REVENGE SHOULD BE SWEET, BUT IT MAY COST HIM EVERYTHING

Out to avenge the death of his mentor, Bastien discovers himself astonishingly out of his depth when confronted with a beautiful, daring young woman who is out for his blood…

FORGIVENESS IS UNTHINKABLE BUT IT MAY BE HER ONLY HOPE…

British Admiral’s daughter Raeven Russell believes Bastien responsible for her fiancé’s death. But once the fiery beauty crosses swords with Bastien, she’s not so sure she really wants him to change his wicked ways…

She seeks a duel to the death. He’s bent on a journey for justice. They’ll both discover a love worth fighting for. Bastian and Raeven will find in the end what really matters most is family and love that lasts.

Author Shana Galen ends the exciting Sons of the Revolution series with a swashbuckling high seas adventure. Bastian has lived with guilt over the death of his family for many years and now the man who took him under his wing has been murdered. He’ll stop for nothing, not even a beautiful spitfire maiden, to track down the man responsible. It’s all he has left. Or so he thinks.

Raeven is bent on revenge for the death of her fiancé. She signs on as “cabin boy” with notorious Capt. Cutlass. Can this bloodthirsty damsel, who oddly enough is sickened at the sight of blood, put away her sword in time to see the hero standing before her?

This book was a lot of fun to read but it also has plenty to cause your heart to stutter. Between the sword fights, terrific battle scenes, steamy stuff, and sweet conclusion, readers will walk away knowing they lived an adventure.

Bastien is a classic Alpha hero. He takes charge, takes what he wants and yet has a vulnerable side. The dialogue is witty and the pace is quick in this final novel. Ms. Galen builds this period piece so readers will feel a part of the action.

If you love high seas literary escapes, consider the Sons of the Revolution series. You’ll garner the most enjoyment by reading books in order but it isn’t totally necessary. Ms. Galen provides sufficient back story. Pick up a copy of The Rogue Pirate’s Bride today and don’t forget to pack your sword and your sea legs. You’ll need both!

A decorated hero, pararescueman Liam McCabe lives to serve. Six months ago, he and Rachel Flores met in the horrific aftermath of an earthquake in the Bahamas. They were tempted by an explosive attraction, yet parted ways. Still, Liam has thought about Rachel every day—and night—since.

Now, after ignoring all his phone calls for six months, Rachel has turned up on base with a wild story about a high-ranking military traitor. She claims no one but Liam can help her—and she won’t trust anyone else.

With nothing but her word and the testimony of a discharged military cop to go on, Liam would be insane to risk his career—even his life—to help this woman who left him in the dust.

Wild rides, pulse-pounding danger, gripping suspense, and simmering, sizzling, spiraling passion keep Rachel and Major Liam McCabe on full alert as they frantically work to save themselves and others while trying to foil an attempt to cause an international incident that could endanger the nation. WOW!

Rachel Flores and Major Liam McCabe, who met during the aftermath of the Bahamas earthquake, are complex, strong intelligent characters who have a special connection, but also have tons of emotional baggage. Back in Florida, Rachel, while on hiatus from search and rescue, is working with PTSD veterans using therapy dogs. Liam trains with his pararescuemen to be ready for an assignment not in their usual purview.

After one of Rachel’s patients tells her about suspicious activity in high military echelons, her life is suddenly in danger but no one believes her. Out of options and scared for herself and her patient, she and her search and rescue dog, Disco, seek Liam’s help even though she’s avoided all his overtures since they returned from the earthquake mission.

Both Liam and Rachel have issues about “love” that impedes their having a relationship, but true love doesn’t give up easily. Their slow but steady rise above past heartaches while they maneuver to stay alive and stop a horrific international situation makes for page-turning, breath-holding read.

UNDER FIRE throbs with sweet and sensual love, danger, greed for power, and with super heroes who have a unique humor that belies the perilous lives they live.

Sub plots enrich this story. Brandon, the veteran with PTSD, and Catriona, who owns a special dog sitting business, creates a story that is captivating. The machinations of the antagonist, who feels that the end justifies the means are scary as can be. His firm belief that he should be in charge and anybody in the way of his plan is expendable, creates adrenaline-pumping action.

Catherine Mann once again gives the reader a spellbinding story with special super heroes whose motto is: “These things we do that others may live”. She weaves together humor, love, alligators in the Everglades, murder in the military, dogs undaunted by danger, and an amazing, diverse group of characters that sweep the reader into the actions and emotions with a climax that is mind-blowing.

