A decorated hero, pararescueman Liam McCabe lives to serve. Six months ago, he and Rachel Flores met in the horrific aftermath of an earthquake in the Bahamas. They were tempted by an explosive attraction, yet parted ways. Still, Liam has thought about Rachel every day—and night—since.

Now, after ignoring all his phone calls for six months, Rachel has turned up on base with a wild story about a high-ranking military traitor. She claims no one but Liam can help her—and she won’t trust anyone else.

With nothing but her word and the testimony of a discharged military cop to go on, Liam would be insane to risk his career—even his life—to help this woman who left him in the dust.

Wild rides, pulse-pounding danger, gripping suspense, and simmering, sizzling, spiraling passion keep Rachel and Major Liam McCabe on full alert as they frantically work to save themselves and others while trying to foil an attempt to cause an international incident that could endanger the nation. WOW!

Both Liam and Rachel have issues about “love” that impedes their having a relationship, but true love doesn’t give up easily. Their slow but steady rise above past heartaches while they maneuver to stay alive and stop a horrific international situation makes for page-turning, breath-holding read.

UNDER FIRE throbs with sweet and sensual love, danger, greed for power, and with super heroes who have a unique humor that belies the perilous lives they live.

Sub plots enrich this story. Brandon, the veteran with PTSD, and Catriona, who owns a special dog sitting business, creates a story that is captivating. The machinations of the antagonist, who feels that the end justifies the means are scary as can be. His firm belief that he should be in charge and anybody in the way of his plan is expendable, creates adrenaline-pumping action.

Catherine Mann once again gives the reader a spellbinding story with special super heroes whose motto is: “These things we do that others may live”. She weaves together humor, love, alligators in the Everglades, murder in the military, dogs undaunted by danger, and an amazing, diverse group of characters that sweep the reader into the actions and emotions with a climax that is mind-blowing.

The pace and style of writing switches from fast and furious through sweet, sensual to spicy with a fluency and visual impact that drew me in. I read this through in one sitting; the author pulled me in and had me rooting for both her main characters.

While every romance is about emotions, Ms. Dee’s presentation of Cooper’s emotions when Galynn keeps her promise to let him know when she’s leaving is awesome. I appreciated the manner in which the author includes background information, thus breaking up the tension.

While the bad guy was thoroughly bad, Ms. Dee’s conclusion and resolution to the conflict was both unexpected and liberating.

I found Ms. Dee’s writing fluent and enjoyable and she is an author now on my ‘watch-for’ list.

We joyfully request your attendance at the wedding of Miss Angelica Cynster … but not until she and her hero lay to rest an ancient grudge in the Scottish Highlands!

Headstrong Angelica Cynster is certain she’ll recognize her fated husband at first sight. And when her eyes meet those of a mysterious nobleman, she knows beyond a doubt that he’s the one. But her heart is soon pounding for an entirely different reason—when her hero abducts her!

The eighth Earl of Glencrae has no choice but to kidnap Angelica, the one Cynster sister with whom he hadn’t wanted to tangle. But to save his castle and his clan, he must persuade her to assist him—and he’s prepared to offer marriage to seal the deal!

Angelica Cynster is known for being the most headstrong of the Cynster sisters. She never imagined her bold personality would be the key to finding her hero.

There’s a well known saying, “If you want something done right, do it yourself”. The mysterious Laird struck out with his attempts to capture and keep the two eldest Cynster sisters, now he’ll take the matter into his own hands. Imagine his surprise when his prey practically falls into his lap.

The long awaited third novel in the Cynster Sister’s trilogy couldn’t come quick enough for this reader. I devoured both Heather and Eliza’s stories knowing it would be the last book that would finally reveal the identity of “the mysterious Laird”. Dominic Debenham, eighth Earl of Glencrae was exactly as I had pictured him from the clever details woven into the first two books but he’s hardly a match for the formidable Angelica Cynster. She doesn’t behave as a kidnapped young miss would react in that situation. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say she’s quite content to be the pawn in his scheme.

Speaking of the scheme that was the underlying thread throughout the series, readers are given more in depth details as to why Dominic is forced to carry out his dastardly plan. In short, he has a crazy mother at home who demands a tribute in the form of a Cynster daughter to appease her need for revenge. What could she possibly have against the Cynster clan? I’ll leave that interesting bit of trivia for Ms. Laurens to detail in the book.

