By choice or by force, everyone eventually walks out of Rae Stevens’ life. Usually, she beats them to the punch. Now she is determined to save the father she barely knows, even if it means calling on the one man she can’t forget.

Wealthy, powerful, and sinfully gorgeous Daegen Tan has it all. Except the one thing he truly wants: Rae, the woman who ended their passionate affair three years ago. He is determined to have her back in his bed. This time, he’ll take pleasure in seducing her–and then he’ll be the one to leave. Except his heart has other ideas.

Can Rae stay long enough to give him a chance? And will Daegen be able to convince her that he isn’t going anywhere?

Rae is financially broke. She is literally counting her last pennies. She has done everything in her power to help her father who is fighting a rare blood disease. Now, she is placing her own job on the line as a last ditch move to secure a place for her father in a clinical study that may save his life.

This story is based on a great premise. Rae finds her father dying and rushes to his rescue. We find out many things about Rae, but we do not really get a full view of her past. That past involves a self-made billionaire Daegen Tan. He controls the clinical study that can save her father’s life. The rest you might well guess.

Rae’s father’s story is heart wrenching. The author spends time showing us how guilty he feels about his life and his inability to take care of Rae. Now that he is so sick, he is guilt ridden that he is a burden to Rae when she should be living her life.

Daegen appears to be a strong Alpha Male type who is made out to be ruthless. I felt like he still loved Rae and his ruthlessness comes from the fact that she hurt him deeply when she left. I like how the author brings out his disillusionment with Rae as an issue he has to deal with. His emotions are clearly raw and throughout the course of the story I understood the fact that she left him to pursue her career and climb the corporate ladder. To Daegen this was tantamount to a slap in the face. This vulnerability is his most redeeming factor as far as I’m concerned. He’s either angry or losing his temper but somehow does not come through as overly ruthless even if that’s the way his character is presented.

Although the story has interesting scenes and a strong premise, I would really like to have learned a little more about Rae’s character. I did get a lot of facts about the turmoil going on in both Rae’s and Daegen’s lives. Their relationship is strained to say the least. They have a history and the feelings are still raw.

Overall, this is an interesting story. Readers who enjoy an emotionally charged romance with lots of plot twists will likely enjoy this novel.

Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.

Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.

While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.

Suddenly Royal is a predictable story. It is quite obvious from the very first page that a heroine will become royal and that she will get a prince. But, that does not mean that it is a boring story! On the contrary, Suddenly Royal was a fun and satisfying read.
Even cheapest cialis australia something simple like being able to fall asleep more easily can have a huge impact on how a person would know that he is the victim of ED? The plot and premise of Suddenly Royal is very simple. Samantha Rousseau (the heroine) is a poor student with a sick father. She is fighting to keep her head above water. Suddenly she finds out that she is of royal descent. At the same time when this news is dropped in her lap, she was introduced to Prince Alex a.k.a. Prince Yummy. As quick as a blink Samantha finds herself living a life she never dreamed of nor is she prepared for it. The heroine now has at her disposal wealth, status, and finds herself experiencing huge sparks between her and Prince Yummy.

Suddenly Royal has two intertwining stories. The first one is about how Samantha is accepting her new role as a duchess, and the second is her relationship with Prince Alex. Despite its predictability and anticipation of the happy ending, Samantha’s new station in life is portrayed quite realistically including all the ugly things that popularity brings. Besides that, this story features great and realistic characters. Samantha is a strong, grounded heroine and her becoming duchess did not change her into some snotty or vain person. Her humility is so touching while her new strength after surviving all the ups and downs is very satisfying and genuine.

Unlike Samantha, Prince Yummy is not so developed and it does not change a lot throughout the story. Somehow I have a feeling that his sole purpose was to be strong and to be there for the heroine. Suddenly Royal features a very interesting and amusing gallery of secondary characters. They are well developed and their existence provide additional flavor to the story. I particularly liked Chadwick, Samantha’s personal assistant and friend all in one, but he is more that. For me he was really something special in this story.

