Melody Bennett’s parents trampled on her teenage romance with a drifter ten years ago. He disappeared without a word of goodbyes on the night they had planned to run away together. Since then, she cast aside her foolish notions of happily ever after and worked hard alongside the hired help to care for the majestic horses on her family’s beloved ranch. She refused to give love another chance and resigned to live her life alone.

Max Fortaine returned with a heart guarded by secrets and a sizable bank account that took blood, prayers and tears to fund. The cowboy disrupted Melody’s peaceful existence with stolen kisses and a promise for more. After a lifetime of running, mistakes and regrets, he vowed to reclaim the only woman he ever loved… if only her overprotective father didn’t stand in his way.

They were running away together and he never came back. She’s gotten over it and has pretty well forgiven him. She wishes she could forget him. That experience has made her prickly about relationships with all men. None of them are up to her standards. Especially the one her mother is pushing her towards.  They were dating and she caught him in bed with someone else, so he can go to hell…

Ms. Daulton has written an easy romance read with a western setting. The story has a feeling of authenticity. It’s something that could happen when two people love each other and one is trying to protect the other. I found it to be an easy read and wanted to shove the two main characters together before they resolved their own issues.

Melody finds out Max is in back in town by accident. The ranch hands are sharing gossip and she knows they are talking about her. She braces them and finds out he has bought a neighboring run-down ranch. She’s still living at home but she’s become a horse breeder and is building her future stock. She works for her father to pay the costs for her and her stock. She decides she’ll go check out Max. That’s either a blessing or a big mistake.

Max has a reason he’s been away for so long but he’s hesitant to tell her. She’s demanding to be told the truth. He gives her part of his reasoning and then asks if she can wait for the rest. He wants to meet with her and her father for that part.

Mr. Daulton shows the conflicts clearly, lets you know the love isn’t dead, and even manages to help Melody convince her parents she knows what she wants. Anybody who has controlling parents will understand Melody’s predicament.

This novella is a short read but it’s worth it. It flows well, has a good story line, and ends well. Take a walk in Melody’s boots and pet her horse. It’ll make you feel better.

Who knew pet-sitting could be so dangerous…or so sexy?!

Socially awkward Emma “Spider” Fisher prefers her laptop to people, so she’s more than happy to oblige her boss when he asks her to pet- and housesit while he honeymoons in London.

But it doesn’t take long for accident-prone Spider to lose a dog, get locked out of the house, and set off the house alarm!

So, Kamagra is a fine medicine in exchange of buy cialis viagra. In the late 1990’s George Carlin began collaborating with director Kevin Smith and made cameos and appearances in several of his bulk tadalafil films. Thankfully, her hot new neighbor is more than happy to come to her rescue. But Noah West is a mystery to Spider—and one she intends to solve.

“He thinks you’re an idiot for letting me in. He thinks I’m a thug. Oh wait. Scratch that. He thinks we’re both idiots.”

Emma Fisher or “Spider” as she likes to call herself is given the responsibility of pet-sitting by her boss, Zach, until he and his wife Hannah returns from their honeymoon. Working for her boss as the cyber security specialist allows her to work from home, and she is therefore the best candidate for pet and house sitting, I guess. Before long, she almost loses one of the dogs, gets locked out of the house, and finally meets the hot new neighbor who helps her get back in the house. This is just the beginning. Before long both of their lives gets entangled in a mystery that threatens their past, present and possible future together.

Emma is a beautiful but geeky woman who loves to play games. A confident woman, who develops her own personality a little late in life. She has worked hard to have her own personality, to be an independent working woman and that shows in the book. But during the beginning the book for me it felt like she had a crush on half of the guys she works with. I mean, I can understand, all of the guys she works with are hot guys. Still, it irked me a little because it felt like she couldn’t decide which one she had a crush on when in the rest of the novel it showed a totally different side of her, a confident know-what-she-wants woman. However, even with that it wasn’t difficult to get lost in this book. And I did get lost.

Noah West is the hot and sexy new neighbor. He is an insurance claims investigator who has retired but is doing one last job for a very insistent client who wants him to investigate Zach and Hannah. He meets Spider when she gets locked out of the house. From then on, their lives and problems get entwined with each other.

Noah and Emma are very much attracted to each other even from the beginning. It is fun to see the development of their relationship from neighbors, to lovers, to a couple.

