After Marianne is caught en compromise with another woman, her husband, the vicious Viscount Cobham, is enraged. He remands Marianne to the care of her beastly grandfather with orders that she take a lover—a male lover. She is to get herself with child by the time he returns from his travels in six months. He will have his heir, one way or another. Marianne’s grandfather charges his stable master with the task, and Marianne is bound to her bed every third night to await the burly man.

Michael Ainsworth is no stud horse, and Baron Thurlow’s task is too ghastly to consider. But Michael longs for a glimpse of the pretty girl who used to cling to the paddock fence to watch the horses. When he finds her terrified and unwilling, his honor demands he protect her—despite the heartbreaking knowledge the viscountess can never love a lowly servant.

Marianne is caught in a compromising situation with another woman. Her husband, Viscount Cobham, is livid and sends her off to stay with her grandfather, Baron Thurlow. Cobham will be away for six months and instructs the baron that by the time he returns he wants to learn that Marianne is pregnant.

The baron enlists the help of stable boy Michael Ainsworth to impregnate her. Michael has worshipped Marianne from a distance since she was a girl and feels compelled to help her in any way he can.

As the story begins, you feel immediately sorry for Marianne. Erectile dysfunction is termed buy levitra professional as the inability of a man to have the best love sessions it is very frustrating, as this makes sexual intercourse less enjoyable and affect relationships. Her grandfather is cruel and she’s married a terrible man who beats her, but then Michael comes on the scene and you know he’ll be her hero in the truest sense of the word. He is gentle with Marianne, and it comes across that he truly cares for her and that he’s the only man she could be happy with. He was my favorite character in the book; maybe because all the other characters besides Marianne were villains in the story and you hope for a happy ending for these two people because they really deserve it. And I always enjoy a book where the two main characters have past history.

On the positive side, the characters were well drawn, the dialogue natural sounding for the time and setting…however, and here’s what spoiled the story for me: In giving them their happily ever after ending, I felt the author tried to tie up all the loose ends too quickly. I would have liked to have seen one problem resolved and then more story where you worry about the next hurdle they have to overcome. I don’t want to give away any of the final scenes, but the way the problems were resolved seemed contrived. Maybe Claiming Lady Marianne should have been a longer story. One in which Marianne and Michael used their own means and skills to get their perfect and happy ending. However, if you enjoy erotic romances set in the Regency period, this is worth a read.

Pasha is a slave, whoring for travelers at the most dangerous bar on Warlan. He has no memory, no future of his own, yet deep inside Pasha knows that that he is meant for better things. The day that Pasha spots the dangerous pirate in the bar, he knows that he mustn’t let the stranger slip away, regardless of what he must do to attract his attention.

Captain Griffin Hawke spent the greater part of a decade searching for his lost king, only to find Helios Dayspring crouched between his knees, swathed in the robes and shackles of a whore. Though he is appalled by the downfall of his king, the hardened officer finds himself falling for the allure of the sensual creature who has taken his place. Returning Helios to his position on the throne is the only right thing to do, yet Griffin knows that in doing so, he risks losing his lover forever.

How much of an identity is actually recoverable when someone has been stripped of memory, power, dignity and all that he loves? For Helios, finding out who he truly is after living as a sex slave is only the beginning. It’s his slow, almost archeological uncovering of his identity that makes this book a fascinating read.

Not that there aren’t other things to enjoy here. Pasha/Helios, despite repeated mind wipes and brutal slave training, never quite submits to his life of captivity. He knows, though he has no inkling why, that he’s meant to be somewhere else. Always thinking, constantly assessing his surroundings, he has retained the core of his resourceful, stubborn personality enough to know that when the right opportunity arises, he has to be ready to seize it. He does what he must but the reader has to admire his inability to give into despair and his ability to adapt.