The setting for this book is different than the first two. It’s also available in dosages of 10mg, 20mg and 40mg and in quantities of cialis tablets online 50,100,150,200,250 and 300 pills. Ayurveda was the inspiring base of the creation of Nitric Oxide to precede sexual best viagra price capacity affectability & execution. Both Heather and Eliza’s stories took place as they were being transported with their captors to meet up with Dominic. Half of book three takes place in London and the other half at Dominic’s home in Scotland. Ms. Lauren’s writing is beautifully detailed. I could picture Dominic’s home through Angelica’s eyes along with the lush and craggy landscape on the Scottish coast. The sounds and smells described in the scenes add to the ambiance to draw the reader right into the pages. My only regret was how, in a few places, the details overwhelmed the story and were a little repetitive. Still, this didn’t stop my enjoyment of the book as a whole.

The title of this novel is a bit of hint to the twist in this story. Dominic’s plan all along has been to capture a Cynster sister to appease his mother. He never anticipated how he would be caught by the vivacious Angelica.

This has been a really fun and clever trilogy to read. If you enjoy a series that draws you in and has you anticipating each consecutive story, you need to give Stephanie Laurens a try. There are many, many more books involving the rest of the Cynster clan mentioned in this trilogy. Be prepared to take a journey into Regency England with the turn of a page.

Hunky cowboy Ace Riley wasn’t planning on settling down, but his family had other plans for him…The only way to save his hide, and his playboy lifestyle, is to discreetly marry his best friend, Jasmine King.

Can’t possibily last…

Fiesty city–girl Jasmine as just helping out her friend—that is, until their first kiss stirs up a whole mess of trouble, and suddenly discretion is thrown to the wind.

One hot cowboy, one riled up woman…

And they’ll be married for a year, like it or not!

Need to settle down? Why not marry your best friend?

I know when I pick up a book by Carolyn Brown I’m in for a treat. I consider her books like little socials with old friends. She brings back characters from the previous books all while introducing new ones. Now don’t let that be a deterrent. It’s truly a huge family reunion with spicy romance to boot. The words flow and I couldn’t put the book down once I started it. I had to know what would happen next.

Ms.Brown takes on two very popular tropes – friends to lover and secret weddings. While a lesser author might take the easy road with these story arcs, Ms. Brown doesn’t. Among them the most important is the effect of this poor health? In this you tadalafil cheapest cannot get the proper result, just according to the situation. Jazzy and Ace may not be able to see their feelings for each other right away, but I felt it. These characters struggle with real issues – if they add sex into the mix, will the friendship wither? If they give in and admit they love each other, will the other one not feel the same way?

And my favorite story arc – having to get married because the will says so. Again, this story arc has been done, but Ms. Brown makes it feel realistic, not forced. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some forcing involved, but I rooted for them to get married. I rooted for them to get that elusive happy ever after because I genuinely loved the characters. Jazzy is the complete opposite of Ace, but it works. They have a sizzle I couldn’t get away from.

If you want a book that will stay with you long after the last page, then this one is the book for you. Classic characters, a dash of spice and a healthy addition of southern twang. It’s a winner.

Meet the Blackthorn Brothers—three unrepentant scoundrels infamous for being mad, bad and perilous to love.
Who is the darkly handsome Don John “Black Jack” Blackthorn? With his air of mystery and menace, the whispers about him hint of highwayman or government agent or even dark prince. But no one knows what it is Black Jack does…or how dangerous he can truly be. Now Jack’s mentor has disappeared, and Jack must track him down before it’s too late. His unlikely help: the man’s daughter—the very woman Jack had once wooed and betrayed.

Lady Tess Fonteneau knows more about the fine art of clandestine activities—and about the mysterious Mr. Blackthorn—than he realizes. As their journey leads them on the adventure of a lifetime, their reunion is fraught with passion, high-stakes danger and the one twist of fate Jack never saw coming….

A young man kicked out by his own mother years before grows up to save his little corner of the world in the most unlikely fashion making this story one of the best in the series. In A Midsummer Night’s Sin I had hints the hero, Jack Blackthorn, was an unusual man just by how sinister he was depicted – he always seemed to know things and appeared when and where I least expected him. Without him being some kind of superman or preternatural being, how did he DO that?

