Watching Mount and Meghan share some of their past and experience the peace of the solitude together really helped me see that they had a good and solid foundation together to build their relationship on.

The chemistry between them was smoking hot and when they finally both acted on their feelings it felt both right and intense. I felt it took both Mount and Meghan a little too long to come to the realization that they loved each other and were perfectly suited – I adored that William, their mutual friend – had to practically beat them each over the head with the knowledge. When they finally confessed their feelings it was a lovely and deliciously romantic scene and I felt a lot of satisfaction with the happy ending.

Romantic, sexy and a total fantasy, I found this to be a brilliant short story and one I will happily reread a number of times in the future. With interesting characters and a wonderfully secluded setting this story is an awesome, quick and hot read.

For readers who enjoy this particular taboo, I think the short story should appeal. Aside from their feelings on the taboo aspect of their relationship there isn’t a lot of conflict in this story – so readers who enjoy complicated plots or large obstacles being overcome might not find this story suits their tastes. Personally, I didn’t find the situation very sexy. I could see where both Danil and Maura were coming from, but it didn’t feel naughty or taboo to me, but awkward and difficult.

It was a relief to me when Maura finally admitted who her family was to Danil and that final secret was aired out. I was also pleased that Danil was calm and listened to her explanations and didn’t simply hit the roof or over-react without understanding the entire situation. There was plenty of conflict in the story already – from Danil’s mother and the various other women – and so a mis-communication about secrets and history would have been a little too much for me. I feel readers who have already read some (or many) of the previous books in this series might have a better idea of the “big picture” and feel a lot more attachment to the characters – particularly Danil and Maura – and perhaps this story shouldn’t be picked up as a stand-alone and read by itself.

While I didn’t feel as invested in Danil and Maura as I could hope, they were clearly attracted to each other and had some good chemistry. I really enjoyed how Danil and Maura respected each other and were prepared to listen and respect each other while still enjoying a steamy and passionate affair.

The sex between them was explosive – but it was all the intrigue and the slick way they worked together to solve the puzzle of what was threatening their company that really had me turning the pages quickly to find out how it all resolves itself.

Readers who enjoy spy/espionage styles of stories should really enjoy this. I love the strength and commitment between Carrie and Mason – I found them really compatible and well-suited on every level. While a lot of the story has Mason and Carrie scrambling to try and piece together who is trying to revenge past sins I enjoyed the fact that this helped Mason and Carrie strengthen their romance and learn even more about each other. Rather than doubting or letting their enemies weaken them they trusted each other fully and that was something I really loved reading.

With plenty of action and romance this was a great short story that I really enjoyed.

While Brian and Raydeen are the central characters there is a strong and well fleshed-out cast of secondary characters from the rest of the team that really helps keep the story interesting and the interactions varied. I really enjoyed the interactions between Brian and Raydeen, watching them circle each other and work on growing their relationship. I feel it has a really interesting dynamic, balanced between a professional therapist/patient healing vibe with all the chemistry and sexual need simmering under the surface. I was really pleased the author took some time laying everything out for the reader and gently leading us along as there were plenty of potential for complications and hurt feelings in this particular minefield and I thought the author handled it all very well.

The chemistry between Brian and Raydeen was delicious and explosive, but I adored how it was clear that the sizzle between them wasn’t just sexual, but they really liked each others company as well and could push each other past their comfort levels. I enjoyed seeing how Brian and Raydeen connected on a number of levels and could easily see how they’d work their relationship in a normal, day-to-day manner, which helped really sell it to me and lend believability in their long-term prospects.

I found the mystery aspect to the plot was well thought out and realistic. While not overly complicated I thought it was a good method for allowing Brian and Raydeen to spend some more time together and get to know each other better. Seeing Brian “out in the field” was also a cool thing and helped strengthen the impression for me that despite his limitations Brian was still strong and perfectly capable. I also really liked the fact that much of the plot revolved around Brian’s prosthetic limbs and went into quite some detail surrounding what amputees go through during the rehab process. It’s clear the author has done a lot of research into this and I feel she handled the whole situation tastefully and realistically.

A smoking hot and enjoyable read, this was a great book.