Though we’re held a little at a distance by Helios’ first person narrative, his opposite number, Griffin, is no less likeable. The speedy rush of blood helps to stiffen the levitra side effects penis. However, gingko biloba viagra spain is the most popular herbal plants which is effective towards sexual dysfunction. Relinquishing discount sildenafil http://pamelaannschoolofdance.com/jay-dilley/ of tissues plus muscles with rising age is even a root cause of erectile dysfunction. It is an actual adverse bearing generic viagra online with irreparable damaging after-effects to personality. Tough as nails on the outside, inwardly tortured, he is quickly revealed as fiercely loyal, a man struggling to reweave what he sees as his tattered honor and holding desperately onto the hope of recovering a love he thought lost forever.

In an SF novel, though, I would have liked to have seen a bit more in the way of world-building. There are hints and tidbits about Arash and its inhabitants, but only glimpses. We never know what the significance is of the Sun Priests, never really have a good feel for this lost world, never really see the character of its people beyond the fact that they weren’t well-prepared for invasion. One also expects a bit more in the way of political machination, especially at the end. (There are obviously traitors among Helios’ subjects – except for his cousin, we never find out who.) I believe there might be more coming from the tone of the ending, but it did seem a bit abrupt. These items and the fact that there are perhaps more than a few odd coincidences (Griffin just happens to be in the right bar, at the right moment. Carlotta just happens to be guarding a buyer at the right time, etc.) driving parts of the plot are the only things keeping this from being a perfect story.

Helios’ voice is sardonic and full of biting wit even as he is self-deprecating and often uncertain, lending an endearing poignancy to his sarcastic internal remarks. It is his personality and his journey of discovery, after all, which give the story its greatest strength. Space opera, yes, but I say that in the fondest sense since the growth of individual and of relationship are so well done. The reader wishes Helios all the best, of course, but we would like an excuse to see him and his Griffin again.

Twenty-nine-year-old half-blood vampire Dimitri Dumont has obsessed over Neely Little John from afar and wondered if she might be his bloodlust — his perfect mate. Falling head over heels for a gorgeous man who is fifteen years her junior, she’s amazed at the driving need she feels for his touch.

His family isn’t thrilled about Dimitri finding his mate in an aging woman, making it difficult for them to accept her, especially when he kills two men to defend her. When he fights his undying attraction, Dimitri struggles to stay away from Neely, bedding and feeding off of numerous other women in an attempt to get past his feelings, all to no avail.

The writing is done well though it could use a little more depth of feeling with the five senses. True fear is felt when the hero goes overboard sexually, making the heroine literally accept any attention at all from the violent needs of the vampire. Knowing he’s womanizing and wants to share her with his cousins, she accepts it all with grace, a little too willingly and her easy acceptance of his demands made me a little sad. Still, I enjoyed the story, and it’s a good read for vampire lovers with fetishes.

Good things come to those who dare.

Lana Green is looking for a lover. At twenty-three, she’s more than ready to shed her shyness and shake up the status quo. Lucky her, the aloof bad boy she’s always wanted to shake it with, Brody Nash, is back in town. Too bad he barely knows she’s alive. Then an unexpected kiss makes her think her days of lusting from a distance are over. Despite the fact she’s no femme fatale and has zero clue how to seduce a man, she sets out to do exactly that.

Brody hardly recognizes the alluring woman as the same gawky computer geek he left in Graceville six months ago. Lana has him spellbound, but his temporary stay in town is strictly business—running his friend’s restaurant while the man’s on his honeymoon. Brody doesn’t do relationships, and he doesn’t do permanent. But when he finds her asleep on his boat, he can’t keep his hands, or any other part of his anatomy, to himself.

Things get complicated when he discovers what he thought was a casual sexual encounter has just cured her of the one thing she wanted to get rid of—her virginity.

