But Philip is married to Cooper’s sister Meg, even if his wife has been mysteriously out of the picture for the past two years, so this ready-made family can’t possibly have room in it for Levi… or can it?

Levi is the best man for his good friend Cooper’s wedding. While at the engagement party, he meets Philip, the separated husband of Cooper’s sister, Meg. Sparks fly, but despite their attraction neither feels right in acting upon is, as Philip and Meg are still technically married. While things between the two men are incredibly complicated, some things are crystal clear. They’re both extremely interested in each other as a lot more than friends. Can they work past their respective issues and build a proper life together?

This is a really good, strongly emotional story. The pace was slow enough I enjoyed Levi and Philip trying to sort themselves out and work on their relationship. This isn’t a story where the main characters meet, fall instantly in love and have large amounts of rambunctious sex. Each have their own baggage, and both have plenty of stuff to work through to find their way to each other. I enjoyed how the story didn’t drag, but didn’t gloss over any of the hurdles and race to the finish line either. I feel the author should be commended on the pacing of this story.

I also really enjoyed the characters. Levi and Philip were both vivid, three-dimensional to me. I felt a particular kinship to Levi and found myself very sympathetic toward him. While the plot “twist” toward the end is easily guessed – as is the ramifications and resolution – I still was impressed that there was a plot, and a decent one to boot. Not just a throwaway, easily “fixed” thing made to pad out the sex. While not precisely original, I found the timing and conflict really added to the characters development and the forward motion of the relationship.

A strongly written, heartfelt erotic romance, this is a lovely story to curl up with. It’s great for a relaxing weekend with a lovely hit of spicy sex and tons of emotion. I really enjoyed the characters and pacing and would happily try another book by this author.

Apart from the sexual aspects, living with a younger woman is usually blamed for not carrying children. This the best sildenafil stress will cause inflammation and swelling of the ligaments, which then creates pressure on the bundle of nerves that is protected by the spinal column. Quincy gives away his heart too easily, and has been hurt in love more than once. Still, that doesn’t stop him from falling head over heels for Topaz when he first meets the man.

It seems like a match made in heaven, but Topaz lives with two men who are his best friends, and also his lovers. Will Quincy ever be able to understand that Topaz has more than enough love in his heart for his best friends and his soul-mate, or will Topaz’s bohemian ways be too much for Quincy to understand?

Quincy loved visiting the corner flower shop. Stephen, the owner, made the most amazing floral arrangements and talked about his flowers as if they were rambunctious children. While visiting one day, he met Topaz there, a wild, free, whirlwind of a man who made Quincy want to laugh and play. Even though Quincy quickly talks himself out of starting something – his last boyfriend had stomped his heart to pieces – he simply can’t resist Topaz. Things aren’t as simple as Quincy first believed though, and as tempting and fun as Topaz is, Quincy struggles to embrace life as fully as his lover does.

This is a wonderful, vibrant story, full of colour and laughter. I really enjoyed the four main characters. Stephen and Leo are soul-mates, but have plenty of love left over for Topaz. The three men live together, sharing their lives and hearts. Although it’s not a traditional house, it’s filled to the brim with sunshine and happiness, and there’s plenty left over for Quincy to share. Topaz can see something within Quincy, something that calls to him. I loved how Topaz needed to be patient, for as wonderful as their household is, it wouldn’t be an easy life for Quincy to just dive straight into. And as tempting as the author has made it, I relished that realism – the doubt and worry, the fact it took time for Quincy to feel as if he fitted into the dynamic. Topaz, Leo and Stephen have a magic all their own, and slowly but surely Quincy finds himself being woven in, and I felt it didn’t detract one inch from the fun and colourfulness of the men’s lives.