The author answered it in grand fashion with this dramatic and gut punching finale in Much Ado About Rogues. It seems it was all in his training. Jack was taught everything he knew by a master of intrigue, but to his dismay he finds out that he didn’t learn all that the old man knew. And the revelations are enough to grind molars to dust because the master is not what he led everyone to believe. That is one of the knives in the back for most of the main characters in the story. It taunts and teases the plot along bringing intrigue, suspense, high drama and action that propels the momentum at a crisp clip.

The second turn of the screw came from Jack’s own mother. And what a piece of work she is. How Ms. Michaels came up with such a twisted scenario, I’ll never know, but it works like a train wreck – I couldn’t look away. How a woman could actually think that what she did was hunky dory is beyond me. That she could blithely ignore the ramifications of her actions astounded me. She has to be the most passive aggressive non-villain there ever was but she well deserved a swift kick in the pants – er, skirts. Wait until readers get a load of this woman’s schemes and the role she actually played in the chaotic lives of the brothers Blackthorn.

Through the three books, a reader is treated to a transition, from a fairy tale that quickly turned into a nightmare by the final tale. How these remarkable men made it through with not only with their sense of self intact, but their confidence too, was a feat in and of itself. But to become some of the most honorable and amazing men of the ton even with the stigma of being born bastards, is a testimony to a father’s pure but bumbling love. It’s actually heartbreaking especially once all was revealed.

Then there is the heroine. The genius wacko is actually her father. If I thought Jack was affected by the eventual ramifications, it was even worse for Tess. Ten times worse because she lived and breathed everything her father said, absorbed everything he taught her and as far as she was concerned, he hung the moon. As the many truths bombard her like a siege, Tess is thrown into an emotional spiral. Her only anchor is the man who had spurned her love all those years ago. And using the pharmacy drive-thru lane is certainly no visible variance inside accomplishment rate of the two drugs – appalachianmagazine.com cialis on line they operate in roughly 70% to 80% on the situations. The existence for erectile dysfunction is when a man can’t get a proper erection in his sexual part or when he cannot hold hardness in his penis for a longer enough times to finish his sexual desire or ED as the central nervous system is depressed by alcohol consumption thereby leading to a reduction in the level of serum testosterone which can lead to mainly during the ages that ED is likely. sample viagra pills In some rare cases, the discount levitra no rx overdose of kamagra may lead to cause or worsen Erectile Dysfunction condition. Only, it wasn’t a true spurning and didn’t that just make steam come out of the protagonist’s ears. Tess and Jack were actually victims. The internal conflict that besieges the heroine stems from sorting through all the lies and facing the bitter truths. I was treated to a heroine who fights, thinks, connives and manipulates with the best of them. She loves deeply and defends furiously those she cares for. She’s passionate and quick to anger but she comes across as quite rational. Jack would debate that point, however.

The emotional high stakes shoot through the roof when Jack finds out there’s another innocent victim about to be made a pawn. And at that point, I was treated to Jack the manly man. Everything he ran from, or didn’t believe in stood facing him and he had to make a choice and I positively swooned from the sweetness of it. It was pivotal, crucial and presented the possibility of a second chance. Jack Blackthorn is not a fool. He took that second chance with both hands, and messed up. He’s human, he’s quietly emotional and he’s realizing that if things weren’t as they seemed with Tess, where else in his life wasn’t as he thought? His search for the truth was another sizzling plot thread that kept me on the edge of my seat. How was the hero going to solve the puzzle? Was he really going to go home? What did his father want to say to him? And who is his father? Those are just some of the questions that the author dangled in front of me like a fat and juicy carrot throughout most of the story and they were quite effective. The answers were well worth the journey. It’s quite exciting!

Of course, what’s a romance without a little physical get together between the hero and heroine, right? Ms. Michaels didn’t disappoint. Those scenes were delicious, emotion driven and well written. The best thing was their growth. Through dialogue and revisiting memories of the past, I understood Tess and Jake’s previous relationship and it was volatile. In the present, it is no less dynamic but it has a richer tone with deeper meaning and a more mature emotional level. I liked seeing the transition and it made reading those scenes a pleasure.

