Life starts at forty? Biggest lie ever told.

Leisha here—AKA crazy cat lady—resigned to live out my dotage with said felines. Okay, dotage might be pushing it a little, but, you know, sliding down the wrong side of forty is not the fun it’s cracked up to be.

Until I’m drafted in to help out at Santa’s grotto, and then, well, crazy doesn’t come close. This new Santa is decidedly odd. Who ever heard of the man in the red suit not granting wishes? Still, when in Rome and all that…

Not in my wildest dreams did I ever think my wish for two Doms would be granted. However, when my two rescue cats magically transform into drop-dead gorgeous hunks come Christmas morning, we’re all in for one hell of a ride.

But the problem with magic is … can it last?

Leisha ends up working at Santa’s grotto for the day when all the regular staff come down sick with food poisoning. After an exhausting day, she’s surprised to find herself sitting on Santa’s lap and being encouraged to make a wish for Christmas. Tired of everything, Leisha is bold and tells Santa privately exactly what she wants – two Dominant men to tie her up and use her perfectly, and to love her exactly as she is. No one is more shocked than she when that’s exactly how she finds herself spending her Christmas holiday.

I thoroughly enjoyed this steaming hot, sexy threesome story. While a lot of the plot wasn’t unique or new to me, I really loved the author’s tone and Leisha’s modern, slightly sarcastic and very honest view-point. I could totally relate to the woman and almost instantly found myself cheering along for her as Santa granted her rather naughty (but very honest!) Christmas wish. I found Aran and Caid delightfully hot, dominant and sexy characters and while there’s not a huge amount of intricate plot, I still found myself engrossed in the situation Leisha finds herself.

The threesome sex was hotly written and delightfully decadent. Readers looking for a sizzling ménage romance with a lovely hint of kink to it. I found the BDSM to be well-written, but fairly mild and feel it shouldn’t be too much for most erotica readers. I found Leisha in particularly to be an exceedingly relatable character, and when Boxing Day rolled around I really felt for her. I was thrilled with the happy ending and feel it should satisfy that desire in all romance readers for things to work out well. Leisha, Aran and Caid are a hot and sexy threesome and I feel they should certainly put a blush on most readers faces.

Hot and a little bit kinky, this was a good short story and one I enjoyed reading. I’d happily try out more stories by this author.

While focusing on a project involving human and shifter DNA experimentation, not only will he have to safeguard his people, but that of the alluring and willful beauty, Charity.

Will two people from different worlds come together for their happily-ever-after?

Charity’s life had undergone a complete change when her brother died unexpectedly in a car crash, leaving Charity with guardianship of her six year old neice. Moving from DC to a small town in Arizona Charity is determined to give everything – including all her time – to Leah and make the small girls life as normal as possible. Mason loved the freedom being a hawk-shifter gave him. After noticing Charity, Mason had been learning everything he could about her. He was surprised to discover she was the sister of a man Mason and his team had been working with. With more questions than answers, both Charity and Mason discover they need to work together to try and uncover the truth.

I found this to be an interesting and well plotted story. There was quite a bit of information in the first part of the book, which I honestly thought was handled in a good way. While the author came close to some info-dumping I genuinely couldn’t see where it could have been pared back to keep the pace of the story moving faster. I personally felt that the background on Charity and how she found herself in the middle of Arizona with a new life and her young niece was important for the context of the story. Also – the history behind Mason – both his gifts, the shifter world he lived in and the unusual circumstances surrounding the work he was a part of – all was central to the main plot and the reader had quite a bit of background/information to catch up on. Thankfully, for my tastes, the author kept my interest with this transfer of information and helped me understand the situation – not just wanting to skim past it and get into the real meat of the story. I’m uncertain if other readers will feel the same with this, but I personally thought it was handled well

The mystery aspect of this plot – what, exactly, is being conducted in the research laboratory and the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the “accidental” death of Charity’s brother – are very strongly in the forefront of much of this book. Indeed, while I enjoyed the mutual attraction and chemistry between Mason and Charity throughout the book, a part of me wondered at times whether this might be a paranormal mystery book with a bit of romance, rather than an erotic romance book with a bit of a mystery in it. Particularly for the first half of the story I feel that the mystery and plot aspects certainly are on centre stage, with the romance, relationship building and other aspects of Charity and Mason’s growing connection taking a back seat. I’m uncertain this will appeal to readers looking for a strongly explicit, heavily erotic story. That said, Charity and Mason finally get their romantic relationship moving forward – both in the bedroom and out of it – in the last third or so of the story. When they do finally get there, I was pleased that Mason and Charity were as compatible inside the bedroom as outside.

