Hallie’s only lover is the spirit of her very sexy but very dead husband Jake. When a gorgeous blonde cowboy called Aiden arrives as one of ten guests for the singles week at her ranch, she fights her attraction to him. But Jake encourages it, desperate to indulge a fantasy he never fulfilled while alive.

As the week unfolds, Hallie tries to ignore Aiden’s advances until he comes to her room, determined to satisfy his lust for her. The unseen Jake ups the stakes by arousing his wife in a way only she is aware of. Unsure what to do, Hallie keeps silent, allowing Aiden to think they are alone.

The sex is breathtaking for all but she feels guilty and confesses to Aiden, who takes the news badly, leaving Hallie to rethink her life. She is falling in love with Aiden and finds that Jake isn’t quite as happy about sharing her anymore.

Then Aiden returns, pretending he can cope with the idea of sharing Hallie and the two men reach an uneasy truce in order to make love to her again — but she soon realizes that Aiden has every intention of claiming her, right under Jake’s nose.

A widow haunted by the ghost of her deceased husband attempts to move on in this erotic and interesting story.

Hallie is a widow running a dude ranch, and is still haunted by her husband Jake…literally. Jake refuses to move on and the two share a strong connection and intimate relationship despite his incorporeal state. But when a new guest named Aiden attracts Hallie’s attention and pursues her, they begin to learn that three’s a crowd. Unsure of what to do, Hallie pushes Aiden away despite her attraction and Jake’s insistence that she pursue a sexual relationship with Aiden. As Hallie gives into the passion she feels for Aiden, she soon realizes must learn to let go and move on or risk losing a new chance at love.

This was definitely an interesting story with intriguing characters. Hallie appears to be an independent and strong woman who can’t seem to let go of her love for Jake even when faced with a new love. Jake, meanwhile, seems a bit reluctant to give Hallie up and is even a bit jealous even though he encourages her to pursue Aiden for sex. Jake still manages to be intimate with Hallie in scenes that put me off a little…especially when he joins Hallie and Aiden in sex. While interesting and definitely unique, I found the whole sex with a ghost part a little odd and unsettling.

As for Aiden I wish we would have gotten his point of view in the story, but we don’t as the story is told from Hallie’s POV. It would have been nice to know exactly what he thought about Jake and Hallie’s relationship once it is revealed. It’s got to be a bit unsettling to know that your lover’s deceased husband is watching and even joining in as you make love.

But despite this, I still found myself enjoying this unique and different story. The characters were fascinating as was the whole concept of the plot and it was interesting watching Hallie come to terms with her feelings as the story progresses.

If you are looking for something a bit different and quick to read, you might like this one.

Rock musician, Daniel Sanborn, has given his lover, Ramón Alvarez, too many opportunities to practice forgiveness. Their relationship is barely healing from the crisis that was Daniel’s wake-up call when someone from his past walks in to audition for the band.

Melanie is the widow of Josh Taylor, Daniel’s first and greatest love, and the woman who, a dozen years ago, unknowingly stole his lover. When Melanie’s talent proves to be exactly what the band needs to take them in the direction they hope to go, Daniel votes to hire her. Meanwhile, he avoids Ramón’s jealous streak by hiding the depth of his resurrecting emotions.

But since Daniel last saw Melanie at Josh’s funeral, she has come unhinged. She never smiles, and she talks to her dead husband when she thinks no one is listening. Daniel shrugs it off to eccentricity and grief—

Until Josh’s ghost makes an appearance!

Apparently, Daniel and Josh have unfinished business, and not the kind Daniel feels comfortable sharing with Ramón. As far as Daniel is concerned, that past is as dead as Josh himself. But Josh’s ghost, however, has other ideas. Daniel’s twelve-year-old secrets could be the last straw for Ramón, but keeping them buried might prove impossible…

If your ex-lover came back as a ghost, what would you have to say to him? Would you forgive him, yell at him, have sex? This is the unique situation in which Daniel finds himself when confronted by the ghost of his ex-lover Josh who he left more than a decade ago. Add in the ghosts’ widow and Daniel’s new sexy partner and this rock band’s tour just got more interesting.

