He’s no longer content having Jane to himself once a week. Jane’s become his drug, his unhealthy obsession and Jacob will do anything in his power to make her permanently his.

Jane was a world-renown wedding gown couture seamstress – her career was blossoming, her reputation as a perfectionist who could get literally every stitch correct meant she as in high demand. And once a week, for just a short night, Jane belonged to Jacob – she submitted her whole life, her entire world to him and his delicious demands. Their single weekly evening was long-held and well established in it’s boundaries. So what happens when they each begin to crave more?

I really enjoyed this short story. Both Jane and Jacob have their problems – neither are the textbook perfect Dom or sub and yet this helped make them feel both more real and more relatable to me. Their imperfections and flaws helped make these two character memorable to me and helped me see that despite their seemingly perfect lives they each wanted something more from the other and were terrified in their vulnerability – scared that they might risk losing the one thing holding them both together.

I thought despite the short length of the story that the pace of the changing and growing relationship between Jane and Jacob was really good. Such a significant change when their current routine was so well established would have felt weird and unbelievable to me had it occurred too quickly. So I was really pleased with how the author paced the whole story. It was also very clear from the very beginning that Jacob and Jane were both on the same page – just each reluctant to be too forthright or enthusiastic for their own – very different – reasons. This lent the story a real air of believability to me and made it eminently relatable. Changes – particularly such drastic changes in such important relationships – can be fraught with worry and danger. So the slow, gradual easing away from the old and toward the new was wonderful to read and I really enjoyed it.

With some pretty intense BDSM scenes and a lovely slow build up this was a great, quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

City planner Noah’s terrible year started when his wife left him for their twenty-year-old neighbor. Ever since he met James though, things have been looking up. James is smart and kind and now Noah—whose only romantic experience with men was a brain-scrambling spin-the-bottle kiss in high-school—is utterly confused because he can’t stop thinking about him.

James and Noah have similarly-aged children which they share custody of with their respective ex’s. Their friendship formed over time at their local park bench while they each watched their kids play. James has a crush on Noah, but since Noah is the first friend James has made since he came out of his depression after his break-up with his husband he’s loathe to rock the boat, particularly since Noah is straight. Each man holds the friendship dear, but what happens as things slowly start to change between them?

I adored this modern and realistic short story. Both Noah and James were vibrant and layered characters who were more than just two single men with kids on the prowl. I loved how they complimented each other – Noah so calm while James could be so fearful and nervous about his child’s safety, or how James is so self-assured and knows himself inside out, but Noah is still trying to learn about himself and find his niche. The two men were far from polar opposites, they had plenty of similar characteristics, but they just seemed to mesh and work so well together as a team – to cover each other in so many respects.

I also really enjoyed how the pace of the story and romance was slow enough to be believable but fast enough to not drag. James and Noah had been meeting at the park for a number of months – so much of that “getting to know you” initial phase was completed and didn’t need to bog down the story. But each man was only really starting to come to grips with the depth and strength of their feelings for the other so I felt the story was really balance and just the right sort of pace for me.

This story was equal parts humorous, sexy and uplifting – I adored watching Noah try to grapple with his sexual identity, I loved watching James learn to trust and conquer his fear and grow strong in himself and best of all I was totally in love with the solid, romantic and sexual relationship Noah and James began to forge together through their friendship, support and shared experiences raising their children and trying to piece their lives together.

I found this to be a delightful story and one I will totally relish reading many times again in the future.

A casual submissive at best, Mallory isn’t keen to do more than dip a toe into the world of BDSM, but when she finally meets Mason again he tempts her to break all her own rules.

I found this to be a lovely, kinky and spicy short story. I mentally gave Mallory some major kudos for sticking to her rules and not just immediately taking Mason up on his offer when he asked her to play on their first meeting. Mallory had a fairly firm personal rule of keeping her BDSM light and uncomplicated – a bit of fun and spanking then heading home by herself and giving herself sexual satisfaction. While it slowed the story somewhat I felt respect for Mallory that she knew her person limitations – and knew that Mason would blast through her reserve and change her needs and desires – and she was reluctant to just throw caution to the wind. Her strong sense of self and sticking to her guns appealed to me and I loved this aspect to her character.