A marriage made in Vegas…

Hunky cowboy Ace Riley wasn’t planning on settling down, but his family had other plans for him…The only way to save his hide, and his playboy lifestyle, is to discreetly marry his best friend, Jasmine King.

Can’t possibily last…

Fiesty city–girl Jasmine as just helping out her friend—that is, until their first kiss stirs up a whole mess of trouble, and suddenly discretion is thrown to the wind.

One hot cowboy, one riled up woman…

And they’ll be married for a year, like it or not!

Need to settle down? Why not marry your best friend?

I know when I pick up a book by Carolyn Brown I’m in for a treat. I consider her books like little socials with old friends. She brings back characters from the previous books all while introducing new ones. Now don’t let that be a deterrent. It’s truly a huge family reunion with spicy romance to boot. The words flow and I couldn’t put the book down once I started it. I had to know what would happen next.

Ms.Brown takes on two very popular tropes – friends to lover and secret weddings. While a lesser author might take the easy road with these story arcs, Ms. Brown doesn’t. Among them the most important is the effect of this poor health? In this you tadalafil cheapest cannot get the proper result, just according to the situation. Jazzy and Ace may not be able to see their feelings for each other right away, but I felt it. These characters struggle with real issues – if they add sex into the mix, will the friendship wither? If they give in and admit they love each other, will the other one not feel the same way?

And my favorite story arc – having to get married because the will says so. Again, this story arc has been done, but Ms. Brown makes it feel realistic, not forced. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some forcing involved, but I rooted for them to get married. I rooted for them to get that elusive happy ever after because I genuinely loved the characters. Jazzy is the complete opposite of Ace, but it works. They have a sizzle I couldn’t get away from.

If you want a book that will stay with you long after the last page, then this one is the book for you. Classic characters, a dash of spice and a healthy addition of southern twang. It’s a winner.

ETERNAL COMMITMENT IS NOT ON HER AGENDA…

Scorned by the vampire community for her lack of power, Isabel Anthony lives a carefree existence masquerading as human—although drifting through the debauched human nightlife, she prefers the patrons’ blood to other indulgences. But when she meets the sexy, arrogant king of the vampires, this party-girl’s life turns dark and dangerous.

BUT TIME’S RUNNING OUT FOR THE KING OF THE VAMPIRES…

Dead-set on finding the prophesied mate who will unlock his fiery powers, Thad Morgan must find his queen before their race is destroyed. Their enemies are gaining ground, and Thad needs his powers to unite his subjects. But when his search leads him to the defiant Isabel, he wonders if fate had gotten it seriously wrong…

Newly crowned King of Vampires, Thad Morgan, doesn’t simply want to find his destined mate he needs to find her. The safety and fate of the entire Vampire community hinges on Thad coming into his powers. For that to happen he needs to find “the one”. Naturally, he’d find her at a late night rave, right?

Elisabeth Staab’s debut novel is fast paced and descriptive. In a refreshing take on vampire wars the villain in the Chronicle of Yavn are a covey of sadistic wizards out to kill and steal vampire powers. Book one is centered on Thad and Isabel. She’s a vampire seemingly without powers and therefore useless in the vampire community. He needs to find the one that was foretold to be his mate before his own powers can be released.

Thad isn’t the typical hero you might think of when you hear “king of the vampires”. Most readers would assume he’s going to be a super-pumped up alpha male with heaping doses of self confidence. On the contrary, Thad isn’t nearly as confident as he needs to be to garner the respect of his people. A queen at his side would go a long way in changing the minds of the vampires to support and obey Thad.

Likewise, Isabel “Izzy” is hardly “queen” material. As I mentioned, she doesn’t have a power since her parents didn’t have power. The shock which this viagra online secretworldchronicle.com device generates had a negative affect when these men were performing sex and during this phase, men lost their erection and were not able to regain it for a very long time. viagra 100mg usa This medication works by destroying PDE5 enzymes which blocks the blood from passing ahead to the penis of the man. buying this buy generic levitra Diabetes is a common genetic disease occurring as a result of abnormal blood sugar concentration creates tiredness among diabetic patients which in turn creates stress. The unsuccessful prescription viagra uk http://secretworldchronicle.com/tag/red-saviour/ erection is caused due to either reason has a remedy. Or does she? It took me a little while to buy into Thad and Isabel’s attraction but that’s okay because it took them a while as well. The sexual chemistry is there in spades and they take full advantage to explore those sparks every chance they get. The sex is descriptive and intense but Ms. Staab does a good job not making it the focus of the story.

