Now Jessie has a counter offer. She’ll give Cadde controlling interest of the business if he’ll give her a baby…the natural way. Only he has a few caveats of his own. When life refuses to follow their written plan, Jessie and Cadde have to decide which is more important: their unspoken love or the family business.

Love will always win out.

I’ve had the honor of reading the other books in Ms. Warren’s Hardin Boys series. I’m glad I got this one as well. Ms. Warren writes stories with characters I can’t forget and situations I need to root for them to overcome. The words simply flow on the page and take the reader from scene to scene effortlessly. I might not have agreed with every single one of the characters’ actions – who really does? That’s what gets the reader emotionally involved in the story–I still had to know what would happen next.

If you want a book that will stay with you long after the last page and is chock full of characters you’ll root for from the get-go, then you need to read The Texan’s Bride. It’s a fun, sweet, and spicy read.

One aspect of this story that really separates it from any other story I have read is that it is extremely light hearted and playful. This was an exciting change to the typical love affair. It also allowed the author to display the characters’ personality well, including the plethora of sub characters throughout the story. At times I found myself so enchanted by the banter that I forget the antagonist was leaking around the corner.

The antagonistic conflict played a large role in Genie Knows Best sometimes to the point that I forgot it was a romance story. While I think that the antagonistic conflict was fitting to the story and help it progress nicely, I would have liked to have seen a little more time spent building the romantic aspect of this story.

This story was full of many mythical creatures, which really keep me on my toes. You never knew when Gremlins, Leprechauns, unicorns, or any other mythical creature you can think of would show up. I love mythical creatures so this was something I thoroughly enjoyed. Especially when they got to arguing with each other. I could have read about the fights for days between all of the creatures in Izaaz.

Not only is this a story I would recommend to others, I already have a few people in mind that I know would love it and plan to tell them today. So if you are looking for a love story with a laugh this would certainly fit the bill.

But rugged rancher Chase Caldwell has changed, hardened by bitterness and loss. The last thing he’s looking for is romance with the first woman who broke his heart…

Searching for a romance containing a hot cowboy, a saucy heroine, and enough tension to keep you turning the pages? Look no further. Joanne Kennedy’s Tall, Dark, and Cowboy is all that and then some.

When the novel begins, you are introduced to the heroine, Lacey Bradford; an ex-trophy wife who’s been spoiled her entire life. It’s taken a bad divorce and a healthy dose of fear to send her back home to the one man she has always been able to count on. Unfortunately, things have changed. The boy she once knew has grown, becoming a sexy cowboy she can’t stop thinking about. Enter Chase Caldwell, an endearing yet determined man who has loved, lost, and finally started rebuilding his life. When Lacey reappears, he’s at war with his feelings. He wants to love her, yet he can’t help but resent her. Knowing she needs his help, he reluctantly agrees to do what he can to aid the woman he’s dreamed about for years.

Tall, Dark, and Cowboy is a lighthearted, fun-loving, cowboy romp. This allows the medication to be absorbed purchase cheap levitra by your body and helps to become young and energetic. Unless a person would not discuss the issue with the help of straight from the source levitra no prescription a medicine. Lacey and Chase play off of each other beautifully. When he’s snappy, she has a snarky retort to set him on his heels. These scenes are the true treasure of the book. When their chemistry overtakes them, the pages start to sizzle. Each encounter is better than the one before, leaving the reader anxious to learn what happens next. Can Chase overcome his past? Will Lacey realize that she could lose everything in her determination to stand on her own?

One minor complaint: Lacey’s constant reminder to the reader that she’s an ex-trophy wife. After several mentions, the information became redundant. It’s established early on that she’s lived off her husband’s money and is established as a young, beautiful wife worthy of envy. However, this is a very small issue that doesn’t hamper the overall enjoyment of the story. Once the reader settles in and falls in love with Chase, who is absolutely swoon-worthy, it’s impossible to think about anything else. The writing is sharp, the dialogue is witty, and the pace is perfect.

A definite must read for romance readers who love cowboys, be sure not to miss Tall, Dark, and Cowboy.

His life-threatening mission is to save the beautiful, brilliant astrobiologist Rebecca Burns from ruthless villain Adam Rain. But their immutable mutual attraction threatens to put them in the path of death… or worse…

Once you start this book, you won’t want to put it down.

I loved Lisa Renee Jones’ Harlequin Blaze books. When I got the chance to read this book, I jumped. I’m glad I did. Ms. Jones’ writing flows and buoys the reader from scene to scene. I needed to know what was going to happen next and how it would work out. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, Ms. Jones threw me a curve ball that completely worked for the story. I stayed up way too late and read furiously. It was worth it!