Unfortunately full enjoyment of this story was disrupted by one thing that happened at the end of it. It is not so much that it happened as much I do not understand why this had to happen and what impact that it ultimately has on the story.

Although Suddenly Royal is a contemporary fairy tale, the story is well grounded and it nicely depicts how becoming suddenly popular is not as easy as it seems.

I had fun reading this book and I recommend it to readers who like contemporary romance novels that feature royalty.

Gerry isn’t someone I’d ever want to befriend (or marry!) in real life, but his brusque approach to socializing with people he doesn’t know very well made me eager to read more about him. He’s not necessarily a nice guy, but his ability to cut to the heart of the matter propels the plot forward on more than on occasion.

So much time was spent developing Gerry’s backstory and personality that it was difficult for me to figure out Lily’s character at times. Because this story is written from Gerry’s point of view it wasn’t always easy to differentiate between his opinion of her and her genuine personality. The few glimpses I had of her were tantalizing, and I wish more time had been spent on dialogue between these two characters so that it would have been easier to determine if Gerry’s opinions match what his wife would say.

The mystery itself was tightly woven and a challenge to unravel. Ms. Russell packs quite a few plot twists into this tale, some of which were completely unexpected to this reader. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Loving Wife is a spellbinding mystery about all of the unspoken moments that accompany marriage and other long term commitments.

Eve doesn’t know what to do when the Chicago police won’t believe someone is out to hurt her. Yet there’s also no one better at getting her all turned on than Billy Reichert. She has a feeling this is one blast from the past that could backfire big time…

Of course, I wanted to read this as soon as I saw it was a Black Knights, Inc. novel. The secret operatives in this organization are sizzling. Sure enough, I was whisked away on a spine-tingling adventure from page one and swept along in the action to the very last page. Whether in a deadly situation or in a heart-melting, ecstatic love scene I felt as if I were right there. Julie Ann Walker weaves together another fantastic tale of the men and women involved with Black Knights Inc.

Bill Reichert, an ex-navy SEAL, is ill tempered and drinks Pepto Bismol like it’s his favorite quaff. For over a decade he has defied death, defused IEDs, and did whatever dangerous task came his way. Now a member of Black Knights Inc. he still courts danger. He helped rescue his sister Becky and her rich, socialite friend Eve Edens from Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean about a year ago. Eve is the reason he acquired the name “Wild Bill”. She broke her vow to him when she was nineteen and it broke his heart. He is snarky to her and avoids her if he can.

Eve is at her wits’ end. The police don’t believe she’s in danger nor does her father or ex-husband. Her cousin Jeremy Buchanan who works vice in the police department cannot keep her safe. In desperation she turns to Black Knights Inc. knowing Bill will not be happy to see her. She is still in love with him but understands why he is the way he is. When he went into the military, she caved in to her father’s pressure and married Blake Parish, a rich man who moved in the same social circles as the Edens. Now divorced, a respected marine biologist, and a lots wiser, she longs to set things right with Bill. He is no longer the laughing, fun-loving, sexy, twenty-one-year-old she fell in love with; he is a world weary soldier, hard, impatient, and has a menacing air about him.

Only a few of the men are at Black Knights Inc. headquarters when she arrives asking for help, but they take her in. Bryan “Mac” McMillan threatens Bill if he is not nice to her. Of course, the adorable Ace, who is admittedly gay, pampers Eve, fusses over her, and touches her often as they talk, making Bill angry enough to bite nails. The language these guys use is atrocious, graphic and vulgar, yet it seems to fit their way of life.

Born Wild is chock full of scary, life-threatening happens. The shooting at Red Delilah’s Biker Bar, the search for Dale Pennyworth, a stalker, on the means, darks streets of Chicago, a wild storm on Lake Michigan while Bill and Eve are in her sailing yacht on their way to a hideout, a good-old-fashioned shoot out in a deserted parking lot, and a love scene that raises one’s temperature, accelerates the heart rate, and sends the imagination soaring. “Get-the-job-done” heroes who are also breathtaking lovers and heroines who match them every step of the way make Black Knights, Inc. novels rollicking, riveting, and romantic. Super reading!

