Dan must either solve the crime or risk returning to the place he dreads the most–the prison that changed his life.

We’re immediately introduced to Daniel Radisson, recently released from nine years in Corcoran, a California state prison and as part of the condition of his parole, he has to attend an AA meetings every day for a month. He meets Trey, a sexy Harley riding man. Dan’s social skills are totally lacking and he beings to regret accepting an invitation from Trey to get coffee and a bite to eat.

His first problem: he’s staying with his younger sister in Oakland until he gets on his feet. She’s married to a hard ass cop who isn’t happy having his gay, ex-con brother in law in their home. He berates Dan into getting on with his life and getting a job. Then Trey is back and the sexual fireworks begin. If anything was disappointing in a literary sense it was the lack of conflict between Trey and Dan. They met, they fucked. The author missed a chance to add another layer to this story which would have made it richer. I was also a little annoyed at the end when, once Dan knew his suspicions were right he still didn’t call the police — it was a TSTL moment and I hate those in mysteries or suspense stories.

But all in all, a fun read, good for the beach or a lazy Sunday when you don’t want to think too hard and you want a dose of hot man-on-man sex and a lightweight mystery with a nice emotional ending. Very satisfying in that respect.

The care he shows with Lourdes and the child that they see injured proves this. Lourdes is a feisty woman who finds love and is more than willing to fight for it. Once she finds out the truth she will stand by her man’s side no matter what.

Kate Hill writes a wonderful story. She brings the reader into her world and you become lost in the wonderful imagery and dialogue. She creates wonderful characters that are full of depth and emotion. This book keeps you interested until the end. It is a very hot read full of sexual tension and many love scenes. I just loved the scene in the field what a great description of Alexi as he stretched out on the grass. Talk about delicious. If you enjoy brooding males and kick-butt heroines, take a chance on this story and enjoy.

She finds herself thrust into Slayer training and taking to the skills even to the point of exceeding her Slayer in ability. Another thing I noticed were many typos throughout which, although they stopped me momentarily, did not hinder my progress through this action packed, very hot story. I loved this book and in my opinion would have been perfection if only all the major threads had been tied up.

I will definitely read more from this author — especially if she writes a sequel.

Isabella Jordan has written a compelling pair of mysteries, with a growing sense of evil following her characters. Her characters are well defined and multi-faceted, and they are well developed. I would have liked a bit more world building, and more history into the “cult” that was in operation. I was a little unclear as to who all was involved, as there were a lot of faceless or nameless people who were supposed to be in the cult. The sex in these two is over the top hot, with several very descriptive orgies during the rituals performed “in secret” at the two universities. I enjoyed this book, but it is not for everyone, and I will be careful whom I recommend it to among my friends. However, if you don’t mind your mystery story with a “happy for now”, and a future of fighting the evil, I believe you will enjoy Dark Legion.

Two years ago Vincent and Julian shared a passionate affair, which ended abruptly when Julian left without a word. Now Julian is back and more than ready to pick up where they left off but Vincent is not sure he’s as easily willing to forgive and forget. He wants answers, but more than that, he wants to experience the intense passion that flared between them again.

This short story is the beginning of a planned series and clearly meant to be an introduction to the characters and setting with some hot sex and charged chemistry thrown in. There is very little plot and numerous hanging threads left dangling from Vincent’s business to an altercation at a club and even smaller details about Julian’s absence that are never resolved or dealt with. Instead the short story focuses on Julian and Vincent and their sexual chemistry, which is incredibly hot and erotic. Hopefully in future editions of the series the prose will tone down to match the characters, setting, and actions of the story, which could make for a pretty enjoyable series.

For readers looking to start a new series of short stories, basically one full plot broken up into several short offerings, this may satisfy. It has fascinating men with a hint of dark sex and some intriguing possibilities. Slight problems aside, this may prove to be a fun, hot series. Check it out.