The plot is deliciously layered and complicated. This isn’t the kind of book you’d put down and walk away from. Why? Coming back, you’d need to do some heavy re-reading. Rebecca is a sweet character. An astrobiologist, she’s darned smart. She’s also got a deadly disease–cancer. Readers can relate to her struggle. She wants to be well, but she wants to help people. And then there’s the slight distraction of Sterling. I’m telling you, if I had a Sterling of my own to save me…I’d jump on him. Yeah, he’s that super sexy, soldier, can kick your butt type of guy I can’t get enough of. The motivations in the book aren’t always disclosed right away and it works so well. When her sister is left at the altar, Zoe Balis takes the bride’s unused ticket for the honeymoon cruise. But she didn’t count on sharing a cabin with the man who broke her heart ten years ago!

Army medic Nate Hyatt never told Zoe the real reason he dumped her. And he never stopped dreaming about the girl he left behind. Could this voyage be his chance to fix the worst mistake he ever made?

Once aboard, Zoe and Nate team up on an island-hopping treasure hunt. The stakes grow higher with each of Zoe’s mysterious brushes with death. They race to discover why she’s a target and who’s behind it.

Zoe’s never gotten over her first love. Can Nate breach her defenses and suture her broken heart? Grab a deck chair and see if they survive the stormy relationship seas as they cruise toward love!

You can let go of the past, but what happens when the past doesn’t let go of you? Zoe Balis doesn’t have much of a chance to fully let go of the heartbreak her first love caused her all those years ago. Wherever she goes, there’s a constant reminder that Nate Hyatt stood her up at prom. Why does everyone have to bring up what happened all the time?

And now, Zoe has to face Nate. At her sister’s wedding. Or, almost wedding. What a tense moment when Nate is the one to break the news to the bride and surrounding family about the groom’s cold feet. Talk about awkward! Zoe already hates him, and then he has to be the bearer of bad news? I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes at that moment.

Then it only gets better from there! The two are stuck sharing a cabin on a cruise meant for the honeymooners! More tension! Ms. Barth kicks it up a notch as the storyline progresses. Let the fun begin, right? Fun…what fun? Not in Nate’s eyes, and certainly not in Zoe’s. The situation is disastrous!

Cruising Toward Love doesn’t have just one conflicted couple, but two. Along for the ride on the cruise is a crew member, Reed, and a passenger named Callie. She doesn’t flaunt the fact that she’s rich, but she doesn’t care who knows it. Zoe and Callie meet up on the ship, while Nate and Reed hit it off, and often times in the book the four characters are doing activities together aboard the ship. Callie and Reed know the story between Zoe and Nate, or at least, know one person’s side of it. I love that this book has a second romance within it. Ms. Barth creates characters that are real. Readers can relate to them, good and bad.

I love how the cruise brings Zoe and Nate together. The author does a wonderful job in keeping the conflict active, but not overdone. Their problems take time to resolve, and though Zoe was snappish through the first part of the book, it didn’t stick the whole time. She allowed herself to be open and friendly with Nate after while, even before things got better for the two.

Even though Zoe’s sister was only in the beginning part of the story, her character remained in my mind, and I’m hoping that sometime in the future she gets her own happily ever after. She deserves it.

There’s a bit of a suspenseful sub plot in the story. It’s not the main focus of the book, but it does add a little extra intrigue. I enjoyed this fun, witty, and romantic novel. Readers, if you enjoy a story with a reunited couple, then cruise towards your nearest online outlet and get yourself a copy of this book!

A dragon’s fate will seal their love…or destroy their future.

When Kavin Hunter appears on her doorstep to recruit her into the king’s guard, Saraphina Raven knows her secret—an unwanted telepathic ability—has caught the attention of the king. If she refuses to use her gift to discover who’s plotting against the throne, her last link to her royal heritage will be forcibly stripped away. It’s a threat that’s guaranteed to work. She’d do anything, even help the king that deserted her family, to preserve the only connection to her past.

It’s a past Kavin is all too familiar with. Once upon a time, his brother was betrothed to Saraphina, until the raid that destroyed her family. Now Kavin struggles with his own part in the mess her life has become. And a growing connection made stronger by the power of his healing touch. Though his loyalty lies with the king, Saraphina is becoming the woman of his heart. And nothing, not even a dragon in disguise, will stand in the way of their love.