Anora, the shepherdess, finds a half-naked man in her bed, so what’s a woman living alone in a cottage in the Lowlands of Scotland supposed to do? Prod him with her pitchfork to chase him off! Only the man is not just a traveler seeking her bed for a rest—but a wounded Highlander, who fights back, swinging his sword!

Niall MacNeill is searching for a Frenchwoman of nobility to escort to his cousin’s castle for safekeeping, when he and his friend, Gunnolf, are attacked by another Highland clan, seeking the same woman. The other Highlanders wish to sell her to the highest bidder—English or French—it does not matter.

Niall takes refuge in a sheepherder’s cottage to heal up from his wounds and discovers the shepherdess taking care of him may very well be the woman he seeks. He has no intention of doing anything but what his cousin requests of him—ensure her safety on their way to Craigly Castle—but when the lass so bravely wields her pitchfork at him, he is thinking of other, more interesting possibilities.

Having a heroine as a shepherdess is a very unique angle I’d never seen before. A woman more at home with her sheep and a dog than with her fellow man has either relationship issues or something to hide. In this case, it’s something to hide; and its discovery was an interesting journey.

Niall is kin of the Laird of Craigly castle. This tale is part of a series loosely based on following the male kin of the Laird on their rocky road towards finding their wives. So far, every single novel has been interesting, entertaining, and all are complete standalones. This one is very much a standalone read and continues the thread of a strong willed yet honorable Highland warrior finding his match in an equally strong heroine who isn’t a pushover no matter how sexy the hero might be. In Niall’s case, he’s a very determined and focused man who just happens to be sexy, and he knows it.

Anora is the unusual heroine. She’s different because she lives alone, tends her sheep and prefers her life to be exactly as it is – controlled and predictable. She’s independent, feisty, and is self-assured. Thing is, her life isn’t at all what a reader is first lead to believe. Yes, she’s hiding something. And yet, she’s not. She’s been herself for so long that being any other way is an anathema to her. Eventually, she’s going to have to face the truth and all that it entails. The heroine has choices to make and they aren’t the light and fluffy kind.

I think that’s what made Anora an interesting character. The author slowly fed me tidbits of who she might really be and as the story unfolded, allowed certain facts that supported the possibility to be revealed. It was the interaction between the heroine and Niall after each reveal that made for engrossing reading, mostly because each time something came to light, it affected their roles and their relationship to each other. It’s how they worked around it or with it to get beyond the conflict that it created which contributed to the effectiveness of the romance plot.

I enjoyed the dialogue between both Anora and Niall because it made their personalities come to life. I liked their teasing banter because it illustrated how close they were becoming. Add in the silly jibes Niall and Gunnolf traded between each other and it further reinforced how likable they all were as characters. Even Charlie, the dog, was highly entertaining and his furry personality came through quite clear. Scenes where Charlie interacted with Anora, Niall and Gunnolf were some of my favorite parts because I could “see” them happening for real. Ms. Spear wrote the dog’s antics very true to life.

Not everything jived for me during the book. I am not sure how to describe the off-note feeling I received. I thoroughly enjoyed the romance and felt it was the strongest element of the whole book. The conflict was a good choice and it was believable. It was the execution of the characters that provided some elements of the conflict that didn’t feel quite right to me. Matthew annoyed me and his actions confused me. Throw in Pierre and the Baroness and again, I wasn’t comfortable with how they were written. I think it’s possible that there was too little information about them coupled with their sudden appearance and how supposedly they were super important to the overall plot conflict that didn’t make it work for me 100%. I understand from the heroine’s POV that there was no real way to differentiate between friend or foe, especially when everyone except Niall and Gunnolf were acting as foe. That’s the feeling I got. I was waiting for the drama and suspense to feel like balancing on the edge of sharpened knife, instead it felt more like walking on a plank – only a little precarious. The only times I felt antsy with suspense were the sword fights and the river scene. Those were pretty cool and I liked that the drama and action were so strongly written. It’s a good example of the tighter quality of writing I’m used to seeing from Ms. Spear.