The first thing I did after reading Sunset Knight was to make a direct trip to Samhain to purchase the story’s predecessor, Chasing Sunset. The characters quite literally pop off the page, each one as well developed as the one before. Increased count of cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate is beneficial as it helps in maintaining male buy levitra viagra erection for longer duration of time. The chemistry between the protagonists is molten hot and heartbreakingly sweet, an emotional and sensual combination, and you’ll enjoy this fantastic story from start to finish.

The premise of the story, while simple on the surface, is anything but. Brody is unobtainable, but not for the reasons you initially suspect. He isn’t even aware of the isolation he’s inflicted upon himself until he begins to feel something for the lovely Lana. I can’t reveal the tragedies of his past, but I will say it’s very well done, and the reveal is timed perfectly.

Likewise, Lana isn’t who you might expect after meeting her for the first time in the story. Instead, layers of the insecure young girl are peeled away, and you get a glimpse of the woman beneath.

The emotional scenes will have you tearing up, while the sexual ones see you panting and diving into the closest bathroom for a cold shower. Sunset Knight is one for the keeper shelf that I highly recommend. If you like a heaping portion of romance in your erotica, this definitely hits the spot.

A hard man is good to find…and impossible to resist.

The Vaughn Series, Book 4

Since a car accident left her unable to have children, Grace Vaughn has hidden her heart behind a wall. So far it’s held strong, and no one complains much—except the few men she dates.

Now that fortress is crumbling thanks to Jackson Hill, an annoyingly attractive man who makes her imagination go wild just watching him in the office. He’s practically bullied her into attending a Vegas conference with him. Three days alone with the delicious Jackson—in Sin City, no less—is sure to push her right over the edge.

With a loving family, a decent bank account, a nice set of clubs, Jackson’s life is almost complete. Except for the missing piece. Grace. She sets a fire in his blood, and the conference is the perfect crowbar to get past her defense mechanisms. It’s time to see if the bump-and-grind potential in that booty of hers can be channeled into something a little more satisfying than looking.

He’s got just the tactic to get her to let down her guard—and hopefully her panties. A wicked bet. Because if there’s one thing he knows about Grace, she can’t resist a double-dog-dare…

Warning: This title contains graphic sex, rope bondage, anal sex, and a deliciously inventive hero who just happens to be really good with knots and doling out spankings.

Tempting Grace is story I enjoyed on multiple levels. It deals with insecurity, self-doubt, and learning to trust. Grace Vaughn is a woman that is afraid to let any man get too close. When she meets Jackson Hill, she knows she’s in trouble. He’s the sexiest man she’s ever seen, someone she can’t seem to stay away from, and the fact that he’s a known womanizer only reinforces her decision to keep a safe distance. Jackson is a man that goes after what he wants, and he wants Grace–a woman that shuns him even as she engages him. He’s determined to crack her prickly, hard exterior. A company trip to Vegas will provide the perfect opportunity to prove that not only is he the perfect man for her, but she is the only woman for him.

The story is excellently written, with characters that are both memorable and endearing. Grace is a firecracker willing to go toe to toe with the man that infuriates her as much as he excites her. She knows what she wants, but has allowed insecurity to control her life. Jackson is the opposite, utterly confident–until he meets the one woman that denies him time and again. When it comes down to losing Grace altogether, he is forced to play his hand. You’ll love the interaction between them, the playful banter, and the super hot pages in between.

This is the first in the Vaughn series I’ve enjoyed, but it won’t be the last. Thoroughly engaging and something you’ll be able to read from beginning to end. Tempting Grace is a story that I highly recommend.

Restaurateur Aden Ingle has been in love with the perfect man since his fourteenth birthday. Unfortunately, his perfect boyfriend only exists in his dreams. But Aden’s always believed it was his destiny to meet his dream man, and he’s perfectly content to wait around for him to walk into his real life.

When he meets Logan Price at a Hotel/Restaurant Trade Show, he finds himself drawn to this man who shakes him out of his dream world. Pretty soon, the flesh and blood reality is becoming more appealing than the fantasy. The only problem is Logan lives half way across the country in California.

