TROUBLE ISN’T THE ONLY THING ON HER MIND.

The youngest and wildest of the Radcliffe sisters, Jade is the last to return home to her family’s sprawling Virginia horse farm and its unsettling memories. She never planned on a night of passion with a stranger before starting her new life as a teacher and riding instructor—or the shock of recognizing the man who gave her so much pleasure standing right there in her classroom.

Officer Rob Cooper is stunned. Not only is the woman who rocked his world his daughter’s second grade teacher, but she’s the troubled teen whom he blames for his wife’s death years ago. Worse, now that he sees her in the light of day, he wants her more than ever. Time has softened Jade’s hard, rebellious edge—she’s spirited, honest, and sexy to distraction. But will the feelings ignited in the heat of desire be enough to heal a past that needs forgiving?

The Rosewood novels are a pleasure to read. Laura Moore’s stories are her canvas, and she paints each page with vivid descriptions, realistic characters and snappy dialogue. The newest installment, Trouble Me, exemplifies how the author clearly loves what she does.

Jade Radcliffe is a young woman who has finally come into her own. Following the death of her parents, she sank into a downward spiral. Her teenage years were troubled, giving her a not-so-shiny reputation. Fortunately, with the help of her sisters she overcame her demons. After she graduates college, she decides to start a children’s riding program at Rosewood — the horse farm she was raised on — as she pursues a career in education. Everything is going according to plan, until the man she spent an unforgettable night with appears in her classroom and she comes face-to-face with her past.

Rob Cooper has loved and lost. His wife passed away five years before, leaving him to raise their young child. He’s tried to move on, focused on his job as a police officer and his responsibilities as a single parent. Everything changes when he meets his daughter’s substitute teacher. Jade caused him all kinds of misery in her youth, forcing him to haul the underage girl into the station on more than one occasion However, Jade is no longer a surly teenager. She’s all grown up, becoming a woman he desires beyond reason.

Can two lost souls find even ground to have a chance at a future together?

Jade and Rob have an interesting dynamic. Both struggle with their pasts and are trying to move on with their lives. Although there’s an instant attraction, there’s also a dark history. The conflicts are well done, as are emotionally heartrending scenes that call for Kleenex. A minor complaint would be that some of Jade’s actions are rash and portions of the story are predictable due to them. However, the book is still a treat and Jade and Rob are wonderful together. Ms. Moore doesn’t simply pull a reader into her stories; she keeps them there, living in the moment, until they’re swept away by the experience. The chemistry between Jade and Rob is deliciously hot. They don’t heat up the pages, they make them sizzle and burn. Returning characters are also a welcome treat, as the reader learns what has happened to heroes and heroines from the past.

Fans of contemporary romance will love Trouble Me. Don’t miss this wonderful series.

She must make a deal with the devil himself!

Portia Tofton has always yearned for brooding Mateo Cardea. His dark good-looks filled her girlish dreams–dreams that were cruelly shattered when Mateo rejected her hand in marriage.

Now Portia’s home has been gambled away, and Mateo is the only man she can turn to. This time, however, she has in her possession something he wants–and she finds herself striking a deal with the devil himself.

Mateo Cardea has just lost his father and, after the reading of the will, he’s also lost control of the family’s shipping business to his childhood friend, Portia. Portia Tofton has also just had a loss – her husband – and might possibly be losing her beloved home as well. Only by working together can they achieve what they’re after and eventually find so much more, too.

Portia is an interesting woman. Growing up, she was constantly pushed to the side and made to feel inferior and insignificant by both her father and her brothers. Mateo was the only one who ever took her seriously. After suffering through a miserable marriage to a man not much different than her male relations, Portia comes to learn there’s a whole lot more to her than she’d been led to believe. I really enjoyed the way she pushed herself out of her comfort zone, just a little at a time, and put herself out there for the world to see. Her ability to be a proper lady one moment and completely wanton the next was a refreshing change of pace. Mateo is my kind of guy. He’s tall, dark, handsome and a free spirit. His life is on the water and that’s exactly where you’ll find him. But when the time comes to help an old friend, he doesn’t hesitate to dive right in and give it all he’s got to see it through. No matter how badly he wanted to be back in charge of Cardea Shipping and back out on his ship, Portia’s problems came first. It was this caring and consideration towards her that really endeared him to me, even with their rocky start in the beginning. His complete reversal in thinking gives hope that not all men back in that era were as hard-headed as they’re often portrayed.

