What happens when the dream is over and reality sets in?

When Emma Anderson meets and falls in love with the man from her dreams–the deep-dimpled and incredibly gorgeous Brandon Fisher–she wasn’t expecting her heart to be broken by him and his complicated life. But despite Brandon’s baggage, the inextricable pull Emma and Brandon feel for one another seems strong enough to keep them together.
This can lead to more than just embarrassment as they make choices that are levitra pharmacy out of character for them. Just when Emma thinks she can have a happily-ever-after with Brandon, a dark secret from her past threatens Emma’s chances at true happiness with Brandon–a secret so dark and hidden that even her best friends don’t know about it.

Will Emma and Brandon’s love be strong enough to withstand the external factors that seem to pull them apart, or will Emma’s dream man be nothing but just that–a dream?

I really enjoyed the conclusion of Emma and Brandon’s story. What seemed like insurmountable odds have been resolved.

I could not help myself while I was reading this story… I hated Desiree. Sorry, I know this is a very strong feeling … not necessarily appropriate for fictional characters, but I could not help myself. This woman was manipulative and capable of doing everything in her power to accomplish what she wanted. I had a feeling about her from book #1 that she would be this bad. I just did not know how far she was willing to go to break up Emma and Brandon’s relationship.

Emma and Brandon’s love affair is gentle, emotional, sensitive, and yes…the type that romance novels are made of. I am glad Brandon hung in there as well as Emma. Great story, great read, very enjoyable!

Firefighter Patrick “Psycho” Callahan earns his nickname every day. Fast, fit, and a furious worker, he thrives on the danger which helps him forget a near-tragedy that changed his life forever. But when his off-duty carousing gets out of hand, Patrick is sent back to Loveless, Nevada, where the wildfire threatening his hometown has nothing on sizzling Dr. Lara Nelson.

Lara would rather be thought of as the physician who returned to Loveless than as the misfit brought up at a hippie New Age commune. But right now she’s focused on her job at hand, patching up injured firemen…until the past hits her in the hard-muscled, blue-eyed form of Patrick Callahan. Now, the embers of their decade-old attraction have ignited into a full-on inferno, as the bad-boy firefighter and the good doctor take a walk on the wild side they’ll never forget.

It may sound trite that a first chapter could grab a reader’s attention so completely that they could not put a book down but that is exactly what happened to me. The author chose to set up a bit of history that showcased the relationship dynamic between the hero, the heroine and the hero’s brother. It showed the hero’s brashness, the burgeoning and unwelcome attraction the heroine was just starting to feel and the how the hero’s brother was the glue that kept the trio together, until circumstances tore them apart. It was a powerful beginning chapter because at the end I simply had to know how they turned out, how they survived and how it formed the people they would become. Is that a great hook or what?

This book series is about sexy bachelor firefighters. Since I’ve read quite a few of these, I can safely say that this is a wonderful standalone read. In fact, Patrick, the hero, has to face his demons and the only way to do that with any effectiveness is to leave the safety of the fire house and fight fires in an environment and place he’d never thought he would – his home town. There is hardly anything being carried over from the previous books in the series except Patrick’s bad-boy attitude and his determination to be the top at whatever he does. Okay, there are a few spotlights on the other guys in the beginning but it’s in passing, like buddies slapping each other on the back as they head off to do whatever they are heading off to do. In a way, that gives a reader that sense of what kind of firefighting family Patrick belongs to, how important it is to him and why going away was a good thing/bad thing for him. And the journey he’s about to embark upon will have him battling the fires of the forest as well as the fires of passion that have been simmering since the day he left home, he just didn’t know it.

The person who will fan those glowing embers is Lara, the heroine. She’s the woman from his past that he never truly forgot. She’s moved on with her life and she’s made something of herself which is quite the accomplishment. Wait until readers get a load of her unusual upbringing. She thinks it’s horrid but in the long run, I think it served a purpose. It made her aware of certain aspects of herself and kept her wary so she didn’t fall prey to unscrupulous men. That was a double edged sword because like a pendulum, she swung the other way and avoided men as much as she could. She was a career woman 100%. That is until fate decided to reintroduce her to her first infatuation, Patrick, in a way and manner that she could not ignore. It was adorable, dramatic, special and pivotal.

