This book was a page turner that was riddled with plot twists and some wonderful forays into the BDSM world. We journey with Lexi on her maiden voyage to Hades, a local BDSM club and revel in her first experience. Authors McCall and Gormley do a great job of breathing life into Lexi and her issues with her weight. She takes on “Master Demon” and his fellow Doms at his club, and when things go wrong, you really feel for her as she tries to put her world back together. How do you do that when you have had a brush with the incredible?

Sam is an interesting character. Also known as “Master Demon”, he failed to provide Lexi with a safe virgin D/s experience, so he tries again to stay in her life as plain old Sam, a vanilla style boyfriend. Let’s just say that Lexi isn’t fooled for long and karma can really be a nasty boomerang when you are looking the wrong way.

This story was a rollercoaster ride that had me turning the pages and rooting for Lexi and Sam to get together and make it a go. The stick insect friend and Sam’s ex-wife make a great foil for this story. So do the three delicious Doms that pal around with Sam at the Hades Club. The dialogue is natural, the sex scenes are hot enough to scorch my fingers as I turned the pages and I loved the way the book began.