Added on, Quincy and Topaz really share something special, something magical. Neither man can deny it and I enjoyed watching them grow and flourish together, become something greater than the sum of their parts. Even when I felt sad, when the drama buffered against them, there is just something so bright, so lovely about Topaz and his outlook. The sex is smoking hot, but I really found it was the relationship between the men – all four of them – that took center stage. For this story, I thought that was wonderful and added a depth others sometimes miss. Yes, there’s plenty of sex, and delightfully so – but it’s the interactions between the men and the complexities of their relationship that really makes this book so awesome.

A fun, heartwarming story that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. I feel this should appeal to a wide range of readers, especially ones who like something more complex than your average erotic romance. Recommended.

This trio of short stories features Noah Kingston and Sawyer Shaw from Apples & Gin, a photographer and a country singer doing their best to stay in love despite distance, disapproval, and the occasional disagreement. From snowed-in airports to walking down the aisle, Noah and Sawyer know one thing is certain: true love is delicious.

Animal Crackers:

Noah was stuck at the airport, grounded by snow. It’s the day before Valentine’s day, and he hasn’t seen Sawyer for almost two weeks. Despite the fact they’d never made a big deal out of the day before, this was the first Valentine’s day they’d been engaged for, and for some reason Noah wanted it to be special.

I found this to be a really sweet and somewhat tender story. This is the first book I’ve read about these two men, and even though this is clearly mid-way through a series, I didn’t find that detracted at all from my enjoyment.

Noah and Sawyer are a solid, very loving couple and watching their antics was fun and delicious. There was none of that awkward, getting-to-know-you stage but it was lovely to still see them learning new things and exploring their future together. I thoroughly enjoyed this and was really excited to read more about these two.

Birthday Cake:

It’s Sawyer’s birthday, and Noah wants to give him a special day. While they always spent their birthdays together, Sawyer only wanted a day with Noah – so that was exactly what he planned to get. When Noah discovers Sawyer has a few tricks up his sleeve, the day turns out to be far more important – and special – than he could have ever imagined.

I really enjoyed this story. Sawyer and Noah are both extremely comfortable with each other, but it was nice to see Noah have to stretch a little. Sawyer might be the singer and musician, but Noah has a lovely voice and Sawyers insistence that he wants Noah to sing with him for his birthday is a really fun, special present.

I thought the small twist at the end was an excellent rounding out of this fun and heart-warming short story.

Wedding Cake:

Noah and Sawyer are getting married in just a few days. They’re in Boston with a whole bunch of their friends and Noah’s parents have turned up. Everyone is there – except for Sawyer’s family. But with so much to celebrate, and such an important, joyous occasion before them, neither man can think of anything except the other.

This is another really sweet, mostly happy short story that I thoroughly enjoyed. These snapshots of both Sawyer and Noah’s life have been fun and I’ve liked seeing them come together and be so happy in their relationship and being together. Noah and Sawyer are so deeply in love, watching them get married and celebrate that special moment was just magical.

I found all three of these short stories to be really fun and full of love. Noah and Sawyer are a wonderful couple and reading of their various exploits is just fantastic. I’ll definitely be looking for more of their stories and can’t wait to read more by this author.

As a publicity stunt, his friend Jack Douglas has arranged a kissing contest to be held inside a Paris Hotel and Casino, where some of the most famous and attractive men from around the world will compete for the bragging rights of best kisser in the world.

It’s a contest that everyone enjoys—except Homer, who is left reminded all over again that people love the images and illusions he portrays far more than they will ever love the reality.

Homer is a very well known actor and has been talked into an unusual contest. The World Famous Kissing Contest was a publicity stunt. Men of different nationalities were pitted against each other with a bevy of willing women volunteers, and the best kisser would win the title of the Kissing King. The contest was held in Paris, and Homer can’t forget this is the bright city where he first fallen in love.

This is a very short story, but I found it filled with wonderful detail and kept me reading it all the way through in one shot. Homer – although not your typical hero – is an honest and refreshing character. Happily married to his second wife, he nevertheless doesn’t pretend to be some wide-eyed ingénue, or a slavishly devoted man while secretly harboring resentment at the repression of his life. I was startled at his private honesty – that his marriage to Clara was not the perfect picture they both painted. While Homer genuinely loves her, their relationship isn’t the normal, fairy tale, endless style of love. I found this honesty refreshing and indeed interesting, but more traditional readers mightn’t feel the same.

