Sean Hutchins is having the worst day of his life…

After losing what he thought was his dream job, Sean Hutchins walks away to suddenly find not only his professional life, but also his personal life, falling apart. Seeking comfort in his best friend Cassie, the last person Sean expects to run into is Cassie’s big brother—and Sean’s long time crush—Cal.

Medicine Can Be A Great Help Medical experts researched for years viagra free order to come with up a promising formulation to treat erection troubles. There are several unreliable suppliers of tadalafil sales this medication currently available on the market which are used for erectile dysfunction. If you buy Kamagra, you can be surprised to acknowledge viagra mastercard that you will get that might be of Ayurvedic kind. The real greenback is in adult-based programs, which generic viagra pills usually offer a wide range of options. Cal is supposed to be on vacation visiting his baby sister, not babysitting her and her best friend, Sean. And he definitely is not supposed to be staring at Sean’s hot ass. But after spending some time with the guy, Cal finds himself having confusing feelings for him.

Should Cal act on his attraction? And can Sean find a way to put back the broken pieces of his heart and his life?

Sean loves his job. But when his section is reorganized he learns firsthand that the last one hired is the first one fired. Determined to make the best of it, Sean decides to get his life in order. But when he goes home and finds his quasi-boyfriend in the middle of an orgy, Sean is devastated. When Sean turns to his best friend, Cassie, for an evening of commiserations, he’s surprised but pleased her older brother Cal is visiting. Because Sean has had a major crush on Cal forever, and this might finally be his chance to do something about it.

This is an interesting short story about how life can finally turn a corner when everything seems darkest. I really enjoyed Sean’s character right from the start. I desperately wanted to help lift him up after he lost both his job and his boyfriend pretty much simultaneously. I could also see that Cal was exactly the sort of guy who’d be perfect for Sean. I was eager to see them come together and hopefully forge something wonderful – something that could set Sean on the right path to taking back control of his life.

In many ways I found this to be a very sweet story. Except for some sexiness while Sean is drunk, Sean and Cal don’t just jump right into bed. Their movement from a cool, removed friendship into a real relationship is slow and gradual. There are some steamy kisses and plenty of indications they both are eager for more – but there’s no true consummation to my mind until right at the end of the story. Readers looking for a quick, erotically spicy story might not find this satisfying. Those looking for more of an emotional attachment, however, and for that “slow burn” kind of romance I think should really enjoy this.

I was a little disappointed we never heard what happened with Cassie. While there was talk of her also moving along with Sean, we don’t hear anything about her after she gives Sean and Cal some space. I was very curious whether she, too, made the move or stayed back in San Francisco. While I appreciate she wasn’t a main character, as Sean’s bff and Cal’s sister I really felt knowing even briefly how her plans panned out would have rounded out the story perfectly and not left the plot feeling unfinished to my mind. Possibly though there’s a sequel planned and this will be resolved later. I hope so.

Readers looking for an almost sweet M/M, where characterization and the relationship are central and sex – while present – takes a backseat will really enjoy this book. It’s short enough I feel it can be read promptly and I really enjoyed the tone and warmth between Sean, Cal and Cassie. A great read.

On Tuesday the old farmhouse on Lotus Road is empty and locked, with a For Sale sign out front. On Wednesday of the same week, it’s a charming used bookstore. How is this possible? That’s the mystery Mary June, Mario, and Elisa haven’t been able to figure out. And it’s not the only surprise they encounter. The eccentric owner, Jolene Fields, happens to know exactly what book they should be reading.

THE HERMIT BOOKSTORE takes place in the small California gold rush town of Lotus, where three friends get the unexpected push they need to make fateful shifts in their lives. Come along and discover with these three characters one of life’s magical moments.

Sometimes all you need is a little push to change your life in a big way.

In a tiny Californian town one morning a mysterious new bookstore opens in a long run-down farmhouse. The Hermit Bookstore and its old, curious owner pops up seemingly out of nowhere. Jolene, the owner, has an almost magical, uncanny knack for recommending the perfect book for the right person. This is a mysterious, intriguing story of how Jolene and The Hermit Bookstore change the lives of a few of the locals.