As I’ve come to expect from Ms. Michaels, her protagonists are well rounded with fascinating dialogue that informs and entertains, there are red herring secondary characters and some bits of humor to keep the story from getting too dark. Much Ado About Rogues is a thrilling adventure of romance, intrigue and human quirkiness. I will miss the Blackthorn brothers because of how they bucked the odds and refused to fill the roles society set for them. That and their crazy mother. They are wonderful men who have found amazing women to stand at their sides and the author saved the best for last, Jack and Tess. Of any of them, these two lost souls deserved the wonderful happily ever after they eventually get and I couldn’t be happier. This was an awesome read.

While searching for answers about her past, Mary Reynolds encounters magic, zombies, and Edgar Allan Poe.

Patrick Shea may be driving a hack now, but he is also chasing the story of a lifetime in hopes of garnering a journalist position on the staff of The Baltimore Sun. At the home of René Molyneaux, he catches sight of his quarry, a Haitian Voodoo Practitioner called King Louis, but also sees someone totally unexpected—his wife, Barbara, who disappeared two years ago. She’s working as Molyneaux’s parlor maid. The problem? He finally works up the courage to confront her for the sake of their two-year-old daughter, Emily, when Barbara disappears yet again. While looking for clues to her whereabouts, Patrick finds himself falling in love with her replacement, Mary Reynolds.

Mary Reynolds walks like a lady, talks like a book, and is as pretty and polished as any lady in 1849 Baltimore Society. And so she should, up until ten years ago she was the beloved daughter of a Baltimore mover and shaker. Then, upon her mother’s death, Mary was discovered to be illegitimate and her life crashed down around her. She lost everything: her mother, her home, and her status. Due to the kindness of her mother’s friends, she went into service; however, she’s never given up on her dream of regaining her place in society. When she least expects it, Fate steps in and reveals a clue to her true identity and her birth name, Lenore. With the help of Patrick and his landlady, Mrs. Pym, Lenore begins to rebuild her life. Among her many shocking encounters, her biggest discovery is the one she makes about herself.

Mary Reynolds is not who she thinks she is. At first, her circumstances seem both regrettable and tolerable: the life of a coming of age gal in early nineteenth century America. Her challenges are intriguing enough… but all too soon, reality sets her spinning onto a whole other course.

Life will not be so easy.

On the other hand, a different kind of freedom might be attainable. Mary dreams of San Francisco and enough money to not be beholden to any man. However, in a strange self conflict, she does have Patrick to contend with.

Patrick Shea doesn’t give a second thought to who Mary is (he thinks he knows, of course.) He’s simply attracted to her. And yet…

I suddenly so wanted magic to happen. That magic wasn’t all that far away, as Voo-Doo King is in this mix of odd characters. Other supporting characters include: one much-attached slave and more than anyone’s share of well-meaning, crotchety, envious servants and one particularly ghastly butler. They are all well-done and believable.

This is a complex story, and the details are well-handled, occasionally amusing, and the plot will without doubt keep you guessing. The backdrop provides details that prove both well-researched and interesting,

The somewhat convoluted opening is more annoying than intriguing. However, a patient reader will discover clarification along the way. This is a small matter in a story that manages to be both continually engaging and entertaining. Occasional stilted language interrupts what might otherwise be described as a wonderful overall mood or aura. Billed as seductive suspense, Once Upon a Midnight lives up to its advertising. Ms. Scott writes a tingly seduction scene, and the suspense doesn’t quit from one page to the next. However, it is the characters that earn this tale a 4 star review.

Mary is such a delightful character. She seems completely real; like a friend caught in the most unfortunate (yet sometimes wonderful) circumstances. She’s brave and sure beyond her years. Her circumstances are out of her control, yet she soldiers on no matter where she ends up, with a wry sense of humor, a goal, and a sense of determination.

I highly recommend you read Once Upon A Midnight, because Mary’s story is not to be missed.

Meet the Blackthorn Brothers—three unrepentant scoundrels infamous for being mad, bad and perilous to love.

