Zach’s Rebound Girl was a classic romance in the first part of the story. It took some time for the mystery and the suspense elements to come to light. Actually, the mystery and the suspense elements were practically non-existent in the first part of the story. When it did come to light, the development was slow at first and then it took off. It kept me on the edge till the end.

Maddison was a nerd in college who had a crush on her best friend that secretly turned into love over time. Zachary always had a special place in his heart for Maddison. After college he has a successful business but he wants his best friend back. Maddison is a renovator in a television show. However, when incidents starts happening on the set her friends and Zach suspects there is more to it than simple accidents.

Zach and Maddison parted on less than amicable terms when they were in university. When Zach left without informing Maddison, it hurt her beyond anything. She wants Zach in her life not as a best friend but as a lover, a partner. Will they be able to get past their insecurities and secrets to commit on a forever after?

Both of the main characters, when they meet after years apart, have a lot of chemistry and passion between them. I could see it even if they couldn’t right away. That also played a big part in keeping them apart until they start to really communicate. One other thing I loved about these characters was, even after years without really seeing or talking to each other they knew and understand each other, as well as believed that both of them has changed somewhat in those years apart.

This is a book for the romance lovers who love a little bit of mystery and suspense added to it.

Second Chance Summer is the first book in the series. The background of this plot is interesting and very well written. The past plays a very important role in this story and this past isn’t revealed completely in the first page or even the first chapter. It is revealed in sections throughout the first part of the book and that is what kept me hooked.

Aiden has always regretted not stopping Lily when she was hell bent on leaving everything familiar when tragedy stuck. But the return of Lily after ten years puts his heart at jeopardy. Will he risk his heart again to get back the love of his life? If he does, it won’t be an easy journey. For any of them.

Lily and Aiden have a lot of hot sizzling chemistry but it is going to take a lot of work for their relationship to heal and rebuild. Jill Shalvis did a wonderful job in not only building a plot but also building all the characters with their own personality so that every aspect and every part of this story kept me interested and wanting to read it.

Throughout the story what was evident was that Lily loves Aiden. But ten years before something happened that made her leave her hometown and break her relationship with Aiden. The first part of the story kept me asking why and how she left and when I did find out everything what kept me reading was “will she leave again?” Will they be a couple again? I got the answers and more.

Besides the main character the secondary characters plays their own important parts and I believe these characters would be the reason for me to read the next book in these series.

Second Chance Summer is not only a contemporary romance but is also a story that goes deep into human emotions and actions. This one is an easy recommend for readers who love their heroes flawed and little on the naughty side and their heroines determined to resist, even when it’s futile. A fantastic read!

An Opportunity Seized caught my attention with its name. I immediately thought that this was a workplace/office mystery. After reading the book I am still not sure what the title has to do with the story.

Toni is an heiress, the daughter of a mining magnate, who just wants to be normal whereas Jason is ex-military and co-owner of Haven Security. Jason is the bodyguard hired by Toni’s father.

While guarding her he develops feelings for her. She falls for him, too. A relationship that was almost impossible to begin with is tested when a mining accident threatens the whole family.

One thing I liked about the relationship was that though both of them were immensely attracted to each other, they also get to know each other on a deeper level than just chemistry. This part of their relationship is shown clearly after the mining accident.

Readers who enjoy frequent sex will be pleased with this short story. It wasn’t the hard core erotic variety but there is enough to make a reader who isn’t used to reading it to possibly become either uncomfortable or start blushing like crazy.

That being said this is still a mystery. I think the beginning was a little slower than the ending. The ending seemed a little fast paced, which I loved.

This is a romantic mystery, heavy on the sexual elements. It worked for me because there was enough of the mystery plot to offset some of the romance.

The ending was a full of surprises. The twists and turns and the new information that were revealed kept me reading to the very end.

Beginning readers to this genre should be aware that Ethan is serious about his role as a Dom. Pain and passion go hand in hand in this book.

That being said I also think that Chameleon is a great Contemporary Romance with BDSM as a major theme but the romance is there as well. The romantic aspect of this book is slow going but totally worth it at the end.