Tall, Dark and Disreputable is a funny and charming story of two friends finding each other again in the most desperate of times and discovering that there’s more than they had hoped for waiting in the other. Portia and Mateo’s story is full of adventure, dubious characters, and an attraction that just might singe your fingers if you’re not careful. I highly enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone looking for a historical romance with layers of story and intrigue built into it.

To put it simply, I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know more. Real life just didn’t compare with what was going on within the pages of this book. I enjoyed it a lot, and had a mix of happy and sad emotions at the end. Happy because things worked out, and sad, because I was about to leave this fun band of characters I’d come to connect with.

Elise Goodwin finds herself faced with danger when she learns the Faberge egg she’s bought belongs to a Russian mogul, Dimitri Romanov, but is Dimitri playing a game with Elise’s heart to get his heirloom back?

Elise Goodwin runs a heritage museum in Brattleboro, Vermont. She travels to Boston to buy some items for her museum at Sotheby’s auction. What she acquires is a delicious surprise that would excite any curator – a Faberge egg.

Enter Russian businessman Dimitri Romanov. He goes to the auction with the intent of buying the egg only to discover that Elise is in possession of it. His dilemma? He’s attracted to the petite brunette with doe-like eyes and a trusting disposition.

Complicating matters is Dimitri’s rival, Gustav Kelch, who wants the precious jeweled object for his own collection. Can Dimitri protect Elise from Kelch?

Who knew a clumsy, chance encounter on a cold sidewalk could be life changing?

Elise’s life is turned upside down when she literally bumps into Dimitri on her way to an auction. Though Elise’s first meeting with Dimitri is brief, the chemistry between the two is immediately apparent. Things continue to heat up when they go out for dinner. Their relationship becomes serious very fast, but their bond feels genuine. The physical connection between Elise and Dimitri is electric, but they have some very sweet moments as well. I particularly enjoyed it when they talked about their families and how they each celebrated Christmas.

When Elise obtains a Faberge egg, things spiral out of control, and her new relationship with Dimitri is put to the test. I especially liked watching Dimitri, who has been burned by a relationship in the past, open himself up to Elise and her family.

The plot was absorbing and wonderfully paced. As Dimtri and Elise learn to trust each other, Dimitri’s enemy, Kelch, is waiting to pounce. Knowing Kelch and his henchmen could strike at any moment kept me on the edge of my seat. I do have one issue with the plot. I won’t spill all the details, but I will say that Dimitri and Elise let their guard down at a very inopportune moment and Kelch manages to gain the upper hand. This situation felt a bit forced, and I found it hard to believe that Dimitri and Elise would be so careless when they knew Kelch was watching them.

Despite this issue, Dimtri and Elise’s negligence leads up to a climax that’s a real nail biter. All this suspense had me flying through the pages so quickly I was able to read the book in one sitting.

The secondary characters could have been a bit more rounded, but they did complement Dimitri and Elise nicely as well as keep the plot moving at a great pace. I really would have liked to know a bit more about Kelch. It’s clear he and Dimitri have been rivals for most of their lives, but the origin of their feud is a bit murky. I couldn’t help but wonder if there was a specific event in their past that set them on their current paths.

Overall, The Faberge Secret is a riveting, fast paced romantic suspense ideal for anyone wanting to slip into an exciting book for a while.

COURTING DANGER

Lady Evelyn Darlington’s first love was the law. But since a woman scholar meets nothing but ridicule from men, she has given up and chosen a future husband. Randolph seems adequate for the task: to provide intelligent conversation and not annoy her too much. Of course, before they can be engaged, she’ll have to do something about the murder charge hanging over his head. If only London’s top barrister wasn’t Jack Harding, object of all her unattainable girlhood fantasies…

AND SEDUCING SCANDAL

Jack Harding remembers Evelyn well—but the idea that the gorgeous woman standing before him is little Evie, the professor’s daughter, is incredible. He knows better than to enter a business relationship when he wants to pursue pleasure. Yet however desirable she is now, Evie is still Evie—stubborn, smart, and never willing to take no for an answer. Even though proving her betrothed’s innocence might just cost her her own…

Lady Evelyn Darlington knows law. She’s been reading her father’s law books for years. When she was twelve years old, she had a tremendous crush on Jack Harding, one of her father’s best law students. Being a precocious, charming, intelligent little girl, she’d done all she could to gain his attention, even learning Latin verbs as well as studying law books with even more fervor. Now ten years later, she watches Jack in court and knows she still feels a connection with him—for all the good it’s worth she tells herself. But she needs his legal help and plans to have it one way or another.