At first I didn’t really understand why this book was described as a mystery. Each chapter cycles through three different characters’ points of view and shows us how they came to stumble upon the bookstore, interact with Jolene and what difficulties they currently face in their individual lives. Mary June has unresolved family issues in her past – a weight she’s been carrying around for more than nine years. Mario has spent his life focusing on work, to the detriment of his personal relationship and especially his non-existent romantic life. And Elisa is in a dead-end relationship with a man totally unsuitable for her. While at a first glance none of these circumstances seem mysterious, the manner in which the bookshop and Jolene come to effect their lives – the serendipity of it – does lend an air of intrigue and mystery. There is an interesting twist right at the very end, which not only wraps everything up wonderfully – but definitely helps lend the overall air of mystery around the story.

This is not a regular “who-done-it” but more of a “life changes in mysterious ways” kind of story. I feel it has a heavy dose of the epic style of story – lives intersecting, chance meetings, Fate and destiny – but in an old style, sweeping story kind of way. While relationships and challenges of life are certainly involved, romance – in the traditional sense – is not. This story shows us the lives of the three main characters, it doesn’t focus on romantic entanglements. There are any number of strange happenings that are left for the reader to wonder at – foremost how Jolene “knows” exactly which book to pair with which person, and how they lead the main characters exactly where they need to go. Realism isn’t particularly strong here, but that adds to the mysterious, older style of story that I found this to be. I don’t need hard, harsh reality in my stories, not when the plot and characters are good – which I thought they both were here.

I was quite grateful the author stopped at three main characters. While the book itself isn’t long – having a chapter per point of view meant that once we’d been introduced to Elisa, Mary June and Mario I’m not sure I could have mentally kept hold of yet another character and story. While each of the three do live in the small town, they don’t really otherwise intersect and so keeping everything straight in my mind would have become difficult had we added another character into the mix. I feel the author did an excellent job of balancing it so that the story was complicated, but not so difficult I felt overwhelmed or unable to follow along.

I can easily see myself recommending this story of story to my mother – or grandmother. This is a happy, positive story about how our actions can change or influence other people’s lives. I feel certain nearly everyone would love to have a Hermit Bookstore nearby – I know I sure would! – to help lead us down the paths we need to head down. Leave realism and the real world behind, just relax and enjoy the story and ignore the many startling coincidences. This is a happy book that I think is meant to simply be read and enjoyed. The larger story – that we can draw solace and comfort from books and see our own lives and paths mirrored therein – is a brilliant tone to take.

Firehouse 69, Book 2

When Noah buys a classic ’68 Camaro from a fellow firefighter’s widow, he hopes it will ease some of the grief crushing his heart. But the grinding noise under the car’s hood sends him straight to a mechanic. After losing his partner to cancer a year ago, Hoyt never thought he’d feel the same kind of rush with another man. But his reaction to Noah throbs deep in his body like the rumble of his Harley.

LaForge seems like the perfect place to meet and work off some sorrow, to feel alive again. But the flood of desire quickly gets hot enough to melt their emotional barriers into unexpected connections.

Connections Hoyt isn’t sure he’s ready for…especially since history has a scary way of repeating itself.

Warning: Get your motor running for a Harley-riding hunk of muscle who doesn’t give a damn about the rules of being a Dom, and a firefighter who can take the heat. Buy a case of your favorite coolant. You’re gonna need it.

Since Noah had been semi-frequenting a BDSM club with his fellow firefighters, he’d discovered so much about himself. He found he liked being bent over and being paddled, and wearing a cock ring. Noah loved having a warm male hand guide his movements. Noah was deeply curious whether he’d love having his ass full, or his mouth, but he wasn’t keen to explore out on stage. He wanted to start a bit more privately. After purchasing a ’68 Camaro Noah goes to the local garage to have it tuned up. The mechanic, Hoyt, makes Noah feel unusually fluttery – and when Hoyt appears to silently recognize the keyfob Noah as from the BDSM club things only grow from there.

