Meagan Morales has innocence written all over her and she’s tired of it. So when her friends dare her to have an office affair with a man she’s been crushing on, she jumps at the chance to spice up her life. But the dare goes horribly wrong, and she hits a rough patch in life and in love—until she meets successful rocker Lyric Cooper. Just when she opens up to the idea of a new love, danger lurks in the shadows and she may need to risk her heart again to survive it.

Heidi and Zoey, Meagan’s two best friends have found love and solid relationships from following through on their respective dares. Now Meagan finds that it’s her turn, and her shyness won’t cut it as an excuse to back out. But will fulfilling the dare bring her the same happiness, and if not what next for shy Meagan?

Having it not work out the way Meagan had planned was an excellent catalyst to having Meagan come home to her best friends and cousin. I was really interested to see Meagan interact with all the secondary characters, particularly since the dynamic has changed so much since she left home – with Heidi and Zoey finding both partners and working together in a foursome with Rafe and Megan’s cousin, Nathan. I found their interactions were interesting and different to most other stories you find, even in erotic romances.

Coop was also an interesting choice for the hero for Meagan. With a mile-wide protective streak and a whole lot of patience he struck me as an excellent choice of hero for shy, naïve and somewhat innocent Meagan.

I was a little confused with the somewhat conflicting signals Meagan sent out. On the one hand her disaster of a previous experience had her firmly stating numerous times that she wasn’t in the right space for a relationship or sex at all, and that she was firmly off the market for now at least. Yet almost from the moment she met Coop, Meagan was desperately attracted to the handsome man and had wanted more than just friendship with him. These two things didn’t really gel together in my mind. Even though Meagan and Coop didn’t act on their attraction for a number of weeks the story jumped forward to where their attraction was a lot more fierce for each other, so Meagan insisting that she was ready for more felt a little jarring to me, particularly considering some of the circumstances that occurred in the very recent past for Meagan. Indeed, while I can completely understand the author not going into graphic detail of these circumstances (very unromantic!) I couldn’t help but feel this really serious event was almost completely glossed over.

Basically, for me, Meagan’s wanting to jump into a sexual relationship with Coop just didn’t feel realistic or sexy to me, personally. As a plot device, explaining why she came home, why her dare didn’t work out – all that made sense logically, I just didn’t feel the emotion behind it, partly because of the conflicting feelings (being devastated and saying “not ready” on one hand and being desperately in lust seconds later) but also because I felt the author really blunted a lot of the emotion side of Meagan’s (and thus me as a reader) response to this life-altering event.

There is plenty of very hot sex in this short story – though the vast majority of it is variations of the foursome; Zoey with Nathan and Rafe – and all four together: Zoey, Heidi, Nathan and Rafe. I could understand this though, as Meagan and Coop’s relationship isn’t really solid and at a sexual stage until the end of the story. But once we get there the scene is spicy hot and well written.

I found this to be an interesting story with a solid plotline and a huge cast of really vivid, fun and sexy characters. A godd conclusion to this trilogy.

Lane’s curiosity gets the better of him and despite his self-imposed exile, he helps the young man.

Normally I don’t read books out of order in a series, but I was pleased to find I could pick this one up and follow along fairly easily. I really enjoyed both Lane and Carey’s characters. I was very surprised with the male-pregnancy aspect of the story and the alluded to rape. While the act wasn’t given specific detail, Carey did explain to Lane how it was he came to be pregnant – and I feel these two things might turn off some readers.

I found the world fairly easy to follow along with and I was really pleased that there wasn’t a whole bunch of “Omega world specific” stuff that left me mystified. As a new reader to the series I was impressed and grateful that the author explained the various world/setting-differences as they came up in the story – so there was no info dumping which I’m not a fan of. I also really enjoyed how well the plot and sex were intertwined in the story. At no stage did I feel like one or the other were overshadowing the other, nor did it feel like a trade off – sex then plot then sex etc – they were very well meshed and so the story felt really well balanced and I found myself sinking into the short story and thoroughly enjoying it all.

With interesting characters, a really solid plot and some astonishingly hot sex, I found this to be a very well-rounded book that ticked a whole bunch of good boxes for me. While I can appreciate this certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, I found it hotly written and the world and plot were excellently handled by the author. I will definitely be looking up more stories in this series.