Jack Harding is a winning lawyer, called “the people’s lawyer”, and he loves winning. Every win is like a drug addiction. He wants more and more. The law is his mistress and demands his all. But when “little Evie”, now the breathtakingly beautiful, elegant, golden-haired Lady Evelyn with the turquoise eyes, asks for his help to clear her ‘soon-to-be’ fiancé of a murder charge, Jack’s body takes no heed of his brain’s logical reasoning. From the minute Jack sees the grown up Evie, he knows she’s nothing but trouble. Even as a child she had a know-it-all attitude. She’d been a little minx; he doubts she’s changed. She has a more sophisticated scholarly aura about her now, but she also has a determined look. Jack has no idea that his scent and the feel of his touch are intoxicating to her untried body and heart.

The tangled messes Jack and Evie get themselves into, as they try to prove Randolph Sheldon did not murder his cousin Bessie Whitfield, keep the reader intrigued. His lawyer friends, James, Brent, and Anthony rally to the cause while all the time giving Jack a lot of grief about his new “Lady”. Of course, Jack denies there is anything other than his sense of obligation to his old master the Earl of Lyndale, Evie’s father. The three lawyer friends James Devlin and Brent Stone inject humor, advice, and a touch of mystery while Anthony Stevens puts in a bit of cynicism and a somewhat crude attitude about women. He’s a divorce lawyer and knows too many secrets about too many ladies.

Other secondary characters that ramp up the action and the tension as the plot unfolds are: the hiding Randolph; Simon Guthrie, the go-between for Randolph and Evie; the Earl of Lyndale; the Earl of Newland; Evie’s friend Georgina’s father, Maxwell; and Bessie Whitfield, the lady of the night with a diary. Who are good guys and who are bad guys gives the reader some surprising shocks. Who would have thought it?

Tina Gabrielle uses the elements of the English Regency period to create a tantalizing setting for a plot that twists and turns from the halls of academia to the fetid alleys of London with characters ranging from nobility to rough, dangerous thieves and smugglers. Ms. Gabrielle’s well-developed characters, her descriptions that quicken the senses and the magical love scenes make In The Barrister’s Chambers spellbinding. How she untangles all, and ties up all the loose ends to get to a happy-ever-after keeps the reader turning pages.

I’m looking forward to James Devlin’s story In The Barrister’s Bed and hoping there will be stories about Brent Stone, the gorgeous, mysterious lawyer and Anthony Stevens, the cynical lawyer.

He’s a vampire from the big city . . .

Phineas McKinney thought New York City was tough, until he was attacked by Malcontents—evil vampires who consider mortals to be snacks. Saved by the good vampires, Phin swore to devote his now undead life to stopping the Malcontents. He’s got his job cut out for him when word comes that their enemy may be hiding in Wyoming. What does a city boy like him know about horses and campfires? Good thing he’s got Brynley Jones with him . . . if only she didn’t hate every vampire on earth.

She’s a werewolf princess . . .

Bryn believes vampires are seductive and charming, and that makes them dangerous. So she’s more than a little annoyed about teaming up with Phin, even if he is the only bloodsucker able to make her inner wolf purr. But as they hunt down the new leader of the Malcontents, danger threatens . . . and Phineas and Brynley discover a passion that will rock the foundation of their supernatural world.

I think I’m in lust with Phineas. Along with all the other characters in the previous books, I thought the Love Doctor was a little over the top and pretentious. What I discovered about him in this book where he finally gets a chance at being the hero, is that he has a lot more depth to him than the author previously let on. His story is more than a pleasant surprise, it was a delightful revelation.

The first thing I want to share is that I am tickled pink with Ms. Sparks’ inclusion of what has to be one of the most sexy and exciting commercials that T.V. has seen in years. To say I got a kick out of how she integrated it into her hero is an understatement. I remember when it made the rounds with all of my fellow romance readers on Facebook because it was not only well done but the man was incredibly hot. Ms. Sparks took that little idea and ran with it, giving me one of the most grin worthy and wonderful experiences that I’ve had since I began reading her Love at Stake series. In my mind’s eye I now know exactly what Phineas looks like and when I applied that vision to the man who makes the heroine alternate between growling and lusting, I’m right there with her. I want to meet a man like that and nip and nibble him all over, but I’m sure Bryn would have something to say about that.