With a very strong and wonderfully complex plot as well as a number of interesting and well-written characters I feel this is a very strong first book in the series. Readers who enjoy a complex mystery plot and a different sort of shifter story should find this book as enjoyable as I did.

Hiring the builder who came highly recommended, Jackson is intrigued by his instant attraction to Ethan. When Ethan starts to flirt with Jackson they both are keen to see where this could lead them.

I found this to be a fun and sexy short story. I enjoyed the slower way that Ethan and Jackson came together – Jackson being shy and Ethan seemingly not want to pounce. This helped me as a reader get my bearings on the two men first and come to enjoy their interactions and the progressively steamy teasing they performed on each other. When they finally came together I was more than ready for it and wasn’t disappointed with the heat they generated.

This is a simple and short story but I felt it packs a lovely punch. Most of the Christmassy aspects of the story don’t occur until toward the end (it takes time for the deck and renovations to occur) so I feel readers looking for a strongly Christmas themed story might feel this falls a bit short in that respect. But I really enjoyed both Jackson and Ethan’s characters and the slow but steady and sexy progress they make as they come together and fall in love.

Macho, sexy and hot, this is a fun short story that I really enjoyed.

When State Trooper Rory Sanders arrives on the scene, he’s awestruck at the sight of the gorgeous woman taking charge. Once the frenzy is over, both are reluctant to walk away from their mutual attraction. But they’ll each have to get beyond their hesitations, such as Rory telling himself it’s okay to let love in while raising his daughter after losing his wife, and Frankie who’s never had a serious relationship in her life because she’s been focused on school while also helping raise her nephew. Will the power of love win out and make their Christmas wishes come true?

Frankie had enjoyed her time as a nurse in the Navy, pleased to be out of her small home town. But after a number of years she knew the crazy pace and action was enough for her and she returns home to settle down. Driving home Frankie comes across a bad car accident and she races to help the injured man. There, she meets Trooper Rory Sanders. While neither Frankie nor Rory are looking for love, they can’t deny the attraction between them and soon that blossoms into something far more special.

I found this to be a fun and somewhat sweet romance. This had quite a feel of a small-town, heart-warming style of family story to me. Rory’s young daughter and Frankie’s young nephew added strongly to this, and I feel readers looking for a hotly erotic, intensely sexual story might not find the intimacy and heat level high enough for their liking. Personally, though, I felt that the emotion and connection between Rory and Frankie was lovely and the slower pace of the story helped me feel that their relationship and attraction was more realistic. While Frankie had been single and focused on her study for some time, Rory had lost his wife a few years ago and I enjoyed the good balance I felt the author made. Rory hadn’t been looking for love, but both he and Alisa, his daughter, had finished most of their grieving for their tragic loss. I felt they were both in a good place to move on to a healthy and new relationship with Frankie. I was pleased there was very little drama/conflict in this area as I believe it would have felt clichéd to me and ruined the happy, gentle, heart-warming feel the story really had going for it.

With a strong cast of secondary characters – both Rory and Frankie’s parents, Alisa and Sammy the two respective children in their lives and a whole host of animals on Frankie’s farm – the story feels full and colourful without being crowded. I really enjoyed how the author managed to make the story feel busy but not like animals or characters had been crammed in for the sake of it. While I really would have liked a little more spicy bedroom action (there’s only one, very brief intimate scene in the last few pages of the story), it really is lovely to read a slower-paced, romantic story. While I feel readers looking for a sexy or erotic story might find this disappointing, I have to admit a hotly erotic, sexy story just wouldn’t have fit in with the family-orientated, farming, small-town feel the rest of the story had.

