Trying to distance herself from the life of Kings of Chaos hasn’t been as easy as Bluebell Strong thought it would be. An enjoyable read with a unique plot that, for the most part, kept my interest. There were a few areas that fell below the line of entertaining. Perhaps those scenes could have been omitted or in some way added to the storyline to make it more interesting versus making the story drag. This may sound weird but I enjoyed the author’s writing style more in the first part of the book better than I did the latter part. What I mean by that is the first part of the book revealed Blue, her thoughts and her feelings. The author wrote lines that had a poetic flow but as the novel went on it lost that style. It’s possible Blue started out as a strong woman willing to take a stand for what she wanted, going against her family and ending a relationship that she knew wasn’t for her. I liked that Blue. I didn’t like the lighter shade of Blue, the one that was submissive to the alpha male. All the ‘you are mine’ and ‘who do you belong to’ just wasn’t that appealing to me. Blue was a woman that had be through enough why did she have to be broken down to being someone’s property? And being property to a man that she desired? Is this the behavior of the motorcycle clicke, well perhaps so. Why couldn’t Blue and Shadow be a power couple where Shadow is the man without all that extra “I am alpha” male?

Calla is the big sister no one wants to have. I mean really how disruptive and disrespectful can one sister be? These two are totally opposites. Blue is loving and motherly and Calla is all about herself and making everyone else’s life hell. But without Calla this story wouldn’t have all the juice and drama because it seems Calla laid the bricks to put some of the drama in motion. Mr. Perfect Boyfriend Jamie also did his share to add to the drama. So hands down this author knows how to create the unlikable character and bring a few servings of drama to make a novel that is sure to satisfy it’s readers. Who can turn down a sister revealing a few family secrets and a man with a vendetta? Let’s not forget the sizzling attractions between Blue and Shadow. Though I felt their relationship lacked development, and that they just jumped right into the physical, their physical action is sure to give readers a steamy pleasing rating on the sensual scale.

For a reader who may not prefer to read profanity, this would not be a book that I would recommend. There is also an over usage of the word “God” during character conversation.

This book series has potential and I would like to see how the family of bikers react to the ending devastating consequences so I would give this author another try. Though it’s not high on my ‘you must read’ list I would still recommend this to those that enjoy a hot sensual read with plenty of drama.

”Playing the Piper” by May Williams (Contemporary-sensual)

Penny is a very entertaining heroine. Her inner thoughts and the things she writes in her diary never failed to bring a smile to my face. I love how good she is with her students. However, Penny is very insecure. She frequently jumps to conclusions about James and his motivations concerning her and the park she loves. I could understand her misgivings the first time around, but they seemed to straighten things out fairly quickly. Unfortunately at the very next sign of trouble, Penny is ready to believe the worst again. The situation Penny and James find themselves in is very difficult, but without trust they aren’t going to make it very far. Will Penny finally give James a chance or will she let her insecurities cloud her judgment?

Some of the secondary characters in this short story are very nasty at the beginning but undergo some dramatic changes by the end. I understood the reason for one character’s change, but some of the others changed very quickly and without much explanation. Consequently, I found those parts unrealistic.

I also think that Penny and James’ relationship progresses too quickly, especially given Penny’s inability to trust James. However, the ending was still sweet and the situation with the park is solved in an interesting and fun way.

“Just Right” by Arlene Hittle (Contemporary-sensual)

I truly felt sorry for Callie. She has fame, good looks, and money. From the outside, her life might look perfect. However, I don’t envy the price Callie has paid for fame. As I watched Callie struggle to manage her public persona versus her personal life, it was easy to see why she needed a vacation out of the spotlight.

Ty and his brothers are certainly an interesting group. They teased each other unmercifully, but they also cared for and looked out for each other. Callie was nothing like Ty expected her to be, and their first encounter with each other was anything but smooth. I could certainly sense some underlying chemistry. However, I found it very hard to get a sense of what kind of couple Callie and Ty will be. He is very jealous and possessive right from the start even though they don’t know each other very well. Most of their encounters are antagonistic despite their physical attraction. In spite of these issues, Ty is a good man who just wants to protect the woman he loves from the ugly side of the media.

I must say that I found the “happy for now” ending to be very realistic and a good solution for Callie and Ty. Callie’s schedule is very demanding and while being famous has definite drawbacks, she isn’t ready to leave the spotlight just yet. I’m not sure what the future will hold for this new couple, but I think they are on the right track.