One thing that did not disappoint is when Anora and Niall finally take the physical step. Nothing about the heroine is typical and the same can be said for her first intimate encounter. The location and what lead up to that moment was handled in a unique and thoroughly satisfying manner. The hero is an unusual combo of practical and romantic gestures all wrapped into one sexy package.

The Highlander is a charming and delightful romance. It’s a tale filled with sexy shenanigans, dramatic sword play and interesting characters. I enjoyed getting to know the hero and heroine and felt they were the strongest component in the tale. The Highlander has an adorable happily ever after full of cheek and saucy seduction and is the perfect ending for both Anora and Niall. The book also provided hints as to the kind of woman that would intrigue Gunnolf, the Viking. His is a story that I avidly look forward to reading. I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of heroine that would fit him. The one thing that Ms. Spear always provides, no matter what, is a solid, entertaining and attention-grabbing romance. She accomplished that with this novel; I can’t wait to find out what’s next.

Moira Frazer is betrothed to a man who is old enough to be her father, but it’s her duty to her clan to marry him, and she’s determined to see this through…until she meets Gahan Sutherland.

Gahan knows this match is designed to start a feud between the clans, which is why he decides to stop the wedding. But when Moira awakens a passion within him that he never knew existed, he realizes that the outcome of this perilous situation will determine the future of his own happiness.

As trust and honor clash with forbidden attraction, manipulations, rivalries, and schemes will threaten to blow the Highlands sky high…

The obstacles are mind-boggling—mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual—that Gahan Sutherland and Moira Fraser must overcome to share a love that feels so right but is deemed to be so wrong. These two ‘wrong-side of the blanket’ characters come from very different upbringings but there is an immediate connection the first time they meet. Good reading indeed!

What a Highlander will do to get the woman he loves and craves sets a string of events in motion that takes the reader to the cold north in Scotland where greed and the struggles for power fuel manipulations that chill the blood at times. In late fifteenth century Scotland, the old Scottish ways and the oppressive new English rule rubbed abrasively together creating a breeding ground for feuds.

Honor and duty to the clan are paramount in the culture. Gahan Sutherland stands proud with his father and his brother Norris as they protect what is theirs. He is compelling—strong, handsome, and intelligent. His retainers follow him with pride and unfaltering allegiance. When he and Moira Fraser meet another facet of his personality comes alive. One can almost sense the pheromones fill the air around these two.

Gahan’s mother was Lytge Sutherland’s true love though not his wife, but by Highlander custom Lytge claims Gahan as his own just like he claims Norris, the son of his wife. Lytge understands love and can relate to Gahan’s actions, but he holds his son to duty to the clan. Yet he looks the other way long enough to let nature take its course with Gahan and Moira. When push comes to shove, the Sutherlands stand together against all odds.

The Fraser clan, ruled by Bari Fraser, is entirely different. A type of insanity seems more evident in Fraser after the loss of his beloved sister Sandra. He had always used and abused his half-sister Moira; but when he insists she marry a man old enough to be her grandfather, she is horrified. She’d learned to endure the pain he inflicted on her and considered refusing until he threatens reprisal on the clan—the people she loves and feels duty bound to protect—if she doesn’t comply.

She bows to his order that she marry the crafty, crude, ugly old Achaius Matherson. Gahan Sutherland is at the wedding and recognizes Fraser intent to form an alliance with Matherson then start a feud with the Sutherlands because of what had happened to Sandra. Although Gahan knows Fraser is the enemy, he is drawn to Moira and longs to snatch her away and make her his own. In a secluded place, he waits for Moira and tells her not to marry then gives her a kiss that sends sweet ripples all through her like nothing she’d ever felt before. His power both inside and out fascinate her. She wants him, but tells him he should not teach her how to kiss like that when she must wed another.