Bear could win an academy award for his alpha-player performance, but in reality, he’d love to give up control. He’s a big man who likes the idea of being topped by a twink. In college, he found the perfect lover, but he dumped him rather than risk tarnishing his image. When Finn shows up, he turns Bear’s world upside-down. But, can the Bad Teddy Bear finally accept his submissive side?

Bear considered sex to be a physical relief, nothing more nothing less. He hated cuddling, pillow talk and all the other trappings so many people seemed to think came with a good hard time in the sack. Bear works as the bouncer in a local club and was surprised to find Finn – his most memorable previous lover – is the bartender. Determined to keep his own rules about never going back for seconds, Bear is determined to forget Finn. Only it’s not that easy and soon Bear finds himself once more intimately involved with Finn.

I found this to be a fun, sexy short story. I really enjoyed how Bear and Finn weren’t the stereotypical twink and alpha male, despite their physical appearances. The author did a great job to my mind of making both men interesting and strong characters, and still surprising. They felt fresh and different to me. While I admit Bear is far from a romantic character, and seemed determined to fight his attraction to Finn against all odds, the chemistry between the two men was undeniable.

Readers looking for a sweeter or more emotional style of romance might be left wanting – this is a far more testosterone-fueled and edgier style of story to my mind. Personally, I enjoyed the slow build up of the story. It made me really feel and appreciate the chemistry and yearning both Bear and Finn had for each other. While I could understand if some readers find this pace a little slow – in such a short story the fact the climax really isn’t reached until the last few pages is a lot more noticeable than in a longer-length story – I didn’t mind it. I found myself far more satisfied when Bear and Finn finally came together after seeing firsthand exactly how badly they really longed for each other and after watching Bear fight his attraction to Finn so very hard.

The sex is hot, very slightly kinky (handcuffs and plenty of nipple and ass play) and steamily written. I loved the happy ending and found this a deliciously spicy, short read. Readers looking for hot sex and two uncompromising, stubborn and manly men – with very little romance or softening of the story line – should find this as delicious a read as I did.

Jae and Tim have been together a while and are trying to settle into Domestic Discipline together. While the fantasy of living a hard-core BDSM lifestyle together suited them both perfectly, these things never go as easily to plan as one could hope. Can they manage to settle down together?

This is an interesting short story about a couple who are into the BDSM lifestyle. I loved how the author managed to open my eyes to elements of the BDSM lifestyle that I hadn’t read about particularly before, and more importantly showed me in the context of Jae and Tim’s loving relationship not only how it could work, but explained a lot of Jae and Tim’s needs and thought process behind it. Better yet, it didn’t come across to me as info-dumping or like a how-to manual. By showing me Jae and Tim’s perspectives and explaining what they needed and received from their version of the lifestyle I could not only discover their need and love for each other, but also learned a lot about BDSM in a manner that I haven’t found from other books.

I also really enjoyed how the author balanced Jae and Tim’s lifestyle with such understandable, real-life type of problems. The first serious parental visit for the new couple, worries about when the right time to move in properly together might be, hellish ex-boyfriends and how to juggle work crisis’ with quiet together time. Jae and Tim, while heavily into the lifestyle, were also completely relatable to my mind with the sort of concerns and problems that every couple have. Sprinkle in some laughter and a healthy dose of chemistry and this story ticked a lot of the happy boxes for me.

I found this to be a fun and emotional short story, full of laughter, interesting tidbits about the BDSM lifestyle and wonderful characters. A great read.

Love, danger, and a vampire turn Lane’s mundane life into an adventure.

For the last several hundred years, vampire Truelock’s job has protected the various Presidents of Archer Industries, a successful family-run company. Desmond Archer is getting ready to retire and he sends True on a mission to protect his estranged grandson and heir, Lane.

Lane thinks his grandfather is dead and has no idea he’s heir to a fortune. When a handsome stranger steps in and saves him from bodily harm just when he needs it, he’s both grateful and a little suspicious. That suspicion only grows when bad things continue to happen to him following True’s arrival and the claim that he’s been sent by Lane’s grandfather to protect him.

The insane chemistry between Lane and True doesn’t help either of them untangle where the danger’s coming from. Can they figure it out before Lane’s unknown enemies manage to do him permanent damage?

