The Duke of Somervale’s sister’s wedding brings together three couples who must sort themselves out to avoid scandal. The handsome Duke persuades Lady Reyne to pretend to be his fiancée so he can avoid the matchmakers but falls in love with her anyway. Lady Reyne’s friend Kate discovers how much she has in common with adventurer Andrew Carlisle, and Lady Penelope Townsend discovers new love with her estranged husband.

A young woman in need of a future, a widow hiding from her past and a Lady who is a wife in name only: All three will have to prove they have the courage to take their destinies in hand. Their reward will be worth far more than silver and gold but the risk to their hearts may be just as pricey.

If a theme could be set for the first trilogy by Leigh Michaels, Just One Season in London, it would be “Sacrifice”. In this new trio of stories that overlap within themselves in The Wedding Affair, the theme is clearly “Courage”.

Lady Olivia Reyne has a past that is threatening to destroy any future she might build for herself and her daughter. When the charming and charismatic Simon, Duke of Somervale persuades her to help him avoid a gaggle of bridesmaids, she convinces herself that it will be a short term affair with no lasting effects on her heart. Love is never that convenient or obedient.

Kate Blakely has a very limited window in which to set the course for her future. She has the opportunity to choose the easy, staid and secure way or she can put herself in the path of someone who will whisk her away from the “small town vicar’s daughter” life and onto an adventure. Kate is concentrating so hard on making the best decision she almost doesn’t notice the one man who is everything she ever wanted and wants to give her everything she needs.

The third arc of this book involves the Lady Penelope Townsend. Her story really touched my heart because she appears to have everything on the outside but behind closed doors she missing the one thing her father’s money couldn’t buy. Michael Irwig. ‘Because it is an early statement, further investigation will become necessary on the side effects viagra tonysplate.com ramifications of finasteride in men include erectile dysfunction, decreased sex drive including decreased libido, and testicular pains. The combination can also result in alcohol poisoning that tadalafil soft tablets can be fatal. This has its basis levitra de prescription in the genetic part. Love. I liked Penelope’s story best because she’s married but obviously in name only and she decides that she wants more than a roommate, she want a husband. I initially got the impression that Penelope was timid and a bit brow beat by her father and the ladies maid he chose for her. Thankfully, that meekness doesn’t last and Penelope comes out of her shell to prove she’s strong enough to stand beside her husband rather than in his shadow.

If you read Just One Season in London, you know the stories transition swiftly and smoothly between one another. There is some head hopping but it lends more detail to a scene rather than making it confusing. Ms. Michaels does a fabulous job of creating characters that have you cheering for their HEA as well as enjoying the journey. Her writing style is flawless for the period and the sensual scenes are hot enough to singe your fingers.

I understand there is to be one more book in the triad story series. I’m looking forward to seeing how Ms. Michaels takes a theme and weaves it into the lives of so many unique and fantastic characters. They draw you in, they make you fall in love, and you won’t want to put it down!

Just another dull debutante?

From boxing at Jackson’s to dancing starry-eyed society belles around London’s ballrooms, Beldon Stratten is the perfect English gentleman. And he’s looking for a perfectly bland, respectable wife.

Appearances can be deceiving…

Exotic Lilya Stefanov is anything but bland. Beldon is intrigued to see that the ragamuffin girl he once knew has matured into an elegant lady, poised and polite!

But beneath the mysterious beauty’s evening gowns and polished etiquette lies a dangerous secret—and a scandalous sensuality…

A secret life with a scandalous destiny. A strong-minded, courageous woman, sworn to uphold her family’s lifelong mission. And the man who can give her the one thing she never believed she could have. Bronwyn Scott’s Secret Life of a Scandalous Debutante takes these delicious ingredients and creates a mouth-watering romance to savor on a cool autumn night.

At the heart of the novel is the chemistry between Belton Stratten and Lilya Stefanov. Neither seeks romance with the other, yet they are inevitably drawn to one another despite circumstances that suggest disaster will be the outcome of such a liaison. The two are very much alike—decisive, honorable, passionate—filled with a sense of duty to family. These shared traits become apparent early on, giving the reader impetus to root for the couple who are obviously “made for each other.” Lilya’s character is particularly well drawn as womanly in a strength yet not easily swayed from her duty. She is both of her time period yet with a modern sensibility of purpose beyond the personal.