I really enjoyed this short story. The tone and pace was perfect to me – fast enough that I didn’t feel it lagging anywhere, but not rushed in any way. Hoyt and Noah talked, tested the waters between them and only then jumped into bed. More powerful than that – I really loved how both men had pasts and issues they needed to overcome. Both men had lost people close to them, and I particularly enjoyed how Noah recognized that sadness and loss in Hoyt. Neither man used the other as a sop or quick-fix either. They’d both taken time to balance themselves and they were both eager to explore the relationship as one part of their emotional recovery.

This book was extremely emotional to my mind. I love how the author and characters used BDSM not as a kink, or as something to shock and show off – but as a tool to come to grips with their emotion. Both Hoyt and Noah were interested in the BDSM lifestyle, but I really enjoyed watching them use that to help them emotionally. It gave the story a lot of heart to my mind and made the story that much deeper for me.

I found this to be a really strong, emotional read filled with some elements of BDSM and a wonderful romance. With a smattering of kink and sexy M/M there is plenty here that I feel will appeal to most readers. Recommended.

When tragedy strikes and Bobby needs Keith, he steps up to support his lover. But Bobby lacks trust in Keith and everything around him. Can Keith convince Bobby that this time is for real, or will the two lovers never reconcile?

Bobby loves Keith, but Keith is sharply aware of their fifteen year age difference. The two men met when their respective best friends started dating and sparks flew from the very first second. Neither Keith nor Bobby were looking for anything stable to begin with, but as their “friends with benefits” hook ups became more regular Bobby became more serious. Keith has warned Bobby from the very beginning that their age difference made him nervous, and so the men break up and Bobby is heartbroken.

I found this an interesting story. The pace meanders but focuses fully on the relationship between Bobby and Keith. Apart from the fact this is an M/M I’d actually say this is very similar to many of the older-style romances where the plot *is* the relationship between the two protagonists. I enjoyed how the author spent their time developing the story around the two men. The conversations weren’t rushed and all the scenes/interactions took their time. I’ve honestly become quite used to the quicker pace of action based plots and more modern, faster relationships. So it felt quite the breath of fresh air to find a slower paced book that really fleshed out all the conversations.

At times in the full length story I did wonder if some of the pace might be tightened, but I think that was my personal feelings, I got the impression the author purposely had the slower pace so the reader could more fully appreciate all the complexities that really surround a blossoming romance. I also privately wondered why the age difference between Bobby and Keith was so important, particularly to Keith. Fifteen years isn’t anything to blithely ignore – but it’s also not so incredibly uncommon nowadays either. While this might be something for some readers to consider, I honestly feel that the author meshed this in with the “older style” storytelling quite well. I did enjoy it, but just couldn’t help question whether it was really such a current/modern style of problem – particularly it acted as a big part of the plot and catalyst for much of the conflict. It was a pivotal point to my mind in the book, and I just wasn’t completely sold on it being such a critical issue.

I found the sex to be tenderly written – almost “spicy” as opposed to “erotic”. I had no qualm about this though, as this fit with the slower pace, older style of writing and far more emotional type of story this was to my mind. Emotional and spicy, rather than erotic and over the top. The characters were amazingly written. I loved how they actually started almost as protagonists – each the best friend of a new couple, Zach and Jason, and both Keith and Bobby were looking out for their own best friend and trying to extract information from the other. I found that a fantastic set-up for Keith and Bobby and it drew me right into the story. None of the characters were simple or easily understood – and that made them even more interesting to me. I also really loved how deeply emotional the plot was. In some places I genuinely teared up – at what both Keith and Bobby went through. I felt such a strong connection to the two men that I was deeply invested in both them and their relationship.

A strongly written, deeply emotional read, I found the characters and situations they worked through to be excellently written. While a few snags kept this from being a fantastic read, I really enjoyed it and will happily read it again and would eagerly read more from this author.

Darragh O’Flannery never thinks he’ll meet a man like Aubrey Rabinstern while fighting the wildfires destroying acres of land and homes. Yet in the middle of the chaos, he and Aubrey forge a connection. Can it withstand the normality of life once the fires are put out?