“Red” by Maddie James (Paranormal-spicy)

“Red” was by far the most unusual story in this collection. There is a lot about Garnet’s world that I don’t understand. Even Garnet doesn’t seem to know much about it. I definitely think the magic and the history of Garnet’s family needed to be expanded in greater detail. While a bit of mystery is intriguing, Garnet was put in a position of making major, life changing decisions mere moments after learning that her family is much more than it seems. I understand that her family thought they were protecting Garnet by allowing her some time to live a normal life, but I think it is unfair to spring everything on her right before she’s called to make a monumental decision.

Garnet’s relationship with Max ignites from the moment they meet and the chemistry between them burns brighter with each turn of the page. Sex between them is nothing short of scorching. However, I do wish they had had more time to get to know each other. Unfortunately time is something neither of them seem to have. Does Garnet make the right choice, or will the night end in disappointment?

“Death Sat Beside Her” by Jennifer Anderson (Suspense-sensual)

Elysse is a sweet girl, but she is stuck conforming to her mother’s idea of what a young lady should be. Her mom strikes me as very old fashioned and controlling. I know that her mother loves her, but it was clear to me that Elysse was struggling to gain her mother’s approval and was losing her individuality in the process.

Everything changes when Liam walks into her life. The attraction between them is clear from the start. Unfortunately, Elysse has a boyfriend. As I read, I wasn’t sure how the love triangle was going to play out. I can’t give any details without ruining the story, but I will say that I found it very easy to cheer for Liam.

I enjoyed watching Elysse begin to distance herself from the carefully crafted image she’s maintained for so long. Elysse says she’s making the changes because she wants too, but I couldn’t help but wonder if Elysse was simply trying to remake herself into the kind of girl she thought Liam would like.

It was very easy for me to figure out who the murderer was. The suspense of this story came from not knowing who the next victim would be and wondering when Liam and Elysse would put all the pieces of the puzzle together. The conclusion is very satisfying, and I have no doubt that Liam and Elysse are well on their way to a happy ending.

“Sins of the Father” by Janet Eaves (Contemporary-spicy)

Aurora has led a very sheltered life thanks to her overprotective aunts. I must admit that I’m not entirely sure why Aurora’s family went to such great lengths to insulate her from the world. There is some violence in Aurora’s past, but she was too young at the time to remember anything and drastic steps were taken to conceal Aurora’s identity. Aurora certainly needed some degree of protection, but the situation with the aunts just didn’t sit right with me.

Consequently, it is very easy to understand Aurora’s powerful urge to break away. I do think she made some very poor decisions in the process. She is very trusting of Philip, a man she knows nothing about, and she puts herself in an extremely vulnerable position. Fortunately, Philip is a very nice guy, and I enjoyed watching Aurora and Philip relax in each other’s company.

As the story progressed, and the truth of Aurora’s past is revealed, Ms. Eaves did a good job of building the suspense. When Aurora finally learns about her parents and who Philip is, I couldn’t wait to find out what their next step would be. Unfortunately, the story ended at this point. I must admit to being disappointed as I had hoped for a more satisfying conclusion.

“Dixie White and the Seven Dates” by Cat Shaffer (Contemporary-Sweet)

Dorothea’s story is easily my favorite from this anthology. She had my sympathy from page one when she learns some ugly things about her boyfriend. Rather than wallow in self pity, Dorothea decides to take control of her life for the first time. As I read, I had the pleasure of watching Dorothea blossom into a vibrant, caring young woman I’d be proud to call a friend. It took courage for Dorothea to walk away from everything she’s ever known. Fortunately, Dorothea discovers a wonderful small town in Kentucky that nurtures her new found desire to grown and change.

Ms. Shaffer did an excellent job creating the charming small town of Cardington, Kentucky, and most of the people who lived there were just as lovely, especially Lou and Len. Without their support and encouragement, Dorothea’s quest for independence would have been much more difficult.

The blind dates Dorothea goes on are entertaining. However, the men she met seemed more like caricatures rather than real people. Some of the dates were better than others, but I wasn’t surprised that Dorothea didn’t really click with any of them.

Rick is definitely a great guy. He and Dorothea are very comfortable around each other, and they have the beginnings of great chemistry. Their slow dance is particularly memorable. I have no doubt that they will grow into a wonderful couple.