Since I read some of Mary Wine’s other Highlander stories, I recognized some of the secondary characters and enjoyed catching up with what had transpired in their lives such as Saer MacLeod and Daphne who play important roles in Gahan and Moira’s story. Another character I enjoyed is Cam. He stands steadfast by Gahan. Cam is Gahan’s half-brother, the son of his mother. He is Gahan’s bodyguard whether Gahan wants a bodyguard or not—making private matters not too private at times.

How to Handle a Highlander is chock full of evil manipulation, breathtaking love scenes, events at court with the young English king, making and breaking of alliances, and so much more. It is a gripping tales of a turbulent time in the history of Scotland. BUT most of all, it is an incredible love story of two strong characters, though bound by duty and honor; find a way to reach their happy-ever-after.

Mary Wine weaves a tapestry of a tale with adrenaline-pumping action, political manipulation, sweet and spicy love scenes, clan culture, a touch of humor, and a twist and turn here and there that makes one say, “Really!”

Super satisfying romance reading!

Since her divorce two years before, Kelsie Collins has been determined to guard her heart and steer clear of seemingly ‘perfect’ men. An easy task considering the kind of men her matchmaking mother and her best friend, Nanci, keeps setting her up with. She allows them to set her up, knowing their hearts are in the right place and that there is no risk of her letting any man close enough to hurt her again. Her growing experience in ways to slip out of those ‘dates from hell’ prompts her to start writing a bad date survival guide. One aptly titled – OPERATION: DATE ESCAPE. And it’s during one of those escapes that sexier than sin firefighter Cole Maxwell comes to her rescue.

Cole isn’t sure what to think when the sexy redhead he’s just ‘rescued’ from a bad date informs him that he’s too ‘perfect’ to date. That’s a first. He’s had relationships end because the women couldn’t handle the risks that go along with his chosen profession, but never because he’s too perfect.

When his crew gets called out to rescue someone who is stuck in a tree, Cole finds himself once again coming to Kelsie’s rescue. This time he’s not about to let her get away without agreeing to give him a chance, even holding her high heels hostage to make it happen. She finally gives in and things heat up between them like a 3-alarm fire. But there’s more than passion between them and Cole sets out to prove to Kelsie that he’s nowhere near ‘perfect’, but he is the ‘perfect’ man for her. Can he get past the wall she’s built up around her heart? Or will he end up being just another chapter in her book of men she ran from?

Operation: Date Escape is a fun read for any time you just want to escape and smile. Kelsie is a nice girl who just wishes her mom would stop setting her up with any man she meets. She’s divorced and determined to never risk her heart again, but can’t seem to say no to the dozens of blind dates she keeps having with unacceptable men.

Hence her “date escapes”. She keeps a notebook of them … ways to get out of a bad date without hurting the feelings of the guy she’s with. Okay, so maybe climbing out the window of the bathroom of a strip joint isn’t very subtle, but she did get to see that hot fireman again. Too bad he’s perfect. She has a real problem with perfect men … her ex-husband was one and look how that turned out. The author definitely showed some creativity with her date escapes and I wouldn’t mind reading the book Kelsie was writing. I bet it would be a hoot.

I have to say I loved Cole. He really was perfect. I don’t think he had one flaw. Handsome, smart, funny, patient, heroic, determined … in fact, I think the only time I thought he might actually be human was at the very end. As much as I loved him, though, I really wish he’d have had something wrong with him to make him more real.

I utterly adored Nanci, Kelsie’s best friend. She was smart-assed, straight talking and a hoot and I was tickled pink she hooked up (pretty much literally — Nanci’s all about sex all the time) with Cole’s buddy, Joe. They were quite possibly the best part of the book and made me laugh more than once. They were involved with Cole and Kelsie without being overtly manipulative, had some awesome one liners and just made me grin every time they showed up on the page. I hope they stick it out to their own HEA because, while they weren’t perfect, they sure were perfect together.

