Meet the fascinating people of the mysterious town of Hermana…

Maggie can’t seem to let go of her past, emotionally or physically, yet she is a tarot reader who helps others do just that. A friendly and outgoing Sagittarius, she romps through a string of one-night stands, all the while wondering if she’ll ever find true love.

One of her clients, Steve, believes there’s a secret tied to his dead mother’s locket and comes to Maggie for a reading. Their fingers touch and sparks fly between the welder and the tarot reader-but can it last?

As Maggie helps Steve unravel his past, she learns that opposites can attract if she keeps an open mind and open heart. With the help of her friends and the mystical vibes of her hometown, can Maggie tame her restless Sagittarius libido and be happy with one man?

Welcome to Hermana, a magical and mystical New England hamlet where anything can – and does – happen. Just ask Maggie, your friendly neighborhood tarot reader. Because just when she least expects – or wants – it, she finds the true love she’s needed.

Maggie is scarred from her last relationship, thanks to her jerk of an ex-boyfriend. He’s left her hesitant and on a downward spiral of self-defeating one night stands. However, she’s not about to let it stop the rest of her life, even if she shies away from anything too serious. Steven has a problem. He needs Maggie’s help, and just wants a bit of her company. He’s willing to wait out her insecurities because of his more pressing need to know about his past.

Together, they make sparks fly. Despite being complete opposites in many ways, their differences fit together well and make for an exciting, spicy, and workable relationship. They are a real-to-life couple that have their issues but also have their ways of working things out. I liked them a lot. There was just something irresistible between the two that made you want to root all the harder for them.

Having read one of Ms. Giron’s horror novels, I was intrigued to discover she wrote in this genre as well. I was very pleasantly surprised. Sagittarius: Open Heart, Open Mind has a touch of the darkness of her horror novels along with some extremely intense and hot sex, all wrapped up in a mystical bow. Believer in astrology or not, this is one hot and spicy read that I highly recommend.