Truelock is a vampire who has always worked for the Archer family. For centuries his job has been to protect the head of the family. The current patriarch is retiring and has one final job for True – to protect the grandson he’d lost touch with. Lane’s not interested in having a bodyguard, even if the man is drop dead sexy. Lane’s life is full of enough trouble and he’s not interested in any more. Can he learn to trust True?

I found this to be a fun, sexy and refreshing story. I really loved how Lane didn’t just immediately fall at True’s feet and believe his every word, simply because there was chemistry and the two men were attracted to each other. For example, Lane had been told by his mother for most of his life that both his grandparents were dead, so when True, this random, sexy stranger suddenly starts saying he’s the grandson of this rich old guy, Lane doesn’t immediately jump on board with it. I found this reaction – and a number of other ones, realistic and it helped me connect more with the characters.

I was also pleased that I didn’t find any real angst in this story. While I do love vampire plotlines, all too often it’s gloomy and full of angst. I found True refreshingly well adjusted – committing himself to one family and working security/body guarding and forming strong, deep connections to a group of people. I could really believe this as a plot not only for being a way to give an endless existence meaning, but also in helping True keep up to date and current with the modern times. For a vampire story this was fun and kept me interested in how True had adapted and helped give me insight into his character.

The sex was deliciously hot and also remarkably emotional. I loved how True and Lane didn’t just jump right into it, despite their attraction being near-instant. Mr Michael is to be commended on how he built up the anticipation. I feel it made the consummation even sweeter when it finally occurred.

I loved this short story, full of action and thrills, guns-for-hire and vampire-themed restaurants I feel it’s sure to have something to appeal to everyone. With a great M/M love story and some sizzling sex scenes it’s a definite keeper and one I will happily reread many times to come.

Unfortunately, things don’t go exactly according to plan. She manages to get herself captured and Snake is forced to come to her rescue.

Wren wasn’t scared by Snake, not his scars, not the haunted look in his eyes. She saw the grace and strength in his walk, the sensual appeal of his mouth. Wren has waited forever for Snake to see her as more than the kid sister of his friend’s woman. When they finally come together it’s everything and more she could have hoped for, dreamed of. Can they make this new thing between them work?

I liked how this book started straight off the bat. In the opening paragraph Snake and Wren come together intimately, consummating months of pent-up need and desire on both their parts. I didn’t mind this as the story is quite short, but I know many readers often prefer a slower build up to their stories. Personally, I liked that the story started hot and then after that first sex scene we can see Wren and Snake begin to build their relationship together properly.

Having not read any of the previous book in this series, I was pleased to find I caught on to the plot and background fairly quickly. I was a little surprised to find the story is set in a sort of futuristic/alternate Earth style setting (with quite simple to understand differences, like “cred chip”, “Alliance members” and “com unit” – those sorts of things). I found the explanations were crisp and didn’t feel too much to me like info-dumping.

There was an interesting amount of plot in the middle of the book – and I feel there were clear indications of where future stories in this series might be heading. While I loved the plot – the story felt a little like the sex scenes were just sandwiched in before and after the actual story itself. Indeed, I personally feel if the first chapter sex scene and the final couple of pages (also a sex scene) had been deleted this wouldn’t have been an erotic romance at all, but more an action/adventure futuristic style story with just a hint of spicy chemistry between the hero and heroine. Readers wanting a full-blown erotic romance story might not find the erotic element quite as satisfying as those happier with the action-based plot element. Personally I found the story is a good one, just slightly imbalanced for an erotic romance.

A great, strongly plotted story with two very interesting characters and a great, fresh premise. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

A cat, a demon and a bear. Oh my.

Jericho Dark Walker is a Bear, born to shift into both an animal’s and man’s form. He’s second in command to the mixed group of shifters living in the Great Forest. For years it had been his dream to see his clan reintroduced to the land of their ancestors. But now that he’s back he finds himself restless, unable to find joy in even the simplest back scratch or hive of honey. The female shifters offer little challenge, more than eager to bed the Great Clan’s beta, and with everyone getting along, there’s little more for him to do than break up the rare fight.
Initially I was scared of the side effects of these alternatives may lead to severe conditions and are far more costly behind the wheel than they are presently managing with executive jet charter and commercial flights, as believed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), having denied the airports’ lobbying for a curfew in the past, if you are taking icks.org viagra the pill, or if you control happening living your life. When an opportunity arrives to represent the clan and work with the athmae to oust an evil plaguing the outer edge of the Great Forest, he gratefully volunteers. The alpha’s brother has mated with an athmae—a demon—so Jericho thinks he knows what to expect. But his new partner is anything but typical. The athmae assigned to work with him is a male demon as large as Jericho, and just as deadly. No sex demon, but a hunter with the instincts of a true predator. So why is Jericho so taken with the male, when he has only ever felt desire for a female?