Emotions are strong in this book. The author was able to effectively convey whatever Lara and Patrick were feeling and it drew me in too. There was a lot of laughter, consternation, fun, drama, stress, sadness, joy and determination. The determination comes from the angle of Patrick’s family. If a reader enjoys the conflict of a man overcoming the challenges of a dysfunctional family then this bit of drama delivers. Once I was made to understand the family dynamic, it explained so much of why the hero was the way he was. But you know what? He’s a better man than the man he calls Big Dog. I really admired Patrick and felt he was a wonderful, robust hero. The author’s use of descriptive language sure made him sound yummy. The best part, he’s delicious inside and out. Another personality trait that I admired was his capacity to love. That was showcased by how he treated, related and cared for his brother. It was endearing and caused no end of emotional angst, and ultimately, one of the greatest surprises.

Did I mention that this story has humor? It’s in the dialogue. There were so many moments when I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. I enjoyed the repartee between Patrick and Lara and I believe it provided insight into their budding romance. They were good together and it was a pleasure to watch their relationship take off. Speaking of “taking off” – there are some incredibly sexy antics between the two that were wonderfully entertaining and fun. The author wrote those scenes extremely well and are a credit to the story.

Secondary characters are important too. They provide a wonderful flavor to the environment and were great sounding boards for the hero and heroine. At times they even provided comic relief. The only person that surprised me was Patrick’s mom. There’s also one aspect of the book that I felt could have been handled better and that was when I finally got to meet the hero’s brother, Liam. I’m not too sure what could have made it better but it didn’t resonate with me as I’d hoped. The only thing I can think of to say was that it was anticlimactic. It didn’t seem so powerful a moment as I was led to believe it might be. It had its cute moments but I just expected a bigger impact.

How to Tame a Wild Fireman is a classic character driven romance that entertains and enchants on so many levels. I was greatly affected by the conflict because I felt it was tragic. One man’s arrogance and belligerence poisoned a whole family, and for what? It was terrific to see Patrick and Lara rise above it all and to not only fall in love, but to heal, grow and finally have a future that promises to be as exciting and beautiful as a romance reader could wish. This is a book well worth spending time with. As for the ending, it has a happy ever after that’s almost as hot as any fire. Read it and see.

So, I fly my rockin’ curves off to LA for the big Peaches Monroe (that’s me) underwear shoot.

I’m nursing a broken heart from you-know-who, when along comes Keith Raven. Sexy, tanned, and nearly naked. He’s my new co-model, and let me tell you, Keith is the full package with a big package (wink, wink).

My new bestie Mitchell warns me that all male models are walking disasters, but I think Keith’s different. He meditates, for example. And, unlike some people, he doesn’t toy with my affection.

Staying at Keith’s apartment in LA and swimming in his pool is heavenly, not to mention the more intimate details of our Rebound Arrangement. What’s a Rebound Arrangement, you ask? It’s a fixed-length romance and a great way to turn your world upside-down.

Meanwhile, Dalton Deangelo is trying to redeem himself and win me back. He sucks at redemption, but he is charming.

Somebody please stop me, because if I keep slamming my heart like this, it’s going to break.

I could not stop laughing! There I was, in bed reading, 2am … laughing so hard my cats came over to check on my sanity.

Peaches continues to be as honest and disarming as ever. Who knew? Two “shut the front door” insanely handsome men have now chased her. As a plus size woman, I could not help cheering her and her curves. She is so open with her thoughts; I could not help but feel I know this woman. She is a like a kindred soul that has exposed my innermost feelings and is getting away with it.

Being a first time underwear model is very challenging for Peaches. Having to stand around and pose with a counterpart male underwear model is also not an easy feat. The author must have done her research, because we are able to find out how underwear models prepare themselves for the shoots…ahem! That is all I can say. I will never look at Velcro (or marshmallows for that matter) in the same way.

I keep asking the author will Peaches find her real love. No answer yet. This series will be four books. Starlight is just the second book in the series. I cannot wait to read what new mishaps will occur in Peaches life as she searches for her place in the world and seeks love.