I also especially liked the way Ms. Scott handled the political elements of her story. The external conflict, the Greek bid for independence during the early 19th century, creates Lilya’s major motivation and ensuing internal conflict, leading to her rejection of romance. While estrogens or other treatments can safeguard bone in men, gynecomastia works to make estrogens unappealing, and other prescription medications can also be unsuitable for some patients. levitra de prescription But this study is yet to be buying generic cialis conducted on a large scale. This feature is not only unique http://deeprootsmag.org/2012/10/12/cause-and-effect/ buying viagra in india in itself, but also fantastic. Yet the politics and intrigue in no way overshadowed the romantic elements of the story. The novel seemed nicely positioned in the time period and I applaud the use of this seemingly little known historical event as the catalyst for her story.

Unfortunately, a major drawback in the novel for me was the lack of judicious editing. Even if I did not have knowledge of the elements editors seek to correct, I would wonder at some of the errors I found in the book. Words and names are repeated excessively within paragraphs, the worst offender being a character’s name repeated three times in one paragraph. And several inconsistencies were apparent: a character addressed as “Lady” on one page was called “Miss” on another, the anachronistic use of the word “milquetoast,” and the lack of mention of a corset as Lilya is undressed in a time period in which women would have worn one. These were little things that kept pulling me out of a novel I enjoyed being immersed in. A firm editorial pen could have made my experience even more pleasurable.

Secret Life of a Scandalous Debutante is a wonderful love story, set against the backdrop of political intrigue and treachery. The hero and heroine steadfastly battle for what is right, not just for them, but for the world and its larger canvas. Their selfless devotion shines throughout the novel, bringing all the savory ingredients from a slow simmer to a passionate boil. My hope is that you take the time enjoy the feast.

How far into darkness will he go to reclaim the light?

Melodie McConnell’s night shift couldn’t get any more bizarre. First, a commotion behind the bakery lands her in the arms of a slimy demon. Then she’s swept into hiding by a demon hunter…and discovers she’s been swallowed whole by a world she never knew existed.

In the decade since he inherited a centuries-old family curse, darkness has ruled Blake DeWitt’s life. By day he’s encased in the form of a hideous stone gargoyle. By night, desperation drives him to search for the Witch’s Cabochon, a gem with the power to permanently lift the curse.

He’s seconds away from claiming it when the dying demon transfers it to a human woman whose beautiful body is no match for its wild, darkly sexual power. And whose innocent attempts at seduction he finds hard to resist.

As the demons swarm closer, they find safety in each other’s arms. Until Blake discovers the only key to his freedom…and must face a soul-rending choice.

Tired of the same old paranormal vampire or werewolf? Try a cursed Gargoyle with a heart of gold on for size. How about a really big jewel that causes awfully weird things to happen and a witch who has more secrets than anyone suspects? All that and more awaits readers when they delve into an exciting and unique world created by Ms. Colgan.

Overall, this story is a thrill ride. One thing happens after another and I never knew which way it was going to go. The heroine gets freaky, the hero has a tail and the demon hunter gets beat up all the time. There are all manner of beasties chasing the heroine and surprises abound. And through it all, a love starts to grow and flourish amidst all the chaos and uncertainty. The flashbacks were an interesting touch because I got to see how it all started. The most amazing thing is how it showed a man whose heart was blackened by prejudice and fear and self-righteous murderous intent and followed him as he changed through the years to be a man that ultimately earned forgiveness. He was a pitiful character and towards the end, I actually did feel sorry for him. That’s a testimony to the skill of the author. If Ms. Colgan hadn’t done such a good job, I wouldn’t have cared. So that was a solid piece of writing.