And why, when they rescue an annoying, sexy cat shifter from certain death, do his instincts scream at him to claim both the feline female and the demon as his own? Bears don’t mate outside their species, yet everything inside Jericho pushes him to do just that. A cat, a demon and a bear. Oh my.

Were-bear Jericho finds himself unable to solve a series of murders by a magical creature that doesn’t leave scent when it kills. When his alphas suggest that a local demon kingdom has been experiencing similar problems, Jericho knows he has to go and discover what he can, if it will help his Clan. Seino is a demon, a Protector of the seventh kingdom. He’s no more thrilled with being partnered with Jericho than the were-bear is to be with him. But they both need to hunt and kill the murderer wreaking havoc in their realms – no matter the cost.

I have to be honest, I adored Jericho’s character. An enormous, grumpy-assed were-bear with zero patience for prophecies, posturing, frolicking with incubi and especially no interest in figuring out what his own foresight seems to be telling him. Gruff and no nonsense I laughed and eagerly devoured everything about this large man and loved every second of it. I found Seino to be a bit more of an enigma, and that really appealed to me too. While still intensely sexual, he wasn’t like the other demons/Kin and blatant about it. There was a subtlety to Seino that really appealed to me and I found that far sexier and more provocative than if he’d been up front or in-your-face with his sexuality.

I was a little uncertain with the addition of Anya, a cat-shifter, into their relationship. Personally I felt the balance and chemistry was perfect just between Seino and Jericho. The plotline surrounding Anya was perfect and I really enjoyed that, but I wasn’t fully sold on the fact that Anya added anything to the relationship (sexually or emotionally) and didn’t really feel the ménage was significantly better than the twosome between the two men. I couldn’t help but wonder why she was added to the relationship at all. The plot surrounding her was excellent and I completely got that – I just couldn’t see why she needed/wanted to be added to the M/M side of things. Still, for readers who prefer ménage’s to M/M Anya will probably be a welcome addition.

I found the sex deliciously hot and adored the interactions – especially between Jericho and Seino. The paranormal world was fresh and I thought the author did an excellent job of describing it without any info-dumps or cluttering up the progress of both the plot and the relationships. Overall I found this to be a really well written, well paced story with plenty of steamy sex and characters that really interested me and captured my attention.

Only then comes Rafe, and soon Aleks is sorely tempted to throw caution – and all his sensible rules – right out the window.

I enjoyed this slow-paced erotic romance. I loved that we saw the whole progression of the relationship in such a short story. When Aleks and Rafe meet Rafe recognizes exactly what Aleks is, and that knowledge tempts Aleks to cast aside his normally quite sober rules. I loved the pacing the author gave this story, a lovely slow burn that really appealed to me. I enjoyed getting to know both characters, watching them learn about each other and finally come together.

The chemistry between the two men was astounding and this helped make me feel like that final consummation was just explosive. I loved the building tension between Aleks and Rafe and felt their happiness together was just the icing on the cake. There is a very small amount of BDSM lifestyle in the story – Aleks is submissive at heart, and while Rafe likes to be in charge the sex between them isn’t strictly BDSM, some of their relationship discussion and preferences lean in that direction.

I found this to be an interesting, emotional and relationship-focused erotic story and one I greatly enjoyed. I’d happily read both more stories from the author and more in this series down the track.

Vic isn’t looking for love either. In fact, because of his upbringing in a strict, white foster family, Vic’s not sure he believes in love. He’s in Stone Acres to open a branch office of a national brokerage firm. He’s also hoping to find a vintage photo of what might be his Native American ancestor.

After their paths cross, they become friends, then more. Connected by their experiences as orphans raised by flawed fathers, Zeke and Vic realize that some men must find love, hone it, and create families for themselves.