But the one thing I loved about this one was the humor that made me smile and laugh when I read the antics of the women of town. Ana’s past has never really left or rather she hasn’t been able to let go of it. She has a successful professional life. Even if certain aspects of her profession are affected by her past, she’s been able to build a successful career. Her personal life is a whole other matter.

Damien had a rough life thanks to his crazy mother. He is a self-proclaimed hermit because of a disfigurement that occurred when he was a child. He never goes out, but because of his intelligence he has money and time. He can do anything he wants. It made it a little unbelievable for me that in all these years he never really went anywhere. But being an only child may have made it a lot easier to feel comfortable without needing companionship.

Damien and Ana’s past made them who they are and it’s also what makes them a great couple. They understand each other a lot better than anyone else would have. Damien’s disfigurement makes him a lover of the safety that the darkness provides while Ana’s encounter with a stranger as a child, makes her fear the darkness and what it holds.

Ms. Sinclair did a great job with the plot. But I think the characters are not that easy to understand. For example, Damien is very, very adamant that Ana will hate him and even be repulsed with him when she sees his face. It became a little repetitious. Likewise, when Ana was asked about what else happened with her when she was a child, she was adamant that nothing happened. Her denial of what triggered her issues with the dark was a little over the top. It was refreshing when she finally admits to the reason behind her very legitimate fears.

Ana and Damien’s relationship started out through online chatting. I think that played a big part in not only getting them together but also in their trust with each other. They had time to bond outside of their ‘normal’ world. The mystery and suspense had me hooked right until the end.

I love Historical Romance and this one has been set in the times of King Richard, the Lionheart. This is my first foray into this particular time period therefore I may not be the perfect one to say that the Historical aspect of the story was well written, but it seemed so.

Ramon is a newly appointed Baron. He’s sent by his King to not only woo the lady of Thistle keep but also protect her land from invaders. However, the lady of Thistle, after the death of her husband, has been taking care of her people alone and is completely against trusting the baron for the protection of the keep.

Isabel, the lady of Thistle keep is an independent and intelligent woman however, with her bad marriage it has become difficult for her to trust in men again but Ramon will not accept no for an answer.

The story line was simple, though the emotions weren’t. Miss Wine did a wonderful job in developing the story but it felt like it lacked consistency in some aspects. For example, Isabel’s stubbornness in not trusting Ramon and being adamant that both of them don’t have any relationship or passion for each other. They are attracted to each other, which Isabel couldn’t ignore for long but she did try. “The lady doth protest too much” would be fitting for Isabel’s attitude. Thankfully, Ramon was able to convince her otherwise.

Putting that aside, this historical novel was filled with passion and history. The ending was well written with twists and turns that kept me reading and looking forward to their HEA.

At the beginning, Tia seemed uncooperative and hostile towards Declan almost to the point that she seemed egotistical. It was annoying, but it took a while for me to realize what her problem was. I would like to have known what shaped her attitude from the beginning. Add it to the fact that Declan wants to show the world proof that ghosts exists. How far would he go to get it?

The ending was very well thought out. It brought all the pieces together nicely. Overall, this is a nice short story to get lost in. Paranormal romance lovers are sure to find the mystery and heat a nice mix.

Nonetheless, the plot is simple but with all the history attached, this book is part eye opening and part just really in depth. I did love reading the history and the plot came together to create a complex story.  Also, this erotic book is perfect for any reader who does not like extreme erotic content. The relationship between them is not only passionate but also has a lot of give and take.

The ending was a happy ending and a suspense for me, both of which I loved. Suspense because the overall conclusion of some of the plot apparently comes in the next book in the series. There were some things that was very difficult for me to understand and I think the reason for this is that this is the eighth book in the series. This isn’t necessarily a stand-alone book.

Readers who enjoy romance mixed with their science fiction and mystery should give this series a try. When the conclusion to this story comes, it’s going to be exciting!

Eva and Dominic have a chemistry that was not really evident from the first page but when their passion did show it was sizzling. Their relationship is not easy but it develops and I could see it develop a little more over every chapter. The ending is worth the surprise.

I would very much recommend it to any reader who loves a little zing in their books.