As the story is told almost exclusively from Daniel’s point of view, he is the best characterized of the group. Daniel is a reformed playboy, having given up his various vices to help his relationship with his lover Ramon. Daniel thought he was over his ex-lover Josh’s death two years ago when they hadn’t seen each other since Daniel walked out twelve years ago, so he’s thrown off balance when Josh’s widow auditions for the band. With the proliferation of online marketers, it has become increasingly popular in the management of sports injuries. shop viagra When you get an erection, the increased blood flow facilitates erection when the individual gets stimulated. http://deeprootsmag.org/2014/01/20/death-by-black-hole-in-a-small-galaxy/ order levitra Boil 4-5 leaves of sweet deeprootsmag.org purchase levitra online potato and 1 tablespoon ash gourd in water. order cheap levitra Chow, who was Parker’s own Instructor, in 1949. Daniel struggles with unresolved feelings as Melinda is the woman Josh married, causing Daniel to leave over Josh’s objections. Daniel’s happy and loving relationship with Ramon is tempered by latent confusion and anger over seeing Melinda again.

Ramon and Melinda are both solid supporting characters in the story, though it would have been nice if more attention and focus was paid to both of them. Neither are stereotypes and both add depth to their connection with Daniel and Josh, yet at the same time the focus of the story is really Daniel and Josh resolving the problems from their past relationship so everyone can move on in their lives or death, as the case may be. Ramon is loving and supportive of Daniel while dealing with his own problems of jealousy and mistrust from Daniel’s past painful actions. Ramon is the opposite of Josh, he is able to show his love and devotion to Daniel in a loving and caring way whereas Josh sought to dominate and control Daniel.

Josh’s treatment of Daniel in both their previous relationship and as a ghost is painful at times to read. Josh takes advantage of Daniel in his ghost form to dominate the other man and force him to react sexually, against his will. This aspect of the story felt forced and unnecessary as Josh and Daniel’s physical connection was never the problem. Furthermore although Daniel still occasionally craves rough treatment, he revels in the loving care Ramon is able to show. Josh is clearly a tortured ghost, haunted by his past and present actions and confused as to how to make amends and move on from languishing around the living.

The pacing of the story is rather quick so the plot and characters move along swiftly; making this an engaging read unless you are bothered by non-consensual sex. This is a prominent aspect of the book, and one I felt was unnecessary and did not strengthen or further the plot. However, if you are one who can read forced sex without a problem and enjoy paranormal romances, then this might appeal to you. I gave this story 3 cherries based on the interesting and well-written characters, but suggest readers heed the warning.

Elements: scenes of violence in Beast Magic

An interesting anthology, Shifting Desires features three passion-filled stories about shapeshifters finding romance and love.

In Skylar Sinclair’s “Purr for Me,” a young female panther shapeshifter heads to a Halloween party and meets her mate in the form of a alpha male lion shapeshifter. This short story had an interesting twist that I definitely didn’t see coming and that made me really think about what I had read. Flicking his nipples from tongue and squeezing is a nice idea buy viagra sale to heighten the sensation. When the distributor can present more comfortably and easily, they viagra lowest prices are apt to do so more often. Men who work day and night and purchase generic viagra mentally keep thinking regarding their business are having an issue, talk to your partner before problems escalate. After bariatric surgery, people have improved physical appearance and best online viagra check out content functioning, have improved self’ confidence and respect and improved psychosocial, sexual and reproductive health. Full of passion and heat, my one complaint would be that it was too short and I would have love to have read more beyond the ending pages.

“Beast Magic” by Sapphire Phelan also features some intriguing characters and uses vivid descriptions to give us the story of a young woman with a fear of lions who soon learns that her fated mate is in fact a lion shapeshifter. But a rival is determined to keep the couple apart in this passionate, and sometimes violent, story. I have to be honest and say that I didn’t quite care for the heroine of the story as she seems a bit naïve and too quick to buy the hero’s story, but I really liked the hero, Ramses. I found it interesting that Ramses describes himself as a lion who becomes a man rather than a man who becomes a lion. He must spend most of his time in lion form as that is his true nature. I really liked this concept and found it refreshing as it isn’t something I have seen in many shapeshifter stories as most usually are men who occasionally become animals.

The final story in the anthology, “Cat’s Claw” by Jude Mason is a fascinating look at a young woman who travels into the woods to inform a good friend’s reclusive son of his passing and finds more than she bargained for as both share a secret that brings them together. In addition to the heroine discovering love and her true nature, this story also deals with poachers who are encroaching on the hero’s property. At times the story turned a bit violent as it blurred the lines between the bestial and human nature of the characters as they gave into their animal instincts. Overall, the story was quite enjoyable and intriguing.

