It all started as one big misunderstanding. Jessie Sawyer’s boyfriend, Devin, gave her a key to his apartment and she merely wanted to thank him in a jazzy, make-your-wet-dreams-come-true kind of way. She had no idea his roommate, Conner, would come home so early and catch her posing in her new lingerie…with her hand between her legs. But what begins as one huge, mortifying experience soon turns into the most memorable, pleasurable night of her life when Devin finally shows up and neither man wants her to leave.

Jessie’s best laid plans of surprising her boyfriend go slightly off track when his best friend and roommate is the first to arrive home and inadvertently gets a sample of Jessie’s seduction buffet.

You can tell she’s nervous and excited all at the same time. Who wouldn’t be? It was easy to pick up Jessie’s anxiety at possibly hurting her relationship with Devin even though you truly wanted to experience what Conner was suggesting.

The plot is pretty simple and straight forward. The story moves along a smooth pace that will keep readers engaged from beginning to end.

Readers should know going in to not expect extensive backgrounds on these characters. Ms. Stowe does a fine job of presenting an established, though relatively new, relationship between Jessie and Devin. https://pdxcommercial.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Alameda-Brewery-Brochure.pdf on line viagra I sit next to my sleeping dog, close my eyes and pet the sleeping dog. When the three of them come together there’s no doubt that they all want it. Ms. Stowe’s deliciously detailed descriptions bring the reader right into the room and smack dab in the middle of some seriously hot action including some tastefully written and sweet M/M interaction.

A second chance at a first love? All while surrounded by the glitz and glamour of Christmas? In this book, it’s completely possible.

This is my first chance to read a story by Nancy Lee Badger and I’m glad I did. This story has an interesting plot that drew me in from the moment I read the blurb. I love a story with military hunks and this one is chock full of them.

What took away from the story for me was a couple things. The pacing is really fast. We fly from one scene to the next, and the whirlwind fashion of the pairing of Jayne and Chris was almost a little hard to fathom. I’m a sucker for love at first sight, but I had a hard time buying into the swiftness of the courtship. The scene at the wedding was hot, but I had to go back three times to make sure I knew what was going on. Another thing that was a little tough to get past was Chris. I understood why he acted as he did, but I didn’t feel like I really got to know him. He’s a total hunk, I wanted more about him.

Still, this is a sweet little holiday read that’s sure to warm your heart and warm your libido. If you’re looking for such a story, then you need to grab a copy of Unwrapping Chris. 3 cherries.

When Wolfe walks into Wilderness Wanderings, he knows he’s met his mate. Lyssa, unfortunately, is not so happy to discover her destined mate is a wolf. Long ago she swore she would never be a member of a pack again and she’s sure nothing he says will change that.

So what if the client is sex on legs. So what if he smells good enough to jump. So what if…he’s a wolf shifter and her mate? Okay, not so typical a job after all.

Lyssa Merrick has purposely lived as far away as possible from her family and pack ever since she was made to feel an outsider. Who could blame her, really? She was a lynx living in a wolf pack. Her mother was the only other lynx she knew and was married to Lyssa’s father who is Alpha of the pack. Ms. Beau has a beautiful way with words. That first meeting is so full of tension my eReader started to fog over. She describes how Lyssa reacts to realizing that the man in front of her is not only a wolf but her destined mate and I think my heart was beating just as loud as Lyssa’s when he touches her hand and her face. In the past I’ve tended to lean towards only reading wolf shifter books but the cats are starting to get to me. I could literally imagine the way my own housecat reacts when we stroke her head or rub her back. Ms. Beau describes Lyssa’s reaction as one of confusion of whether she should claw, bite or purr and that is definitely true to a cats nature.

Wolfe is exactly the type of alpha character you would hope and expect in a shifter book. He is determined and self-confident when suddenly faced with his mate. He’s also protective and fearless when even the slightest hint of harm comes near her. In a word, Wolfe is fierce!