I enjoyed reading And They Lived Happily Ever After. Each story is different with a unique take on various classic fairy tales. I recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance.

5 Lessons Learned from My Novel’s Villain

In Center of Gravity, Mitchell Carson is believed by the Mobile, Ala. community to be a charming husband, an intelligent leader, and caring father. Early on into the story, Mitchell wrongly believes his wife to be romantically interested in her childhood friend, the county’s sheriff. After attempting to piece together an affair from a few innocent interactions, Mitchell spirals into a jealous rage and refuses to believe anything that his wife tells him.

During the writing of Center of Gravity, I researched narcisstic personality disorder and sociopathy with a friend of mine who is a licensed professional counselor, read books about these clinical diagnoses, and talked to people who have been married (and divorced from) spouses with jealousy and control issues. Here are some common beliefs that most of these “antagonists” share:

1. I am a good person.

Mitchell Carson truly believes himself to be a good person. Unlike many people, he is lacking a true sense of empathy for others’ plights. While he is able to project a very calm, controlled, and charming exterior (for most of the novel), inside, he observes the world in a very clinical and calculating way.

2. I do everything for the right reasons.

As Mitchell believes himself to be a good person, it makes sense that he also believes that all of his actions ring right and true. Though it doesn’t make sense to Ava, or ring true to their marriage vows, Mitchell is convinced that Ava has betrayed him. Because of this, he believes it is his right to keep the children from his wife and file for divorce and custody.

3. I’m an excellent decision-maker.

Mitchell is a very intelligent person and a smart businessman. He’s risen up in the education system and now holds a prestigious job at a Southern university. He is used to making all of the decisions at work and this bleeds over into his home life, down to the extravagant stairway being built in his home and the high-end groceries he expects Ava to purchase. When Dr. Lucy Olsen, his attorney, or Ava have a differing opinion on a subject, Mitchell flat-out refuses to entertain the idea.

4. Betrayal means war.

As is typical for people with narcissistic personality disorder, after being “wronged” by people, including family or friends, Mitchell cuts that person out of his life. Mitchell began this practice with his own mother, who became an alcoholic, his father, who was away in the Army most of his childhood. He continues shutting people out of his life when he decides Ava is having an affair. Though he doesn’t quite take it to this extreme with his 8 year old, Jack, he gets violently angry when his son doesn’t immediately take his side during his parents’ divorce.

5. I’ll never give up on a goal.

As Ava soon discovers, Mitchell proves a dangerous foe during their divorce and custody battle. Whether it is alienating Ava from her former friends or manipulating community opinions, or influencing his employees at work that he is the victim in the breakup, Mitchell is an almost unstoppable force. When Ava discovers that Mitchell will stop at virtually nothing to destroy her life, she has to shed her naïve personality and shrug off any remaining illusions about the man she married.

I’m so glad that Long & Short Reviews suggested this topic as possible blog post about Center of Gravity. This was an interesting exercise for me, as I would typically come up with a list like this for my protagonist(s), but I have never put together “lessons learned” from one of my villains. Though I already had nailed down his clinical diagnosis, coming up with a list of five personality identifiers really allowed me to examine Mitchell Carson more deeply—and helped me to better understand his actions.

Jason’s resort is about to celebrate its first anniversary and party planner Heather has been hired to create the perfect celebration. Their reunion comes as a big surprise to both of them.

Old and familiar attraction, battles with new and conflicting emotions as Jason and Heather work together to organize the ultimate BDSM event. Overcoming the issues between them isn’t the only obstacle Jason and Heather face. In the background lurks a threat both to Heather’s independence and Jason’s livelihood.

Jason and Heather had met years earlier, but been certain they weren’t compatible so had never acted upon the mutual attraction. Heather has taken on a job for Jason in her profession of party planner. After well over a year she’s ready, finally, to come out of her self-imposed exile for grieving her dead husband and dip a toe back into the world of BDSM. Jason feels like he’s lost a part of himself, while he still strongly felt himself to be a sexual Dominant, much of the urge to “play” has left him. Until he lays eyes on Heather once again.

This is a strongly written, well plotted erotic story. I enjoyed the author’s voice, and felt instant compassion for Jason and Heather. I was pleased Heather hadn’t put her dead husband completely out of her head, especially at the start of the story we see a lot of him through her thoughts – how she and Darren would have loved to play a huge party at Jason’s resort, the Blowhole, back when Darren was alive, or how difficult she found even the thought of submitting to someone other than Darren, the only man she’d been intimate that way with. It showed me that Heather had come through the grieving process, but made her feel a lot more empathetic to my mind. Yes, she’d loved Darren and lost him and she’d gone through the dark stages of grief, but she was ready to try and stumble her way back into the light and a full life again. This was an excellent set-up for me and I appreciated the author balancing the past and readiness for the future just right.

