Loner and history buff Troy Hart gets more than he bargained for when his psychic connection to the past leads him to the mountains of Colorado. The legend of buried treasure is nothing new, but falling in love is—and that’s the last thing Troy wants.

Troy’s visions of the old west are all fun and games, until the ghost of an outlaw forces Troy to fulfill his dying wish. To save his own life, and the life of the woman he loves, Troy must follow a trail of greed, betrayal and revenge on a treasure hunt for lost Civil War gold.

Now the fun is over and the game is survival as Troy battles the elements, a dead man and his own heart deep in the remote high country.

Summer and Troy may have been friends in the beginning but chemistry and circumstances literally propel them into an adventure that spans time and threatens their lives and their new found love.

A hundred plus year old ghost and a treasure hunt are rarely on a first date agenda. If they could survive this, navigating a relationship would be no problems at all.

The beginning for me was a little bit difficult to get through because of the visions that Troy kept having. These visions caused Troy to slip back to the past. I wasn’t sure at first how to identify what was happening and who was the hero of this story. Troy was the obvious answer from the blurb but the new man I met carried quite a bit of weight in the story so I was curious to see how his story would play out. The back and forth from the past to the present was confusing at first but once I caught on to the quest, it made much more sense. From there, it just got better and better.

Troy and Summer aren’t perfect characters. They both had past issues in the relationship department. Seeing the ups and downs of their relationship was realistic and refreshing.

Summer Star is both fantasy and paranormal as well as a mystery. The romance was a slow build up that I loved. The timing overall in this story was a big win. The mystery of the ghost and the treasure was suspenseful and developed slowly as opposed to a ‘big reveal’ right at the very end. Readers who enjoy a romance that builds but also unravels the mystery at just the right pace, should give this one a read. Well worth the time!

Have you ever wondered what goes through a man’s mind when you first meet? “Why didn’t he ask me out again? What did he think of me?” “Did I say the wrong thing?” I was newly singled after an unwanted divorce and retired early, so I had time on my hands to find a girlfriend. I didn’t want to be alone, and hadn’t dated in years. I was eager to meet a woman, and became discouraged trying to find someone to be your love, your best trusted friend, a confidant and companion — a very difficult task. Seeing my low spirits to get on with searching to find a woman, a good friend simply told me dating is “Just a game of numbers — the more ladies you meet, the better decision you’ll make.” So, I ventured into the field of online dating and over three years met over 350 ladies. Many women asked me what goes through a man’s mind when he meets a woman. In this book I spell out my thoughts about the women I met, her walk, her appearance, demeanor, clothes, habits, figure, etc. in detail.

Will she be the one? Or maybe it’s the next woman he meets. The anticipation and possibilities are palpable in this intriguing insight into what a man wants.

Whilst this is extremely beneficial for many people, allowing them to easily get the treatment they order viagra uk need for a medical intervention. Sometimes, people buy viagra in stores get confused with the terminology. I absolutely loved the title. And I love coffee. Throw in a dozen short stories that read like a speed dating guide and this novella became a fun way to spend the afternoon.

One of the things I absolutely enjoyed about this book was that it clued me in on what men think about (or at least what one of them thinks) when they set up a meeting with a woman online.

It felt a little repetitious after a while, he meets a woman, they talk, he catalogs her good/bad points and decides if she’s the woman he wants in his life. Lather, rinse, repeat for each super short story presented. However, that being said, the author has a good writing voice and each time my interest was newly piqued to know what happens next, who the next woman will be and will he fall in love with her?

I loved how the writer portrayed each character, with the good, the bad and everything. The incidents or what happened in this book felt real. The characters felt like normal people that we may meet or ones that we may know.

The ending was a bit of a surprise. As a reader of romance stories, I think I was expecting a HEA or at the very least a HFN. It felt unfinished for me. It might be interesting to see if the author writes a follow-up book when/if he meets the woman he’s searching for, the one who’ll be his forever love.

North and Faith, two very different people and yet they actually have more in common than just the wall between their apartments. It’ll take Faith living up to her name and North embracing the hero he didn’t think he could be for these two opposites to attract.