Another thing that I completely enjoyed was Melodie and her dramatic statements. “Oh,no! I’m this or that” or “Oh, no! I must be one of these!” Every time she made these dire announcements I giggled and laughed. I thought she was adorable. My absolute favorite line comes from the beginning of the book. It tickled my funny bone so completely that I had to re-read it a few times. And I snickered at every one. “Melodie McConnell knew it was going to be a bad night when the antlers fell off her moose.” Right then, I was hooked. I had to read the rest of the book. And I did, all the way to the end, in one sitting. I wasn’t disappointed. Ms. Colgan created a heroine that is alternately, spunky, funny, steadfast and loyal. She handled hysteria well and when the effects of the magical influence was upon her, I enjoyed how the author wrote such a distinct personality difference to denote the before and after. But Sildenafil citrate can cure all types of impotence generic soft cialis cured. These health problems are great concern as they have seriously bad influence on male order viagra online sexual health. Intake of Asian ginseng as per the correct dosage generic levitra usa for you depending on your response to the therapy, medical conditions and other medications taken by you. Through it all, however, was Melodie’s growing fascination with all things Blake.

Blake is the hero and he’s has a lot going for him and against him. The biggest negative is that he turns to stone when the sun comes up. Other than that, he’s a regular guy. He is earnest, tender and hubba hubba on a Harley Davidson. Not to mention, he knows how to use a sword to good effect. At first, he’s all business but slowly I saw him fall in love. I enjoyed watching how he grew as a character, ultimately putting Melodie before himself. There is no greater testament to love than a man being selfless for his woman. It’s a very suspenseful and dramatic scene when it all plays out. I respected him and I worried for him. Blake is a tortured hero with no end to his suffering in sight. The author had so many twists and turns up her sleeve, at one point I wasn’t sure it was going to be even possible to break the curse. That was another intense scene.

Secondary characters are few but extremely important and influential. Calypso and Palmer are great contributors to the suspense and action in the story. At one point, I thought they both were bad, then I wasn’t sure, and then I thought they were good. It was a bizarre roller coaster that the author put me through. Calypso and Palmer provided intense interest and were another reason that kept me invested in reading this book. They didn’t undermine the hero and heroine at all. In fact, they were necessary to the cataclysmic ending. Very intense.

There isn’t a true villain per se. It’s the curse and the domino affect it had over the centuries that is coming to a head at the point this book starts. The drama of running against the clock, of trying to survive and outwit the curse was enough of a conflict to carry the story without adding an actual bad guy. I consider that unique and very interesting.

Although the title claims ‘interview’, it was misleading. I equate that with interactions with the press and that doesn’t happen at all. Maybe seduction of a gargoyle might have been a better fit because when Blake and Melodie, the real Melodie, get together, it’s magic of the best kind.

Interview with a Gargoyle is a super amazing story with fascinating characters and a love between two kindred souls. The details were superb, the editing squeaky clean, and the dialogue brisk, entertaining and insightful to the characters. There is nothing I didn’t like about this book. It’s surprisingly fresh, innovative and just plain fun. There’s a happily ever after for Melodie and Blake but Ms. Colgan has also set the groundwork for another story. I can’t wait to add the next one to my pile of really cool books because this one certainly will be found there.

Their Secrets Will Draw Them Together

As one of England’s most capable mercenaries, Emma Astyn can charm an enemy and brandish a knife with unmatched finesse. Assigned to befriend Dubh Duer, an infamous Scottish rebel, she assumes the guise of innocent damsel Christina Moffat to intercept the writ he’s carrying to a traitorous bishop. But as she gains the dark hero’s confidence and realizes they share a tattered past, compassion—and passion—distract her from the task at hand…

But The Truth May Tear Them Apart

His legendary slaying of English knights has won him the name Dubh Duer, but Sir Patrik Cleary MacGruder is driven by duty and honor, not heroics. Rescuing Christina from the clutches of four such knights is a matter of obligation for the Scot. But there’s something alluring about her fiery spirit, even if he has misgivings about her tragic history. Together, they’ll endure a perilous journey of love and betrayal, and a harrowing fight for their lives…

Traumatic experiences in childhood govern the psyche of both Emma Astyn and Sir Patrik Cleary MacGruder.