Sydney Hunt and her extensive system of spies have worked hard to improve the lives of London’s less fortunate. Hearing of strange occurrences at a nearby orphanage, Sydney is forced to join ranks with a notorious rake known for charming his way into the beds of wives and mistresses across Europe. Ethan deBeau, Lord Danforth, is headed to London to locate a missing child, and soon he and Sydney are entrenched in London’s dark underworld. She harbors more secrets than the Foreign Office and he’ll uncover each one, kiss by kiss

Spies, suspense, child abuse, and secrets on top of secrets keep the reader on alert for something catastrophic to happen that will send both Sydney Hunt’s and Ethan de Beau’s worlds tumbling down.

Set in a time when Napoleon would love to gain control of England, A Lady’s Secret Weapon has spies in the most unsuspecting places for both sides of the struggle. They use all the leverage they can get and tell themselves that the end justifies the means.

Ethan de Beau, one of Nexus’ best spies, is a specialist in seducing women to get information. His weapons are charm, gorgeous looks, an aura of raw power, sensuality, and a devil-may-care attitude. He is an expert in his field but he also secretly rescues prisoners which nobody seems to be aware of. Ethan is a complex character with layers and layers of personal and professional beliefs and hopes that fuel his actions. How Tracey Devlyn creates a hero out of this boudoir spy makes riveting reading.

Tracey Devlyn weaves in a captivating love story as she reveals unconscionable ways children were used and abused at that time in history and how the bitter enmity between France and England made life miserable for so many who could not help themselves but were at the mercy of the powers that be.

Since I read Checkmate, My Lord, I was delighted to get to caught up on some of the characters I met in that novel, especially the widow Mrs. Ashcroft and her irrepressible little seven-year-old daughter Sophie—she’s a darling.

Tracey Devlyn creates an incredible story with a heroine that dislikes nobility, is secretive, independent, shrewd and successful in her dealings along with a hero that is of noble birth, secretive, driven, and a user of women. How she brings these two together to create a happy-ever-after is mind boggling. There is mystery, danger, deception, sensuality, and more that make A Lady’s Secret Weapon great entertainment.

Pepper is so naive and sweet. I felt for her and her inexperience. She is also shy, so taking the steps to find someone who will train her on foreplay and seduction is a courageous step. Enter Reece, totally hot hunk. Their relationship is both emotional and stimulating. At first glance, you might think Reece is a Bad Boy. As the story progresses, I became his fan. After reading this story, I realized the main theme in this book is that what you wish for may not be what is right for you. What Lady Jenny wants for Christmas…

For Christmas, soft-spoken Lady Jenny Windham craves the freedom to pursue her artistic ambitions, though it will mean scandalizing her ducal parents and abandoning all hope of a family of her own. She confides her plans to successful artist Elijah Harrison when he’s commissioned to paint a portrait of her small nephews, because assisting Elijah will bring Jenny that much closer to her heart’s desire—won’t it?

…Will break both their hearts

Elijah Harrison finds in his unlikely assistant not only an inspiring muse and unappreciated talent, but also a lovely and passionate woman. If Elijah supports Jenny’s career, his own professional interests will suffer, but more significantly, he will lose Jenny forever. Both Jenny and Elijah must choose between true love and a lifelong dream.

Reading Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait was like eating one of my favorite cookies. It was good to the very last crumb. The melty, dark chocolate chips of love gave that little ‘high’ and the taste lingered long after the story was read. The events that added interest and gave the story strength are like the crunchy bits of pecan. The oatmeal hints of both rough and easy daily living. It gave the story a texture full of how life was during that time of history in England. The other ingredients, so familiar and blended together to perfection, are the compelling Windham family members. Extra special is the unique flavor of a new character—Elijah, a gorgeous, sensitive, remarkable man who enhances it all. Yummy good!