As a whole, Shifting Desires is an intriguing anthology featuring three different stories each featuring loving and passionate shapeshifters. All three authors created a fascinating world and characters using vivid descriptions to give a brief glimpse at their individual worlds. However, at times these glimpses are a bit too brief and I wish they had all been a bit longer. However, the entire anthology is enjoyable and I enjoyed the authors’ takes on the concept of shapeshifting.

Why snuggle up beside the fire, when you can warm up to this fantastic trio of bedtime stories? Join three sensual heroines in a quest to live erotically ever after!

Cyn-Ful Night of Pleasure: Down on her luck Cynderella has one chance to live out her wildest fantasies. With a bit of help from a wild fairy godmother, Cyn’s sinful fun just might be the beginning of something “charming”, and kinky!

Red Hot: Who’s afraid of a big, bad, wolfish hunk? Vivacious Red learns the consequences of wandering alone in the forest, and lives to enjoy it.

What’s in a Name? A mysterious enchantress rescues Tristan from an evil queen. Their love is threatened by a curse that can only be broken if Tristan can guess his beloved’s true name.

Marty Rayne’s erotic retelling of popular fairy tales is definitely hotter than fairy tales from childhood.

In “Cyn-ful Night of Pleasure,” the story of Cinderella gets an erotic twist when Cyn finds herself forced into servitude in the royal palace, but with the help of her fairy godmother she sets out to have a night to remember with the prince. As the prince searches for a bride, he is entranced by the mysterious beauty that shared his bed for one passionate encounter and sets out to find her. This was a highly passionate take on one of my favorite stories. One thing I didn’t care for though was the high volume of backstory at the beginning. It got the story off to a bit of a slow start, but things began to pick up once Cyn meets her fairy godmother leading to one very satisfying read. An interesting mixture of modern references mixed in with a historical feel make it hard to know when this fantasy story was set, but overall it was quite enjoyable and different.

The next entry in the anthology is a very short erotic retelling of Red Riding Hood, “Red Hot,” in which Red meets a sexy and mysterious man as she traipses through the woods on the way to her cabin. Passions explode as the mystery man follows Red to her destination. This was a hot and fun read, but it was almost too short. At times it felt more like an excerpt from a story rather than a complete story and I wish there would have been more.

“What’s in a Name,” the last story of the anthology, provides readers with a unique and erotic retelling of the classic Rumplestiltskin as a young man finds himself imprisoned and forced to turn sour wine into water. A mysterious young woman agrees to help…for a price. To secure his freedom and win the hand of the woman he grows to love, he must guess her name. This was definitely an interesting take on the classic story with a very unique and fun twist. I really enjoyed reading this one as it had interesting characters and a fun plot and I wished it had been longer. It had the potential to be an interesting full-length story.

Bedtime Fantasies, as a whole, was a very fun and passionate anthology providing adult versions of some classic fairy tales. While each story may have been a bit short with little time for true character development, they were nonetheless entertaining and fun reads. This one is definitely a hot escape read if you are looking for a quick read that is different.

When a story is this short, there is just enough to entice and this story gives that. With fun and witty dialogue and flirty, humorous antics these men give a romantic and entertaining glimpse at the beginning of their relationship. Neither character had much depth but that didn’t detract from the warmth of the story. If you’re looking for a short, holiday offering with a sexy Santa and his hot elf, this story definitely delivers.

Thrown into a dangerous situation, the three of them turn to each other for survival, solace…and more. As Brendan overcomes his confusion over his impulses, the trio begin a sexual exploration that explodes into passion and unbridled lust.

Warning: Dangerously hot m/m/m ménage sex will melt the layers of ice and snow keeping three sexy scientist prisoners on the edge of the world. Peek through your fingers at scorching sex between three men—the possibilities are endless!

What happens when three sexy scientists are caught in a snowstorm at the edge of the world? Well the chemistry and sparks created may be enough to clear their path to rescue in this sweetly romantic story about three men who give in to their desire while stranded, yet can they make this budding relationship last when they’re back in the real world?