The twist at the end – the final kiss – was something I found satisfying and in its own way extremely romantic. There is a tone of M/M some traditional romance readers mightn’t like, but this is a sweet story – light kissing only – and I personally really enjoyed it. This is fresh, different and while not surprising, certainly not your average tale about a kissing contest. Different and fresh, I’d urge readers to give it a try and see if some of that Paris magic mightn’t leave you with a smile too.

Gunther Duchene aka “Gunny” and Macalister Jones aka “Mac” have overcome the obstacles of coming out and retiring from serving more than twenty years as Marines. Their exit ceremony is behind them, their wedding vows are made, and now it’s time for the honeymoon. What better way to kick off their marriage than enjoying the retirement gift Mac gave Gunny? With the leather pants and collar packed, it’s off to New York City and the Guards of Folsom club to celebrate—BDSM style.

Gunny has expressed to his husband, Mac, his desire to explore some leather fetish clubs. Obligingly, Mac buys Gunny some leather pants, a leather shirt and a gorgeous leather collar. Mac doesn’t want there to be any confusion who his lover belongs to. A work opportunity lets both men go to DC, so Mac decides it’s high time he and Gunny finally took their honeymoon, and New York has a bunch of leather clubs Mac is eager to introduce Gunny to. The two men have seen years of combat together, but now they’re retired, it’s time to focus on each other, and Mac has plenty of plans in that department.

Despite the shorter length of this novel and the solid nature of Mac and Gunny’s relationship, I really enjoyed the new sparks the two men shared. Their love and commitment is clear to see, but seeing Gunny interact with Mac’s parents, and watching how Mac worked to bring Gunny’s leather fantasy to life was almost like seeing new aspects of the two men come together. I also really enjoyed how much of the club was described and explained. Because this is Mac and Gunny’s first time at the club, the descriptions are a lot more detailed and longer than other books I’ve read. This helped me get a really vivid picture in my head and gave the book more depth to me.

A fun, sexy romp of a book, I think this book would appeal to BDSM novices as well as those well used to their kink. There is nothing I found overtly dangerous or envelope pushing to scare off new readers – but still plenty of sizzle and spark between Mac and Gunny to have even the veterans of erotica whet their appetite. Recommended.

Raw attraction… Their jobs set them on a collision course, but chemistry sparks like wildfire between Reid and Haley. They’ll have to brave some rough territory if they hope to reconcile their polarizing views with a passion that won’t be denied.

Reid Everett is a marine sniper, about to be deployed. While all his mates go out for a bit of fun for the last time in the foreseeable future, Reid is still licking his wounds from a Dear John text months earlier. Hayley has been studying hard and has work lined up over summer, so she can’t deny her friend Yolanda when she gets dragged out to a country bar for a night of fun. Reid is the first man in ages to ping her radar, but interest is quickly turned to annoyance when she finds out he’s a Marine. One night stands and flighty men who ditch their women on a whim is not her style. But Reid surprises her when he comes to her rescue, and Hayley will need to understand Reid doesn’t conform to many of the labels she automatically places upon him.

This is a spicy and fun romance story. Hayley is not one to pull verbal punches and I thought she certainly put Reid through his paces, especially in the beginning. Having an absent father in the Army has soured Hayley for much of military life, and being against the war in the first place means she has some very strongly negative views on all things Army. While her dislike certainly caused some simmering tension between Hayley and Reid, I found especially in the start of the book her prejudice soured me on Hayley’s character a little. Her antagonism toward Reid was right on my personal knife edge between being rude and having a backbone and willingness to express her views. Many readers might feel differently, but Hayley’s caustic words meant it took me a while to warm up to her character.

