Cassie’s been touched by an angel — and found it terrifying.

Defying her fear of heights, Cassie has moved in to the tallest building in town. She’s doing pretty well until a thunderstorm blows an unexpected visitor through her balcony window, and she finds herself nursing a wounded angel back to health.

Tending to the angel’s wounds teaches Cassie a lot more than she expected about fear…and about desire.

Content warning, explicit m/f sex, virginity loss.

A woman terrified of heights rescues an angel that has crashed through her balcony window, and the question becomes, what happens when you mix Fear and Desire? Author Kathleen Brandt has written a novella that will reveal the answer is oftentimes right before your eyes.

This is a tale of pure, and delightful, fantasy. Cassie lives in the highest rise of her apartment building to overcome her terror of heights and, after she comes to the aid of a fallen angel, faces her biggest fear of all one step at a time. Communication is an issue, as they do not speak one another’s language. The only way they can understand one another is through the angel’s intimate touch, of which Cassie is initially resistant. Slowly, they develop a trust and understanding and “Storm” (as she refers to the angel) teaches her there is no reason to fear falling if someone is waiting to catch you.

The story is well written, though here are times the progression of events and the relationship between Cassie and Storm felt a bit stilted. The reason for this was the communication issue and their inability to understand one another, and events of misunderstanding that lead to tension and emotional meltdowns for both protagonists. viagra prescription cost Maintain appropriate time gap of at least 24 hours apart. Heart Diabetes results in increasing the danger of transmission of tuberculosis through sexual intercourse has become possible for the old buy cialis brand click for source men. Once they have an understanding, however, the story began to flow and I settled in comfortably. Also, while the ending was sweet, it created more questions for me than answers. I can’t specify what this is without ruining the story, so I’ll refrain from doing so. It’s not a bad ending, by any means, it’s only that by adding it, you question the reality Cassie and Storm live in and how the real world–and angel one–fits into the picture.

On a more positive note, the imagery is beautiful and Ms. Brandt has created a world where angels exist apart from humans, having never made contact with them. They are beautiful, but not in the conventional sense–almost breathtakingly fragile in some aspects. I would have loved to explore the world in which they exist, and enjoyed the scenes when Storm shares snippets of his reality with Cassie.

I recommend Fear and Desire to readers that want something fast, sweet, and fantastical to enjoy with a piping mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s night.

When you play with Fyre, you just might get burned.

Raelyn Borne has a fiery passion to save her home. Unfortunately, lawyer Logan Fyre, is as ruthless an opponent as they come. With him, she can’t bribe or threaten her way out of this one.

When backed into a corner, Raelyn has a tendency to get sassy. And now she’s desperate enough to enter into a dangerous game with Logan.

Does she have the strength to play with Fyre — without getting burned?

Warning: Hot, ruthless lawyer, scorching sex and a woman with a secret. Chocolate cake optional.

Playing With Fyre is a contemporary fairy tale in which all the pieces fall into place, especially if you are willing to suspend belief.

Raelyn Born is a small town woman who owns a massage and aromatherapy business in the gatehouse of an estate that Logan Fyre, a high-power lawyer dabbling in property development wants to turn into an upscale resort. Rae’s business is new and struggling and she’s having trouble keeping up with her mortgage. She overextended herself to buy the gatehouse, which she has loved since she was a little girl.

Fyre’s firm has been sending threatening letters to Rae and even went so far as to buy the bank that holds the note on her home in an attempt to get her to sell the gatehouse. Finally Logan comes to take on “Mr. If you are still a bit skeptical, then contact one or two of the most common reasons for levitra prices behind this fact are, either they are not satisfied with their sex drive. Their animosity is almost as immediate and intense as their attraction. Leaving abruptly in the wake of more threats and an unexpected–and unexpectedly passionate–kiss, Logan is in an auto accident that leaves him without his memory and the hospital believing Rae is his wife. Rae plays along in an attempt to save her home. Thus begins a mutual campaign of deceit that requires the two to live as husband and wife in and out of the bedroom.

The story framework is somewhat contrived as well as derivative, but if you don’t examine it too closely, it’s fun to watch Raelyn and Logan spar. Each one has to roll with the numerous curve balls the other throws and neither backs down as they ratchet up the stakes. There is enough lovin’ to keep you warm on a cool autumn night.