Brandon, Tuck, and Jamie are three gorgeous men that can’t help but give into their hidden and not so hidden desires when a brush with death reminds them that life can be fleeting and never to live with regrets. Jamie is the youngest of the three, yet has the most experience in gay sex as he’s the only one of the group that is openly gay. Jamie is brash, outgoing, humorous, and the driving force between the men ensuring they act out their desires. He can be immature and needy, thus consistently positioning himself as the middle person in the threesome. Yet without his actions and stubborn determination, the relationship wouldn’t be what it is.

Brandon is the formerly straight guy in this gay love triangle and therefore his journey to understanding and accepting his new and confusing desires and emotions is the most complicated of the three. Brandon is a complicated character with the hardest journey but he has considerable support from Tuck and Jamie.

Tuck is the most easy-going of the three and perhaps the most sensitive. He has been in love with Brandon well before their ill-fated scientific outing and his dreams are fulfilled when Brandon admits the same. Tuck struggles with the decisions his lovers make when he is unsure of the right choices, yet wants desperately for their threesome relationship to work.

Although the sex was plentiful and scorching hot, the emotional impact of the threesome fell short as the dynamics between the men were occasionally awkward and ill-fitting. Individual relationships between each of the three men formed easily and were explored but the actual threesome felt mostly sexual rather than emotional. Although all men claim to love each other fiercely and deeply, in my opinion is was not portrayed very well in context to all three men together.

Overall, if you can look past the unfortunate awkwardness of the men as they struggle with their jealousy and position in the relationship, no doubt you’ll enjoy the book. The sex as I said is bountiful and incredibly steamy. The men are likable with charming quirks and although the ménage fell flat for me, perhaps for another person they wouldn’t mind as much. The author certainly knows how to keep the men hopping and their love life spicy.

In this rather short erotic romance, Kail and Nerrin are a classic yaoi couple. Both men are sexy and attractive and together their relationship is sweet and charming. This will result in a much healthier erection, even when men suffer from conditions such as erectile dysfunction. cialis sildenafil One interesting side effect (that is far from dangerous) is that viagra will give some users a bluish-tinted perspective. Their story picks up after Kail is partially turned back into a human, retaining his ears and tail as a reminder of the pet he was. In his human form, Kail is hesitant and almost virginal; easily seduced into the sexual delights Nerrin has to show him.

Due to its length, the author can only afford a glimpse into the characters presented. Most of the story is taken up with by Kail’s initiation into sex with another man, leaving me wishing the story was either longer or less sex for more characterization and plot. Either way, those familiar with Kate Steele’s work are likely to enjoy her latest offering as it’s written in her very distinct voice. If you’re looking for a short sexual romp with classic yaoi characters and a sweetly loving relationship, this will deliver on that front.

Wealthy, arrogant Eric Courtland is an island unto himself…and content to stay that way until chance brings quarterback Nick Thompson into his life. Nick’s warm and easy nature pierce straight through Eric’s well-fortified defenses and coax him out of his shell.

It doesn’t take long for their friendship to deepen into love. Eric’s fear of commitment and Nick’s inability to come to terms with his own sexuality threaten to tear them apart.

By Chance is the third installment in Cat Grants bestselling Courtland Chronicles Series.

When an incredibly hot and almost naked man comes out of the bathroom dripping wet wearing only a towel, a smart man does not throw that sexy man out. Thankfully Eric agrees to make the best of the situation when Nick unexpectedly is thrust upon him as his new roommate. Neither Nick nor Eric are as they seem, both having unexpected depth as their past and present are not as easy as it may seem in this moving and well written story about love and having the courage to take risks.

Eric is prickly and standoffish as a result of his past and is anything but the spoiled rich kid he appears to be. Eric chooses to isolate himself not only from friends but also from lovers, preferring to have anonymous encounters in bathrooms or darkened halls to actual relationships. His parents’ relationship and his mother’s repeated suicide attempts have caused Eric to build an icy shell around himself that he uses to protect his fragile emotions. For all of Eric’s remoteness, he has a hidden warmth and large heart that is just waiting to be protected and cherished by a partner who truly understands him.

He initially falls for Eric very sweetly and innocently and their relationship moves rather quickly–but almost too quickly. When Eric retreats back into his prickly shell of fear and detached emotion, Nick is easily scared off and unfortunately makes poor decisions. The character of Ally was annoying for me with her first very strident personality and then way too easy-going manner. She felt two-dimensional and unbelievable.