Aden’s going to have to choose whether to give up everything he’s built for himself professionally and uproot his whole life for Logan, or wait for the man from his dreams to become a reality.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices.

When clumsy Aden finally finds an ideal boyfriend, will the man of his dreams appear to wreck the budding relationship? Aden is a bit of an odd ball. He’s clumsy, neurotic, obsessed with karma, and has been dreaming of a mystery man for over a decade. Yet despite all of his eccentricities, Aden has found a man who loves him for all his zany quirks in fellow restaurateur – Logan. Logan soon falls in love with Aden and wants a committed relationship. But that means the cross-country lovers will have to make some compromises. At the same time, Aden’s dream man seems to have materialized in the flesh to throw some confusion into the mix.

This is the perfect summer story for fans of romantic comedies. A reader who enjoys quirky, funny and romantic movies where the lead character is a total klutz with few, if any, social abilities, yet has a charm in all their lost, hopelessness – this book will be right up your alley. Aden is a sweet, handsome, good looking and accident-prone klutz who frequently blurts out explicative and carries on long conversations with his conscience. At the same time Aden is driving everyone crazy with his screwball behavior, he finds love in an unlikely source. Logan is sweet, patient, and loving with a few of his own quirks and eccentricities. Together the two manage a quick courtship followed by a long distance relationship. The fast paced, humor driven story shows the realities of long distance relationships and the potential pitfalls in drastic changes while offering charming humor as the characters laugh at themselves.

The story is put together somewhat awkwardly as the past, present, and future are all mixed with dream sequences of Aden’s mystery man. There are few clues to show which scene is which as the story begins with Aden’s farewell party and then shows flashbacks to how he met Logan and finally catching up to the present with the big decisions Aden must make towards the end. This leads to a disjointed reading experience until the flow of the story is established and then the engaging dialogue and over the top; outrageous characters start to take over. The cast is just as ridiculous and humorous as the main character so be sure to read this with the light, easy feel it is intended. The characters are all exaggerated, as are the situations, which will appeal to some readers and maybe not to others.

The prose is engaging and entertaining, perfect as a fun, summer read. There are a few problems and this book will be more successful with those who enjoy pop culture driven romantic comedies with mostly unreal situations and characters. However, the exaggerated tones lend a very humorous thread woven tightly throughout the story.

“Ink” is the second story in this collection, hot and spicy with some good bondage and hot sex. A total turn on, with a twist I didn’t see coming. I never thought getting a tattoo could be so sexual.

“Black Rose Beach” is a story about a girl who is not a vamp but likes to taste blood. She goes to the beach and meets a sexy neighbor who she thinks is like her, but he is really a vampire. Now this story really threw me off. First she attempts to take blood without his permission, and then later in the story there is a big power play between the two. More than once I felt like the human girl had more control over the situation than the vampire, which made for a weak lead guy and that just doesn’t work for me.

“Fighting Fire with Fire” was a definite good read. Who would ever think of a super hot, sexy vampire being a stud muffin fire fighter? A double dose of hotness in a powerfully sexy read.

It was one of the best anthologies I have ever read, overall. All the stories were fun, sexy and full of the fantasy of vampires. Guaranteed to make you wiggle in your seat, I have no doubt you will love it as much as I did.

Two years ago, Elantho’s lover drowned in a terrible accident. Now, still grieving, he is sent south to the island of Tash to recruit Eshandri, son of the local matriarch, to join the Blue House of Lachant. What Elantho finds, however, is a powerful being who does not need instruction, and who offers Elantho the promise of a freedom he has never known—and a love he never thought to experience.