One other thing I absolutely loved is the humor in it. The pets’ antics towards their pet-sitter had me laughing out loud, very, very loud, in the middle of the night to say the least.

This is the third book in The Psychic Detectives Series. I haven’t read the first two books of this series. I didn’t have any problem understanding what was happening. This book can work as a stand-alone but I would urge the readers to read from the start to better understand.

Haunted houses, Hilarious pets, romance, a mystery waiting to be solved. What more could I ask for?

The Countess of Aberford is determined to make a match for her sister, Lady Alice Emerson, but each man she brings to Thornbrook Park only inflames Alice’s improper interest in unsuitable Logan Winthrop, a rugged man once accused of murdering his great rival.

Logan’s determined to shelter himself from the pain of unrequited love—he knows the feeling all too well—but something about Alice stirs his desire to start living again. Though they fight their urges, the pair can only resist for so long; eventually they must choose between bowing to society’s rules or breaking them…

An Affair Downstairs is surprisingly, delightfully, unpredictable. Between the cover and the title, one might well be forgiven for suspecting the storyline, but this is not the case.

England 1907: and Miss Alice Emerson is not quietly going along with family efforts to marry her off: oh, no. Alice has her own list of things she wants out of life, and marrying successfully is not one of them. She’s a very singular character for her time period. Loads of leading ladies long to marry the wrong fellow, while Alice really just wants a lover and a life of adventure.

Of course, she’s not worried about falling in love, is she?

Her family wants no part in that plan. Her Countess sister is hell-bent to be a successful matchmaker. Logan, the rather ‘fallen’ son of a baron is both not-suitable and (although interested) not the sort to ruin someone’s chances to make a good marriage. He might be attractive for a host of physical reasons, but he’s not going to allow himself to give in to simple attraction. He’s a thoughtful man, and is acutely aware of his own reduced circumstances, regardless of his heritage.

Then there is always the good man; dutiful, reliable… still not what Alice wanted.

An Affair Downstairs is warm; in fact, its surprisingly heartfelt. Readers will sympathize with Alice, but truly fall, head-over-heels, for Logan. All the characters seem very real. Each has goals, expectations and disappointments.

There is a rather steamy moment in this, but well-suits the plot and there is more sexual tension than activity.

Fans of historical romance will find An Affair Downstairs entirely satisfying.

Dani Hart went from workaholic resident saving lives to running from the mob and fearing for her safety all because she literally bumped into an undercover cop – Blake.

Blake Herro was trying to stop the mob and keep people save but ended up putting Dani right in the middle of the fight.

Ms Fey’s use of detailed language got me hooked right from the very first character. She didn’t waste anytime in getting Dani and Blake into danger. I literally could not put this book down, so much so that I finished it in one sitting. It is a fast paced, suspenseful mystery with a whole lot of romance thrown in that left butterflies in my stomach.

The nail-bitting plot twists in 30 seconds just kept coming – each one better then the last. Both Dani and Blake’s past struggles really helped move the story along and although I was itching to find out what happened in the end I just didn’t want the story to finish.

I highly recommend this book to those who love romantic stories that have an air of mystery to them. I definitely enjoyed 30 seconds and look forward to reading Ms Fey’s other novellas as well.

For Kait, excitement and that one special man exist only in her dreams. However, everything changes when Ryu walks into her office looking for a job as a fire-eater. Now she wants nothing more than to turn her dreams into reality.

Besides taking medication a healthy and positive lifestyle goes a long way in overcoming erectile dysfunction. tadalafil 100mg Such drugs are helpful to relax muscles and widen the size of vessels in order to improve blood circulation into the male genitals and provides him ability http://twomeyautoworks.com/?attachment_id=286 cialis 10 mg to achieve or sustain firm erections. All of these are extremely precarious viagra in the uk to the body and can lead to severe health hazards. Kait’s attraction to Ryu grows, but can it survive the secrets he’s hiding? Like the fire with which he plays, this man is dangerous.

Embraced by Fire is a book which draws on the hypnotism of flame and the heat of sexual attraction. Ryu and Kait – the main characters – are drawn to each other physically and thrown together through dangerous circumstances.