Jenny is the only unwed sibling in the close-knit Windham family. She doesn’t want to marry. She wants to give full rein to her “artistic inclinations”. Her talents are great, but no one in her family really takes her “little pictures” and dabbling seriously.
Pulmonary hypertension leads to exercise prescription viagra uk appalachianmagazine.com intolerance which can progress to heart failure. When Elijah Harrison, the portrait painter, comes to paint his first juvenile portrait in the home of Jenny’s sister, he and Jenny start an emotional journey together that seems unlikely to last for long. He is world-weary and wants to go home, while Jenny wants to escape from her loving, controlling family and study art in Paris. How they rub along together and how Elijah recognizes Jenny’s underlying need to pursue her art is a delicious story to savor. Her deep-down hurt, her biddable nature, and sensitive, artistic nature make her complex, with many layers to her personality.

Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait stands alone as a wonderful, complete book all by itself; but, if you’ve had the good fortune to have read earlier books of the Windham series, it will enrich Jenny’s story. I felt as if I had been invited to the Christmas open house at the country home of the Duke and Duchess of Moreland. Like a boisterous family reunion, all the exciting, multifaceted Windham siblings along with their families celebrate the holiday together. While Jenny loves them all dearly and they her, she feels lonely and even more determined to take herself away from them. She grieves for her two dead brothers Victor and Bartholomew in a brokenhearted way that is heart wrenching. Her guilt about their deaths reveals so much about her character..

Elijah’s self-imposed estrangement from his family because of a hot-headed, youthful declaration to his father has reached its limit. A seemingly impossible situation about his art and his responsibility of being the next Marquess of Flint has him struggling to find a way to bridge the gap between them. His family is a side story that intrigues. How Jenny fits into his struggle and how he comes to the realization of what is absolutely the most important thing in his life is absorbing reading.

Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait is a celebration of family love and family struggles to stay together while allowing each member of the family to grow in his or her own uniqueness. Ms. Burrowes fits them all together like the pieces of a picture puzzle—each piece is important to make the picture complete AND she does it beautifully.

Grace Burrowes slips in metaphors in just the right places to enrich one’s reading experience. Her subtle humor and her understanding of family dynamics make the story pulsate with life. Best of all, her remarkable ability to create sizzling love scenes that tantalize the senses and set the body and heart racing, while slipping in that caring, nurturing love, makes one believe in a “happy-ever-after” love that endures.

Lady Jenny’s Christmas Portrait is a delicious treat that, while satisfying, leaves one hoping there are more just as good to come.

Part-time waitress and student Brooke Munroe lived what she considered a fairly normal life. The kind of life that was predictable and safe. Until she met Blake Hawke.

Native to the small, Northern California coastal town of Darien, Blake was the kind of guy who seemed to have everything going for him: wealthy background, charming smile, calm confidence, and the good looks to match. The strangest thing Brooke noticed about him upon first inspection was that he genuinely seemed to enjoy the dreary rainy weather. But, as the semester pushes on, Brooke comes to discover that Blake has a secret. A big, ancient secret.

Everything changes when Blake’s little sister is attacked by an enemy no one even knew they had. And Brooke quickly finds herself thrown into the thick of an ages-old family feud that could change her life forever; if it doesn’t kill her first.

How can Brooke and Blake fight an enemy they know absolutely nothing about?

Brooke is a very easy character to like. She’s hard working, polite, independent, and strong. Between her college schedule and her shifts at the diner, she has very little time for friends or romance. Brooke is friendly with everyone, yet I get the impression that she doesn’t make truly close friends easily. She is very guarded. She seems happy enough with her life, and yet I get the impression that she is a little lonely.

Her past boyfriends were nothing but trouble. I have to admit that I was surprised to learn that Brooke normally went for bad boy types. She seems like such a level-headed individual that it was hard for me to picture her dating some of the guys she describes. Though Brooke is immediately attracted to Blake, she isn’t in a hurry to rush into a relationship. Brooke is determined to take things slowly and get to know Blake a bit first.

Blake is definitely a popular young man in his home town. He is smart, good looking, and extremely loyal to his family. Blake radiates a calm and confident vibe most of the time, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that he’s a little shy too. He finds Brooke attractive, but is hesitant to go beyond friendship. He wants to be sure that Brooke is the right woman for him, and I admire his patience. When Brooke finds herself in trouble, Blake opens his heart and home to her in a way that she’s never experienced before. Blake’s gentle spirit is very touching.