Unloved, abused, and alone in late thirteenth century-England, Emma (aka Christine Moffat) has no thought of morals and ethics. Surviving by her wits and cunning, she has become a top mercenary spy for England. If the money is right, she is happy to do an assignment and is not particularly concerned about who might get hurt in the process—that is until she goes to Scotland to gain information and to expose the legendary Dubh Duer (Patrik).

When he “saves” her from English knights, his gentle touch, quiet strength, and promised protection make her deceit taste bitter, but she knows she must do her job if she wants to live. It also improves sexual function and viagra sales on line endurance. Her journey, in this story, from being “a-not-too-likeable” heroine to being a heroine that I cried for, makes Hist Destiny an enthralling tale.

Patrik’s hatred for the English, after he watched them kill his family, drives him to do some despicable things. Some of these things alienates him from the MacGruders, his adoptive family whom he loves as if they were blood kin. If you’ve had the good fortune to read Diana Cosby’s His Captive, His Woman and His Conquestyou’ll remember Patrik and the intriguing, powerful MacGruders from these fascinating tales.

Even though His Destiny is set in one of the most horrific times in the history of England and Scotland, English Emma’s and Scottish Patrik’s hearts and souls connect, refusing to be influenced by politics or ideologies. The unintended love that grows between these two very secretive people is a thing of beauty amongst a lot of ugliness. The love scenes touch the tender, caring spot in the heart that reaches far deeper than just the carnal pleasure, even though that part is breathtaking.

Diana Cosby immerses the reader in the harsh, yet beautiful, almost mystical environment of Scotland—the haunting mist, the bright beauty on a sunny day, and the majestic castle of the MacGruders with its “grandmother’s” room where peace and a bit of magic can be felt. She adds the touches of history to give a fine sense of time and place. But, more especially, she makes the characters so believable as they show their weaknesses, strengths, and what and whom they believe in enough to die for.

His Destiny is a journey back in time that enchants with an awesome love story of two wounded hearts and souls that find redemption and love together. Good reading!

The pleasure of your company is requested at the wedding of Miss Eliza Cynster . . . but not until she’s rescued from a daring abduction by the most unexpected of heroes!

Brazenly kidnapped from her sister Heather’s engagement ball, Eliza Cynster is spirited north to Edinburgh. Desperate and determined to escape, she seizes upon the first possible champion who happens along— gentleman scholar Jeremy Carling.

Villains and rescues are a far cry from Jeremy’s expertise, yet he cannot abandon a damsel in distress. But danger lurks and hurdles abound in their race to escape the mysterious laird, until a final confrontation on a windswept cliff reveals what their future life could hold— if both are bold enough to capture and own the unexpected love they now share.

“She might be the quiet one: that didn’t mean she was meek.”

The mysterious laird who had Heather Cynster kidnapped, in Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue, has managed the unthinkable; he hired professionals who have successfully kidnapped another Cynster sister.

Eliza Cynster is the middle daughter of Lord Martin and Lady Cecilia Cynster. She is typically considered “the quiet one”. So much so, she even believes it herself most of the time. When situation and necessity intervene, Eliza will learn she has as plenty of strength and determination to do what must be done with the help of her unlikely hero.

Scholarly gentleman, Jeremy Carling, may not be society’s idea of a dashing hero but he has the heart of one. When it becomes clear to him that Eliza will need his help to escape he doesn’t hesitate.

The kidnapping and harrowing rescue are the catalyst that bring Jeremy and Eliza together but it’s their chemistry and the search for someone to fill the void in their lives that makes this an instant classic among romances. The honestly fun part of this book, for me, was hearing both Eliza and Jeremy describe their ideal candidates. They are both thoughtful and detailed in their descriptions and you know that they truly believe they know exactly the kind of person that would be just perfect. Their very literal journey to their HEA is exciting, sensual and totally romantic. Ms. Lauren’s writing is incredibly vivid. Readers will join Eliza and Jeremy every step of their adventure and celebrate in their homecoming.