Army correspondence style romances aren’t new, but I liked the fresh email take this story has. Letters don’t need to be long, meandering and tug at the heart strings. I like the short, feisty and snappy conversations that can go on between people with this faster mode of communication. I also enjoyed reading about various pictures Reid could attach to his letters. But some things never go out of style – getting to know someone via this style of communication is slower, but yet still somehow deeper than many face-to-face versions.

There were a few clichéd plot devices, but for the most part I really enjoyed meeting both Reid’s and Hayley’s families. There is a whole host of characters – along with the obligatory, sexy ex-girlfriend – and I felt these interesting people really helped create a great backdrop to the romantic story.

Overall I found this to be a spirited, heartwarming story. Hayley is a crusader, full of strong ideals about saving the world from war and the environment, rescuing wildlife and so forth and Reid is a strong, quiet man who is also saving the world the best way he knows how, through the Army. They’re two fundamentally different people who still find themselves drawn to each other – no matter how strongly Hayley might deny it. I think that readers wanting a quick fix for their steamy romance might find the pace of this story – and the character conflicts – a bit slow-going, but those who love a slow build up and the characters really working for their Happily Ever After should be really pleased with the passion and chemistry between Reid and Hayley.

But Kathleen is shattered to discover she never knew her Uncle at all, really, and the secrets he reveals alter the course of her life.

To be honest I was expecting a fairly standard “city girl goes into the country to fulfil family will” style story and in many respects this is exactly that. I found many of the familiar boxes ticked. Kathleen is a successful business woman with money (driving a Mercedes into town) and has sold up her life and home to come into the country as her Uncle requested. Also there was the familiar plot-hook of the sexy farm hand (who also here happens to be Sheriff Sean McCarty) who helps her out and turns into the hero of the story. What I haven’t come across before and found quite a strange twist was the close-mindedness and in some instances even outright racism and bigotry of the local townspeople.

I thought it a little odd that Kathleen was the first ever minority woman to have appeared in the town. I found that not only a little beyond belief, but also in another respect quite brave. Throughout the whole story I fluctuated between these two emotions. I was quite disappointed that in this day and age, a large percentage of a group of small town people could be so judgmental about something like the colour of a woman’s skin. I also struggled to accept that no other minority person had ever in the history of the town even passed through. These two things frequently jarred me from the enjoyment of the story.

The chemistry between Kathleen and Sean sizzles immediately and soon explodes between them. They both have secrets and both are strong, stubborn people, so their romance together is proverbially rocky. That doesn’t lessen the intensity of their need for each other and their sex is smoking hot. I found the sex–while hot and good–was quite aggressive, with both Kathleen and Sean being dominant and the aggressor at times. This might not sit well with all readers as I found at times they both could push the envelope sexually.

Readers looking for a hot story filled with sex and romance should find this as enjoyable as I did. While some of the other secondary characters aren’t the usual “supporting cast” I still found enjoyment from that small-country-town feel of story that is hard not to like. A fun, steamy short story with a real twist of surprise at the end.

They’re both learning more about each other, and Yves is loving every moment. When Tony’s old pimp finds them however, the perfection of their time together comes under threat. Will Yves be able to navigate this properly for the happy ending he so badly wants with Tony?

I really enjoyed this short story. While it’s not necessary to have read “Tony” (another Shibari Auction House short story by Sean Michael and set time-wise just before this one) I feel the reader can take more away from Yves having seen the two men come together earlier. That said, this can easily be read as a stand alone and still be thoroughly enjoyed to my mind.

There is quite a bit of progression between Yves and Tony’s relationship, which I really enjoyed. I would have preferred to learn a bit more about each man outside their relationship, but considering the length of the story I can well understand how practically impossible this would have been for the author. I would have loved the story to be longer though.

The sub-plot of Tony’s ex-pimp is a good one, and resolved satisfactorily. While this plot felt a bit rushed toward the end, again I have no complaint that the words were spent deepening the bonds between Yves and Tony. There’s only so much one can do in so few pages. The sex is hot and mildly kinky. Enough of a bite to whet the appetite but not so harsh that I feel any other readers need particular trigger warnings. I would think that readers who enjoy their M/M erotica with a bit of BDSM and fooling around should find this comfortable and hot.

