What’s a girl to do when she finds herself stranded in a snow storm, in a BDSM club in a castle, with a Dom she’s lusted after for years?

At some time in their life, everyone has choices to make.
For Shane, it could be a chance to rediscover her love of kink.
For Ross, it’s the chance to tempt her to be his kitten.

But Shane has to settle some demons before she can move forward.

This is their chance to be together as Dom and sub or wave goodbye. But at Diomhair, nothing is as straightforward as you hoped, and Ross and Shane have a lot to do, before they can say yes…or no.

Hot and sweet, Secrets Dispatched is a good not-too-long read. Though the novel belongs to the Diomhair series, it can be read as a standalone.

The heroine, Shane, is suffering from past hurts that don’t allow her to move on but at the same time is eager to surrender to Ross and become his sub.

The sexy hero and Dom, Ross, is more than ready to claim her as his and show her his particular type of love.

Though the characters knew each other in their youth, I found the romance between them a little bit too fast paced and hard to believe. Furthermore, though Ms. McAllan does a great job in building the sexual tension, and BDSM is present at the core of the story, in this particular book, its presence is very light.

One thing worth mentioning though is the little mystery introduced into the story. In this book, we still don’t know who the owner of the white van snooping around Diomhair is. Definitely something I’ll be looking to find out in future books.

Secrets Dispatched is a sweet, sexy read with a tinge of mystery.

By day, Simone is a quiet beauty working in a bookstore nestled in downtown Los Angeles. What no one would suspect is that by night she becomes Genevieve Mitchell, author of the buzzed about erotic romance best seller. Writing is her safe outlet for exploring desire, that is, until she bumps right into Derrick, a man who embodies the very alpha traits of her fictional world.

Derrick is gorgeous, accomplished, and he has his eyes set on the elusive Simone. He senses she harbors a secret, but he is determined to have her. Can Simone let go of her fears and make the leap from writing about romance to actually living it?

Normally, I’m not a big fan of stories written in the first person, but the author pulled me into Simone’s life without any effort.

The plot: a quiet bookstore clerk writes madly successful erotic romance and bumps into a real life romance hero, is a bit too much at times, but the book offers some interesting existential questions about life, writing and love, which help keep it grounded to the present day.

Furthermore, this contemporary romance feels real thanks to the characters. Simone specially, has a complex life with struggles with which I could connect and identify. My only drawback with Simone, and I guess it’s more of a personal pet peeve, is that she tended to get drunk or slightly drunk very easily.

Derrick, the hero, is an alpha with a sweet streak. He’s hardworking, hot and dreamy. He struggles to understand and bring Simone into his world. As she fell in love with him, inevitably so did I.

The chemistry between them was off the charts and the sex scenes incredibly hot. Oh, that shower… Plus, the author knew how to build anticipation, so by the time something finally happened between them, I was at the edge of my seat unable to put The Writer’s Desire down.

All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read that had me furiously turning pages until the very end and which characters will stay with me for a long time.

Connor is absolutely willing to help her out. For a price. He not only wants her hand in marriage, but also her total submissive surrender…

I’m an unconditional fan of Sierra Cartwright’s novels. I think she’s a great author and I love reading her, but lately, I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that her novels start a little slow. Bind is no exception. It took me a while to warm up to the characters but eventually I did, and became hooked.

The novel flows smoothly. The writing, as always is first rate, but it is the tension between the characters and the hot sex scenes that move the story forward and thus kept e on edge in more ways than one. One of my favorite scenes was the office proposition. It had me wishing I was little Lara.

However, even though the sex was hot I had the perception that unlike other novels, Cartwright didn’t go into much detail about the BDSM portion. Of course, it was there, after all, it is an essential part of the plot line and Connor himself, but Lara was a novice and unlike other heroines and what one would expect in real life, she accepted everything Connor dished. Wouldn’t using a single tail whip be too much for a novice like her? Everything happened too fast, both sexually and emotionally. It was a roller coaster ride in which I seemed to be missing the smooth transition between hills.

Still, regardless of the above, Bind, was an enjoyable novel with two characters that have depth, an interesting plot line and sizzling sex.