While both men were well characterized, their eventual resolution also was problematic. Nick’s choices while they were apart were confusing and not explained, nor was Eric’s acceptance believable. Deciding to ignore the past as a way of resolving conflicts because you realize you still love someone is not exactly the best way to progress in a relationship. Furthermore, there was no real resolution to their problems. Nothing changed except Nick and Eric got back together with all the previous issues still remaining like the proverbial elephant in the room.

As this is the first prequel to a series of books (written out of order) about these two men and the woman with them, there is a nice back-story that is sure to please followers of the series. The author has a wonderful hand with prose and the ability to illicit true emotion with her writing. Although I had definite problems with the ending, which felt rushed, the majority of the book was truly satisfying and well done.

Justifier. It’s her alias: the stronger side of Sugar Lawson. Until she goes up against Tarragon and Anise Spice, Sugar thinks Justifier, a determined assassin punishing those who take advantage of the weak, is the only side to her personality. But in a battle of wills, Sugar discovers the Spice brothers bring out the woman inside.

Hired to protect an unscrupulous mobster, the Spice brothers are determined to keep their client alive. But they never figured they would be protecting him from the galaxy’s avenger. Or that they wouldn’t be able to keep their hands off the dark, compelling beauty.

There’s nothing sweet about the woman named Sugar, and the Spice brothers are as cold as ice, but when the three get together, everything changes.

Throughout the Spaceport series we’ve met courtesans, drug addicts, sex gurus, space trash, and bounty hunters. In this episode we meet high-level assassins… and telepathic dogs. Yes, there are telepathic dogs, and they are awesome. The assassins are interesting too, with their own ethics, network, and codes. Morrigan makes this aspect of the Spacport world interesting and sympathetic, which is quite a feat when all of your protagonists are killers for hire. However, Morrigan’s style is not, by any stretch of the imagination, polished. Her tendency towards antiquated euphemisms like, “swords,” “sheaths,” and “channels” is comically distracting. However, she is a born storyteller, and it becomes easy to ignore this flaw as the plot moves along.

Sugar, on the surface, is fairly common science fiction stock. She’s gentically engineered, which means, that while she’s completely human, she’s also really really good at everything she does. In her role as Justifier, one of the most feared assassins in the galaxy, she is unbashedly badass, and a lot of fun to cheer for. While most of the time she stays true to character, there were a couple of moments where I was sure Morrigan had forgotten who she was writing about. I mean, I really can’t see Sugar being stupid enough to allow herself to be tied up by her mark, regardless of how much she wants him. I suppose, in all fairness, this could be considered evidence that she is, afterall, human, but she’s also the best at what she does, and so I don’t buy it.

Morrigan unashamedly follows her title theme by naming this poor lads Anise and Tarragon. Don’t worry, you notice less and less as you read on. Anise is definitely my kind of guy: cautious, sensual, and funny. Tarragon I could take or leave, but that’s possibly because he just oozes alpha male. What’s nice about them both is that they are each complete characters. However shallowly they are explored, they still give the impression of depth. The pitfall of many triangle romances is that two of the lovers will sometimes make up a whole for the third. This goes a long way toward explaining why the third cannot or will not choose between them, but it doesn’t make for a very satisfying romance. Morrigan avoids this trap like a pro.

Instead, Sugar and the Spices collide headlong, and each encounter is unique, and reveals aspects of the characters. Sugar has, in fact, a complete mini-romance with both of the brothers. Anise’s is much sweeter, probably due to the relative innocence of his feelings for Sugar, but Tarragon’s is not without its charm. There is some trouble with emotional choreography, however. While Sugar and either of the Spice brothers have real chemistry, this starts to break down when they come together. I think this may be because triad love affairs usually move in all directions, but what we have here is two brothers in love with the same woman. I, like Sugar, am not into incest, but the lack of pull between the heroes breaks the tension. It would almost have been better if the Spices were a married couple. Hey, it’s Spaceport Adana, it could happen!

The epilogue of Sugar and Spice is also a little silly, wrapping up everything perhaps a little too neatly, and revealing information about the heroes that seems unnecessary, tacked-on, and incongruous to the setting. It’s always unfair when a decent novella is ruined by a haphazard epilogue, but you can always skip it. That aside, this is a solid bit of assassin vs. assassin erotica, with characters you cheer for and sex that is both hot and emotionally charged.