I felt quite conflicted about the paranormal aspect to the story. While I could see it added an extra element to the story – having shifters “out” in the world and the complexities that added to human and shifter interactions, in many respects this extra element felt a bit lost amongst the BDSM aspects to the story and the complexities of Mallory and Mason’s growing relationship. It felt a little like there was just one element too many in such a short story – and while individually they were all excellent plot points and very well written, it felt a little crammed together to me and there just wasn’t the time and space to really unpack and enjoy each one.

Readers who enjoy BDSM scenes should find this story really suits their needs. There is quite a descriptive scene shared between Mallory and Mason toward the end of the story and I feel it’s quite well written. Steamy and sexy I enjoyed the chemistry between Mallory and Mason and feel it should definitely satisfy most erotic readers. I personally felt that Mallory’s capitulation – both sexually and in relation to their bond – was a little sudden and didn’t feel overly realistic or logical to me. I think in large part this was due to the short length of the story and Mallory leaned a lot of new data in a short space of time and so her decisions from this appeared at least to me to come quite suddenly. A part of me wished these aspects were a bit better explained and there was more time for the reader to keep up with everything that was happening.

Sexy and kinky with two interesting and well-layered characters this was a good and hot read.

Will she regret her decision, or will Thomas be the man to finally make her kneel?

Thomas had tried for years to connect with Kendra. As an acclaimed fetish model Kendra was well known in the industry, and Thomas thought she was the Holy Grail for his career as a photographer and reporter. Kendra had done her research and knew exactly who Thomas was, secretly she was a huge admirer of his work, Thomas’ photos managed to capture the intensity and devotion of the relationship and unique bond between a Master and his submissive. Kendra craved that but knew it wasn’t for her. How would they both deal with the circumstances when they finally meet and they each have their chance?

This is a smoking hot BDSM erotic story. Not for the faint of heart the connection and instant chemistry between Kendra and Thomas sizzles from the first moment they meet. I was particularly pleased though that their relationship wasn’t just a bunch of attraction and chemistry. Kendra was nursing some serious wounds and baggage from her past and Thomas was more than just a playful photographer out for his next big shot. I loved how the author made the characters layered and complicated, and peeling back down through the layers was interesting and an excellent progress in the plot. While a fair bit of the story was pretty easily foreseen, there were some twists and turns that both delighted and surprised me.

I also really loved how while the usual elements of BDSM and the lifestyle (the kinks, the toys etc) are strongly portrayed in this story, the author has really delved a lot deeper. I enjoyed Thomas and Kendra really exploring what it can mean to submit, to not portray a persona or react/act as one is expected to. For many BDSM at its core is about exposing ones vulnerabilities and trusting, letting everything go. This is central to what Kendra and Thomas struggle with together and what their growing relationship revolves around. I found this to be a refreshingly different take on a traditional BDSM story and it helped really sell the story to me.

With interesting and complicated characters, a solid plot and some seriously smoking, kinky sex this is a great story.

Scott and Beau have both been hungering after Connie for ages, but the two men were friends and Connie flatly refused to pick and choose between the two of them. When Scott and Beau acknowledge the fact that neither wants just a fling or a quick, hard ride with Connie – but something more permanent and lasting, they decide the only way to have her is to share. Can the three of them find a suitable arrangement?

I found this to be a smoking hot threesome story. While Scott and Beau are friends and not sexually interested in each other I enjoyed their friendship and the easy way they had with each other – it helped me feel them sharing Connie together was more believable. I did enjoy how the two men clearly lusted after Connie and wanted her as part of their lives. The attraction and chemistry between the three main characters was hot and enjoyable.

