to see how or if their difference would be resolved. While resolution isn’t absolute in this story it did leave an opening to come back to these character later.

I wanted Kayla to be as bold in real life as she was in her writing. It made it all the more sweeter that it was the encouragement of the two men who had loved her forever that helped her see her own worth. This isn’t a one sided relationship, which was nice. Kayla gives the men what they need to be able to open up and be honest with each. Once they all agree about what they want, be prepared for some serious fire and creativity. If the idea of double-penetration has you feeling a little light headed you might want to reconsider this book but I’d encourage readers to give it a chance. Ms. Redford makes a very good argument for pushing the envelope. I’ll be interested to see what she does next.

Speaking of future books, Ty’s sister Bailey reveals a tantalizing secret towards the end of the book that has me so excited to read the next book. I can’t reveal what but it also had me flipping back through the story to see if there were telling hints that I had missed.

This is going to be a fun little series to read and there are plenty of single characters left over in Wicked Shores (great name for a town, BTW) to keep me coming back for more if Ms. Redford chooses to write their stories. This is one reader who has her fingers crossed! I hope you’ll join me in this quaint little seaside town for all the excitement of friends coming home, families reuniting and love in the most unexpected places.

Brent and Carissa are meant for each other and the chemistry is off the charts. Brent brings out all the crazy repressed sexual feelings that Carissa has been hiding for so long. There is even a scene with one of Brent’s friends that is very sexy and worked for the story.

I definitely recommend this story for fans of unique shifter stories that are definitely on high end of the sex-o-meter.

Arin is a bit conflicted since she just got out of the only real relationship she’s ever been in, yet finds herself falling hopelessly in love with both Jared and Brent. I liked that Arin took the leap and decided to go for it with Brent and Jared even though her father didn’t agree and she’s still dealing with the issues caused by her ex.

Having Brent and Jared tied so closely together because of their past abuse was a new thing for me. It works for them, even if at times I’ll admit it brought me down when I was trying to read for enjoyment. I understood that it was there to add a bit of realism to their relationship but I admit that it was very hard for me to read. Brent and Jared together are perfect for Arin, and their almost telepathic way of communicating was great because they were almost always in sync when it came to Arin and her needs.

The sex scenes were definitely plentiful and in ways more realistic since they took things slow and didn’t immediately jump to full on sex with both men at once. That was appreciated and Ms. Barrymire can write a smoking hot sex scene, I was never left wondering who was where and when. It was all very clear, which is hard to do when trying to keep track of so many people and all of their limbs, but Ms. Barrymire pulls it off seamlessly.

I highly recommend this story, it’s full of hot scenes, lots of the great outdoors and enough internal and external conflict to keep the story moving along.

There were a few times in Two Doms for Vicki I found myself wondering why certain conversations were being held or why there was so much detail about a recipe or something similar. I thought it was because it added to the story in some way, the conversation etc, but it seems it is this authors style to pad out the pages with extra narration and detail. I wasn’t disappointed when it came to the detail in the sex scenes however. These were hot and intense and certainly hit the spot.

It was great that the author never made it seem like Aubrey was perfect either. She had to make some changes too. She had to learn to have faith and let some things go. The story showed the characters self exploration and their realizations for the reader to say. So she didn’t just tell me these things. She showed them to me and that is what I liked about the book. It was exceptionally well developed.

Now let’s talk about the love scenes. Yeah. You know that you want to hear all about that. *Grin* The love scenes were excellent ! Some scenes are played out at Consensual, the BDSM club in town. You know what that means ! Our triad gets busy exploring with some very kinky toys and situations. The series is set in the town of Sanctuary, Montana where the menage lifestyle is the normal way of life. Done the right way, I think this is a great hook for a series. I’ve read a few series like this one. I felt that this author did a fantastic job in the world building for her new series. She spun a good tale of romance and suspense, while introducing a lot of interesting characters in the story. I was intrigued as I’m sure that they will each have a story to tell. So this first book tells me the story of Aubrey, Riley and his brother Noah. They were an fascinating trio and I enjoyed reading about their journey.

I spent a few hours enjoying this book. Then I wanted more. I met so many interesting characters here. Now I really want to hear their stories. So I will be eagerly waiting for the next book to read. I would recommend this book. In fact, I already have raved to my friends who like the steamy romantic ones too. So I gave it my stamp of approval.