Ever hear the song, Tears of a Clown by Smokey Robinson? That’s Phineas’ theme song. What started off as a joke had turned into a travesty, leaving him alone and lonely. I felt so sad for him. The author presented valid and emotion tugging reasons for the hero’s outlook on life and how it shaped him. He alternated between wanting respect and feeling like he didn’t deserve it. He made some huge errors in his past and didn’t think they were redeemable. As regular folk, humans are their own worst critics – we judge ourselves harshly – but only when we are in fact really good and honest citizens. Criminals couldn’t care less. It was heartbreaking to realize Phineas couldn’t get past his mistakes and thought himself as nothing but a petty criminal. levitra 10 mg It is manufactured clinically in clean room facilities by Ajanta Pharma and supplied in a range of benefits which not only helps to overcome the condition, but would never quest for solution. As an anti aging agent, the herbs are also very powerful to http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482458820_add_file_3.pdf purchase cialis online increase strength and vitality. Men who have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and depression are seen as opting to continue the relationship and for resigning themselves to the situation, which deprives them of sexual intimacy viagra online in canada over a long haul. It is available in different order generic viagra flours to cater to your taste buds as well. It took Bryn to force him to see the truth by seeing himself through her eyes, and that was an excellent way to show the healing power of love. It packed a powerful punch.

Bryn needed healing as well, but it’s not from something she did as it was something done to her. But first, she had trust someone and with that person, boldly find the courage to stand up and face her fears. That was a hard thing to do when she felt all alone and abandoned. She had good reasons for feeling that way and they were truly awful. The interesting quirk about her character is that even though she felt helpless and hunted, she did find ways to fight back, to help others and to change things that no one wanted to change. The heroine certainly earned the title of “hero” because she didn’t talk, she did, she acted and she made a difference. I liked that about her. Passive aggressive retaliation can be quite effective. Oh, but when she’d finally had enough? When scary push came to threatening shove, I was awed by what the author chose to have happen to Bryn. That was so cool! It was a total surprise not only for me but for a certain jerk of a person. I was so proud of her.

Secondary characters abounded in this book, much to my delight. I always enjoy it when folks arrive from previous stories to help out and kick Malcontent derriere when needed. This tale used them to good effect. There was lots of action, growling, shooting and chasing. The villains were a carryover from the last couple of installments but readers can be assured that Wanted: Undead or Alive can stand on its own merits. Ms. Sparks did throw in plenty of background information to catch a new reader up to speed without being overwhelming or resorting to ‘telling’.

Here’s another aspect of this series that I am pleased with. Even though this is book number twelve, the author continues to earn my devotion because of something she hasn’t done. She has not let this series spiral down into dark depravity and violence. So many of my favorite paranormal series have taken this route to such a degree, it’s no longer worth my time to read in order to reach the HEA. I’m too stressed, am not entertained and find that pushing the envelope to make the villain even worse than the one before does not interest me enough to see his/her downfall. Ms. Sparks has consistently presented stories that have a wonderful balance of light drama and suspense, interesting and varied characters, fun romances and a sense of humor that is refreshing, and runs the gamut of knee slapping and grin inducing or snorting soda out my nose when I least expect it. I can rely on this author to mix things up a bit to keep things fresh and quirky while delivering a story about people I continue to want to know about, to follow and be amazed at. The villains are no less nasty and troublesome but they don’t undermine the romance nor do they overshadow the intent of the story. Even with Queen Corky at her worst, I had the best time.

The dialogue was entertaining and the back and forth snapping between Bryn and Phineas was very insightful. I felt bad for the poor trees, enjoyed getting to know Phineas’ brother, was proud of Phil when he stood up to you-know-who, and got the biggest charge out of Digger and his aluminum hat wearing dog. The pace of the plot was brisk where it needed to be and slowed down when I wanted it to so I could savor the growth of the hero and heroine’s relationship.

Wanted: Undead or Alive is a hoot. There’s plenty of action, thrills and romance to keep a reader satisfied and entertained. It was a long time in coming but Phineas’ happy ever after was worth the wait. I definitely recommend this book to fans of not only the series but any paranormal romance fan who enjoys a smile with their teeth and fur. It’s a keeper and I’m thrilled to add Wanted: Undead or Alive to my pile of beloved books.

When the Earl Of Kinloss, Devan Murray, wrongfully blames Elisabeth for his sister’s death, Elisabeth finds herself being accused of witchcraft. Devan is soon betwitched by Elisabeth, but can he put aside his grief and woo her before it’s too late?

What a delightful sight to see a fresh-bathed knight drying in the Scottish sunlight. However, if one is running from kidnappers then first things must come first.