Handled correctly I can enjoy a strong alpha male character as much as any other lady, but it took me a short while to really get into the strength of Maxwell’s personality. That said, I adored Aaron right from the get-go and found him delightful and really easy to relate to. Young, still a little naïve, determined to reach his goals and forge a path of his own making his character really appealed to me and I was hooked.

This is the fun and kinky sort of story where you need to disconnect your brain and just enjoy the ride. When Aaron and Maxwell initially come together in the club there’s quite a bit of discussion, history-sharing and verbal footwork before they agree to try a scene out together. I was a bit torn about this aspect to the story. On the one hand I enjoyed really getting to know both Maxwell and Aaron on a deeper level, it helped me connect well to them both and feel invested in their story and the relationship they each wanted to form. On the other hand it really slowed down the pace of the story and I found myself initially skimming to get ahead and start some of the action and forward motion to their relationship. I feel some readers will really appreciate the added depth this scene gives both men’s characters, but I wouldn’t be surprised if plenty of other readers skim this to get to the hot stuff.

The chemistry between the two men is delicious, the kink is hot and well written and for a fun and quick read this story certainly fits the bill to my mind. There’s a number of mis-communications and rocky road that the two men need to travel, but their need and lust for each other is clear and steamily written. This was a sexy and hot read that I feel should appeal to a number of readers.

I was a little disappointed Missy made a few assumptions about Trevor – with reasons I felt were a little weak at best – and this led to her not reaching out to him at the least to talk and communicate with him. I’d hoped she might be braver and have some faith in Trevor and his attraction to her, particularly since I felt he’d shown her a strong indication of his interest. This really niggled me and lessened my enjoyment of Missy’s character, but I have to admit this helped advance the plot and lent some element of conflict and uncertainty to the whole adventure.

The sex between Trevor and Missy was hot and deliciously explicit. I enjoyed watching them come together and discover the potential for the romance that bloomed between them. I found this to be a sexy and fast-paced short story. The chemistry between Charli and Wyatt was smoking hot and the fact they’d known each other as kids helped sell to me the near inta-lust that blossomed between them both. The quickness of the rekindling of their attraction and the start of their relationship as adults helped make the story feel like it had a good, fast pace. There were a few interesting surprises that I thought also helped the story move along.

There are a bunch of interesting secondary characters, mainly the other members of Wyatt’s pack. The easy camaraderie between them all helped sell the feel of a small, tightly-knit together group of people. While a part of me understood Charli’s reluctance to solidify a mate-bond with Wyatt, I found it a little unrealistic. Wyatt and Charli were clearly attracted to each other, and even with the complications of Charli’s life and past to muddy the waters I never really felt sold on her reasons to deny the bond between her and Wyatt. This wasn’t enough to sour my enjoyment of the story, but I found myself skimming some of Charli’s fears and denials because it just seemed a little over the top to me, personally.

With a good and interesting plot, a bunch of interesting secondary characters and plenty of chemistry and spark sizzling between Charli and Wyatt this story had a lot of good stuff going for it. I’d definitely be interested in reading more books from this series.

I enjoyed this short story. It’s written in a light and happy manner and as addictive as ice cream. I enjoyed both Jared and Dorian’s characters and their chemistry together was smoking hot. A tiny quibble would be that I’d have enjoyed seeing the two men interact as friends first – so I could get a feel for their dynamic together before they added sex and the intimacy of a BDSM relationship. With the short length of the story though, and the fact that the pace needed to move along to fit everything in, I can completely understand why this part of Dorian and Jared’s relationship wasn’t shown on-page.

The sex is deliciously explicit and hot to read. The BDSM was kinky but still felt wonderfully realistic to me and I’m always a sucker for a friends-to-lovers style of story as it’s such a well-known and utterly believable dynamic. I also really enjoyed how this story stood pretty much completely as a stand-alone. While it’s part of a series (Nailz) and the friend – Rick – who set the hotel stay up for both Jared and Dorian is one of the main characters in the first story (Pierced), Jared and Dorian are both completely the focus of the story. I also was amused and appreciated the quick glimpse at Will, the piercer and Rick’s boy, which helped show that all was progressing smoothly between the two men. Readers can easily pick this up as a stand alone and see if they enjoy the dynamic of this sort of story, then go back to Pierced and enjoy that equally well.

Reader looking for a quick, happy and kinky short read should find this ticks all the right boxes. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am eager for more in the future. A sexy, hot and quick read.
