The secondary characters are very likable, but can be a bit overwhelming. I did not have the pleasure of reading the previous stories in this series, which left me at a disadvantage because there are so many characters that I felt disconnected to. With that said, I can see how readers of the previous stories would love these characters and would want more of them.

This story had a very dynamic plot, which made it extremely entertaining. Not only were the main characaters trying to sort out their relationship, but they also had to deal with rogue werewolves and intolerant families. Again, since I did not read previous stories within this story I felt a little disconnected from some aspects of the sub-plots. One plot I felt completely emotionally involved in was Sebastian’s personal issues. Poor Sebastian only seemed to have his parents and Marcus in his corner. Because of his half-blood heritage, he is viewed as a misfit among his kind. While this made the story complex it is a common situation so it made the emotional connection with the characters particularly Sebastian more in depth.

This story was definitely action packed which made the time fly when reading. There was never a dull moment and for that, I would recommend this story to anyone who loves a good, sexy shifter now and then.

Pat Cunningham out did herself on writing a story about two people with completely different backgrounds coming together to find that unconditional love that everyone is looking for. This is not just a story about falling in love but more the journey love takes you on when you find the one worth fighting for. A very good read.

Kallie is a smart and feisty woman who has her own hurts from her past and tries to deal with them all on her own. I really enjoyed the interaction and bantering between these two. It was nice to watch Jake discover what kind of woman Kallie is underneath all her bravado and when Kallie figures out just what makes Jake tick it was nice seeing him deal with things emotionally. The two make a wonderful couple. Not only do the two have to deal with their feelings but it also seems that someone is out to hurt Kallie. When the chips are down we see that they each can count on each other to stand by them.

Cherise Sinclair does a wonderful job of combining just the right amount of suspense into this great story. I enjoyed the way Jake and Kallie got to not only share their pasts but their futures as well. It was nice to see how patient Jake was with introducing Kallie to his world of Dominance and how open Kallie was to it.

This was a beautiful read that was well written and should not be missed. I know that I will certainly be on the look out for more from this author in the future.

Can he control himself? And adding to this was a continued guilt for being who he was at heart – a sadist. Fortunately, Shiloh’s character managed to offset this with her own turmoil as she realizes that unless Victor can let go of the past and give her the opportunity to stand against and submit to the darkness within, she will have to walk away from the man she has fallen in love with; for she is a true masochist and needs what only he can provide – if only he can get past his issues.

The writing, as I stated above, is fantastic. Ms. Burkhart pens memorable stories with tortured characters that are impossible to forget. I recommend Hurt Me So Good to BDSM enthusiasts who don’t necessarily want the heat (there is heat here, but not to the degree that many stories in this genre aspire to) but a story that takes them on an emotional journey.

While the writing and the plot were a little predictable it was a scintillating read. Lila has personal history issues that she has to work through and that seem to influence her decision to be a thief. Clint and Val are conflicted between doing their duty and keeping Lila for themselves.

If you’re looking for a steamy novella with a sassy thief and a couple of gambling good guys with a flair for Lady Luck then this is the book for you.

I quite honestly didn’t know what to expect, and due to excellent plotting and uncanny timing which can only come from excellent writing, I didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of figuring things out beforehand.

She’s managed to tackle controversial subject matter by introducing the reader to a victim who becomes her own savior. Although her flourishing relationship with hero creates the path, it is she who confronts and cages the demons that have enslaved her, and it’s an amazing sight to witness.

Due to the subject matter, Doll might not suit the tastes of everyone. However, due to fantastic writing, memorable characters, and the provocative theme, I personally could not put the story down. Anything that makes you stop and think is worth a read, and this story definitely accomplishes that.