Dr. Elizabeth Douglas copes with being snatched from the twenty-first century and plopped down in sixteenth-century Scotland. She even puts her life back together after having the man she planned to marry snatched away by order of the King’s regent, but she is really tired of being kidnapped by the MacLeans. When the gorgeous knight, David Murray whisks her away to escape her abductors, she is not sure if she is being kidnapped again, but riding in front of him on his horse is magical and tilts her world. When he leaves her at her intended destination, a famous hospital with the friars where she is to study their methods, she feels a sad emptiness when he rides away. Elizabeth knows healing is her calling and sets about to learn how she can use her talents in this age before modern methods and medicines were known. The reader has a fascinating journey with Elizabeth as she moves toward her destiny, of course, with the Black Douglas ghost meddling along the way.

David Murray, Earl of Kinloss, an honorable knight with a sad almost unbearable past, feels the wholesome, pure, goodness, and giving nature of Elizabeth’s heart and soul as he holds her while they ride to the famous hospital, the House of the Holy Trinity, between York and Edinburgh. He comes to wonder if she was truly real or just a fantasy. Leaving her with the friars was one of the hardest things he had ever done. How things evole makes intriguing reading.

If you’ve read The Return of the Black Douglas, you’ll recognize many of the secondary characters like Isobella, Elizabeth’s twin, the McKinnons, the MacLeans, and, of course, the Black Douglas ghost with his humor, compassion, sage advice, his guardianship, and especially his meddlesome ways. He brings a unique quality to the story.

Elaine Coffman’s compelling writing style gives a definite sense of time in history without getting into the wars and fighting. She focuses on the lives of the ordinary people and how they live, love, and take care of each other. The conflicts come from personal agendas rather than from political ones.

In Lord of the Black Isle, Ms. Coffman sprinkles in many jewels of literature that bring to mind old truths that still touch the emotions and senses. The poignant quotes that announce each chapter are special bonuses—many of them bring back memories of college days and long discussions about life. Also, her descriptions are captivating. They quicken the senses. For example one can almost feel the cold water of the burns and the cold damp that seeps in and chills when the sun disappears and the stinging cold of the rain driven by the cold wind comes. But one also sees the sparkling beautiful of the harsh country when the sun shines brightly.

Best of all in the descriptions is the love that grows strong and true–mental, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, plus the love scenes that swamp the senses and sweep the reader along on a euphoric tide toward ecstasy with the hero and the heroine—sensual, sizzling, and so satisfying.

Erectile dysfunction is a disorder tadalafil 60mg where the man is affected by any heart disorders like stroke or regular attacks, then it is permitted to ignore this medicine’s use. Decades of clinical trials have supported viagra cialis achat devensec.com natural remedies, and they scientifically and clearly demonstrate the benefits. The sense of urgency intensified with every page and had me racing to the end of the book. I do have to say, I don’t think there were quite enough clues to solve the entire mystery. I was able to fit most of the pieces of the puzzle together, but the final piece really seemed to come out of nowhere. I would have enjoyed the story even more if all the pieces had been presented.

Putting it mildly, Grace is a complicated woman. Her life has been one tragedy after another, including a very bad experience with the justice system that leaves her unwilling to trust anyone outside of her immediate family. This experience made her willingness to help Jonathan in ways that aren’t exactly legal completely believable. Grace tries very hard to appear cold and aloof, but it’s all a mask. I really enjoyed watching her carefully crafted exterior melt to reveal a warm, caring, and very strong woman.

Jonathan is a good man, but he has absolutely no business being the CEO of a company. Like Grace, I couldn’t help but shake my head and wonder why he didn’t seek out help when he first began to notice that things in his business weren’t right. Even though he lacks a certain amount of common sense, Jonathan’s heart is usually in the right place. When things get dangerous, he does everything he can to protect Grace not only from whoever is out to ruin him, but also from the officials in law enforcement who wouldn’t approve of some of Grace’s “hobbies.”

Jonathan and Grace have chemistry to burn. They carry a lot of baggage that threatens to dampen the sparks between them, but their feelings for each other simply will not be denied. I liked that they didn’t ignore the past heartache. They faced it head on and had some pretty intense fights that had me wondering if they truly had a future together. Even though there was plenty of tension surrounding their relationship, it was easy to picture them as a couple. When they simply took a time out, they had an easy way of relating to each other that just made sense and had me hoping for a happy ending.

Kiss Me Slowly is a gripping suspense filled with plenty of danger and passion. Romantic suspense fans won’t want to miss it.