I was hooked from the moment Thad laid eyes on Isabel. She isn’t at all what he expected but he soon realizes she’s exactly what he needs. When Isabel and her human roommate, Alexia, are attacked Isabel comes to terms with needing Thad as well. Their relationship is rocky for a while due to a distinct lack of trust and lots of miscommunication but in the end the lust they felt early on grows into love.

The secondary characters in this book make a strong impression and are sure to be seen again soon. In fact, Ms. Staab has already noted that Anton and Tyra’s story will be out next with Prince of Power. I’ll be interested in seeing how they reconcile their major differences in the coming book. Another sub-plot that captured my attention was between Thad’s protector and friend Lee and the very human spitfire, Alexia. I’m not sure Lee knows quite what to do with her but he certainly wants her!

This series has some real potential. It works well to give readers a taste of the world Ms. Staab has created as well as a preview of things to come. Since this is the first book in the series, it’s the perfect opportunity to get a taste of Ms. Staab’s talent and be a part of a striking unique new series.

BASTARD ROYAL DAUGHTER, PAWN IN A DEADLY GAME

Sent to Scotland to be the king’s mistress and produce an heir, Clarrisa of York has never needed a miracle more. But the brusque Highland laird who kidnaps her is a bit too rough to be considered divine intervention.

HE’LL DO ANYTHING TO THWART HIS KING

With rival lairds determined to steal Clarrisa from him and royal henchmen searching for her allover the Highlands, Laird Broen MacNicols has a mess on his hands. Worse yet, there’s a magnetic attraction berween them, although he’s betrothed to another. But even an independent–minded lady like Clarrisa knows that a Highlander always claims his prize…

Clarissa of York may be a pawn in the forever struggle for power between the English and the Scottish Highlanders, but she has faith in her wits and inner strengths. This faith gives her a unique power among those who force their will on her by brute strength.

The acknowledged bastard-born daughter of Edward IV, Clarissa’s station in life is a dubious one. She’s of royal blood but not being born in wedlock keeps her out of the main stream of nobility society. She’s the “looked-down-on” relative often used for the family’s betterment. Clarissa has no say in the matter. She’s reminded daily of “her place”, “her duty”, “her fate”.

When she’s sent to Scotland in hopes she will bear an English-royal-blood son for James, the puppet ruler of Scotland, she sees life closing in. Then, as silent as the night shadows, Highlanders come. She’s whisked away. Once more she has no say about what they do to or with her.

Laird Broen MacNichols wants justice for his family. He wants to keep the Highlander clans from feuding among themselves so they can stand together against the Royalists. He’s a blue-eyed giant of a man, smart, brave, a man of honor—not a barbarian like Clarissa had been told. He causes her to have “wicked, carnal thoughts”. He’s temptation. The male spouse has issues with sperm count or lack of libido? Still looking for an easy solution? Then, you pharmacy on line viagra should read our below article in which we can help alleviate stress, medically, naturally and scientifically. Yet, she cannot give her trust even though she respects him for giving her a choice. Her virginity is all she owns and he lets her choose to whom and when she will give it.

The many strong secondary characters make the Highlander’s Prize rich with sub-plots. It seems everyone has his or her own agenda. Edme, who runs Broen’s household at Deigh Tower holds a unique place and gives wise council to Clarissa. Edme tells the young Englishwoman that there is a huge difference between being considered property of a man and sharing delights of being loved by a man. Another unusual character is Daphne. Her story brings out amazing truths about what lengths some will go to for true love and friendship. Oh, my, how tangled and secretive some of the lives are in this multi-layered story.

The antagonists, some less evil than others, but all threatening, create scary, heart-stopping happenings that make one wonder how in the world the hero and heroine will get out alive much less find their way to a happy-ever-after.

Mary Wine does a fantastic job of weaving together a very troubled time in history, amazing descriptions of Scottish castles, the unyielding environment of the Highlands, and horror of battlefields. She engages all the reader’s senses and pulls the readers into the time, place and action of the incredible characters. She weaves in the Scottish humor, sense of honor, Highland culture, beliefs, and fealty to clan. Best of all, she makes the reader feel the primal, sexual attraction of the hero and heroine. She delights with their posturing and their challenging each other as they find their way to awesome love that sparks and sparkles. Societal rules create trials and troubles for them, but their love transcends all and even reaches out to help others have and hold their own true loves.