Zeke is finding that life is good but exhausting. Managing and owning the historic hotel in a small town and moonlighting two nights a week playing the fiddle and banjo he’s trying hard to find time for his love life in amongst all his other commitments. Vic and his brother have come to town – both of them best men in a friend’s upcoming wedding, but Vic is interested in staying. Zeke and Vic are instantly attracted to each other, but life is never that simple.

This is a fun short story that I really enjoyed. Zeke is seemingly perpetually burned out, working hard, incredibly long hours at his hotel and fiddling/playing the banjo both at the local pub and at the wedding of his friends. And this is when there aren’t lost waifs to help or enraged, gun-wielding maniacs to deal with. The blossoming relationship with Vic is the only solace in Zeke’s incredibly full life and it’s this relationship that I feel really sells the story.

I really enjoyed how the plot of the story was based pretty much around Zeke’s managing the hotel and Zeke and Vic getting to know each other. With quite a large cast of interesting, vibrant secondary characters I feel it really gives the feel of a small town where everyone knows everyone and there’s no such thing as secrets or privacy. I was a little surprised at how little explicit sex there was. Indeed aside from a number of very passionate kisses, and a lot of smoldering chemistry the sex was actually behind closed doors. So while Zeke and Vic were in a M/M relationship, it wasn’t strictly – to my mind – an erotic romance as the actual consummation occurred off screen and wasn’t detailed in the story. Readers wanting that erotic, graphic detail mightn’t be satisfied with that aspect of this story, but I found the chemistry, sexual tension and steamy kisses were still quite satisfying for a steamy romance story.

I found this to be a fun, steamy and well paced story and one I think a number of readers can enjoy.

When he’s forced to take some time off, and the two come face to face, will they be able to keep their attraction on the back burner? Or has this game of cat and mouse just started?

Lynette has organized a surprise divorce party for her best friend, Lexie. About to take on full time responsibility of her two young nephews, Lynette decides to let loose one last time and have a quick skinnydip in the stream behind Lexie’s house. Only Robert had come outside for a breath of fresh air and can’t help his attraction to Lynette. A drug lord’s son and the cop who helped jail Lexie’s now ex-husband, Robert has plenty to overcome and prove to himself. Can he and Lynette find some middle ground and indulge in their instant lust for one another?

I found this to be a fun, quick read. The beginning was a little sluggish for my tastes, the author spent quite a few pages explaining how Lynette was connected to Lexie, and all the background between the ex-husband, the new fiancé and how Robert fit in to everything. It was quite clear to me that this is the second book in a series and initially at least catching the reader up on all that back-story – even though the author kept it fairly brief – really did make the start feel clunky to me. A part of me wondered if it was really necessary, since the rest of the story is Lynette and Robert and the relationship they forge together, I’m not convinced that the history of the previous book is relevant to anything except for linking the world and a few of the characters. I would have greatly preferred this to have been trimmed down a little more so it could have been read completely alone with only a sentence or two to indicate there was a previous story behind Lexie and her new fiancé. Readers who have started with the first story and are eager for more, however, probably would feel completely different to myself – so it’s definitely a matter of personal taste, to my mind.

Once the plot between Lynette and Robert really started moving though I found this to be a fast-paced, fantastic read. I loved how much plot there was, Robert and his history, demons and all, Lynette’s grief over the loss of her sister and taking on her two small nephews, there was a huge number of plots all weaving together and I really enjoyed the magic the author injected into the story handling it all so well. Part of me wondered if this could have been made into a longer length story, certainly I felt there was plenty going on as well as the steamy sex between Lynette and Robert, but other than wishing there’d been more it was hard for me to put this book down.

The sex was explicit and well written to my mind. There was nothing earth-shattering or too over the top, so I feel most erotica readers will find themselves satisfied with both the heat level and the amount of sexiness in the story. I really loved how the author used the sex to deepen the emotional connection between Lynette and Robert, I felt it really added another layer to their blossoming relationship. The fact Robert was a hot-ass cop with a mile-wide streak of protectiveness and a man who could cook – just made it that much more appealing to my mind.

I found this to be a fun and short story with great characters, heaps of plot and a delicious amount of spicy sex. Recommended.