Ravenborne has everything I look for in a book: strong, likeable, honorable characters; compelling story line; and heart pounding romance based on mutual respect and love instead of mere physical attraction. It also has hidden agendas, good-guys who might be bad-guys, bad-guys who might be good-guys, characters whose loyalty is in question until the very end, snappy dialogue, and a very interesting and believable alternate reality. Oh…and it has dragons.

It even starts out well. Normally, I dislike prologues, but this prologue was everything a prologue should be—captivating and necessary. It’s a claim not many prologues can make. It made me want to know more about the world Ravenborne is set in. Melatonin supplements if you are over 55 buy tadalafil in australia years of age. I liked Sara from the start. She’s a realist who faces adversity, learns what she can and moves on without unnecessary whining. From princess to servant, she’s a strong woman who refuses to use her newly developed gift of telepathy for mental intrusion–mind rape. She blocks others thoughts as much as possible out of respect for individual privacy. Her strong moral standards combined with human emotions and frailties make Sara a real person. She’s someone I’d like as a friend.

Kavin Hunter is the perfect strong dedicated soldier. He’s alternately authoritarian and considerate. He’s an honorable guy with real guy strengths and real guy flaws. It’s easy to see how Sara falls for him. His high levels of loyalty and honor are also the characteristics that cause him the most personal angst. I love it when a character’s strengths are also his weaknesses.

Ravenborne is the novel I was hoping Chandra Ryan would write when I reviewed her short story Dragonborne. Thank you, Ms. Ryan! More please.

They are called Feral Warriors—an elite band of immortals who can change shape at will. Sworn to rid the world of evil, consumed by sorcery and seduction, their wild natures are primed for release . . .

Shattered by recent nightmarish events, Hawke feels his bond with his animal spirit weakening—and once it breaks, he’s finished. The arrival of Faith sends his life spinning even further out of control, for although she delights him and enflames his deepest primal passions, she’s promised to Maxim, the newest Feral Warrior.

Faith is drawn to Hawke from the start, but Maxim holds her in his thrall and has secretly bent her to his malevolent will. Though gravely damaged, Hawke is the only one who can end Faith’s slavery and protect the Feral Warriors from Maxim’s evil designs. But first they both must embrace the wild . . . and surrender body and soul to a forbidden, all-consuming ecstasy.

Turn on all the lights, cuddle your pillow and hunker down with this dark and meaty story that will make your heart race and your mind scream. It doesn’t sound romantic but the hero and heroine have to battle such tremendous odds, the romance is in watching their love conquering all, despite the obstacles.

Ms. Palmer has established a reputation with the Feral Warriors series that not only includes a satisfying happily ever after, but graphic and horrendous descriptions that sear the senses and helps a reader identify with the horrors the main characters have to fight against. Ecstasy Untamed continues that tradition.

If a reader is a fan, then they’ll remember that Hawke was caught in a spirit trap in Rapture Untamed,. He didn’t escape unscathed and his issues that were hinted at in Hunger Untamed are brought to fruition in Ecstasy Untamed. For a first time reader jumping into the adventure, this book has no problems being a standalone. One thing the author has shown is a skill in recapping the vital parts of past stories that are relevant to the current tale without it ever being an info-dump. A reader will understand in essence, what happened to Hawke and what is happening now.

One thing a new reader cannot know is who Hookeye was. He was the bad guy in the previous book that was responsible for Hawke getting trapped in that spiritual wormhole in the first place. He was casting poisonous spells to suck them all into that sensory deprived space that tears the spirit animal out of the man. What this story does is reveal what the real agenda was and it’s both horrifying and exciting.

Ms. Palmer totally set me up. I was all excited when the new guys started showing up because the evil dude that is causing all the problems is getting smarter and smarter minions. The stakes are sky-high and every ally is needed. It’s more than the endorphins – it’s about feeling good but one need to understand that from uk viagra there are ways to increase your sex drive. Occupational Therapists can also become licensed as a Licensed Occupational buy viagra line therapist. Sex is something which requires more focus than mere lowest price for tadalafil stamina. There are hints that things are not as they should be when the heroine, Faith, is prominently on scene. And that is where having all the lights on is a good idea. Maxim, one of the new Ferals, isn’t what he seems. What he reveals and what he does made me sick. I was furious and helpless all at the same time. By the time Ms. Palmer revealed this component of the conflict, I was completely invested in Faith and Hawke. I understood where the author was going to be heading but in no way could I have anticipated how I’d be getting there. My emotions were affected quite effectively.