With vibrant characters, some Christmas good-cheer and a lovely happy ending this is a great, warm read and one that I feel should appeal to a wide range of readers.

Will Stewart do more than deliver food to the hospitalized Hawk? Will Hawk be able to help Stewart study for his paramedic classes? Will the men ever admit their feelings for each other, or will they remain roommates with benefits for the duration of Hawk’s recovery?

Stewart can’t believe it when he unwittingly let the general’s wife’s cat escape and get stuck in the tree while he’s meant to be cat-sitting. Not even an open tin of herrings is enticing Pie to come down, and so Stewart – terrified of losing his niche clients – calls the fire brigade to come save the day. Hawk knew from the moment he met Stewart that the handsome man was his, but Hawk breaking an ankle and a wrist put a serious crimp in his plans. But both men are determined to not let a few small mishaps get in the way of their getting to know each other better.

Fast paced and with the attraction between Hawk and Stewart sizzling off the page I found this to be a fun and interesting story. Sit back, leave reality at the door and enjoy the sexy shenanigans. I enjoyed the slightly tongue-in-cheek writing of Ms. Jakes here, the humour of the story mingling well with the sexily hot Marine-fire-fighter. Neither Hawk nor Stewart were inclined to move slowly or hide their attraction to the other and this helped the pace of the story move at a good clip. There is nothing timid or shy in this story – from Hawk asking Stewart to give him a “helping hand” in the hospital (Hawk couldn’t see to his own self-care with a broken wrist) to Stewart inviting Hawk to come live with him on less than an hour of the two men knowing each other. Realism and subtlety were not strong suits in this short story and I found I didn’t care at all. The men were smoking hot together, their chemistry explosive, and for a short sexy story it wasn’t like I wanted the men to talk to each other for the whole time.

Full of sexy good fun, a few laughs and some interesting escapades, this is a quick short story that sizzles right off the page. While a part of me would have enjoyed getting to know a few of the secondary characters a little better – Stewart’s grandpa is a hoot and some of Hawk’s Marine-fire-fighter buddies sound absolutely delicious – I can’t blame the author for focusing on Stewart and Hawk, given that this is their story and there wasn’t really the page-count to delve deeper into these other interesting characters.

Sexy and hot, this is a blistering short story that I feel should appeal to many readers.

I enjoyed this quick short story. While a lot of the plot fell into pattern I recognized easily, I was thrilled that there were still a few twists that I thoroughly enjoyed watching play out. I feel readers will need to suspend their disbelief quite a bit, but the happiness of the story and the warm-fuzzies that I got from Jon and Nic making new traditions and coming together for Christmas was well worth it to my mind. I thought the conflict between Nic and Jon was very understandable, but I was still a little disappointed that it felt a bit clichéd to me. While it certainly added to the drama and tension of the story I have to admit I was enjoying the happy, Christmassy and wishful feeling the short story had encompassed up to that point.

With plenty of magic, Christmas wishes and festive warmth, I found this to be a lovely short story and a good read. I was very pleased with the happy ending and found the chemistry and attraction between Jon and Nic to be intense and lovely. A good, Christmassy read.

Kelly Sadel has lived her life by a feels-o-meter since showing emotion as a kid was a big no-no. A timid analyst and fur baby momma, she avoids anything that stirs up her boring life. Secretly, she crushes on the man who rides the elevator with her every morning — he’s a unicorn amidst an office full of conservative short-hairs. He also sets her nerves on edge, topping her feels-o-meter to the limit, an oh-no in her carefully constructed world.

Accidentally dumping a box of cupcakes on his loafers grabs his unwanted attention, and he isn’t too quick to let go.

Jamison Byrne has worked his way through the submissives at Monique’s club hoping to find his own little subbie. He wants a collared sub, a woman to enjoy mutual pleasure his ropes bring without getting emotionally involved beyond scening.

Jamison sweeps in but finds his feet swept beneath him as her nurturing nature opens him in ways he never expected. Sure he has found his “person,” he needs to find a way to share his darker desires and get Kelly to stop holding back and feel. He knows he can set her free, but does she want him to? Can he help her find the courage to face the emotions that come with submitting her body — and heart?