Handsome as the devil and twice as tempting, Robin “Puck” Blackthorn lives for the pleasures of the moment. His only rule—never dally with an innocent woman. But when an encounter at a masquerade ball leaves him coveting the one woman who refuses to succumb to his charms, Puck realizes that some rules were made to be broken….

Scandalized to discover that the masked man with whom she’d shared a dance—and a forbidden embrace—is in fact the ton’s most celebrated rake, Regina Hackett vows to keep her distance. Yet when her cousin vanishes, it is to Puck that Regina must turn. And as they embark on a dangerous journey through London’s darkest alleys, Regina will discover that beneath Puck’s roguish facade lies a man who will stop at nothing to protect her—or to convince her to take a chance on an unrepentant sinner.

A hero named Puck is odd enough but when the playboy and all around society charmer finds the woman of his dreams, the façade drops and the real picture is revealed. Readers are in for a treat because Puck Blackthorn is all man, with a core of granite and iron the bad guys never saw coming.

Ms. Michaels has a winner. I was teased with getting to know Puck in the first book about the Blackthorn brothers in The Taming of the Rake but nothing could have prepared me for the adventures that awaited this happy go lucky guy.

In this installment, I found further hints of the unusual upbringing he and his brothers had. For some reason, as easily as they explained the arrangement and as accepting as they appeared, I don’t think they truly believed all they’ve been told. Certainly Puck says something to the heroine in the final chapters of the story that surprised me. I found him to be a very observant hero. He had to be if he expected to survive the hair raising adventures the heroine swept him into.

Regina is a plucky heroine who made one decision that changed not only her life but left her eyes and brain traumatized for life. She saw something that was so gross and shocking, if the distraction of her cousin disappearing hadn’t happened, I’m not sure how she would have handled the fallout. I think I would have gotten sauced trying to forget. As it is, the heroine’s one accidental interlude with Puck ended up being the best, most wonderful and exciting thing to happen even her wildest romantic fantasies couldn’t have conjured.

One of the characteristic traits the author imbued the hero with was absolutely gorgeous hair. I know it was meant to be sensual and exotic in a way. But all I could picture in my mind was either Fabio tossing his long locks or one of the hair commercials that showcase silky, flowing tresses that shimmer and sway in an alluring manner. If Puck hadn’t turned out to be as gritty and physical as he did, I don’t think I could have forgiven a man having better hair than me. As it is, the hero knew how to play his assets to advantage and it comes in rather handy, even to the point of luring the lusting Regina to do wild and wonderful things with him. I rather enjoyed those scenes because Ms. Michaels wrote them with passion, intensity and with a romantic flair that truly entertained. They were extra spicy and delicious.

The plot movement during this book is frenetic and adventurous. The consistent external conflict was gripping and suspenseful because Puck and Regina have to find her cousin before an absolutely horrendous and most heinous crime could be committed. The daunting task of finding all the clues and putting the criminal puzzle together in time kept me glued to the pages. Puck had some help from his rather surprising and mysterious brother, Jack. Jack’s involvement was much more pronounced in this book versus the one previous with Beau. In A Midsummer Night’s Sin, he’s everywhere. For example, it is shop viagra online very difficult to regain. viagra pharmacies Regular breathing exercise and workout can do wonders in improving sexual health. It assists in growing your relationships in a better way viagra properien by opening up with the people around you. The condition evolves around male sexual health and allows him to enjoy the bliss of his side effects from viagra bought this sexual health. I don’t mean he overshadows his brother, Puck. I’m talking about how he appears every time something momentous happens, like he has a second knowing, or he has a paranormal super ability that makes him unstoppable and effective as a spy. How did he DO that?

My favorite part is when Jack and Puck work together because only then did I get a glimpse of what Jack is capable of. Not only that, but I saw a mending of family. Through a most disgusting situation fraught with peril and death, the brothers found common ground and I recognized a light bulb moment. They both realized they truly were more than brothers in name only; they really could be a family. I was thrilled to see that but it didn’t last long because then the scene exploded into shots fired, fighting with knives and daring-do that made my heart pound. What in the world was a guy usually into frilly lace cuffs and perfectly coiffed appearance doing with such ruffians? And why would a gently bred lady be right in the middle of it?