Darragh is a firefighter, working against the wildfires to save as much land and as many homes as he can. Aubrey is trying to defend his home against the fires but knows his chances of saving his home aren’t good. While they’re both instantly attracted to each other, with Aubrey evacuating his home and Darragh fighting the fire the men don’t have much time to exchange pleasantries. Darragh finds an orphaned kitten in the fires and is delighted when he finds Aubrey working at the local clinic.

I found this to be a lovely, well paced story. Who can possibly go past a hot firefighter? Darragh is a sexy hero with a heart of gold – I wasn’t the least surprised how quickly Aubrey fell for him. And it was a delight to read that the instant attraction was mutual. I enjoyed how sweet both guys were and found their excitement at getting to know each other addictive. I would have enjoyed if the plot was a little deeper – possibly being able to see more of the wildfires going on and more of the action/conflict of the firefighters against the fire itself. While I immensely enjoyed the story, I felt the loss of not having a strong conflict in the plot itself.

There was nothing missing, though, between Aubrey and Darragh. I greatly enjoyed their interactions and loved watching them come together. While there were a few chaste kisses, and some steamy looks and talking, there was no sex at all. In many ways I found this to be quite a sweet romance. Both Aubrey and Darragh take their time and both are happy to move slowly as they build something lasting and worthwhile. Readers looking to dip their toes into M/M romance, or who like a softer style of story should really enjoy this. I’d happily recommend it to friends who like their romance steamy but in no way explicit or spicy.

I feel this is a lighthearted, emotional and very heartfelt story. I loved the happy ending and greatly enjoyed reading about Aubrey and Darragh.

So his work precinct is making him take some extra training to be a proper, certified cop shifter. While not opposed to the extra work, Rhys and his human police partner, Kevin are both perfectly comfortable with their partnership as it is. Neither wants to rock the boat. So Rhys talks Kevin into doing the certification with him. But the fierce training shows them both problems neither had been aware of…

This is an interesting read I really enjoyed. While I’m not always a fan of stories written in the first-person I quickly got into the swing of this one. I enjoyed the ribaldry between Rhys and Kevin, two guys who, while perfectly grown up, often acted like immature teens together. I felt like it gave the whole book a relaxed, casual tone that had me smiling and happily turning the pages. I had a few questions about the world building – like how can someone be considered a wolf shifter, and be a quarter werewolf but not be able to change? – so it felt a little like I was entering a series mid-way through. While I usually hate that, I did enjoy the characters and story itself, so I could push back my own questions about how some of the things worked.

There were some descriptive foreplay-ish kind of scenes – M/M, obviously – and a very small amount of non-explicit sex. I found all the physical romance to be tastefully written and deliciously spicy. I think most readers should enjoy them as much as I did – only those who want to avoid M/M or prefer “sweet only” stories should steer clear. There is nothing outrageous or even really erotic here – just two men in a happy, consenting sexual relationship.

I found the plot to be interesting and quite fresh, I’ve never really read a book like this so the newness kept me entertained. I also really enjoyed the author’s style and tone. I found Rhys and Kevin to be interesting, layered characters and found myself engrossed in their world and their getting certified. Their relationship underwent quite the drastic change and this added strongly to the emotional content too.

A fun, fast paced story I really enjoyed. I can strongly recommend this work and plan to look up more by this author.

This is a great werewolf/paranormal short story. I thoroughly enjoyed the complex plot – and was surprised by a few of the twists, which was lovely and refreshing. I also particularly liked how Cary and Grant didn’t just fall all over each other and jump straight into bed. They both had to work at their relationship and had problems to overcome.

I did find the whole set-up a little over the top. I’m not sure how often FBI agents are werewolves, or their paralegal boyfriends get kidnapped by rival werewolf clans and held as hostage – but while fun and fantastic, this is definitely a book where I think you’ll need to check your brain at the door, suspend disbelief and just relax and go with the flow. Realistic, it’s not. Fun and action packed, it is.

I also really liked both Grant and Cary’s characters. There is only one sex scene – a deliciously hot one that is fairly brief and one I didn’t find gave too much away. I felt the author walked a great line between a steamy love scene (M/M) and not tipping over into an erotic or overly explicit scene that could put readers off.