While I felt some of the conflict in the plot was a little clichéd, I really enjoyed how much of the tension and problems between Jason and Heather were poor communication through the bondage aspect of their relationship. Trust and a strong byplay and verbalization of everything is often critical to the highly emotional, and potentially risky, scenes. So while outwardly it seems simple to keep an open line of communication between partners, Little Rainbows reminded me just how elementally important such a thing is. And being able to back-track, to be honest about why they hadn’t admitted their insecurities and come back stronger really made me pleased as a reader and made me feel the connection between Heather and Jason grow stronger in a realistic, albeit simple manner. I really enjoyed that.

This is a well written full length novel. There is a huge amount of emotion in it, and a strong relationship being built from the start. The sex is tasteful and hot – and lavishly written. I enjoyed the plot, but found particular pleasure in Heather and Jason working through – together mostly – their issues and problems. This isn’t a traditional romance, but I feel strongly it will connect with many erotic romance readers.

I like this world, slightly dark but always optimistic that good will triumph over evil in the end. The characters are well defined and well matched, and I like that there is a gathering of all the previous characters to put some closure to this series. Now that Ms. Walters has given each of the immortal warriors their own HEA, I look forward to settling back and enjoying these in order again and again. It is fun to see where she interwove bits from each of the prior books into this, like Toni reading the graphic book by the earlier character.

Toni Richards is strong, intelligent and extremely independent. She takes care of herself, and doesn’t need a man to help her. But when three men try to kidnap her, and she discovers things are more complicated than they appear, she is smart enough to realize she is in over her head. She feels an instant attraction to Stavros, and is interested in seeing where it could go. I liked that Toni was willing to explore the feelings between them, and I liked her strength of character at not backing off as Stavros told her about Hades and the whole curse and such. I liked that she saw the unbelievable, and still listened before making any irreversible decisions.

Stavros, the Jaguar, is quiet, intense, and determined not to endanger any woman by becoming involved. He is determined to live alone, never knowing love, rather than doom a woman to the tortures of Hades. When he comes across Toni in the isolation of the swamp, he tries to stay away, but he just can’t stay away. When she is endangered, he knows it is up to him to keep her safe. I liked watching as Stavros found that one perfect woman for him, and enjoyed watching as these two danced around each other trying not to become involved. Watching Stavros fall for Toni was fun, and seeing his patience as she made her decision was enchanting.

There are appearances from the other Warriors and their mates, and an intriguing scene or two between Hades and Persephone, scenes that hint at the relationship these two once shared and what it must have been like. There are some scorching hot love scenes, and some tender and passionate moments as Stavros and Toni journey to their happy ever after. I would like to have seen on last visit from The Lady of the Beasts, but that didn’t lessen my enjoyment of this book or of the series. I would recommend this one to those who like shifters and independent women, and I would suggest that these seven books be read in order for the best enjoyment.

The lane that ran alongside the garden of Hestacombe House was narrow and banked high on both sides with poppies, cow parsley, and blackberry bushes. Turning left, Tyler Klein worked out, would lead you back up to the village of Hestacombe. Turning right took you down to the lake. As he took the right turn, Tyler heard the sound of running feet and giggling.

Rounding the first bend in the lane, he saw two small children twenty or thirty yards away, clambering over a stile. Dressed in shorts, T–shirts, and baseball caps, the one in front was carrying a rolled–up yellow-and-white-striped striped towel, while his companion clutched a haphazard bundle of clothes. Glancing up the lane and spotting Tyler, they giggled again and leaped down from the stile into the cornfield beyond. By the time he reached the stile they’d scurried out of sight, no doubt having taken some shortcut back to the village following their dip in the lake.

The lane opened out into a sandy clearing that sloped down to meet a small artificial beach. Freddie Masterson had had this constructed several years ago, chiefly for the benefit of visitors to his lakeside vacation cottages, but also—-as Tyler had just witnessed—-to be enjoyed by the inhabitants of Hestacombe. Shielding his eyes from the glare of the afternoon sun as it bounced off the lake, Tyler saw a girl in a bright turquoise bikini floating lazily on her back in the water. There was a faint unearthly wailing sound coming from somewhere he couldn’t quite place. Then the noise—-was it singing?—-stopped. Moments later, as Tyler watched, the girl turned onto her front and began to swim slowly back to shore.