Because the heroine has attitude and a strong sense of right and wrong and no way was she going to sit in a parlor or library and fret like a ditzy miss. No matter if Puck really wished she would. Regina, I found out, had a way with her man. I loved how she worked him over in order to get what she wanted. She was a total delight – courageous, loyal, feisty, and with a stiff inner core a corset could only envy. That’s good because what she learned about her own family had a devastating effect on her. And yet, her choices after she and Puck figured things out made me respect her character. She’d make a wonderful addition to the Blackthorn clan – she just had to survive the ramifications of what they discovered when they found her cousin. Talk about heartbreak!

The happily ever after was refreshing after all that chaos and action. Ms. Michaels wrapped up their unusual courtship with a wonderfully written and romantically engaging epilogue ending. The last paragraphs of the final chapter were poetic justice. I knew what happened but what Regina was led to believe was for the best. And I felt very proud of Puck and Jack for choosing that route. They really are wonderful guys but I hope to find out just how terrific Jack is in the last book of the trilogy. This book revealed so many hints as to the many facets of his personality that I can’t wait to read it. Especially after Puck, in his clever way, wormed out a certain piece of information out of him during one of their few one on one scenes. It guaranteed it as an auto-buy for me.

A Midsummer Night’s Sin combines adventure and romance to such perfection, it’s a must read. I adored the characters, thrilled to the action and was entertained by their most scandalous courtship. There is nothing I can think better to do than to highly recommend this story to all readers of romantic suspense, whether they enjoy historical or contemporaries. This book easily crosses fan preferences because A Midsummer Night’s Sin has it all. Pick up your own copy and be amazed, dazzled and intrigued by this well written and gripping novel.

Captain Brody. I like to call him the gasoline because in this story, the sparks are flying when these two are in the same room. I’m not sure what’s hotter- the sizzling sexual tension between them, or the tension that flares up when the two get into a heated discussion. Either way, it gets very interesting during the book.

In this contemporary romp, Ms. Bernard takes us on a wild ride of fun, laughter, and emotion. The Fireman Who Loved Me has many plot lines going on and introduces a cast of characters that are memorable and realistic. There are mishaps and misunderstandings throughout, as well as a jealous woman who wants to be front and center, and a mischievous matchmaking grandmother started this whole shindig in the first place. This is one of those lighthearted feel good books that can be reread over and over again. Yes, it does have a few somewhat serious subjects, but most of the time, the novel is full of giggles and cheers.

This book is well done. I can’t wait to see what comes next with the Firemen of San Gabriel. It looks as if there’s a sequel coming, but I’m hoping for a full blown series. I am in love, and lust, with these firemen!

Looking for a fun read, full of hot firemen and a battle of stubborn wits? Look no further. Grab a copy of The Fireman Who Loved Me and a fan- you’re going to need it!

BASTARD ROYAL DAUGHTER, PAWN IN A DEADLY GAME

Sent to Scotland to be the king’s mistress and produce an heir, Clarrisa of York has never needed a miracle more. But the brusque Highland laird who kidnaps her is a bit too rough to be considered divine intervention.

HE’LL DO ANYTHING TO THWART HIS KING

With rival lairds determined to steal Clarrisa from him and royal henchmen searching for her allover the Highlands, Laird Broen MacNicols has a mess on his hands. Worse yet, there’s a magnetic attraction berween them, although he’s betrothed to another. But even an independent–minded lady like Clarrisa knows that a Highlander always claims his prize…

Clarissa of York may be a pawn in the forever struggle for power between the English and the Scottish Highlanders, but she has faith in her wits and inner strengths. This faith gives her a unique power among those who force their will on her by brute strength.

The acknowledged bastard-born daughter of Edward IV, Clarissa’s station in life is a dubious one. She’s of royal blood but not being born in wedlock keeps her out of the main stream of nobility society. She’s the “looked-down-on” relative often used for the family’s betterment. Clarissa has no say in the matter. She’s reminded daily of “her place”, “her duty”, “her fate”.

When she’s sent to Scotland in hopes she will bear an English-royal-blood son for James, the puppet ruler of Scotland, she sees life closing in. Then, as silent as the night shadows, Highlanders come. She’s whisked away. Once more she has no say about what they do to or with her.