How long must you have known someone before you can say you loved them? This is the question Elantho wrestles with throughout this sweet, contemplative story. Everyone tells him he could not have loved Omis, whom he only knew for a few weeks and only made love to once, but when Omis dies in a horrible fishing accident, the pain is no less sharp and real than if he had loved him for years. He reacts to the puzzled questions by becoming as insufferable as possible, snappish, ill-tempered and sulky, to keep people at a distance. If no one ever gets close again, this terrible pain can never happen again. It’s a good thing Eshandri, a talevé prince of the Southern Islands, has other ideas.

Elantho’s character could easily have come across as an annoying caricature, a spoiled prince who has never learned how to be accepting of others, angry at his exile from the wealth and pomp of the mainland. Bryce keeps us firmly and deeply in his point of view, though, so the reader understands his anguish and frustration, the loss of his faith both in his goddess and in himself, so his inner struggles are poignant rather than irritating, his loss and confusion real and heartbreaking. Eshandri’s patient and persistent courtship provides the perfect foil to Elantho’s brooding, his humor and overt, unabashed sexuality just daring Elantho to come out of his carefully constructed isolation. As always, Bryce paints beautiful scenes for the reader and writes convincing, well-conceived dialogue, the main characters identifiable by their voices without a surfeit of tags and the inevitable culture clash is, once again, masterfully done. Elantho is revolted by the gaudy attire and the myriad tattoos the island talevé wear, while Eshandri is puzzled over Elantho’s plain appearance, which seems, to him, less than the homage the Lady of the Waters deserves. As with Bryce’s other Water Lovers of the Islands story, The Fifth House, the story is told in a quiet way, without violence or an intricate plot. While I miss, to some extent, the gripping tension and high drama of some of her earlier Water Lovers books, this is a different flavor of story and should be approached as such. The ending is a bit abrupt, leaving questions unanswered which one can only hope will be addressed in a future story.

This is a sweet, heart-wrenching tale of a young man who has realized with the death of his first love that he has been bitterly lonely all his life. How he comes to this realization and what he finally does about it is well worth the short read. The prose draws the reader into this world so skillfully, the difficulty is in returning to the real one.

Fortune favors the brave…

Nicky thinks she made the biggest mistake of her life four years ago — falling into bed with her two best friends. Not that it would have been a problem if she hadn’t heard them regretting what they shared the next day. Since that night, Nicky’s been eating her heart out. She loves her boys too much — she can’t bear the thought of coming between them.

Something’s got to give. Anyone with eyes can see Nicky and her men belong together. A couple of helping hands from unlikely, magical sources give Nicky what she needs — a second chance to claim her men — if only she’s got the courage to take what she wants…

Fortune’s Favor is a good old-fashioned fairy tale… with threesomes and sex magic and giant dildos. Seriously, though, isn’t that what you’re here for? Lia Connor’s little book about second chances and true, honest-to-goodness magic is just the sort of thing I always look for in fantastic romance. It’s written with the purest kind of escapism in mind, and this is precisely what it delivers. Whereas it can be great fun to read an angst-ridden space opera or the saga of a half-human/half-elf discovering the world of BDSM, sometimes you just want to curl up with a book about how the world could be magic, and how that magic could lead a bunch of idiots to love and lasting happiness. Nicky has issues with trust, and the central misunderstanding of the book stems from this. Normally I would bring down the fires of heaven on an author who allowed not talking about something to create distance between her lovers, but in this case it’s in character and can be forgiven. Ross and Taylor are lovely, but are really not complete characters. They are always Ross-and-Taylor, the dynamically gay duo who Nicky is collectively in love with. The fact that you can barely tell them apart is troubling, and it says a lot about the rest of the characters that the story moves smoothly around them

In spite of these flaws, there is a lovely intimacy to this story, like it was written with real love and a deep interest in the characters. Best of all, it deals with magic—real, fairy tale magic. The kind that’s granted by a mysterious stranger as a reward for a good deed, but also the kind that can get terribly out of control if not used wisely. Fortune’s Favor is earthy, sexy, and over-the-top romantic, and an original urban fairy tale designed for all us who never grew out of wanting a happily-ever-after.