Kelly couldn’t help but drool over the handsome, buff Jamison Byrne every time they caught the elevator together. While he certainly wasn’t her type and she knew she’d never dare make a move on him, a girl could look, right? Until one morning Kelly didn’t look where she was going properly and ended up dropping a box full of cupcakes onto Jamison’s shoes. Absolutely mortified, Kelly is determined to forget the incident, only Jamison is determined to have her in every way and discover if Kelly is as submissive and sensual in the bedroom as she appeared in the elevator.

I found this to be a seriously steamy, lightly kinky BDSM story. I was a little uneasy at first. While we, as the reader, knew for sure that Kelly was attracted to Jamison I felt that at the very beginning of the story he walked a very fine line between confidence and arrogance. I didn’t think Jamison ever stepped over the wrong side of the line, but I was nervous that even after Kelly gently and politely turned him down Jamison nevertheless had a bundle of self-assurance (thinking how he “knew Kelly wanted him” and how “women didn’t say no to him”). I was pleased the author made it clear that Jamison was interested in Kelly because of the desire and attraction he felt for her – it wasn’t his ego or pique that had him chasing after her. But until Jamison realised he wanted to be friends – not just intimate – with Kelly I worried that this sexy story could have gone either way for me, personally.

There’s a mountain of chemistry and attraction between Jamison and Kelly, but I was pleasantly surprised that they took a good amount of time to get to know each other and became friendly before stepping over to be intimate together. I was pleased for this slower beginning – both Kelly and Jamison have baggage and issues that needed to be worked through and I feel that their relationship was a lot stronger – and more realistic – because of the time and effort they both spent learning about each other and spending time together outside the bedroom. The fact Kelly wasn’t in the BDSM lifestyle and she needed (I feel) to be eased into the kinkier aspects of Jamison’s life was addressed quite well and I thought was handled with care.

Despite the slower-paced start, once Jamison and Kelly become intimate I felt this story really flew high. The attraction, care and genuine feelings between Jamison and Kelly really convinced me they were building something lasting. They were friends as well as lovers and delving into the BDSM lifestyle together. I didn’t feel the kink was too envelope pushing – mostly rope-play and a bit of voyeurism at the club Jamison was a member at – and most erotica readers should find the level of play between Kelly and Jamison to not be confronting.

A steamy and fun read, this was a good short story.

Gray’s path crosses Cameron’s, and he realizes together they might have all the ingredients to save the day—with maybe enough left over for something sweet just for the two of them.

After breaking up badly with his boyfriend and business partner Gray had tried hard to remain cool and keep their joint restaurant going. But it had proved impossible and despite the fact Gray was an excellent chef and loved the business, he couldn’t make it work. So he grabbed the opportunity to go home for his sister’s wedding with both hands and was determined to have a plan for what his next move would be before he had to leave again. Cameron loved living in his small town, but there was virtually no chance of him finding a boyfriend anywhere nearby. Despite his lack of love-life, Cameron loved his work and home and had finally decided he’d rather stay in his small home town than try to find romance elsewhere. But then Gray comes back home and both their plans are thrown to the wind.

I really enjoyed the slower pace of this story. Rather like the relaxed, slow pace of the small town, this romance took it’s time and let the reader come along on the journey with Cameron and Gray. I loved how there was definitely sizzle between the two men when they first met, but neither was willing to flirt too hard or step too far over the friendly “nice to meet you” line as they each had a lot going on in their lives right there and then. Yet in such a small town they each needed the other’s help for various things and so after a few more meetings the chemistry between them couldn’t be ignored and a lovely relationship started to bloom.

Readers looking for an intensely hot or prolifically erotic story might not find that here. While I adored the slow pace of the romance and loved how completely believable it made the whole story for me, there wasn’t much heavy action or physical intimacy between Cameron and Gray. This wasn’t a problem for me, personally, I still really enjoyed the story, but I could understand if readers looking for a hot, steamy M/M might find the spice lacking somewhat in this tale. I really liked how there were a number of interesting secondary characters – family of both Gray and Cam for the most part – and felt this really helped make the small-town feel of the story that much more vibrant. I also really enjoyed how the wedding of Gray’s sister was such a central part of the plot but didn’t over-take either the romance blossoming between Gray and Cam nor did it take over the story and leave everything else as a back-drop. I felt the author did a really good job of balancing everything out nicely in this story and I really enjoyed it.