Lady Madeline Hayburn Has Money Problems…

Specifically, she has so much of it that she’s dogged by fortune hunters, including her bewilderingly attractive, penniless neighbor, with his wild nature and uncouth manners…

Weston Hadley Has An Identity Crisis…

Specifically, he’s just turned into a wolf while Madeline was watching. Now it’s up to the regal lady to tame the wild beast…if she can…

There’s that certain saucy something about those rapscallion Hadley men that makes a woman sit up and take notice while trying to act as if she’s not. Back in the day, women did not boldly ogle men no matter how devilishly handsome they might be. Instead they admired behind fans, in whispers and with covert glances. That’s the usual course but Lady Madeline Hayburn is far from typical, and that made her the perfect foil for Weston Hadley’s downfall. It’s that whole man, wolf, woman, mate thing that makes The Wolf Who Loved Me completely entertaining and fun.

Once again Ms. Dare has delivered a tasty treat by bringing together two fascinating and mismatched people, and the author has them fall in love despite numerous episodes of mix-ups, twisted intentions, humorous hijinks and serious drama. I was delighted to see some of my favorite people from previous books lend a helping hand to the two hapless lovers-to-be. There’s an incredible amount of sensual build-up and teasing that just about drives the hero over the edge. And when he awakens Maddie to the pleasures her own body is capable of, she’s not too far behind him in the wanting. That sense of frustration is actually quite funny at times due to the various reasons they keep getting delayed. It’s a very interesting courtship.

Part of the interruption comes from the secondary characters. Ms. Dare has not only brought in some people I’ve “met” before, but also some new and interesting people who are quite imperfect, totally improper and utterly effective in spicing up the plot conflict. The author does apply the frequently used “miscommunication/It’s not what it looks like” ploy to derail the forward motion of the romance. I suspect it was to allow the main characters to clear up their misconceptions about their relationship and focus on what is truly important – each other. Nothing spurs them quite so well as the threat of a strange man sniffing around what belongs to another. In that regard, my opinions of the scoundrel in question ping ponged all over the place. The one fact that stood out about that guy and which piqued my interest were the mixed signals he gave off leading me to believe he has secrets. Ones that I might be very tempted to want to read about in a future story. Only the author knows if that will be an eventual possibility. Certainly in this book, he was entertaining and integral to the movement of the story.

As for the heroine, Maddie, I liked her a lot. That makes the durable love making in place of cialis 10 mg appalachianmagazine.com we have now cialis. Boneless penis depends on the sensitive on line cialis veins for erection. Men want to last longer in bed and in acompetition to perform well they lead to tadalafil 20mg for sale early ejaculation. It is very important that good Sexologists in Bangalore call the couples and discuss the cialis prescriptions issues. In fact, she has one of the funniest knee-slapping scenes in the whole book. I felt so bad for her because she was so clueless and thought she was being oh, so clever. I simply could not stop laughing. As for Wes, he tried, he surely did, but even he couldn’t withhold from telling her what she actually did. The end result was pure giggles. Poor Maddie. She was so proud of herself too. That’s one bit of education I don’t think she’ll ever forget. **VBG**

It’s not all roses and playful barks. There is huge emotional turmoil that dogs Wes’s romance with Maddie that almost broke my heart. Two lovers from different levels of the nobility compound their internal angst with wanting the best for the other and willing to sacrifice everything to ensure they get it. Talk about tortured martyrs! Good thing one of them broke down and did the most public and profound action that ensured complete understanding. But I’m not going to tell readers what that person did because it’s so wonderfully unusual, knowing anything more would ruin the big moment.

The Wolf Who Loved Me is another wonderful story that will hold an honored spot on my keeper shelf. Ms. Dare has written hit after hit and this book is no different. The dialogue is witty and rapid-fire and it keeps the flow brisk and fascinating; the relationships are at times amazingly convoluted yet emotional and all the characters take turns acting silly, ornery, and honorable to a fault, fractious and altruistic. As for the protagonists, Maddie and Wes are terrific together. I enjoyed how they went from being strangers to lovers, from feeling unhappy to over the moon and from being lonely to bringing out the best in each other. Love inspires greatness in others and this story explores that saying in wonderful detail. The best thing about this particular tale is how clear every personality becomes as each person talks, complains, schemes, insults or makes jokes. They seem vividly alive and full of the kinds of faults and foibles that makes us human and yet, love finds them and redeems them. It doesn’t get any better than that. I adore Ms. Dare’s Regency werewolves; they’re so fun!