This is a romance which revolves around a secret dealer in Kait’s company. The stakes get higher as the lust between the main characters blossoms into romance. The kisses are hot but I found the sexual scenes were downplayed and not as satisfying as I would have wanted due to sex scenes being fully played out in dreams as well as reality.

I also felt the beginning was cliché and ineffective – “Today was just like yesterday, and like yesterday’s yesterday”. The depression from the first line doesn’t draw me into the sparky and lively romance this turns into and it doesn’t put me on the character’s side from the beginning. “The only place anything exciting happened was in her dreams” was also not particularly promising for the rest of the book. Grammatically, there were a fair number of comma splices throughout but not many typos.

Ryu, as the love interest, is introduced quickly and described in great detail. I found this to be too much too quick and more of an info dump than a brilliant illustration of the character. Kait obviously finds Ryu to be incredibly attractive but I didn’t pick up on what made this man so special until much later in the story, when he’s playing with fire (literally). The descriptions of characters in movement were much better, more alive on the page.

That said, the book did turn out pretty good and I enjoyed reading it. Kait is a logical character who comes undone under Ryu’s skilled hands, developing her into a much more emotional and sexual person. I did feel at times her logical actions did not fit with her overly emotional thoughts but that may just be me and those only looking for romance could overlook these small inconsistencies.

On the whole, I found the book an enjoyable romance read, as long as I did not look too closely at the plot (which I found a little predictable). The characters are strong in dialogue and individuality and don’t match any stereotypes I’ve found to be worn out in romance fiction. Kait is an ambitious businesswoman undone by a fire eating god of a man and Ryu is a man who realises commitment isn’t such a bad thing.

Kenzie Butler is in love with the man who saved her life eight years ago. Her problem? He’s a Siberian were-tiger with the ability to scent his mate, and she wasn’t it. For years they lived across the hall from each other, helping one another with the aftermath from being tortured in a science experiment gone wrong. With each passing day, she falls more in love with him, even while knowing that one day Tiberius will find his true mate.

Tiberius Petrov leads a shadowed life. Kenzie is the only thing standing between him and the gruesome fate awaiting any shifter who goes rogue. For eight years the sound of her voice, the sweet intoxication of her scent, and the soft feel of her skin have kept him from turning down darker paths. But he’d always believed she could never be his. His nose was supposed to tell him who his perfect mate is, but it lied. He didn’t know if it was possible to develop a mate scent. All he knew was one day Kenzie didn’t smell like his mate, and the next day she did. Even after her scent changed, she kept insisting they were perfect as just friends.

After Kenzie survives a mysterious were-bear attack in her place of work, Tiberius learns the scientists altered more than his state of mind. Just when he thought he could take Kenzie as his mate he discovers he could be the biggest threat to her life.

Paranormal romance fans have a treat in store when they pick up their own copy of Going Under. Sure, it has the scent mate thing going on but there’s a definite twist which makes this book a lot more interesting and suspenseful.

Canines who receive chiropractic care eat better, generic cialis online deeprootsmag.org sleep better, and play better. Purchasing medications from cheap levitra pills click for source online medical stores is also helpful in treating postcholecystectomy symptoms.
I have not read any of the previous books in the series so I was a bit wary of trying #3. No worries – it makes references to a past but this tale is about the here and now and the challenges Tiberius and Kenzie have to face and overcome before they can realize their happy ever after. Poor Tiberius focused so much on the symptoms, no one thought to question the cause.

The one thing that stood out for me was the point the author made about communication. It’s always, always important in a relationship no matter how good it might be. Even if a person thinks they know their partner like a book, assumptions can poison and inadvertently destroy something beautiful. It’s a powerful lesson.

Kenzie is a mixed bag of sweet and saucy, brains and very human. I liked how she calmed Ty down and how she was able to distract him many a time with a sultry look and a suggestive tease. Hers was a fun character that played well off of the big, intimidating weretiger.

Ty a/k/a Tiberius is a mess. Yes, he’s big, surly, powerful and intimidating but he’s a pushover when it comes to Kenzie. She has this hold on him that’s been apparent for years and only now does he recognize what it really means, but readers will find out that even a man as smart and bold as Ty doesn’t know the half of what’s going on. How he deals with it is awesome reading, at times even insightful.