The author also walked a fine line with keeping all the secondary characters on board. I enjoyed that aspect because of the sense of community and storyline continuation but she also was able to balance their presence to ensure that the relationship between Hawke and Faith was never diluted nor was my attention distracted. There was never any doubt that everything and anything that is said or done or described, happens to enhance the plot, and that the action and conflict revolved around the two main protagonists as it should.

This wasn’t an easy book for me to read. It’s dark, action filled, suspenseful and heroic. It didn’t leave me feeling down because the romance between Hawke and Faith is spectacular. So much wonderful sensual build-up, so much sharing of pain, of hope and character growth — there is not one aspect the author left untapped.

I strongly support the theme of ‘hope’ that I found in this story. What the eventual outcome of the evil plot is, the author is leading me on through each book as I make my way where she wants to lead before I can find out. One thing I do see is the evil machinations this time around having a good chance of boomeranging on the bad guys, giving the Feral warriors something they’ve not had for centuries. Just the thought of that possibility is enough to hook me with enthusiastic curiosity for the next installment. What is even better is the hint that another warrior is about to find true love and I knew it was coming. I knew it! This book confirmed it and it’s going to be so exciting. I’m sure it’s also going to be equally dark and challenging to read. The thing I’m almost afraid to ask Ms. Palmer is: “What dastardly conflict is she going to come up with to curl my hair this time?”

Ecstasy Untamed continues Ms. Palmer’s hair raising storytelling tradition of a well told romantic suspense between two strong individuals who bring out the best in each other in order to fight the worst that evil throws at them. I found it gripping, entertaining and a thrill ride from beginning to end. There is no way a reader can be unaffected by the drama and suspense that try to thwart Hawke and Faith’s happily ever after. It has a wonderful ending and it left me completely satisfied. This is a must read.

A sparkling prize, the beautiful Mellusine of Ulle is awarded to the bastard-born Bruno of Jernaeve as a spoil of war. Bruno vows to tame the rebellious spirit of the captive beauty&nash; but ultimately surrenders to her charms. Born of different worlds, joined in the flames of passion and intrigue, they find new strength in each other’s arms…and a burning love that defies all eternity.

Fires of Winter is set in the 12th century, and starts with the story of the charming hero, Bruno, as a child. He does some amazing things when only a boy, including taking care of his orphaned baby half-sister. The sibling love between them is touching. His sister is the legitimate daughter of a lord while Bruno is a bastard. Despite this, he works hard and moves up in the world to become a knight who works closely with the king, Stephen.

Politics play a big role in this book and take up much of the story. They are tightly woven into the plot. At this time in history, the daughter of the late king is fighting her cousin, the current king, for the right to the throne. The author wrote the historical details as if she had seen a diary of people who lived through it. It was very convincing.

The hero, Melusine, turns out to be a good match for Bruno. She loses her entire family and temporarily goes mad. This is quite unexpected in an historical romance, but it¹s handled well. She fights her growing love for her husband because everyone she loves dies.

Something that makes this different from the average romance is an occasional action by the hero that is normally taboo in this genre. They appear that how buy online cialis works – inflating claret breeze to sex organs, abundant for men – has a miniscule aftereffect on the representations of the added greed and lies of others who supported and promoted her actions; she said, “If I knew how easy it is to buy houses, I would have done it years ago.” But greed, instant gratification and even selfishness are never. For example, the marriage is forced on Melusine at the king’s and queen’s insistence, and on the wedding night, the king insists that Bruno make her his wife in full and Melusine is not exactly a willing participant.

Also, another thing is slightly disturbing. In the beginning of their marriage, Bruno goes to a prostitute to satisfy his urges. He doesn’t want to force his wife, feeling terrible about the wedding night. Near the end of the book, Bruno tells Melusine that he hadn’t touched another woman since he’d been with her. Strangely, this didn’t come across as a lie. It felt more like he had forgotten that night long before with a hired woman.

Here’s another interesting and unusual thing: Bruno doesn’t find Melusine attractive at first, and she thought him handsome but not her type (after she comes back from temporary madness). The writing style is straight to the point, not flowery. The earthy feel of it fits the medieval world well.

Also, despite a couple of disturbing things about Bruno’s actions, he comes across as thoroughly likeable. Interestingly, he displays a kind of innocence in his thoughts and actions as he falls in love with his wife. It’s refreshing for a book set in this time period to have a working man as a hero as well. He’s not rich. His closeness to the king adds interest to a story filled with political intrigue. For fans of medieval romance who are looking for something a little different, this would be a great story to check out. The author knows her stuff.