I must admit that I found Brooke and Blake’s relationship to be a bit awkward at first. When they were assigned as partners for class, I definitely got more of a friend vibe from them rather than a romantic one, especially over the course of their first few meetings. Ms. Wulf kept saying that Brooke and Blake were attracted to each other, but I didn’t have any sense of real chemistry between them, at least not at first. As Brooke and Blake spent more time together, I gradually began to sense a shift in the dynamic of their connection. Considering the slow start of their relationship, I was surprised at how quickly things became serious between Brooke and Blake once they made the move from friendship to dating. However, I do feel that they are on the path to a well deserved happy ending

I would have liked the secondary characters to be a bit more rounded. Everyone in Deep Waters seems to be either really good or really bad with nothing in between. Consequently the other characters and their interactions didn’t strike me as very realistic. Despite this issue, I enjoyed getting to know Brooke and Blake and am looking forward to having a deeper understanding of the other members of Blake’s family in future installments of the series.

Blake’s secret is pretty easy to figure out and he reveals it to Brooke very early in their relationship. I found his openness surprising because his secret isn’t just his own. His entire family is involved. I am definitely intrigued by Blake’s powers as well as those of the other members in his family. Even more interesting, there is another family lurking in the shadows with powers just as strong. Blake’s family knows nothing about the ancient feud between the two families, but if they want to survive, they are going to have to learn fast.

Deep Waters has a very satisfying ending, but it is also very open ended. I have a lot of unanswered questions about Blake’s family, the enemy they face, and some of the people in their hometown. I plan on picking up the next book in the series very soon in order to learn more. I have a feeling that Ms. Wulf has only just begun to expose the conflict between these supernatural families.

I enjoyed reading Deep Waters. Ms. Wulf has crafted a tale of romance and danger that left me hungry for more. Readers looking for a unique paranormal should give Deep Waters a try.

In a twist of fate, a woman flees purgatory and jumps into a newly vacated body. Now she has a brand-new life as Micah Munroe and a whole lot of questions left unanswered.

Sully knows she’s an imposter because he reaped the soul of the real Micah a week ago. He suspects she might be a misplaced shadow, what he calls vengeful spirits. He’ll stop at nothing to find the truth and send her back to purgatory where she belongs. What he didn’t bargain on was how his body would react to hers or how powerful the white light within her is.

When a powerful shadow and her horde of angry spirits kidnaps Sully’s best friend, they must work together to get him back. Fighting their feelings for each other isn’t half as difficult as fighting the army of shadows bent on starting a war with the living.

Michelle Clay’s novel starts with death and ends with life, and love. For most novels, that is backwards, but most novels do not include Death in their star cast, or Grimms, or Reapers (note the separation here – they are not one and the same).

Micah (aka Kelly) jumps into another body but this is not a typical possession. She grows to love the people in Micah’s life and makes more of it than Micah ever did – fitting in does not seem to be her forte. Her character is steady in its reckless attitude to life, if lacking in detail. However this is explained by the body jump and resulting lack of memory.

Her fellow protagonist, Sully, has a detailed background and solid reasons not to get involved with modern women. He has been hurt before, as all bad boys who are soft on the inside have been. This may be a little stereotypical but the paranormal aspect of the story and his undead state brings new life to this stereotype. And, let’s admit, it’s a stereotype because it’s a draw. Sully is magnetic to a romance reader who wants a happy ending and for both partners to have their lives improved or “fixed”.

The dialogue is short, pointy, full of emotion, character and therefore realistic. Both protagonists are solid characters and have no glaring defects.

The plot itself is fast paced enough to keep a reader interested, though it could be a little faster if needed. The main crisis of the story revolves around a young girl. She grows dark after her death and becomes a power to be reckoned with. As a reaper, Sully must deal with this and, with her new paranormal connections, Micah helps, but Death is an odd presence here. He helps once, because it seems he has to, but refuses to help again – even though this may be a quicker and less dangerous solution. He is posed as a workaholic who feels minutes away from their job throws everything out of whack. With the importance of his job, this is believable…but then he makes a few emotional visits into the world. This confuses me. If he is moved enough to do this, he should be moved enough to help with a crisis.

However, this does not upset the core of the story for me. There is back story after back story to this novel. There is more to be learned in Death’s background, and Micah’s, and this could well be revealed in sequels. Perhaps there, this discrepancy will be addressed.