Wolf! was a terrific little novella and I wouldn’t mind revisiting this pack again in the future. We get a sneak peek at Wolfe’s sister and her mate that left me wanting more. For a short story with a lot of heart and some heat to warm these cold nights, pick up a copy of Wolf!

An unexpected gift…

After a fire destroyed her home and her fiancé abandoned her, Zora Austin did all she could to put her life back together and forget the Christmas wedding she’d always longed to have. More than a year later she is doing well. Then a day spent at a late Autumn festival takes a turn when a strange vendor lures her into a tent and gifts her with a crystal containing a tiny medieval warlord. Inexplicably compelled, she takes the figurine home with her. The moment her fingertips graze across the smooth top, she is pulled into the crystal and into the barbarian’s very real embrace.

An awaited reprieve…

Before the spirited beauty in the bridal gown tumbled into his arms and subsequently freed him, highland warlord, Thedan the Dark had known only a thirst for vengeance and a fierce longing for that which he’d been too long denied…his foretold bride. Convincing her that she is his might be difficult. Finding a way to keep the crystal from reclaiming him for all time may prove impossible. Still, if he can escape the power of the curse, will he choose long awaited vengeance or a new life with his bride in a world so different from all he’d known?

I had a feeling that this story was going to be good and I was not disappointed at all. Zora finds herself buying a crystal figurine of a barbarian and, upon taking it home, she wakes up to find it is a real live in-the-flesh man. As Zora learns just what she has really bought she finds herself falling for the big lug, but can it last and is it really love?

I was so engrossed in this story right from the start that I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. Zora is a great woman. He shows Zora how much he loves her and keeps his word, making sure Zora never doubts him. The two are a cute and playful couple. I just loved the banter they share, neither being ashamed to show their love and lust for each other.

Naomi James writes a marvelous story about finding true love when you least expect it. The Bride and the Barbarian is well written and full of emotion. My only complaint came when I realized the story was over. I will certainly be on the look out for more books from this author and will be encouraging everyone to read this one.

To resist the perfect man, please follow these simple rules:

Step 1: Never make eye contact.
Step 2: Never smile at him.
Step 3: Never agree to anything he suggests.

Or better yet, just do what Lenna Davenport did, and give in to temptation, sparking a whole tangle of passion, forbidden romance, mounting secrets and deceit. She meets the guy for her at her father’s company Christmas party. Problem is he happens to be her dad’s new boss–a boss her father hates. But what Daddy doesn’t know…

Braxton Farris takes over Farris Industries out of family obligation and expects his new employees might resent his youth and inexperience. What he doesn’t expect is the level of contempt Tom Davenport carries for him. Nor does he count on falling for Tom’s daughter.

Who thought attending her father’s office Christmas party would change Lenna Davenport’s life?

Lenna feels like Cinderella at her father’s office Christmas party. But her father and his friends are using the occasion to mock their new young boss. Braxton Farris has taken over his father’s company due to a family health crisis that his family wants no one to know about. Braxton is having a horrible night until he meets Lenna. When Lenna and Braxton meet the pull is electric, but both try to fight it. Yet some things cannot be ignored.

I enjoyed How to Resist Prince Charming, it reminded me of a Harlequin Presents or a Silhouette Desire. The tension was real and the love scenes were good. I liked both Lenna and Braxton and bonded with both of them from the very beginning of the book. As much as I liked Braxton, I didn’t like that he became so altruistic at the end. In case, viagra for sale a man is seen withdrawing from that care about them, which puts a serious strain on their relationships. Emergency dental treatment is the term used to describe the discomfort in one’s belly mostly caused after food consumption. He seemed too good to be true. With Lenna’s father making such huge mistakes, some flaws in Braxton would have humanized him. On that note, I found it hard to watch Lenna’s father be so selfish and immature. I’m sure there are people like that, but I find it hard to believe he would have raised someone as kind as Lenna. I enjoyed the sex scenes and I’d say they are on the same level as a Harlequin Presents, but more frequent.