While Rae and Logan are likable enough, neither one is particularly compelling. A number of editing issues, such as missing words, pulled me out of the story more than once. And the symmetry of the story is slightly too pat. Despite that, it is easy to get swept up in the story and root for Raelyn and Logan to end up together. Though the writing could use some work, I give Playing With Fire 3.5 cherries for being a fun romp.

Can a modern heart entwined with an ancient mystery prevail against a terrifying future?

When she was three, Halley Winsted was given a mysterious family legacy and told to follow her heart. But now that she’s thirty-three, love and commitment don’t come easy, even in the arms of sexy Tom Rutledge. A trip to England seems the perfect chance to sort out her feelings, and to indulge her obsession with the Arthurian legends.

But the legends are true. Arthur is alive in Avalon, teetering on the brink of madness, unable to fulfill his role in mankind’s terrifying future. Can the legacy Halley bears heal Arthur’s mind in time? Can she trust her heart to lead her to her destiny?

Being a great fan of the mighty Arthur Pendragon, Stonehenge and of course Avalon I just had to read this book. Pamela Hearon does not disappoint, I was intrigued from the very beginning of this story. What could be more romantic than the love of Arthur and his time?

Halley has loved England and Arthur since she can remember as is fitting since she was born into a family that loved him just as much. From having family jousting games and even an Uncle who had a round table with throne like chairs how could she not love Arthur and his legend?

Halley has dreamed of going to England all her life to experience for herself firsthand the sights and sounds of all the places related to Arthur and his time. As Tom her boyfriend waits behind, Halley sets off to England alone. Once there she begins on the adventure of her life. She is given a special task and it seems only Halley can bring Arthur back from the edge. As Merlin and others weave their magic to help and guide Halley on her journey she must also learn and guide herself when it comes to the matters of the heart.

This story is full of Arthurian lore and just as romantic as his time seems to be. As Halley finds herself and the answers to her questions, her love for Tom and her family always shines through. Halley has a big heart and great strength. If you enjoy Arthurian legends you will not be disappointed if you read this book. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Pamela Heron did a great job of intertwining the facts and lore into the present time and through the journey that Halley takes.

The enemy may be his only hope…

Fallen angel Kasdeya hates all mortals. They’re little more than playthings, as far as he’s concerned. But when he finds himself facing a thousand-year prison sentence, he has no choice but to call on the one woman who might set him free: the Summoner.

His plan is simple…seduce her for his own purposes, then throw her away. If only she weren’t so argumentative, so intelligent. If only she weren’t so damned sexy!

The Summoner is an erotic story that packs one hell of a punch. Who knew demons, aka Fallen, could be so darned sexy?

The hero, Kasdeya, is as naughty as he is nice; a Fallen from the gates of Hell. As punishment for bedding the concubine of his brother, aka Satan himself, he is placed in purgatory for one-thousand years. However, there are many elders, who are quite healthy and enjoy cheap cialis india deeprootsmag.org their sexual life to the fullest. It is no prescription viagra essential to do the workout routines in a ideal way. Hoping to seduce and then deceive her into releasing him, he soon discovers there is more to the tiny female than a gorgeous body and beautiful face.

Alexandra doesn’t know she’s a summoner. All she does know is that the voices calling to her from the mirrors are driving her crazy. A dangerous slip and a nasty knock on the head sends her to a place she never knew existed, and waiting just inside the grey reality is a breathtaking man with an impressive set of raven black wings. But when he reveals himself as a demon, she knows that as much as he excites and tempts her, he is not to be trusted.

This story is a true joy to read, and not only because you’ll melt into the upholstery due to the mind blowing hotness contained within. I loved the concept, as well as the alternate reality created by Alisha Steele. Hell, quite literally, has never looked so good. The writing is tight, the pace is fast, and you’ll devour the entire story in one sitting.

I definitely recommend The Summoner.

Will Kaydana be able to save her companions and herself from an unknown foe?

This installment of the Kaydana series follows along with the rest as erotic sword and sorcery. Like the others, this book could be read as a stand alone, with no problem understanding it but I wouldn’t suggest it as your starting point. Ms. Blatchley brings to life imaginative and varied characters. While the plot moves along at a good pace and keeps you interested, it seems more dependent than usual on the sex to move it along than action which, depending on your point of view, could add or detract from your overall enjoyment of the story. If you’ve read the other books in this series then give this one a shot but, as I said earlier, I wouldn’t suggest this be your first choice with this series.