This story really centered on the growing and logistics of the threesome relationship. I enjoyed the fact that Scott and Beau didn’t “take turns” but really actually shared Connie together and tried to build an equal and balanced relationship between all three of them. Considering the seemingly small town they lived in and – more important – the friendship already cemented between Scott and Beau I felt that forming a ménage was more logical and realistic than their initial approach of splitting up days in their wooing phase.

I wasn’t sure in the beginning if I enjoyed the fact Beau and Scott kept their relationship together platonic. On the one hand this was something refreshingly different – most threesome stories I’ve read recently all three parties are sexually intimate – but I also wondered how the two men would fare longer term by sharing the one woman and her affections. The author really made this situation work and I found myself relaxing and enjoying the story more and more as it progressed.

While I found the conflict aspect of the plot a little clichéd – the town gossip and the petty small-mindedness of some people – overall I really thought the whole story was solid and relatable. To my mind this book really is centered around the threesome relationship and how it can work, how each individual needs to learn to trust, to open themselves and it was just lovely to read about Connie, Beau and Scott finding the ways they could all slot their lives together and build a relationship that could last.

Equal parts sweet and smoking hot this was a good story and one I enjoyed.

Rocko had been alpha of his pack for many years and was happy to do what was needed – including killing many humans – to protect his people and keep his pack safe. When Rocko comes across a woman who had been imprisoned by her own human kind, having heard about her protecting an injured pack child Rocko decided to enslave her to take care of the infant girl in his charge. Winter – given the choice between dying along with everyone from her town or being a prisoner and responsible for the life and wellbeing of the baby girl decides to embrace faux motherhood and being the child’s nanny. Will Winter or Rocko regret their hasty decisions?

This is an interesting and fairly intense story. Readers looking for a light or fluffy werewolf/paranormal story won’t find that here. I was a little surprised at how intense I found Rocko – his violent streak, while suppressed, bubbled just under the surface and his near-hatred of all humans had me surprised he chose Winter to become part of his household, albeit in an enslaved and very limited sense. The author explained Rocko’s reasoning very well, but it still surprised me. Winter had been punished and hated by her fellow humans for showing compassion to an injured child of the pack, and Rocko was a believer in the old adage “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, but it still felt a little bit contrived.

I really enjoyed the plot around the baby girl – Daphne – and Winter. It was clear that the circumstances surrounding Rocko getting custody of the child were complicated and something he absolutely wasn’t going to discuss with anyone, especially not Winter in the beginning – so watching that unfold was delightful. There is also a strong plotline revolving around the continual conflict between the humans and the wolves. I feel this lends an edge to the story as the skirmishes – while off screen and not descriptively written for the most part – are quite bloody and violent. I really felt it gave the story an air of barely suppressed violence and a darker edge than I’m used to with my paranormal romances.

The growing chemistry and attraction between Rocko and Winter was steamy and very well written to my mind. I was thrilled that the author gave them both some time and space to circle and slowly come together. Had they simply jumped into bed together from the start I really feel their romance and the strength and trust they both came to feel for the other would have had far less of an impact. The longer length of the story and the numerous other aspects of the story helped highlight to me just how fragile and deep the connection and eventual relationship between Rocko and Winter grew to be. I really loved this aspect of the story and felt it was really well written. The steamy hot, smoking and explicit sex was pretty good too.

Readers looking for a slightly edgier and harder style of paranormal romance with a bit of clashing between the wolves and humans and sex hot enough to burn the page should find this story really fits their needs.

I enjoyed this sweet and happy short story. I particularly was pleased that while Jenn and Camp are both fairly happy and simple people externally, they both had baggage and a past and were more complicated as they deepened their relationship. This helped them feel more realistic and relatable to me. While I adore uncomplicated and happy characters, something just clicked when they each showed a more vulnerable side and part hurts. I also really enjoyed the fact that while they each had an ice cream food truck and were in a similar area with similar clients they didn’t let this “rivalry” get in the way of friendship and exploring a deeper and more romantic connection between them. They didn’t perceive each other as annoying competitors or stealing anything, but were happy to let their friendship – and more – blossom and grow and work together. I really loved this happiness and positivity and it made the story really fresh and enjoyable to me.