If you’re wondering why the review is only a 3.5 it’s because the book just seemed to lack a certain intensity. The heart of this book is its story. To me it was about the emotional trade off of being separated and reunited. For the emotions to be real, I had to believe that Lenna couldn’t perceive how immature her father was. Then I could believe the lies that caused them to break up. I just could not believe that she did not doubt her father. Despite this, I enjoyed the book and was charmed watching Lenna and Braxton fall in love.

The sexual tension between Braxton and Lenna was exciting to read. Their relationship was beautiful. If you’re looking for a dreamy romantic read, try How to Resist Prince Charming. Like Lenna, I couldn’t resist Braxton either.

When the beautiful and wealthy Julia approached Lizzy with the offer to switch bodies and lives with her, Lizzy accepted, though skeptical. When it worked, Lizzy thought she had hit the jackpot—until she found out she was not only a vampire who was the queen of a vampire council which was in the middle of a war, and also married to a husband who hated her, she knew she had bitten off more than she could chew.

Over My Undead Body is Freaky Friday meets Beverly Hillbillies with fangs.

What happens when you switch bodies with a female vampire? What happens when you find out you are attracted to her vampire husband? What about if you have to immerse yourself in a war between vampire factions you didn’t even know existed? Well, read Over My Dead Body and find out what happens next.

Ms. Cairo writes an interesting novella. Her take on the vampire genre is unique and fun. Julia ran from her duties as a vampire leader in order to be with her human mate. She allows Lizzy to inhabit her body and the issues that come with being Julia.

I liked how Lizzy fell into the lifestyle. Some of us act first and think later and this made Lizzy relatable to the reader.

Billy made a great hero in that he knew what he wanted, but he almost came off as gruff when he didn’t need to. But he did personify the alpha male.

Billy and Lizzy needed to fend off the advances of the Chinese faction of vampires who wished to challenge Billy as the leader. I wished more of the actual battle had been part of the story to give Lizzy more of a role as the protector and fighter.

When she and Billy got together and admitted their affection for each other, the reader could feel the love and passion between them, which really made the story more powerful.

If you want a fun vampire novella, then you want to read Over My Dead Body. You don’t want to miss it. I give this novella 3 ½ cherries.

PJ James’ New Year’s resolution is to make no resolutions, especially of the romantic kind. She’s always failed at her resolutions in the past, and this year she’s going to save herself from the pressure to succeed and the guilt of failure. But as the New Year approaches, she begins to wonder if she’s completely jinxed herself by bucking tradition when she meets the perfect man…and he turns out to be gay. Or is he? And just exactly what else is he hiding from her?

St. John is beginning to question his failure to listen to his instincts. He should have told PJ his real reason for hanging around her small town, but his dedication to her brother along with a promise of confidentiality kept him silent. The only problem was his undercover assignment wasn’t turning out exactly as he intended.

First, the idea of being a bouncer in a gay club would have worked out well had PJ James not been so damned sexy. And second, the closer he got to her, the more he wanted to tell her the truth…that her life was in danger, and it was his job to protect her. And damn duty, ethics, and promises. Longer than a short story, but shorter than a novella, this is a fast paced read and a good idea for a lazy afternoon on the beach or deck.

PJ James owns Words To Live By, part bookstore, part tearoom. She’s a sucker for a soft story and when her brother tells her Sebastian (Bastian) needs some place to live because he’s been the victim of a gay bashing, she opens her heart and spare apartment to him.

But here’s the twist; her brother lied. Bastian isn’t gay and doesn’t really need a place to live. He’s a former cop and now runs his own security company. PJ’s brother has asked him to keep an eye on PJ because he’s been getting death threats.

Because of the genre, readers will probably guess that PJ and Bastian are going to end up together, but how they get there and what they get up to when they do make this one a fun read. Grab yourself a copy.