I found this to be a delicious short story with a satisfying balance of plot, characterization and smoking hot sex. Recommended.

Or will it be their hearts on the chopping block?

Lucrezia is having a very rough go since her restaurant received a scathing review from critic Derek Dunne. The family restaurant is nose-diving, dying a slow, painful death after their customers dried up from the now-infamous review. When Derek hears that the newspaper he’s always worked for is closing up in six months, he has an epiphany. This is the perfect time for him to make a change in his career. No longer will he be on the outside looking in, tasting other people’s work and writing from the sidelines. He decides it’s time for him to create his own food, his own way. He recalls one specific restaurant, with a homey, local feel and he decides to try his luck. Only Lu has zero interest of listening to him and his slick speech attempting to get work in the kitchen. The heat between them is about to reach intense levels.

This is a light-hearted, fun novel about a family owned business and the passionate people working to keep it alive. I really loved how Derek swept into Lu’s kitchen, and in a strong, but reasonable manner just plain took over. Lu is a business woman at heart, not a chef, and while Derek might have been writing for a living for many years, he trained as a chef and his passion has always been food. In the kitchen, they’re a match made in heaven. I was really pleased that Lu could see this and didn’t remain stubborn. Yes, her anger is justified and her reaction when confronted with Derek the first time after his column was hysterical. But she didn’t let her anger and resentment detract from her family restaurant.

While there is a definite thread of comedy through the story, I found it to be a sweet, funny story full of vivid family characters and strong secondary presences. I found myself laughing a few times while reading and enjoyed that warmth a feel-good type of story gives you. My only disappointment was Lu’s panic mid-way through the book, which I didn’t really feel was properly justified. It felt a bit too much to me like a “lets create conflict here” instead of a natural suspicion and concern. That fakeness was my only real problem though, the rest of the story – the characters in particular – were lively and wonderful.

Fun, sexy and very lighthearted, I found this to be a wonderful book sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. With brilliant characters, crazy and cool and that special pinch of something only an oddball family can give you I really enjoyed this story. Recommended.

After dealing with their own lives for a few days – Damon with his bar and Toby with his sculpting –  Damon in particular is itching for some special time with Toby, and Toby isn’t going to complain at all. When Damon finally sits for Toby, posing for his lover to sculpt him, the fire explodes between them and both know things will never be the same again.

This is a smoking hot book. While it is the sequel to Malting, it’s not necessary to have read that to enjoy Milling. Toby and Damon burn these pages up and I found myself entranced from the beginning. I really loved watching how their relationship grows and expands. Toby is fairly new to everything, both in a D/s relationship and Damon being his first real partner as well. I thought this freshness brought a sense of wonder and adventure to the experience.

While much of the sex is kinky, the love these two men share fills everything. It was a pleasure to read about Toby and Damon further exploring each other and the boundaries of their blossoming relationship. I also really enjoyed how we learn more about each man’s world. I was shown deeper into Toby and his sculpting, and Damon with his pub. Two very intriguing new characters were introduced (I’d love a book about Peter and Christian, please!) and all this added depth and layers to both Toby and Damon. It made me feel like their world, their relationship and their lives were more realistic. There is absolutely nothing wrong with endlessly hot, smoking sex, but the extra depth outside the bedroom made me enjoy Toby and Damon even more. I’ve really grown to love both the characters and the world they inhabit and know I’ll be rereading both these books many times in the future.

There is a small sub-plot, lightly linking Malting with this book and I feel (hope!) the author has left the door open for another book to come. I’m very curious to see how this will turn out and am eagerly anticipating more. This is an awesome story I feel many erotica readers will enjoy. Full of fun, smoking hot sex and awesome characters it’s totally a winner. Recommended.