Highlander’s Prize is another Mary Wine historical for the book shelf—a keeper to be enjoyed more than once.

A woman with an unspeakable past
Olivia Brightmore didn’t know what to expect when she took a position to teach at Englefiend School, an academy for “gifted” children. But it wasn’t having to rescue a young girl who levitated to the ceiling. Or battling a dark mystery in the surrounding woods. And nothing could have prepared her for Dr. Gareth St. John…

A man with exceptional talent
He knew all about her history and scrutinized her every move because of it. But there was more than suspicion lurking in those luscious green eyes. Even with all the strange occurrences at the school, the most unsettling of all is the attraction pulling Olivia and Gareth together with a force that cannot be denied.

Olivia knew the job she was taking on was unusual. She didn’t know exactly what a school for “gifted” children meant, but she knew it wasn’t going to be for common everyday gifts. She was a bit amazed though when she arrived and had to help a young girl afloat by the ceiling find a way to get back to the floor…

Isabel Cooper writes a very good story. Her words flow well, the storyline is interesting and she mixes danger and love together in active quest to stop a demon. There are no boring parts in this story.

The main female character, Olivia, married young, lost her husband, and sustained herself by playing at being a fake medium. As she matured, she found a mentor who actually trained her in areas of magic. It was this knowledge that got her the job. Because robertrobb.com buy generic levitra the process that causes PVD affects blood vessels and blood flow in the penile region. The leading male character is Gareth. He was injured in the war, knew of her charlatan role, and works as a doctor. He has no respect for her.

The author makes the sparks fly between the two. He can’t keep his hands off her and she wants him just as badly. Even though they end up in bed, they can’t tolerate each other. This part of the story is one my favorite parts. Ms. Cooper has Olivia give as a good as she gets and easily shows how hard it is for them to pretend they don’t care.

Throw in a demon who lives in the woods, wanting to take over the school, and the plot speeds right up. It gets very exciting when he begins to break the portal between his world and theirs. The drama and tension worked into the story as the war begins between human and demon is well expressed by the author. As they learn how their powers work and try to save the students and perhaps the world, you won’t want to leave your chair until you’ve reached the end.

This one is going in my personal library as a keeper. If you enjoy a good read with a bit of paranormal influence, you’ll like this book. Why not give it a try yourself?

Her instincts tell her he’s dangerous…

While her overprotective brother’s away, Meara Greymere’s planning to play—and it wouldn’t hurt to find herself a mate in the process. The last thing she needs is one of his SEAL buddies spoiling her fun, even if the guy is the hottest one she’s ever seen…

His powers of persuasion are impossible to resist…

Finn Emerson is a battle-hardened Navy SEAL and alpha wolf. He’s a little overqualified for baby-sitting, but feisty Meara is attracting trouble like a magnet…

As the only responsible alpha male in the vicinity, Finn is going to have to protect this intriguing woman from a horde of questionable men, and definitely from himself…

I got the greatest chuckle out of the pickle this otherwise competent and macho hero gets himself into. Doesn’t matter that he’s a Navy SEAL and a werewolf – all of his prowess and stealth can’t prevent him from falling in love. A man like him needs a woman who will challenge, poke, prod and thwart all his best laid plans and intentions. There’s no better heroine than Meara Greymere to get the job done and I enjoyed every moment.

It’s a great set up — Finn is going to protect the baby sister of his Navy SEAL buddy from her wayward ways. No man is good enough to be her mate but does he really stop to wonder why every single male is suspect and why he has such a keen interest in being so ‘thorough’? It can’t possibly be because he’s deluding himself, can it? No way could it be because he wants her for himself. He’s much too noble and focused to fall onto that well trodden path of lovey dovey cooing like his friend. He’s made of sterner stuff. He’s a soldier. Yeah, right. I could see him falling hard and wagging his tail all the way with mock growling and posturing. I adored Finn.

Good thing Meara is a woman not easily thrown off of the scent and she gives as good as she gets. I had fun watching the heroine be herself. She’s certainly stubborn, feisty and opinionated. She’s a planner, that one. But she never ever could have foreseen the action and diabolical betrayals that blow her little mating plot to smithereens. Her reactions to the bad news as well as the good were fascinating to watch. She’s not a weak character and she took turns impressing me and surprising me.

