Nicole Dennis is a new to me author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. What I found was edge of the seat suspense, wonderfully complex characters, a fantastic, if slightly dark, world, and an engaging and passionate love story.

Lauri is a strong heroine, determined to see the dragon she was forced to leave five years ago. I was caught up in the feelings between Lauri and Callum: on the one hand, he hates her for what happened to his guardian and himself. But he still wants her with all of his heart as well. The conflict was intense and drew me into the story. I was anxious to see if these two could overcome the past and forge a new future together.

I recommend this one most highly, especially for the steaming hot shower scene, and the wonderful happy ever after.

This added a little more depth to Liam’s character, and made for an amazing build up of tension. The author depicted him, as any virgin may be, uncomfortable with physical contact because of his inexperience.

If you are like me, and enjoy love stories that include some mythology and history, you will really enjoy reading this one.

I would thoroughly recommend this book to fantasy enthusiasts who also like romance. Romance readers would find this story very much to their liking as the paranormal abilities add excitement and intrigue. Young Adults of sixteen years an over would also find this to their liking. Definitely a book I would read again and again – I keep coming back when I really enjoy a book. Well done Chris Stevenson, have you written any more books like this? If so I’d love to read them.

Eric, Nick and Ally have become a part of my family and I’m so sad to know that this is the last book in the series because I would love to witness and experience more of their lives together as they continue to grow and prosper. Although this book and series is not for the faint at heart, if you’re looking for a book that allows you to enter a world where the sex is explosive, the characters will hold a special place in your heart and allows the reader to experience intense and unimaginable pleasure, but more importantly, love that’s everlasting, Triad is the book to read. Not only would I recommend Triad to my friends, but I would buy them The Courtland Chronicles as a gift.

Jesse’s Brother is a great read and I highly recommend it. The characters are multi-dimensional and as a reader I could relate to them on several levels. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the heroine should choose.

What I love about Ms. Ely’s plot is that it focused on the three characters. There were no irrelevant moments in the book for me. I simply could not put this book down and was sad when I read the last page. I wasn’t disappointed in the story, only the fact that the story ended. I am now a fan of Ms. Ely and can’t wait to read more of her work.

I liked Sarah from the start. Her mother’s past has tainted her, and she’s determined not to make the same mistakes. Working for a brighter future as a nursing student, she babysits on the side for extra cash. However, her interactions with Jason and his daughter Emily are not normal working circumstances.