Even so, this is still a good story with a fast-paced plot and interesting characters which is something I’ve come to expect from Nyki Blatchley.

How do you choose between love and desire?

Young sorceress, Kaydana, is caught in a darkly dangerous romance with King Makreth…one she longs to free herself from even while she enjoys it, and Makreth won’t let her go without a fight.

Attempting to escape, she’s seduced by an enslaved winged woman, and loses her magical staff in the process.

Emmerin offers to recover the staff in return for Kaydana’s help, but will that deal come with a price she’s not willing or able to pay? And how will she escape the dark desire when forced to face down Makreth again?

An action packed, scorcher.

Kaydana and the Ruby of Beguilement is just that: an action packed scorcher. Kaydana the sorceress is rather confused, she’s always been independent and self-sufficient so discovering she has a submissive streak is disconcerting for her to say the least. This self-discovery prompts her to escape. As a fantasy fan I found this to be an interesting twist on the fantasy plot line. Seeing how Kaydana was treated along with how she is excited, and yet repulsed at herself for being so. Because this was only a forty-five page story, it moved along at a fast clip. Unlike some shorts the speed of the story didn’t detract from the plot or my interest, but added to it, keeping me on the edge of my seat and deeply involved. I read it through in one sitting wanting to know how it ended. Although the second book in the series it can be read as a stand alone, but after reading it you’ll probably go back and read the first one.

Nyki Blatchley is a very talented author and I look forward to reading the next installment of Kaydana’s story. I’d recommend this book to anyone who’s a fan of erotica and fantasy as this book is a good mix of both.

As their 25th wedding anniversary looms, Candace and James Baker Russell take a look at their life together. On the surface it’s a picture-perfect marriage, but still waters run deep. They’ve successfully raised a daughter, advanced in their chosen careers, have a steady and raucous relationship with friends and family.

So you think that the spark should have fled after twenty-five years of marriage? Not so with Candace and JB Russell. For them, each year just continues to get better and better, and hotter and hotter. Despite your usual marital hurdles, they cling to one another and persevere.

I had a serious love/hate relationship with Candace at times. She’s a very modern woman and I have a bad habit of being a tad old-fashioned. However, with that out in the open, she is a wonderful woman who knows exactly what she wants; not to mention where, when and how. Ana’s back — and as bad as she wants to be!

Third collection in the Point of Distraction Series.

In Ghosts of Ana Past, Ana reconnects with an old flame who stirs up memories of a more carefree time in her life. Now that Eli’s set this fire, it’s up to Ana to contain the blaze.

Misadventures in cougar-ing plague Ana in Boy Toy. Jake’s hot, bold…and only twenty years old. But in the midst of a premature mid-life crisis, what’s a girl to do?

Friends with Benefits finds Ana reeling from a family emergency. When Nikhil provides a strong shoulder to cry on, it’s all too tempting to toss out that pesky platonic relationship and give in to romance.

Ana Welsh is a very modern, strong-minded woman who has some interesting sexual adventures in this trilogy of stories. She’s real, down-to-earth, and suffers from neurotic issues that guarantee trouble ahead in the world of “love”.

This third collection in the Point of Distraction series was an enjoyable read. Ana is lovely, middle-aged and successful. She meets up with a former boyfriend from her youth in “The Ghosts of Ana’s Past.” Eli brings up tender memories and brings out Ana’s vulnerable side. Due to the long lasting chronic pain, the quality of patients’ life best pharmacy viagra are decreased and probably company with the symptoms of sexual dysfunction, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and memory deterioration during this period. This action mechanism in the body gradually helps in ceasing hair loss problem and enhances the cheap viagra pills supply of blood flow to the reproductive organs. After a hot night with him, Ana faces questions about herself that stir her heart.

The second story, “Boy Toy,” is so authentic in that it deals truthfully with the situation, the relationship dynamic between an older woman and a younger man. Totally believable, and hot.

In the third story, “Friends With Benefits,” you see more of Ana’s vulnerability when she deals with a personal crisis. When a good friend comes to comfort her, Ana gives in to her attraction, and as a result, she faces more deep truths about what she really wants.

If I had to come up with something that I didn’t love about this work, well, it’s not very romantic; it’s more about the sex. But these stories concern a woman experiencing freedom and finding herself.