The elusive Scottish laird is always just on the outskirts watching the action and though his own happiness depends on the success of stealing one of the Cynster sister’s he soon realizes that another sister has slipped through his fingers. I think it’s pretty safe to say he won’t give up and I’m betting Angelica’s story is going to be the wildest ride yet.

If you missed the exciting adventure that started this amazing trilogy it’s not too late to go back and read Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue. You won’t have to have read it to enjoy Eliza and Jeremy’s story but it does lend some history to the novel. Either way, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of In Pursuit of Eliza Cynster. In all her time as premier tour manager to Australia’s stars, Charli Chambers has never had someone as infuriating—or delectable!—as successful businessman Luca Petrelli along for the ride. He might always be in the gossip columns, but there’s no way she’s letting him claim VIP status!

But Luca’s wicked eyes are just too tempting. In spite of herself, Charli’s soon attending after-parties—just for two. She wants to believe this is one duet that’s about to go platinum, but in spite of Luca being unprintably good in bed, can she ever get close enough to the real Luca for their fling to be more than just a one-hit wonder?

Set in Australia, this book reminds me of the old Mills and Boon Romances. Because of this, I had a lovely wave of nostalgia while reading this book. Having said that, please, be assured it is definitely a contemporary novel, and is completely set in the here and now.

One of the threads that caused the nostalgia was the constant verbal antagonism and misconceptions between the hero and the heroine. The near constant bickering was in direct contrast to the heat produced when they finally consummated their physical relationship.

I also enjoyed the fact that the story was set in Australia. However, not viagra sildenafil 100mg all penis pills seem to be created equal. This was not a main focus in the story, but rather, it just happened to be set there. There were some nice historical/descriptive sections when Charli was investigating places for Storm to take his son, or actually being in those places. It was a nice addition to the tension and bickering described in the rest of the story.

Luca, our hero, seems like many – sure of his dominance, and his “rightness”, and out to get what he wants. And Charli, while being a strong, independent woman, is grounded in rejection and self-doubt.

Luca’s Grandfather (and Charli’s boss) plays a pivotal role in their relationship. He’s kind of the “tie” that gift-wraps their relationship.

Nothing new, nothing ingenious about this story. But a nice read, and one that will put a smile on your face!

With her father’s blessing, she weds the handsome warrior to end the war between Florence’s two powerful families. But headstrong Bianca vows to teach her husband that loyalty cannot be bought…not even by seduction.

Cristiano, a well-known warrior with the wealth of a king, could have any woman he desires. But for the sake of peace he ends up with a defiant bride who awakens his deepest passion. Her vengeful scheming puts them both in peril, but is he prepared to sacrifice his life to safeguard the woman who has stolen his heart?

Mistrust, family loyalty versus spousal loyalty and Cristiano’s deep-seated fear wreak havoc on a marriage.

The gorgeous, wealthy, powerful warrior Cristiano de Medici wants Bianca with the long blonde hair and crystal blue eyes even though she is of the Albizzi family that strives to take political power from the Medici family in the fifteenth century city-state of Florence.

Cristiano tells himself that even though he never planned to marry, he will, to perhaps bring the two families to some kind of peaceful agreement if the marries Bianca. Yet, in truth, he cannot stop thinking about the slender blonde who speaks her mind with courage, and had a stubborn streak a mile wide.

Bianca, while telling herself she’ll marry to secure her immediate family’s well being, truly finds Cristiano breathtaking. True, his size and fierce look intimidate some, but to her he seems sculpted by God’s own hand. Her sister Francisca informs her that, according to gossip, he is reputed to be a great and gentle lover.

Ms. Corti-Petska develops the secondary characters with such economic skill that they play their roles in realistic fashion keeping emotions high but staying in the background as the mesmerizing love of Cristiano and Bianca struggles along under an oppressive load. She invites one to luxuriate in the sights and scents of flowers: lilies, roses, gladioli, violets, etc. that enhance the Palazzo Ghilberti and enchants with Cristiano’s private garden, and she takes one’s breath away with the beauty of the palazzo. Exquisite descriptions are a feast for the senses

From time to time, the imagery used in love scenes and highly emotional scenes adds a poignancy and subtly that captures the imagination and thrills a romance reader’s heart. Also, the title is so fitting. Bianca is Cristiano’s “precious lily” and he, like a falcon, strikes swiftly and fiercely when he spots his prey. How these two move from “carnal pleasure” to a love that reaches the heart and soul makes GOOD reading.