The villain of the piece, the true villain, doesn’t stay on stage for very long but his legacy is legion. The scope is revealed in this novella so readers of the series should be very happy at a potential resolution of one ongoing thread. There’s still something else that hangs over their heads but I won’t say what. The tragic and painful part comes from Ty’s family member. It’s unknown if this person is truly swayed or controlled and influenced to do what was done and continues to do, but it’s destructive no matter which way you look at it. I feel so sad for Tiberius.

Secondary supporting characters like Chad and Demetri and others are an asset to the story, and play well off the personalities of the hero and heroine. Phillip on the other hand is a tool. I mean that in both versions of the definition. He’s an idiot and he’s being manipulated and used against the protagonists for a very human reason. I want to feel sympathy for him, but he’s just too much of a jerk. However, his introduction also paves a way for a very interesting thought – why is Demetri so interested in the reason for Phillip’s collusion? What information did he find? It’s a subtle little hook but it’s good enough for me to wonder what is going to happen in the next book of the series.

As for when Tiberius and Kenzie get physical – readers will have plenty of opportunities to see them in action. Once Kenzie opened the door to that side of their relationship, it didn’t take long for Ty to want to make up for lost time. Have a fan at the ready.

Going Under is a paranormal romance junkie pleaser. It has motivation, suspense, many moments for Kenzie or Ty to prove how deep their love is for each other by what they’re willing to do on behalf of the other. When they are not dealing with the bad guys, the book is fun, frisky and thoroughly entertaining. I believe fans of the series are going to like it and new fans might be hooked just by this tale alone. I know I am. This story is a good read.

With a murderer on the loose, Max and Olivia realize they’re in too deep, too late. They’re getting close to the truth—and to each other’s secrets.

Things done in high school come back to haunt as preparations for a tenth year class reunion begin. Suspense, terror, tension, anxiety, and fear have the characters, both good and bad, on edge.

The “who-did-it” element keeps the reader searching for clues. The “what-really-happened” elements that no one wants to talk about keeps a reader turning pages.

Max Lyon had been the “bad boy” in high school and had not been a part of her group. He became a cop and is now a good private investigator. He senses that Olivia is holding back something, but he is still drawn to her just like he was in high school.

The sizzle and spice in the rising of their passion is woven into the story so the reader feels the ebb and flow of it until the storm of desire and love takes over.

The antagonist, so treacherous, is a cunning, smart killer in the beginning. But, as things accelerate, this once creative killer gets reckless, vicious, and determined to have what he/she wants regardless of the cost. The terrifying climax is breath-holding.

Rebecca York, after laying the ground work, sets the reader in the midst of a plot that bubbles like a hot cauldron with suspense, intrigue, and incredible love. The plot propels the readers along with secretive characters and action that keep the tension high.

While PRIVATE AFFAIR starts off in a somewhat ordinary setup, it does not stay that way. It picks up momentum and keeps a reader’s senses engaged with well developed characters and a plot that takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Good entertainment!

But as Jane discovers more clues about the villain she seeks, she’s faced with a possibility more disturbing than her growing feelings for Julian: What will she do if the man she loves is also the man she’s sworn to kill?

Secret agendas, wicked ways, and lives turned topsy-turvy propel A DUKE OF DARK DESIRES along on a turbulent undercurrent and sweep the reader into the action immediately.

Neither Julian Fortescue, now the reluctant Duke of Denford nor Jane Grey, really Jeanne Louise Adorée de Falleron, are paragons of virtue. Both did and do what’s necessary and expedient to stay alive as they work toward their own goals. When their lives collide, sparks fly, not with hatred, like Jane had planned, but with desire.

Julian’s three half-sisters add a delightful and important layer to the story. Miranda Neville brings these three young personalities to life in ways that enhance the plot and the development of Julian and Jane. The back story of all of their lives is subtle woven into the story, so the reader feels as if she knows the characters personally.

The characters captivate and the plot intrigues. The reader is pulled into a world of lies, secrets, heartache, horrific past deeds, and greed; yet there is humor and, best of all, love that runs like a strong golden thread through all the darkness of the story.

The antagonists emerge from the dark past of both Julian’s and Jane’s lives. They heighten the stakes to a fever pitch. The suspense and anxiety build to heart-pounding levels when protagonists and antagonists all come together at Denford Castle.