The woman who’d driven him to the brink of insanity with her cool-eyed interrogation and her hot-blooded sensuality.

Was it Ray…whose eyes condemned her soul even as his hands ignited her body? Or was another evil force at work? But nothing could stop Layla from remembering what she was…and what her evil creator had planned for her and her soldier lover….

Who would ever have believed that the path of vengeance would lead to the discovery of love? A man born and recreated and a woman created yet reborn join together to find that which others denied them. Dark Sins and Desert Sands ends up being a powerful and completely entertaining tale that kept this reader on the edge of her seat.

I was fascinated with the heroine that Ms. Draven created. It seems she explored the possible question of, “what kind of person would I be if I didn’t have all the baggage from my past?” Layla, the heroine, didn’t purposely pursue the answers to that question. How and why she did is intimately mixed up with the villain of the book.

Layla is a nice person. Too nice. By that I mean she is bland – not forceful or colorful. She’s numb to life and yet she knows there’s something out of reach, something missing and it’s driving her nuts that she can’t figure it out. She does the best that she can because she has a good heart. And after reading the book, it totally makes sense. Inside, the heroine really is a decent and giving person who longs for the dream of love, home and kids. A reader is in for a surprise when they find out what Layla is actually capable of. She ends up being a very sympathetic character and I cheered her on as she tried to thwart the destiny mapped out for her. When the heroine starts putting the pieces together, mixed with the person she was at the beginning of the book, get ready for a treat. She’s a tough cookie and will fight for what is important, no matter what. The person who inspired that keen sense of loyalty is the yummy hero, Ray.

Ray is an awesome character. He’s a military guy with a great record – to a point. His sense of duty, honor and integrity would normally be great qualities and they are. But they can and were used against him. He experienced horrible terrible things. Ms. Draven described a scene that would make anyone puke, not just the hero. And, it set him on a path totally different from his original goal, much to my delight.

The culprit and villain that created the chaos and horror that dogged the steps of Layla and Ray throughout the book is, Seth. The author was creative and amazing in what she did with him. I felt I should hate his character: certainly I was given enough ammunition to do so. But I couldn’t. In reality, he was as dysfunctional with relationships as a guy could be. He was so set in his ways; he had become arrogant, lofty and totally clueless when it came to a real woman. The bad guy also had some weird phobias and twisted views of women in general. He’s so complicated! Because of the author’s brilliant writing, I ended up giggling with diabolical glee when Isabel matched wits with Seth. That’s all I’m going to say about that – wouldn’t want to ruin the fun for readers.

Secondary characters contribute mightily to the plot movement in the book. I enjoyed how the author led me to a false sense of ambiguity about their presence in the story. They were more than they appeared and readers are going to be pleasantly surprised at the roles they play.

The happy ever after brought tears to my eyes. Truly. It was emotionally powerful, poignant and sweet.

Ms. Draven created a wonderful heartfelt final chapter that wowed me and made everything that came before more meaningful and special. It highlighted the fact that all the tragedies in the past paid the dues for the hope and optimism that now embrace Layla and Ray. Totally romantic.

Dark Sins and Desert Sands is a light in the darkness. Ms. Draven delivers a suspenseful emotionally packed romance layered with passion, heat and the power of true love. The story reaches into the depths of its characters and brings them to life, taking readers along for the ride. There’s drama, more twists than a pretzel and plenty of thrills and chills to satisfy readers of romantic suspense. The loving between Ray and Layla is potent and sensual, and their journey of love, though bumpy, is beautiful.

Dark Sins and Desert Sands is great romance. Pick up your own copy and see.

The Mighty Quinns: Riley is a perfect example of a Harlequin Blaze book: gorgeous characters, steamy sex, and sexual attraction that overwhelms the characters and causes them to do things they normally wouldn’t do.

One look at Riley, the hot guy who is supposed to drive her to her vacation rental house, has super-organized, kind of persnickety, schedule-every-minute and budget-every-dime research librarian Nan Galvin chucking her plans and heading to bed with the guy she’s just met.

Riley and Nan’s relationship is fast and furious—a steamy vacation fling. It should fit carefree musician Riley’s personality more than Nan’s, but oddly enough it turns out to be the other way around. I understood Riley’s switch, but never really bought Nan’s.

What this book lacks in realistic character motivation on Nan’s part, it makes up for in sexual chemistry. These two can’t get enough of each other and the book is hot, hot, hot. If you’re looking for a potato chip book–quick and spicy; not quality calories but still very satisfying–The Mighty Quinns: Riley is one to choose.