As he interacts with her, he realizes why she ran from marriage. She’s never met someone strong and complex enough to hold her interest. And suddenly, he’s determined to be that man.

I am a fan of Sierra Cartwright, but I have to admit that Command started a little slow for my taste. At first, I didn’t even feel a connection with the characters. They both seemed to be workaholics that would never be able to see beyond their office tasks. I was of course, wrong.

As Ms. Cartwright builds the relationship between the characters she also develops Grant’s and Aria’s jobs. The characters stop feeling like obsessive workers and become people with a common goal both in and out of the bedroom. Their relationship is not only based on their sexual attraction but also on their brilliant minds.

However, even though I warmed up to both Grant and Aria, for some reason, I have to admit that these are the characters which have caused the least impact on me out of all of Cartwright’s novels.

The sex, as in all of Ms. Cartwright’s novels is well written, hot and never boring. (The author demonstrates well that BDSM is much more than kneeling, spanking, cuffs and flogging).

One line that will forever stay with me is when Aria asks: How would you introduce someone to your BDSM world?” And Grant answers:“I already have.”

Command is a definite must read if you’re looking for some sizzling BDSM and a well written story that goes beyond sex.

To be honest, I’m not much of a fan of time traveling novels, but Pyramids of Passion is something totally different. To begin with, it’s very well written. Ms. Lovett drew me into her story and kept me there with her vivid descriptions.

Even though there is a hot romance (or is that two?), at times I felt that the story was more about the main character herself, Rosie Carter, and her evolution as a woman, than a love tale. Furthermore, at one point in the novel, I couldn’t help wonder why Rosie didn’t research Edifu’s past and cast her doubts aside. However, with that said, Rosie is an endearing character and I was rooting for her from the start.

Her male counterparts are equally engaging. They’re not only attractive, or mannequins to serve a purpose. They felt like real people.

Pyramids of Passion is a hot, sensual read with a happy for now ending. I will certainly be looking for future stories from Ms. Lovett.

The Ladies Book of Pleasures, Book 1

The widowed Lady Isabel Avenbury has one remaining younger sister to shepherd into an advantageous marriage, and then she will be free. Free to take a lover to fill her lonely nights—the only option left for a woman on the delicate edge of a certain age.

Except when she chaperones her sister to a country house party, she is taken aback by her sudden, undeniable attraction to the host. And deliciously scandalized when she finds a copy of the notorious, much-gossiped-about Ladies Book of Pleasures in his library.

When Seth Rowland, Marquis Lyndham, notices his book is missing, his interest is piqued as to which of the potential young brides at his party has absconded with it—and he’s shocked to discover it’s Isabel. Though older than the women he’d planned to court, the powerful beauty exudes a sensuality he cannot ignore.

The book inspires them to begin a desperate, passionate affair. But their time together is running out and they must choose. Follow society’s rules, or take a chance at love.

What a delightful book! It had been a long time since I’d read a regency romance that felt so authentic. This was my first book by Jess Michaels, but I’m definitely going to be looking out for more from this author.

A well written novel, I was drawn into the world of Lady Isabel Avenbury and Lord Lyndham without any effort.

On the one hand, as heir to the marquis, Lyndham must find a woman to marry and produce heirs. On the other hand, Lady Avenbury, a young widow, is ready to marry her sister off and enjoy her life to the fullest–including sexually. The attraction between them is palpable but to make matters worse, the Ladies Book Of Pleasure, (a forbidden book circulating the Ton), comes into the picture, creating the best and most erotic kind of trouble for them.

Unlike many other period novels where characters seem made out of cardboard, Lyndham and Avenbury felt real and human. As their feelings and their affair developed, so did they.

Throughout the book, I laughed and smiled at the moments of joy, almost cried at certain points, and stood hanging onto the edge of my seat at others. The emotion between the characters jumped out of the book and I could do nothing but root for them and hope that everything would end well in the end, for although there is a happy ending, A Matter of Sin was not entirely predictable.

All in all, A Matter of Sin was a delightful, steamy and romantic read that had me craving for more. I will look forward to more stories featuring this infamous, Ladies Book of Pleasure.