Laird Broen MacNichols wants justice for his family. He wants to keep the Highlander clans from feuding among themselves so they can stand together against the Royalists. He’s a blue-eyed giant of a man, smart, brave, a man of honor—not a barbarian like Clarissa had been told. He causes her to have “wicked, carnal thoughts”. He’s temptation. Yet, she cannot give her trust even though she respects him for giving her a choice. Her virginity is all she owns and he lets her choose to whom and when she will give it.

The many strong secondary characters make the Highlander’s Prize rich with sub-plots. It seems everyone has his or her own agenda. Edme, who runs Broen’s household at Deigh Tower holds a unique place and gives wise council to Clarissa. Edme tells the young Englishwoman that there is a huge difference between being considered property of a man and sharing delights of being loved by a man. Another unusual character is Daphne. Her story brings out amazing truths about what lengths some will go to for true love and friendship. Oh, my, how tangled and secretive some of the lives are in this multi-layered story.

The antagonists, some less evil than others, but all threatening, create scary, heart-stopping happenings that make one wonder how in the world the hero and heroine will get out alive much less find their way to a happy-ever-after.

Mary Wine does a fantastic job of weaving together a very troubled time in history, amazing descriptions of Scottish castles, the unyielding environment of the Highlands, and horror of battlefields. She engages all the reader’s senses and pulls the readers into the time, place and action of the incredible characters. She weaves in the Scottish humor, sense of honor, Highland culture, beliefs, and fealty to clan. Best of all, she makes the reader feel the primal, sexual attraction of the hero and heroine. She delights with their posturing and their challenging each other as they find their way to awesome love that sparks and sparkles. Societal rules create trials and troubles for them, but their love transcends all and even reaches out to help others have and hold their own true loves.

Highlander’s Prize is another Mary Wine historical for the book shelf—a keeper to be enjoyed more than once.

Jenny is different. She can read people’s minds.

At age seventeen, Jenny Reid was arrested for killing her own mother. There was no evidence that an intruder entered the house. No one believed her as a teenager when she tried to tell them how she felt the killer’s rage saturated within the walls, that she knew the presence of evil had been there. The police thought she was crazy, not psychic.

A conviction was never made in the case due to lack of evidence. Jenny is still the sole suspect, but now, she is doing something about it. She’s on the right side of the law, an FBI agent determined to finally find justice for her mom.

Two men stay by her side—William, her partner, a darkly intense agent with a scary past and Nate, a bad boy with too much charisma to be a good thing. But, no man will keep her from finding out the truth about her mom. The time has come to set things right.

Nothing will stand in her way. She’ll come up close with evil again and face the ultimate choice—kill or be killed in these ACCELERATING CIRCUMSTANCES.

With the shadow of an unsolved murder over her head, Jenny could never fully heal from the past. Accelerating Circumstances is a story of suspense, murder, and deceit. Ms. The basic assumption is simple: to understand the structural problems of our body, especially those involved in the spinal column and reestablish its standard levitra discounts anatomical curvature and structure. Booze’s fast paced plot is filled with plenty to keep up the intrigue.

Jennifer Reid is a woman hiding behind many secrets. Her past is just that, and she doesn’t want anyone to know the dark details from all those years ago. But she also hides from a gift others try to seek her help with by using that gift. Jenny’s character is shrouded by mystery, and uncovering it was one of the best things about this book.

Jenny’s love interest seems to have caught someone’s attention. Women are dropping dead, and the suspicion appears to fall on Nate. I liked Nate from the start. He makes a good hero, and he challenges Jenny in many ways.

Accelerating Circumstances also follows other characters. I noticed this was book three in a series, and I wonder about some of the references in the book with previous situations are featured in the others. I found myself a bit lost at times because it seemed I was jumping in the middle of things not fully explained.

Other than that, I enjoyed Accelerating Circumstances. The suspense kept me turning the pages, and there’s not a moment in the story that sagged. The author did a great job with the setting and scene descriptions, and the characters looked out for one another. It seemed each person who played a role in the book had connections to someone else. There was also parts in the book written from the perspective of a villain, though it didn’t give away who it was at all, which made it even more interesting.

If you’re a fan or romantic suspense with a small paranormal element, then this is a great book to read. Though you may want to look for the first two books in the series if you like to read in order. The other books are Altered Beginnings and Predetermined Endings.