Faith is a sweet, intelligent and sexy woman who has just moved to her new apartment. That is how this starts. In my country, when we see new neighbors we greet them and chat and get to know them. Here, every step Faith took towards being neighborly went haywire or were flat out rejected. I got the impression that North was trying to push her away for her own good but lucky for him, Faith didn’t scare away so easily.

North is a protector…stuck between a haunting past and a possible future. He knows there isn’t a lot of chance of him getting any kind of future with Faith but that doesn’t stop him from dreaming even if it may end in his heart getting broken.

There are several mini plots going on in this book but the one this I would have liked to have seen more is the relationship development between Faith and North. They have great chemistry and I was cheering for them, I simply would have liked to have seen more of their growth together.

Love, action and romance. One of the things I appreciated about this book is that it is stand alone. I didn’t need to have read the first couple of books to understand this one.

Overall, I found Ms. Jordan’s characters to be interesting and the story was sexy and exciting.

Upfront disclosure, I haven’t read the first book in this series. I love a series where each book can be read as a standalone while a common thread or reoccurring characters tie the series together. His To Punish has all the right elements to make it as a standalone. Readers new to the BDSM genre should be aware that it also has a variety of things that may not be what a first time reader of erotic romance is expecting. That being said this book and the plot showed the characters every facet, good, bad, everything.

The chemistry between Jeanette and Ty was hot and sizzling and the passion was brought out more with every chapter I read.

As second in command of the Cleaners, Ty is full on Dominant with a capital D. I love everything about the story but was a little surprised at how quickly Jeanette embraces becoming a submissive. The author may have felt rushed to get beyond that aspect of the relationship, the push/pull of a new submissive, to develop the rest of the plot and build on Ty and Jeanette’s HEA. The story doesn’t lag but moves quickly and kept my attention.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book. It has love, family, and just the right amount of sizzling chemistry.

To architecture student Ian Carney, family means everything. Taken in by his brother, Jim, when his father threw him out at eighteen for being gay, Ian yearns to create his own family with his boyfriend, Rico. But Rico’s in Mexico caring for a sick father, Ian hasn’t had sex in a month and a half, and his gorgeous boss, Braden Lord, CEO of the architectural firm Ian interns for, is looking better and better.

Braden’s life is chaos. Just out of the closet and going through an ugly divorce from his wife of fifteen years who’s trying to take custody of his two children, he desperately resolves not to succumb to a completely inappropriate attraction to Ian—even though his kids adore both the man and his crazy cat.

Can Ian give up his romantic dreams for an “old guy” who didn’t come out until he carried a mountain of baggage? It’ll only take a thousand steps.

Ian and Braden are from different walks of life but also have a decade between them. Their attraction is instant and Ian, in a short amount of time, becomes a very important part of Braden’s children’s life. They have a lot going for them but so much is stacked against them. One step forward, two steps back. It will take love and one crazy cat to get these two where they need to be, with each other.

Braden has been hiding a part of himself from himself and everyone else. The result was a very bitter wife, who is about to be an ex-wife.

A lifetime of hiding has given Braden a lot of things both good and bad. The one truly good thing to come from his marriage, the thing that made it all worth it, is his children. They are his reason to stop hiding who he is and they become the reason he gets so close to Ian.

Ian is young, talented and very much in love with his boyfriend, who has to move to his home country to take care of his ailing father. However, when he stops hearing from Rico, he worries. What he finds out isn’t at all what he expected but when a door closes, he looks for an open window. That window leads straight, no pun intended, to Braden.

I loved the connection between the children and Ian but the one thing struck me as missing is that the relationship between Ian and Braden needed to be shown a bit more. More showing, less telling. I wanted to feel like I was more of a part of their story as opposed to simply observing it from a distance.

Braden has insecurities from decades of hiding and Ian helps boosts his confidence. The sex and attraction between both of them was evident and nicely portrayed. I wanted to see how their relationship changed from boss/employee to friends to partners.

This is a series and since I have not yet read the previous books in this series, I can only concluded that each book can be read as a standalone erotic romance. Braden and Ian’s book has wonderful and fulfilling ending with promises of forever. A thousand steps begins by taking the first. This is one of those books where the characters know what they want, they see it but it takes finding the courage to take that first step to reach their goal. Braden needed Ian to get him to where he could embrace the chance for love and a real life. Well worth the read.