There was a quick blitz of plot toward the end which I felt injected an interesting hint of surprise into the story, but I couldn’t help but feel it came a little out of left field and felt somewhat rushed to me. This didn’t hurt my enjoyment of the story and while a little puzzling certainly made the adventure of Jenn and Camp coming together and beginning their relationship have a bit more zing than the usual sweet and sugary romance.

Sweet and positive – this was a wonderful “feel good” story and one I really enjoyed. Readers looking for a summery, happy and enjoyable short read should find this totally ticks all the right boxes.

When Kingsley Tours – and Brahms Kingsley in particular is offered the chance to take over her store’s rental agreement Bailey and Brahms find themselves circling each other’s orbit once again.

I really enjoyed the complexity of both Bailey and Brahms characters, how they had a number of conflicting desires and feelings that made their relationship – and lack thereof – interesting and slightly different from other stories I’ve read. I also really enjoyed how the small town was filled with a cast of very strong and vibrant secondary characters. It made the community feel really involved but also extremely realistic to me and this greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

While I felt the conflict of the story was pretty clichéd – Brahms’ father’s cruise company buying the lease on Bailey’s family’s shop and the friction this causes between them and the big business coming into the small community – I have to admit all the other elements surrounding the story and the genuine affection Brahms felt for Bailey helped round this feeling out. I also really enjoyed the novel idea Bailey had to help float her ice cream store and bring in a lot more traffic.

I love how the author gave plenty of time and space for Brahms and Bailey to connect and become emotionally involved with each other, with the support of the numerous town folk as well and the friction of Brahms’ father’s new business there was plenty of plot and action pushing the pace of this story along so it was lovely to see Bailey and Brahms taking their time and connecting together a bit more slowly.

Sweet and good this was a lovely story and one I enjoyed.

I found this to be a really enjoyable, happy and light story. While Georgiana’s problems are fairly serious, and a part of me found her solution (to taste a specific ice cream that started her in childhood on the path to opening her own ice cream store) slightly ludicrous, there was a happy, easy and lighthearted charm to the entire setup that had me smiling and eagerly turning the pages. I loved the author’s writing style and really felt like I was there at the Faire Park on the lake, sun shining, water glacial blue with the rides and music like every wonderful memory I have of my own childhood. The author did an amazing job setting the scene and laying everything out and I found myself swept along with Georgiana and her cause.

There is a very sweet romance between Georgiana and Michal. I have to admit the romance is sweet and chaste enough it took me quite a while to really get into it and the concept of them forming a lasting and emotional connection. There was a fair bit of paranormal threaded throughout the story and while I feel like the story could have been equally amazing had there not been quite such a heavy influence of magic and fairies I certainly felt like it added an extra and interesting element to the story.

Light and fun with a hint of summer holidays, delicious ice cream and a very sweet and enjoyable romance, A Neapolitan Fairy Tale At Lake Okoboji is a great read.

I enjoyed how this story was short enough to read to youngsters, but still had a solid plot and a lesson for adults to help impart to children. I feel this gentle but important moral should help teach children about being fair, showing tolerance and not taking revenge when others treat them wrong. This lesson was repeated a few times – shown with the red and orange ladybugs, the toads and the frogs, then the squirrels and the chipmunks.

I thought it quite important how even though Ollie got frustrated when the garden animals wouldn’t listen to him and get along, Ollie persevered until playing with his own friends gave him an idea on how to sort his own problems out. While Ollie admittedly showed a maturity and wisdom well beyond his young years – I feel the delivery and lesson showcased throughout the story is a vital one for youngsters and is one well-deserved on repeating over and over.

The brightly colored pictures and easily-relatable style of the story should hopefully keep kids both entertained – but also help them learn the important life-lesson being portrayed here.

Fun and a lovely short read, this is an excellent book with a great moral.
