He’s not sure of who he is, but he’s darned sure he wants Matthew. How sweet! I felt all warm and gooey inside when I got to the end because it wasn’t what I expected and it was perfect. What made it a bit jarring was I wasn’t sure why Tricksy felt the way he did at times. The interplay between Tricksy and Santa was cute and the double entendres funny. I found myself a little confused when I finally got to Santa’s point of view. I liked knowing how he felt and feeling his confusion as well, but it was a bit of a jar. There were also times when another party was added to the mix. It made the story hotter, indeed, but again, I had to reread more than once to make sure I knew what was going on. If a reader is looking for a kinky Christmas story, this one should fit the bill nicely.

Despite the small hiccups this book, the collection is full of Christmas cheer. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I opened this book, but it was worth the read. In fact, I think I’ll go back read it again. If you want a book that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face, then you need to grab a copy of ‘Twas A Dark and Delicious Christmas: Manlove Edition. Leah, the heroine, was a perfect addition to the story. I knew precisely what she thought throughout the book and loved her tentative attitude with Jericho—she didn’t want to ruin a good, solid working relationship (even if it was more or less in silence). The interplay between them made me smile.

If you want a book that’s got a balance of heart and heat, then you need to read Chemical Love. I give this book 3 cherries.

Then I could believe the lies that caused them to break up. I just could not believe that she did not doubt her father. Despite this, I enjoyed the book and was charmed watching Lenna and Braxton fall in love.

As hot as this book was, I missed the character development. Of the 58 pages of the book, 28 of it was the main sex scene not to mention sex play that occurred outside the main scene. I was new to the South Jersey Heat Wave series, and Bound to Ignite is book 3 so I got a bit lost as to what was happening. It took me awhile to pick up on the premise of the books, so I’d say they don’t stand alone well. Perhaps a prologue could have helped a newcomer catch up on the fun.

Still, I really did enjoy this book. I loved Eric’s willingness to try something he’d never done before. It was rather cute that he was surfing the Internet for the hour before Gillie showed up to learn how to spank. He cares so much for her that he wants to do it right. I loved that Gillie had the courage to trust Eric with her deepest fantasy. It was also quite human that their first effort at spanking didn’t go as planned.