I found this to be a fun, fast paced short story and am hoping it’s part of a larger series about the Moon Dogs werewolf pack. I’ll definitely be looking for more of these stories. A great, quick read and one I would happily recommend.

I really enjoyed this short story. While I have a feeling there might be other books previous to this one, I picked it up easily enough and was able to happily follow the story with no problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the authors tone of voice and found myself quickly invested in Wake and Cody’s relationship and the drama going on in their lives. I liked how normal the author made them both seem. Laundry and long commutes, satisfaction at finally living together and mild concern over their jobs and money situation. I found both men interesting and relatable.

There was not a lot of conflict in the plot, but I was still quite intrigued to read about Cody dealing with the death of his estranged father. It made for a strongly emotional read. There wasn’t much action or intrigue, but the plot was interesting enough to maintain my interest. Family, relationships and all the emotional drama relating to that made for a solid plot and while it hadn’t been what I was expecting I still enjoyed it. I felt some of the resolution was a little pat, but this didn’t detract for me liking either character. The sex was tasteful and nowhere near as explicit as many M/M erotica pieces out there. While definitely sensual and sexy, I found the focus of the story really is centered on the relationships – not the sex. This would be a good book that I’d recommend to friends unsure of the M/M genre as a great introduction. Passion and intimacy but nothing earth-shattering or envelope pushing. Just an easy, romantic story that happens to be about two men.

A quick, interesting read with two great characters I thoroughly enjoyed. A gentle and sensual M/M story that I feel will appeal to a broad range of readers.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved how the initial interview between both Aaron and Jordan was so heavily laden with chemistry and subtle context within their words. What had clearly originated in being an interview for a nanny position quickly grew deeper and Aaron and Jordan both were interviewing the other for a more sensual, enticing series of positions. I also liked how putting emphasis on certain words highlighted that both men were into BDSM and it all seemed to flow so naturally between them. I found myself eagerly turning the pages and drawn deeply to them both.

A seriously hot story and one I thoroughly found myself impressed with. I really appreciated how the author took significant time in letting Aaron and Jordan set up the slow burn. Despite this being a shorter length story the emotional and romantic connection building between them too a good deal of the time. There was no rushing or half-baked, instantaneous romance. The connection that grew between them felt to me like it was deep, real and intense. I really enjoyed this. And the sex, when it finally came, was all the hotter for that long build up.

A strongly romantic, deliciously erotic tale I can happily recommend.

Should be a piece of cake, right?

Jory and Sam are finally getting married. There are more than a few bumps in the road – including an attempted assassination and the extravagant wedding of Jory’s ex-husband – but nothing will get in Jory and Sam’s way as they finally, officially tie the knot together in Chicago.

This is a really fun, well paced story. I have to admit I got quite lost in the opening chapter. In very quick succession (the first three or four pages) we jump time three times with no explanation other than a large paragraph break. I found this highly disorientating and although I instantly enjoyed Jory’s voice and style in telling me, the reader, his story, I had no clue at all what was going on – whether we were at his wedding, or his ex-husbands wedding. While I’m sure this organized-chaotic style of opening will seem fresh and unique to many readers, it left me, personally, lost and feeling like I’d missed something big and important. For such a relatively short story, having to go back and reread the first few pages again was a little difficult and annoying. But I really did enjoy Jory’s tone and voice, and with perseverance I was paid off by a thrilling and fun tale.

Aside from feeling lost now and then, I really thoroughly enjoyed this M/M romance tale. I found it full of emotional scenes, fun and laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of lighthearted romance. While definitely a M/M, there is nothing too outrageous sexually in this book and would be an excellent story I feel for readers wanting something more romance and emotional rather than kinky and strongly erotic.

Grab a lovely drink, put your feet up and relax with this fun, fast and delightful short story. I found the ending deeply satisfying and wonderfully romantic. After such a roller coaster ride it was a true pleasure to read Jory and Sam finally getting their happily ever after. A lovely story and one I will enjoy reading again.