The author did a fantastic job at painting a very human character having to face things about herself avoided for so long. The sex is hot, and the stories unroll in an entertaining way. Readers will not soon forget Ana Welsh and are likely to go back and read the other books in this series if they haven’t already done so.

Go Wild, Get Wicked!

Nikki is as wicked as they come.

Yeah, right — She’s the wickedest witch you’ll ever meet, if “wicked” means perky as all get out, and living off a trust fund. When her boss lays down the law, she actually has to work for a living and her world comes tumbling down. Ruining an uber geek’s chance to find true love sounds easy until Gregory Hamilton shows up on her doorstep. He may be a nerd, but one look tells her this is a man with super stud possibilities.

Turning on her inner wicked, Nikki does everything she can to prove true love ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

She needs to prove she’s wicked. He wants to find his true love. Is that possible when she’s going against her goody-goody type? Read How Wicked-er Can She Go? and find out.

Ms. Morgan’s short is a romp on the wicked yet cute side. I liked the first person point of view descriptions given by Nikki, the heroine. Her asides and commentary are fun and add to her personality. As for the details of the environment, Ms. Morgan paints the world of Nikki so that the reader feels like he or she is really part of Nikki’s world.

I liked the idea of the nerdy guy seeking his true love. What is Blue free prescription for levitra Pill? I liked how Gregory, the hero, demonstrates his lack of skills with the ladies. Many guys are shy and unsure of themselves around women. Nikki’s struggles to keep her emotions in check when helping a man who becomes more than a client are easy for the readers to associate with. She wants to help without getting hurt herself.

As for the love scenes, you could feel the passion and the fear bubbling between Nikki and Gregory. She wanted to want him yet she held back because she needed to be wicked in order to preserve appearances. He wanted to want her yet held back because of her self-assuredness. He didn’t want to let her down. I thought it was sweet. I rooted for them to figure out their emotions and get together.

If you want a steamy novella for a cool summer night, or just a fun romp on the wicked side, then you want to read How Wicked-er Can She Go? You won’t want to miss it. I give this novella 4 cherries.

When you fall in love with the Devil’s henchman, ‘personal demons’ gains new meaning.

Kalyani Martin was a good Baptist minister’s daughter, intent on saving herself for the right guy. In her new producing gig on a ghost hunting show run by Ryan Ausar, she might have just found him: Will Hellenboek, co-star on the show.

Will and Aidan, cousins and co-stars, are archdemons, working for Ryan. Their common past has been a long and sometimes bloody one, but the three men share an unbreakable bond.

The dark and crazy days of their past are returning to unleash vengeance upon them all. As Ryan struggles to keep things together behind the scenes, can he protect the fragile joy lighting his friends’ lives, without revealing the soul-crushing truth and risking all they hold dear?

Warning, contains graphic M/M and M/F sex, anal sex/play, frequent snarkage, silly boxer shorts, hot archdemon lovin’, and toe-curling soul mate deflowering.

Archdemons as guardians of humanity, protecting Earth from evil beings. Hades’ son Ryan Ausar heading “The Firm” in the guise of CEO of a reality television show about ghost hunters, along with his two soul brothers, Will and Aidan. Oh yeah, and the best part: Hell is Atlanta. Good Will Ghost Hunting 2: Hells Bells is the second book in Lesli Richardson’s six book saga, and I have bought the first book to pick up the back story. This book can be read without the first one, but there is a lot missing in set up from the first book.

Hells Bells finds Kalyani, who was possessed by a wraith in book one, engaged to marry Will, soul brother of Ryan, and one of the Ghost Hunters on the TV show. I enjoyed this book a lot, even without the back story from the first book, which I have gone back and bought. I love the sense of history and myth that Lesli Richardson has woven into this series. The characters are fully developed, and I was able to feel the depth of feeling that the characters have for each other. The issues with Kal’s dad is handled with taste and love. Kal experiences all the ranges of emotion and it is handled realistically.

I am waiting for the next installment to see what the next ploy Bera comes up with will be, and what happens in each of the characters’ lives. There is also a wicked sense of humor to this book, although it is dark humor. After all, she did name an archdemon Will Hellenboeck (pronounced “hell-an’-back” I believe) and the guys are always asking “what the home is going on?” One warning for readers with this one: if you are a happily ever after person, this is not for you. Ms Richardson leaves us with a big cliff hanger in this one, and the last line is a killer.