The drama that starts the ball rolling happens pretty fast in the story. It doesn’t take long before Finn and Meara are on the run, not knowing truly who to trust. People they thought they couldn’t trust became integral to their safety and those they never gave a second thought to their loyalty got a rude awakening. It was sad, really. Along these lines delayed viagra price in india restraint will just make her feel that you are no longer interested in her. They treat it like a cat and mouse game with deadly intent but enjoy the feeling of power they get from pulling the wool over their eyes. It took some delicate and timely maneuvering to get the players in place for the big showdown. The author did an excellent job of putting it all together, stringing me along and hiding who the true villains were until the last possible moment.

Wait until readers get a load of Bjornolf. You want to talk about a hunky guy with chutzpah and mysterious vibes? He’s got it in spades. What an awesome character to introduce and tease readers with. I hope his story is next because I’ve certainly taken a keen interest in the man. So effective, manly and maddening, he was a great addition to the story. And what he used to tie up the other operative? Oh yeah, I’m there. Any man that cheeky has got to have a story to tell.

As I’ve come to expect from Ms. Spear, when she gets her hero and heroine together it’s a sizzling good time with plenty of great point-counterpoint dialogue, sensual build-up and scorching delivery. The editing was perfect, the descriptive words painted scenes that jumped off of the pages and grabbed a reader’s attention. The action was tight and delivered with a high-powered punch. I wouldn’t have expected anything less from a story about a well trained Navy SEAL and I was certainly satisfied. So was Meara.

As for the happily ever after, it started off romantic and thrilling and then the author put the brakes on by making me laugh and giggle. Finn is SUCH a guy! See me roll my eyes. And you know what? It fit. Perfectly.

A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing is a non-stop action packed romance with kick, growls and sexy attitude. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough because there was so much going on, I couldn’t wait for what came next. A word to the wise – don’t start this book close to bed time, it’s too exciting! I also thought the guy on the cover with those dazzling aqua-blue eyes perfect brain-food for imagining Finn as he wooed his feisty heroine. His lust for power gave him everything. But it might cost him the love of his life.

The Bishop hired her for a simple job: embroider a tapestry. It is an enormous work, a cloth trophy of the conquest of England. But her skill with a needle and thread is legendary. It would be uncomplicated.

She plans to kill him as soon as she gets the chance. He and his brother, William the Conqueror, murdered her King and destroyed her world. Revenge, pure and clean. It would be simple.

But neither planned to fall desperately in love. As the two become hopelessly entangled, friends become enemies, enemies become lovers, and nothing in life—or the tapestry—is what it seems. An unlikely love story born of passion and intensity, crafted by critically acclaimed historical novelist Sarah Bower,The Needle in the Blood is a “story of love, war, and the tangled truth of England’s birth.”

The Needle in the Blood is a medieval adventure rife with danger, romance, and rich, historical detail. Reading this book brought the world of mid-eleventh century, Britain to life. The nitty-gritty, down-to-earth particulars of this brutal era are engrossing and educational at the same time.

It was a fascinating time, the end of Anglo-Saxon England, when William the Conqueror took control of the English throne. William had a half-brother, a bishop named Odo. Odo makes a great hero in this story. He’s charming and driven; a political man from the word go.

Gytha is Saxon and hates the Normans. She’s tough, and does what she must to survive in a world turned upside down. She is practical and not romantic. Gytha wants to kill Odo, as revenge for taking away her mistress. She gets the chance to meet the powerful but lonely Odo, who is plagued by nightmares. Something unexpected happens during this meeting. From then on, her contradicting feelings battle each other. She calls Odo her enemy but still lusts for him. He’s tender with her as no man has ever been. Odo grows to love her, but she pulls away at first, creating great tension. She wonders if she’ll fade into the mass of treasures he owns.

The Needle in the Blood is based off of true events in British history. The tapestry central to this story actually exists and depicts the events that lead to Norman control. One particular scene woven into the tapestry shows the Bishop Odo caressing the face of his mistress. Quite possibly this was the inspiration for this work of fiction.

The writing is intelligent and engaging. Be forewarned though, this is not a light read. It’s obvious Ms. Bower spent time researching historical events and the time period for accuracy. Besides forbidden love, it’s also a tale of survival and politics of the era. One just doesn’t know what will happen next during the reading.

The Needle in the Blood is for fans of serious historical fiction who appreciate a good romance; it’s an enjoyable book.
