Reader Advisory: This book includes scenes of wax play and knife play.

A while ago, I read the first book in this series. It was a standalone, as is this one, but I was hooked. Once more, Ms. McAllan, does a great job of pulling me into the world of Diomhair.

Secrets Remembered has a bunch of secrets and mysteries, first and foremost, who is the protagonist and what is she doing at Diomhair? Little by little, McAllan reveals the mystery and as she does so she also reveals amazing characters and a blooming romance that is off the charts.

Sadly, I felt that the change in Ailsa, the heroine, is too radical because she goes from hardly having any knowledge about BDSM and being very frightened to being the perfect submissive in the blink of an eye. From my point of view, the end became too fanciful and lost touch with the realism that seemed to permeate the rest of the story.

However, I would still recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for an interesting read with some sizzling BDSM sex.

Susanna might want Tony, but not for her parents—or his terms. She won’t settle for less than everything. She knows Tony’s desires and needs. All she has to do is persuade him that her cravings mesh with his.

Seducing the Regency Dom was a nice short story that left me with a big smile on my face.

Susanna is a brave young woman with a quick wit and an endless curiosity. Tony is an attractive man that is equally brilliant and more than willing to satisfy any woman’s curiosity. Both of them don’t want to get married for the sake of keeping society quiet. To do so they each have their own agenda, but as they meet sparks fly and not only in bed. The characters engage in some verbal sparring that had me amused more than once.

However, the best part about this book is without a doubt the naughty shenanigans the two lead characters get up to. It was great to read about two characters that knew what they wanted and fought for it, even if it was against societal standards of the time. Ms. McAllan knows how to describe sex and does it well, easily drawing me in and making me squirm in my seat throughout the pages. I have to say, that scene at the theatre was magnificent. Not to mention, the wax play, vivid and erotic to the limit. Oh, and the chair. The chair. I wonder if it was an invention of the author or if there actually exists something like that. Positively decadent!

All in all, Seducing the Regency Dom was a pleasant and erotic afternoon read.