Miranda Neville delivers another page-turning historical love story that is memorable. THE DUKE OF DARK DESIRES stands alone, but some of the minor characters have had their own stories in previous books in this series. They will very likely become “want-to-read” books after enjoying this one.

Journalist Joanne Smith encounters Sicilian millionaire Dante Alphonso while conducting an interview for Life Today magazine. Dante has been well known to the media for years, where constant scorn has been thrown upon the playboy lifestyle of his younger years. He detests that reputation as he would much prefer to be known for his charity work for The Children’s Hope and Dream Foundation, an organization he established to help terminally ill children achieve their wishes.

Dante has already had his fingers burned by bloodhound journalists, but takes a chance on Joanne, inviting her to his home country to visit his vineyard and meet the Alphonso Family. Things begin to sizzle between them under the Sicilian sun as Joanne embraces their lifestyle.

A thorn in the side for Joanne is Dante’s ex, Carla, a strong alpha female whose family owns a rival vineyard in the area. Carla betrayed Dante before, so trusting any woman is difficult for him.

However, Joanne has a secret she has kept from Dante, which is stopping her from growing close to him. The secret is revealed after he invites her on board his luxury yacht on the way to the island of Lipari.

Sparks ignite when love and lust collide beneath a Sicilian sun.

Joanne Smith, a journalist, meets Dante Alphonso for an interview. Dante is very hesitant and suspicious of journalists as the relationship between him and the media has never been that good. He wants to be known for his charity work not for his previous playboy lifestyle. He invites Joanne to his home country, visit his vineyard and meet the Alphonso Family. During this working/vacation trip they get to know each other and start building a relationship. However, Dante’s ex who owns a rival vineyard in the area has already caused a lot of heartache to Dante that makes him reluctant to trust and get hurt.

Dante is not the only one with walls around his heart. Joanne has something that makes it difficult for her to get close to him and get on with life. This is not the last of it.

Another betrayal–or is it a betrayal?–tests Joanne and Dante’s relationship. The question is will they survive all this? Will they come out of this storm intact?

Joanne is an independent, career minded and principled woman. Dante is a millionaire businessman who does charity work however his past behavior gets drudged up again and again affecting the reputation of the charity. Both of them has pasts and hurts that they need to go through and they do go through the pain and forgiveness of it all together. That’s what I absolutely loved about this. They learn to forgive themselves and others.

Joanne and Dante not only have an understanding towards each other but are also immensely passionate. Their chemistry is sizzling. Unlike some books it is not lust at first sight. That is very refreshing. Their relationship at first is professional. No hint of any chemistry between them. Their relationship developed slowly. I absolutely loved that because it felt so realistic rather than the usual. I was better able to relate to the characters and story because of this.

The author has done a very good job of describing the scenery and location. I got transported to Sicily. It was like I was living the character. I was seeing everything described in this. This story is also very emotional and touching with everything that happens. The emotions that they feel are expressed beautifully.

Beneath a Sicilian Sun is a very tender and moving novelette, with heartache and love, forgiveness and pain, and family and children. A contemporary romance not only about the lead characters also about family. I give this book a good recommendation.

Love Me If You Dare is a sweet romance that made me ache and smile in turn. I fell in love with Reece and Cami and all the other quirky characters of Coral Cove.

Although the beginning of their attraction felt somewhat awkward, the more I got to know the characters and their stories, the more I liked them. And after a while, their interaction felt more natural and flowing. I think I had the biggest problem with a large amount of internal dialogue at the beginning, but after I got used to it, it became part of who the characters were and it didn’t distract me from the story any longer.

The characters were a lovely contrast at first, until Camille slowly began to reveal her softer side. This was done gradually enough to be believable. Reece, too, was a wonderful character, hanging on to the motel as the only thing he had left, until he finally realized that, in certain amounts, change, too, can be respectful of the memory of his family.

Even the pet iguana Fifi and the cat Tiger Lily were lovely characters that added a certain charm to the Happy Crab Motel and Coral Cove as a whole. The quaintness of the town was nicely introduced through the colorful characters and the descriptions of the fun events and old-fashioned places. It made me want to visit it, and it explained why Camille ultimately changed her mind about forcing Reece to sell his motel and allow Windchime Resorts to forever change the town.

This is such a feel-good story I’d recommend it to anyone who likes sweet romances or just needs a heartwarming read to cheer themselves up.