In the mean time, I am enamored with this new world and its cast of ghostly and undead friends. I am also smiling rather goofily at the hot, risky romance between a bad boy and a risk taker. It is wild, crazy and could well be unstable but it satisfies the romantic itch and the sex scenes are hot as hell. Clay’s hand has crafted a great bedside or bath-side story here with a jolt of fresh paranormal juiciness running through it. I can’t wait to read more from her and uncover some of the mysteries behind these characters I have grown so close to.

Soon, though she returns to her regular life, her mind begins exploding with dreams and memories of ancient times; of a love between two Greeks named Persephone and Hades. But lethal danger has always surrounded the immortals, and now that she’s tainted with the Underworld’s magic, that danger is drawing closer to Sophie.

This is not the usual rehashing of Greek myth in modern terms. It deviates from the main myth so much it creates something new and unique. What if Hades and Persephone loved each other? Ringle re-imagines Greek myth to create this new reality and with it comes a new dimension and facet to the Gods and Goddesses. I was worried this would be a dated idea, something reused beyond passing interest, but I was delightfully wrong.

Different types of sexual disorders, such as low libido, vaginal dryness or low sex drive. This http://robertrobb.com/2014/09/ cheap viagra canada female libido enhancement formula uses a combination of exotic herbs have positive effects on the condition. From the start the book surprised me with its modern setting and problems and then continued to excite me with different dimensions. Gunshots and killer cults are not the norm in fantasy fiction but they work here, partly because the prose is so well written. Molly Ringle has a tight grasp of tension and employs it to keep a reader turning pages. I only took one break from the book when sleep blurred the lines. This is an unusual skill.

In addition, the plot is believable, a mixture of old religion and new. Reincarnation, old Gods and love – purposeful Western and Eastern influences. It is the stuff of an endless romance and provides this beautifully.

Sophie, unlike many paranormal heroines of late, does not take the supernatural way out immediately. She thinks things over, decides what is best for her and takes her time to find the truth of what is going on. She is no fan girl flying by the seat of her pants. She is well educated and has a solid background in plants and trade. Even this background is believable and adds to her solid character. The wish for more spice has been mentioned among celebrity chefs, for instance.

The magic unravels slowly, revealing more and more of this other world and past lives as the story goes on but this never drags. The more that is discovered, the more Sophie and her skills fit into this new world and show her belonging. The only issue I would have with the plot and Sophie’s place in it is the quick dismissal of an individual as a suspected informer. I noticed it and logged it in my mind as something more suspect. Perhaps if she was overlooked for realistic reasons or after a more in depth discussion, this would be more believable and add more disbelief to a later crisis.

However, the novel is not faulty. It even has an impact beyond the story for me. It brings new questions about the underworld, shared language and shared minds or knowledge. There is two sides (or more) to every story and every person and Hades is a character which has had a thorough exploration here. He is no longer creepy (after the first few chapters), nor evil. He is just a man interested in things most the world would deem macabre. Is down bad and up good? Who really knows until we have experienced it? It is a very special ability for an author to subtly encourage me to question my beliefs and Ringle has managed it. She opens the afterlife up for open minds to question – not an easy task.

In short, Molly Ringle has crafted an excellent piece of fiction. She fuses a murder mystery vibe of killer cults and disappearances to create a believable tension and downside to the seemingly problem-less new dimension and paranormal reality created. She couples this with a steamy, age old romance which has enough sexual tension for centuries. Then, we have a story – one which encourages me to cuddle under the covers, knees up, and enjoy the spicy details and tentative renewal of passion.

Claire has lived all these years under Fran’s shadow. She has survived so far by staying as far away as possible from her sister. Claire lives in Seattle and Fran in New York. I found Dustin (the boyfriend from high school) endearing and adorable. He is a successful businessman now and has finally grown to realize the missed opportunity for a life-long love with Claire. What ensues is a battle of wills to clear the past, claim his love and secure his future happiness.

The beginning of the book, I found a little confusing. After reading the first few chapters, I was able to figure out what was going on. From that point on, the story developed nicely. It has a happily ever after and that is a fitting end for our lovers.