But can he prove it to the one woman who makes his family complete?

Cowboys and babies, that was what sold me on this one right away.

I loved EllaJayne, who always seems to do a disappearing act. She may be the smallest character in this story but she’s also pivotal. Pepper and AJ both think they’re fighting for the same thing. The Property. In reality what they both want is love, family and belonging. It’ll take a pint sized princess to show them the way.

How they go from fighting with each other to fighting for each other was the highlight of this story for me.

The ending and the climax was great, I wasn’t ready for the story to end.

This is the fourth book in the Angel Crossing series. The characters and how they were developed in the book was wonderful. The author did a fantastic job of portraying a small town with all its quirks.

It felt as if the author was building up to something.  I felt as if more was going to happen and then it didn’t. Not saying that any part of it was bad just that there was an intensity that seemed to be leading up to something big taking place in their lives, like maybe the mother coming back to claim EllaJayne or a fire or something. Having said that, the ending is perfectly romantic and satisfying. Overall, I’m glad that I read this book and I look forward to returning to Angel Crossing again.

Jill Shalvis always brings a story that captures and holds this reader captive until I read to the last page.  This story is about trust and letting go of the past.

Willa and Keane have a history, though Keane doesn’t realize why Willa is being almost rude to him when she is completely opposite with any other customer. What he does know is that he likes her, and she intrigues him. He picks up on the fact that he should know her but doesn’t seem to remember when or how he met her. In contrast, she seems to remember, in vivid detail, who he is and how they met and parted.

The secondary characters, like the people she works with are very interesting and worth the mention. They show a side to Willa that would not have been evident if these characters were not present. For example, Willa put Christmas decorations on the wall of the street where a homeless man sleeps. That told me a lot about her true character.

Maybe in the future books one of these secondary characters could star in their own story.

The plot is simple but it was how the story and the characters were portrayed and how it was written that held my interest to the end. I never got bored with their story and Ms. Shalvis didn’t overwhelm me with back story that could have slowed down the pace.

The Trouble with Mistletoe is a perfect read for a cold night and a coffee.

Boss… Perfectly Named.

The first thing needed to be said is that this definitely can be categorized as a stand alone book. I have yet to read the first and second book in the series and I wasn’t confused at all. The story is about a boss, his employee and their attraction and the ensuing circumstances that put them together. Talk about hot! Holy moly, it’s steamy!

Kelsey and Nathan are different from each other but somehow when they got together they were the perfect couple. Nathan is a lot of things–including a Dom. He knows what he wants and takes it. No one tells this boss no. When he realizes his new employee signed for the BDSM club he co-owns, he wants her to himself. Like I said, he doesn’t take no for an answer.

From there starts a relationship, somewhat hectic because of their professional relationship, but that part just showed more of the characters to me–like how much independent Kelsey is or how dedicated Nathan is. The love he has not only for his business but for the family as well shined right through.

This is a steamy read that should not be missed.

This one has a plot that is totally different and not what I expected.

I have a read a lot of books where the virgin and nerd is the woman and the gazillionaire or the billionaire is the man. But this is the completely opposite to that. That being the case the author did a very good portraying the characters.

Rachel wants Dr. Theo Moore’s technology or wants to help him develop it. What comes as a surprise is how different these characters are and how well Ms. Sarai depicted them as polar opposites and yet completely compatible.

Theo is a recluse who does not normally venture out into the public. However, he does for the deal between himself and Rachel. The first meeting is where it truly begins to heat up. It starts with attraction between a very intelligent, smart but socially awkward Theo and highly successful and rich Rachel.

This novella was different for me primarily because of the bondage section. How it begins and how it ends wasn’t what I expected at all.

Theo and Rachel’s relationship was in constant evolution in this book. It starts with Theo being the submissive and Rachel being the Dominant in the relationship at first. This changed when Theo realized that he liked dominating and Rachel liked being submissive. Then, the relationship flipped. From that point was where BDSM aspect truly started.

The changes in the relationship roles allowed me to see them move from sexual players to true lovers. Their story has elements of both true love and forgiveness that gave the story a more full body feel than it might have been otherwise.