It could almost be that scene from Dr. No, where Sean Connery observes Ursula Andress emerging goddess–like from a tropical sea. Except he wasn’t hiding in the bushes and he had all his own hair. And this girl didn’t have a large knife strapped to her thigh.

She wasn’t blond either. Her long dark hair was a riot of snaky curls plastered to her shoulders, her body curvy and deeply tanned. Impressed—-because an encounter like this was the last thing he’d been expecting—-Tyler nodded in a friendly fashion as she paused to wring water from her dripping hair and said, “Good swim?”

The girl surveyed him steadily, then looked around the tiny beach. Finally she said, “Where’s my stuff?”

Stuff. Taken aback, Tyler gazed around too, even though he had no idea what he was meant to be looking for. For one bizarre moment he wondered if she had arranged to meet a drug dealer here. That was what people said, wasn’t it, when they met up with their dealer?

“What stuff?”

“The usual stuff you leave out of the water when you go for a swim. Clothes. Towel. Diamond earrings.”

Tyler said, “Where did you put them?”

“Right there where you’re standing. Right there,” the girl repeated, pointing at his polished black shoes. She narrowed her eyes at him.

“Is this a joke?”

“I guess it is. But I’m not the one playing it.” Half turning, Tyler indicated the narrow lane behind him. “I passed a couple kids back there, carrying off stuff.”

She had her hands on her hips now, and was surveying him with growing disbelief. “And it didn’t occur to you to stop them?”

“I thought it was their stuff.” This was ridiculous, he’d never said the word stuff so many times before in his life. “I guess I just thought they’d been swimming down here in this lake.”

“You thought the size ten pink halter–necked dress and size seven silver sandals belonged to them.” The sarcasm—-that particularly British form of sarcasm—-was evident in her voice.

“The sandals were wrapped up in something pink. I didn’t actually get a close look at the labels. I was thirty yards away.”

“But you thought they’d been swimming.” Gazing at him intently, the girl said, “Tell me something. Were they…wet?”

Shit. The kids hadn’t been wet. He’d make a lousy private eye. Unwilling to concede defeat, Tyler said, “They could have come down for a paddle. Look, did you really leave diamond earrings with your clothes?”

“Do I look completely stupid? No, of course I didn’t. Diamonds don’t dissolve in water.” Impatiently she shook back her hair to show him the studs glittering in her earlobes. “Right, what did these kids look like?”

“Like kids. I don’t know.” Tyler shrugged. “They were wearing T–shirts, I guess. And, um, shorts…”

The girl raised her eyebrows. “That’s incredible. Your powers of observation are dazzling. OK, was it a boy and a girl?”

“Maybe.” He’d assumed they were boys, but one had had longer hair than the other. “Like I said, I only saw them from a distance. They were climbing over a stile.”

“Dark hair? Thin and wiry?” the girl persisted. “Did they look like a couple of gypsies?”

“Yes.” Tyler was instantly on the alert; when Freddie Masterson had been singing the praises of Hestacombe he hadn’t mentioned any gypsies. “Are they a problem around here?”

“Damn right they’re a problem around here. They’re my children.” Intercepting the look of horror on his face, the girl broke into a mischievous smile. “Relax, they’re not really gypsies. You haven’t just mortally offended me.”

“Well,” said Tyler, “I’m glad about that.”

“I didn’t see a thing, little sods. They must have crawled through the bushes and sneaked off with my stuff when I wasn’t looking. That’s what happens when you have kids who are hell–bent on joining the SAS. But this isn’t funny.” No longer amused, the girl said impatiently, “I can’t believe they’d do something so stupid. They don’t think, do they? Because now I’m stuck here with no clothes—-”

“You’re welcome to borrow my jacket.”

“And no shoes.”

“I’m not lending you my shoes,” Tyler drawled. “You’d look ridiculous. Plus, that’d leave me with nothing to put on my feet.”

“Wuss.” Thinking hard, the girl said, “OK, look, can you do me a favor? Go back up to the village, past the pub, and my house is three doors down on the right. Piper’s Cottage. The doorbell’s broken so you’ll have to bang on the door. Tell Ruby and Nat to give you my clothes. Then you can bring them back down to me. How does that sound?”