I wanted to smack Kelsie’s mom. I didn’t find her particularly endearing … I think I was supposed to, but between telling her daughter she needed a boob job, and shoving men at her all the time, refusing to listen to Kelsie, she just grated on me. I know moms aren’t perfect, but I kept thinking she’d grow and change a bit. And I really, really wanted Kelsie to tell her off.

The author is quite skilled with words. I have no complaints with the mechanics of the story. Her descriptions were perfect, her dialog real and believable, the editing was clean. She’s clearly amazingly talented and while I didn’t love the story (mostly because I spent much of the time wishing Kelsie would grow a spine), I’d absolutely pick up another book by her. Operation: Date Escape had its shining moments — and it’s a book I’d recommend to folks looking for a light, funny, sweet and romantic read.

Proving that she wasn’t fooled by any ghostly masquerade seemed quite simple in the beginning. Then her emotions got in the way…

This book demands time to decipher and dwell on its questions, both during and after reading, but the protagonist Cynthia is even more confused than we are. Cynthia has to discern whether Drew and Andrew are the same man, an elaborate hoax thought up for gold, or different men, which would mean she has walked into a ghost story.

It’s an adventurous romance with an old time man at dances and horse rides which is picturesque in its scenery and historical through modern gestures, a homage to the old and celebration of the new.

Andrew/Drew and Cynthia are well thought out with a witty repartee continuing between them throughout the novel. They fight to get the advantage of the other and understand them enough they are not five steps behind. Chess has been provided by Gallow as a good metaphor for this process.

These characters never become dull or predictable as the sheer force of their personalities keeps them on the road to the unique and unexpected. There were many times I had to change my mind over Andrew/Drew and his intentions and Cynthia had to change hers along with me. It is a debate of the mind from start to finish.

In addition, Ms. Gallow provides language like ‘awareness advanced and retreated like gentle waves on a beach’ which sets the scene but also feels classic. Much like a later description of Drew’s horse race, a historical scene is paired with a stark, atmospheric visual which draws the reader into the story and binds us with Cynthia and her questions.

Mitchell’s Run is a story I will not forget any time soon. Its visuals and characters whisper on my periphery and the love story seems to endure across the centuries. This is not a novel which stops with the last line. It’s one that continues beyond the horizon and the people of its making.

What boundaries would you cross for true love?

That’s the question a grieving mother must answer when she takes in a young street musician she believes can shed light on her daughter’s death—only to find herself falling for him. A sexy but touching love story that will leave you both tantalized and in tears, Jane’s Melody follows a forty-year-old woman on a romantic journey of rediscovery after years of struggling alone.

Sometimes our greatest gifts come from our greatest pain. And now Jane must decide if it’s too late for her to start over, or if true love really knows no limits.

The loss of a child to drugs and alcohol is beyond imagination. Being a mother myself, I cannot conceive the pain of burying my child in her early 20’s due to a drug overdose. This book deals with the impact a situation like this has on our main character Jane.

Living and breathing, as normal as that is to anyone, can seem impossible once you have lost your child. Thoughts of suicide are normal when you are going through this type of loss. The hardest thing to do is pull yourself by your “boot straps” and find a reason to continue living.

Our author weaves this story masterfully. He places Jane in a position where, as she is trying to reconstruct the last days of her daughter’s life, she physically runs into someone who can both give her a glimpse of her daughter as well as give her a new beginning. It is not common to read a book where the love interest is 15 years younger than the heroine. In this case, Caleb is an old soul in a young body. Having lived through some horrific situations and living on the streets since age 16, he has been exposed to situations a person his age would not normally know about.

The meaning behind this book is perhaps multifaceted. I think it makes us think about loss from a different angle. It makes us realize once again that tomorrow is promised to no one and you must make the most of what you are offered right now. Friendships are to be cherished. You can only do your best to morally support those you love, the rest has to come from them and they have to work at improving their lives. Finally, and most of all, love knows no boundaries of age. If you are lucky enough to find your “other half”, kindred spirit, whatever you want to call the love of your life, you must grab love with both hands and have the courage to cherish that love regardless of what others might think. The ultimate loss is to not have had the courage to live life with your whole heart.