With interesting characters, a lovely slow pace and a heart-warming, slow-town feel this story was great on a number of fronts for me. I really enjoyed it and will happily try this author again.

Luka is a waiter who is enjoying himself exploring the world. Although Crispin is very shy, the two men hit it off – and with plenty of support from Crispin’s group of friends – Crispin and Luka start something that could turn wonderful. Only Crispin’s holiday comes to an end and with Luka’s free spirit neither man knows if they can make something work for a longer-term setting.

I found this to be a lovely, warm and emotional read. Much of the story (almost the first half) sets up with the main cast of characters – Crispin and Luka in particular – and shows the two men forming the basis of their relationship in Germany at Oktoberfest. I was really pleased that the author spent a solid amount of time on this aspect as it made the enormous change in the latter half of the book not seem like an over-exaggeration. Most of the story’s worry/conflict revolved around whether the two men could make a long-term relationship work out between them. Crispin is painfully shy, but also very much the homebody, very wedded to his family home, his roots and his solid, stable, dependable life. Luka is nearly the exact opposite – a free spirit, raised by wandering parents and with wanderlust deep in his own veins. Logic would dictate that these two men couldn’t fit well together – but both Crispin and Luka come to love each other quite quickly and they’re both determined to try and make it work.

Readers looking for a full-length, emotional and spicily sweet romance story should find exactly that here. I thoroughly enjoyed both Luka and Crispin’s characters, and adored Crispin’s rowdy troupe of best friends. I personally liked the slower pace of the romance – it made the vast differences between Crispin and Luka’s lives feel a lot more realistic. Instead of them just each deciding to make their relationship work and “bam!” it turning out all right, there were a number of steps and plans and things they each had to adjust for and to. And even when Luka finally came to visit Crispin in his home I loved how they each needed to continue making adjustments without any sense of drama or over-inflating the situation. Indeed, the realistic nature of their romance and the way they each danced with give-and-take was one of the best things I loved about this story.

With real characters, strong emotions and a whole host of “good feels” this was a great story I really enjoyed.

Designing naughty pieces in her spare time to build her portfolio and working at the NYC retail branch of an internationally acclaimed lingerie company fits her plans ideally. The icing on the cake—or the lace on the lingerie—is a perfect first date and kiss with her hot-as-sin boss. But when their second date goes awry, Christi is left wondering if she’d gone too far or if she should take another chance with her snowflake seduction?

Christi works in a lingerie shop and while she enjoys it she’s really hoping to save enough so that next year she can take an internship in Paris. Having the hots for her boss, therefore, is an unexpected complication. Lane might be British but his manners and communication skills leave a lot to be desired. He blows hot then cold and Christi is going mad trying to work out where she stands with him. Can they both find a Christmas miracle and get onto the same page?

I found this to be a fun short story, delightfully Christmassy and lighthearted. I was a little nervous at how long it took Christi and Lane to come together intimately. Much of the story has just a few steamy kisses until right toward the end when readers are rewarded with some deliciously naughty, sexily hot intimacy. Told from Christi’s third-person point of view I missed having a glimpse into Lane’s brain – but didn’t feel the story lacked too badly from the reader not really getting to know how things worked from his perspective. While I did enjoy how hot and cold both Christi and Lane ran – it really made understanding them both a little complicated.

I was very slightly disappointed that Christi had a little mini-tantrum when Lane bumbled asking her to come to England for the holidays with him. That part of the scene felt just a little over the top to me and a bit much. I did really love Christi’s character, finding her exuberance – and her love of lingerie – something I could easily relate to. Overall for such a short story I felt there was a huge amount of relationship developed between them and enjoyed the author’s writing style.

Steamy and sexy with some naughty lingerie thrown in for good measure, this is a good, quick read to get you into the holiday spirit.