Water from her hair was dripping into her clear hazel eyes, glistening on her tanned skin. She had excellent white teeth and a persuasive manner. Tyler frowned.

“What if the kids aren’t there?”

“Right, now I know this isn’t ideal, but you have an honest face so I’m going to have to trust you. If they aren’t there, you’ll just have to take the front door key out from under the tub of geraniums by the porch and let yourself into the house. My bedroom’s on the left at the top of the stairs. Just grab something from the wardrobe.” Her mouth twitching, the girl said, “And no snooping in my panty drawer while you’re there. Just pick out a dress and some shoes then let yourself out of the house. You can be back here in ten minutes.”

“I can’t do this.” Tyler shook his head. “You don’t even know me. I’m not going to let myself into a strange house. And if your kids are there…well, that’s even worse.”

“Hi.” Seizing his hand, she enthusiastically shook it. “I’m Lottie Carlyle. There, now I’ve introduced myself. And my house really isn’t that strange. A bit untidy perhaps, but that’s allowed. And you are?”

Jayne Rylon turned on the waterworks with this one. The characters, angst, and drama were perfectly blended to create an absolutely captivating story that brought me to tears more than once. Several issues combined to make this book more emotional. Roman was seriously damaged by an abusive past that left him coping by using drugs, alcohol, and sexual exploits. Now all that is failing, and it’s partly because he doesn’t want to share Carver. Thrown into the volatile mix is the fact that he is a very dominant man who needs to take control of his lover. Considering his past it causes some tension and a fair amount of guilt for him. It was in Swinger Style that the situation escalated to the point where Roman attempted suicide. Barracuda’s Heart begins with the aftermath of his breakdown and his road to recovery. Then there was the fact that Carver had his own issues and needs that may spell disaster for their relationship.

The thing that worked most for me in this story was the connection between Roman and Carver. The way this author wrote these characters, and especially the sex scenes, the chemistry was a palpable thing that I could almost feel. The sex scenes were so scorching hot that I was left blushing.

I’ve come to expect a certain kind of brilliance from this author and she really came through on this book. She created an entertaining and steamy story that touched on some intense subject material without having it overwhelm the romance part of the book. Now it must be said that the menage aspect is fairly light in this one. There are a few scenes, of course, but it’s simply not as predominant as it generally tends to be in this series. I have to say that it worked well for me in this one.

Just as I had expected, Barracuda’s Heart was a great read for me!

The humor, work ethic, compassion, and can-do problem solving attitude keep Kiss Me Hello throbbing with activity and solid with quiet determination while love wiggles its way amongst it all to weaves its magic spell.

However, there is an undercurrent of anxiety that keeps the reader just a little uneasy early on in the story and builds as an antagonist, that I really, really came to dislike, uses position and power to try to wreak havoc on lives.

How Grace Burrowes gets matters resolved is different, daring, and delightful. Kiss Me Hello is wonderful reading!

I love how although Dalton is a dominant, and Neil a submissive, neither are into seriously heavy scenes. There’s a tenderness, a sweetness to their coming together that really satisfied the romantic in me.

Intense and sexy, this is a brilliant M/M. Kinky, but not over the top, I think it will appeal to those who like a bit of bite in their erotica. I grew attached to both Neil and Dalton almost from the start, and relished their first sexual encounter. It was hot to read about them breaking through the friend barrier and deeply satisfying. Another excellent short story by Mr. Michael – and highly recommended.

Heart Shifter was a refreshing read that gave just enough. I enjoyed the mystery behind the family secret and also the attraction between Sarah and Mitch. Sarah loved her husband and thought highly of him but his cousin Mitch Mingah has a dark sex appeal that Sarah can’t help feel the pull. From the description the author has given Mitch, he sounds irresistible. The characters were likable and the plot was original. The author has a talent for writing. I even enjoyed the domesticity writing details of the day to day breakfast, grocery shopping and family gatherings.

There were a few typos but nothing that would take away from the reading flow. The ending was slightly predictable but still manages to not leave you disappointed.

This is a book of wolf shifters. However as I stated earlier the author gave just enough of a balance between romance and a soft version of the wolf behavior. I enjoyed the family heritage and family togetherness. If you enjoy a novel of wolf shifters but you don’t want all the violence and killing this will be an enjoyable read for you.