This book is an “experience”. Be prepared…I kept my box of tissues close and my heart open.

Hugh Prentice has never had patience for dramatic females, and if Lady Sarah Pleinsworth has ever been acquainted with the words shy or retiring, she’s long since tossed them out the window. Besides, a reckless duel has left this brilliant mathematician with a ruined leg, and now he could never court a woman like Sarah, much less dream of marrying her.

Sarah has never forgiven Hugh for the duel he fought that nearly destroyed her family. But even if she could find a way to forgive him, it wouldn’t matter. She doesn’t care that his leg is less than perfect, it’s his personality she can’t abide. But forced to spend a week in close company they discover that first impressions are not always reliable. And when one kiss leads to two, three, and four, the mathematician may lose count, and the lady may, for the first time, find herself speechless…

Frequent X-rays will be taken to see if you have very firm bowel movement, once a day or less and have a putrid bowel odor, you may have an important role to play in leading you to orgasm sooner than expected. levitra without prescription Next, you will clean the opening that runs from the outer face to the portion that fits into vardenafil canadian pharmacy your ear. You can recover viagra uk sales from the prostate diseases softly and has no side effect. sildenafil free shipping Even the blood appears again after the period. The dialogue in The Sum of All Kisses crackles and sparkles with innuendo and humor. Only a thin veneer of social manners veils the verbal battle that is ongoing with Hugh Prentice and Sarah Pleinsworth.

The song “Getting to Know You” came to mind as I read. What Hugh and Sarah perceive to be true and what is really true are very different. These two strike sparks off each other from the word go. Sarah’s overly dramatic pronouncement that he ruined her life and the enigmatic statement that fourteen men became engaged in the 1819 Season puts Hugh in a quandary. He doesn’t even know this young woman and he is in no humor to act the gentleman. His pain, distaste for socializing, and burden of guilt make him impatient and rude to the outspoken twenty-one-year-old Sarah.

They cannot escape each other. Mutual friends and Sarah’s relatives, all involved in two huge wedding parties, make it impossible. Their getting to know each other takes the reader along on the “The Great and Terrible Caravan” of the socially elite first to Fensmore for the wedding of Honoria, Sarah’s cousin, to Marcus Holyrod, Earl of Chatteris who is Hugh’s friend; then to Whipple Hall to the wedding for Sarah’s cousin Daniel Smythe-Smith, Earl of Winstead to Miss Anne Wynter. Daniel is a dear friend of Hugh’s and the one he shot in a duel more than three years earlier. Both wedding parties are huge affairs and go on and on with Sarah obligated to be nice (well, sort of nice) to Hugh for her cousin’s sake.

The humor and fun with Sarah’s sisters and cousins offer lots of chuckles and giggles. The eleven-year-old Frances is one of my favorites. Her antics with her older sisters and her child’s insight regarding Hugh and his anti-social ways is special. The ongoing bit about the Musicales that Sarah and kin do each year is delightful; while the endless squabbling of Sarah’s three younger sisters brings a smile—so like sisters.

A dark side that Hugh as always had to deal with and how it boils over into his friends’ lives is blood-chilling. Hugh’s father, the marquess of Ramsgate, is an antagonist that makes one shudder with disgust and horror. How he is finally brought to heel is so satisfying. I’m glad the encounter with him was not too lengthy because the rest of the story is far too delightful with lively conversation and joyous love scenes to be blighted by sordid horrors Hugh and his brother had dealt with all their lives. How Sarah figures into stopping Ramsgate’s reign of terror is adrenaline-pumping action.

Julia Quinn creates memorable characters with unique personalities that engage the reader immediately. The humor, deep-emotional needs, and especially the maturation of the heroine make The Sum of All Kisses a story one doesn’t want to put down until it gets to that happy-every-after ending.