To save her boss and win her man, she’s got to out run a mobster, out wit the YIFFS at a sex-fetish convention, and out think an ex-wife—and she’s got to do it all without breaking an arm or inadvertently hitting anyone with pepper spray…it’s all got Binda hoping that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Natasha Deen just shot herself into the stratosphere. This book was outrageously funny and out of this world!

If someone asked me earlier today to name my favorite romantic comedy author…well let’s just say the person that comes to mind wasn’t Natasha Deen. While I still love my “other” author, I now have a new addition to the club. I was giggling after the first paragraph, burst out laughing by the second and I was taking notes on my Kindle by the end of the very first page. I knew right then this was going to be a keeper and boy was I right!

Binda, Binda, Binda. This girl is a handful. Oh, she has an overabundent amount of spunk, should not be let out of the house without a warning label, and really truly has a food fetish. My first note that I mentioned was her description on how stupid she was for getting involved with her current crisis, “Gloriously stupid. The kind of stupid that poets wrote about—the kind of stuff that would be legend on the internet, garner me a billion hits on the uploaded video, and make my name into an active verb—“Whoa, dude, you totally pulled a ‘Binda’!”

I can’t help it … I have to share another quote. I highlighted this so fast my Kindle didn’t know what to do. Two of my personal favorite terms to describe a good looking man are delish and yummy. Natasha has just been awarded the crown for her description of Corin: Where Nigel resembled a banana with glasses, his brother looked like the sexiest, tangiest, best tasting thing in the grove—the kind of fruit that’s firm and meaty, leaves juice running down your chin and makes your mouth water just to look at it. If that description doesn’t describe a gorgeous man, I don’t know what does.

Binda seeks out Corin’s assistance to find her missing boss, Nigel. She knows deep down he is in danger, but Corin is reluctant to believe her. Numerous men have discovered it to be a drug. generic cialis cipla One http://greyandgrey.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Heroes-Gasping-at-9-11-Asthma-Rate-NY-Post-Aug-2007.pdf pharmacy online viagra of the reasons for premature ejaculation is over excitation on seeing a beautiful female or spending more time in front of a beautiful woman. They show quick and long effects on the central nervous best price for cialis system (CNS), alcohol is a depressant of the nervous system, which really effect the sexual power in both men and women. Erectile dysfunction is an embarrassing and frustrating conditions that a man can face viagra generika 50mg and it has ruined many relationships. His relationship with his brother is estranged to put it kindly. Her perseverance pays off and so begins their less than twenty-four hour whirlwind adventure. If only he’d known that he should have left the house decked out in Kevlar and wearing a cup.

If I’ve sold you on this book, let me just say this: When you start reading, lock your door, turn off the phone and give dire warnings to friends and family not to interrupt you. You are going to have an outrageously good time and you will not want to be disturbed. Right from the start I was hooked.

Ms. Deen penned a hilarious romp with non-stop action. I never wanted it to end, but I had to come up for air. She had me gasping and rolling in laughter. What Happens in Vegas is a wonderful detour from life, jump in feet first. You won’t be sorry. There is one thing I hope Ms. Deen does that my other author did, she continued to write novels of her accident prone heroine. I would really enjoy visiting Binda again and again.

I’m going to leave you with one last tidbit from the book. I have to admit I laughed so hard during this scene it took me over ten minutes to read it, because I was crying. You only get the summary of the event, but it just points out the amount of hilarious fun waiting for you between the pages: I had tripped over my feet, head-butted a gangster in the crotch, got a mouthful of criminal penis, and the man thought I was brilliant. If that wasn’t a sign we were meant to be together, fornicating and discovering the various uses for honey and warmed chocolate, then I didn’t know what was.