When the truth is revealed, can they work towards a true Dom/sub relationship, even though theirs started on a lie?

Reader Advisory: This book includes scenes of wax play and knife play.

A while ago, I read the first book in this series. It was a standalone, as is this one, but I was hooked. Once more, Ms. McAllan, does a great job of pulling me into the world of Diomhair.

Secrets Remembered has a bunch of secrets and mysteries, first and foremost, who is the protagonist and what is she doing at Diomhair? Little by little, McAllan reveals the mystery and as she does so she also reveals amazing characters and a blooming romance that is off the charts.

Sadly, I felt that the change in Ailsa, the heroine, is too radical because she goes from hardly having any knowledge about BDSM and being very frightened to being the perfect submissive in the blink of an eye. From my point of view, the end became too fanciful and lost touch with the realism that seemed to permeate the rest of the story.

However, I would still recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for an interesting read with some sizzling BDSM sex.

From page one, firefighter Jude Mason grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go. Ms. Carr begins the story with a vivid description of his feelings and emotions that truly made me feel sorry for him.

Sadly, this wonderful work of description does not last and about half way through the book there is a loss of emotion in favour of a lot of telling. For this reason, or perhaps it was due to the sometimes stiff dialogue, I wasn’t able to fully feel the connection between the characters.

However, regardless of these points, the story was enjoyable and the sex was also hot (their first kiss is epic and the scene in her office is sizzling).

All in all, Burning Love by Cassandra Carr is an entertaining, quick and pleasant read.

At Diomhair you never know what will happen in the end.

I have never yearned for a kiss as much as the one between Jess and David. There is no doubt that Ms. McAllan knows how to build momentum. Furthermore, when the kiss did arrive it was all I had hoped for.

In general, this is how Secrets Shared develops. Little by little, the author unravels bits and pieces of Jess’s dark secret. Every little step made me want to learn more. I wasn’t the only one, David, the hero was also eager for more.

The connection between Jess and David is palpable from the start. Their talk, their banter, the way they act and react around each other is very well written and easily drew me into their heads.

David is my type of favorite hero: handsome, hard-headed, unable to give up, dominant, alpha and yet capable of laughing and enjoying life. Jess is his perfect counterpart: intelligent, beautiful, in control of her world, except when she’s with him. That change in attitude when David is around is what makes their Dom/sub relationship perfect. That, and the way Ms. McAllan describes their attraction and the sizzling sex that promptly ensues.

The story between David and Jess ends happily, but the author expertly delivers one more blow that has enticed me to read the next book in the series.

Secrets Shared is a well written spicy read with love, attraction and a little mystery, that you won’t be able to put down.

In the years they’ve been apart, she hasn’t met his equal. Now, convinced one last night will vanquish his memory, she sets out to seduce him.

The Reece she returns to is even more determined to have his way. Is she now strong enough, brave enough, to surrender to his love?

Once again, Ms. Sierra Cartwright builds a story that makes me want to dig deeper.

Crave is a sizzling read. As in all of Ms. Cartwright’s novels, the BDSM scenes and sex are extraordinary, but there is more. The author not only sucked me into the BDSM lifestyle once more, she sucked me into a new world: the world of Sarah and Reece, of luxury and decadence, of heartbreak and love.

The pace of the story is quick (I read it in one sitting) and Cartwright’s style is not complicated but the depth that she gives her characters in Crave goes beyond the pages. Reece and Sarah are far from perfect. As I read the novel, I had mixed feelings toward both of them. On the one hand, I understood Sarah’s fear, but on the other hand, I also had the impression that a lot of the time she was selfish. After all, she ran. She ran without saying goodbye or without giving an explanation and she returned two years later. I repeat, two years later. I seriously thought that was a ridiculously long amount of time for her to realize that she still loved Reece and wanted to try to win him back.

However, I looked past it as did Reece. He was also a complicated character. I have to say, that at first when she came back I had the annoying impression that he only reunited with her because she was now a “perfect” sub. As I read about him and what he demanded (even if unconsciously) I understood why Sarah would run and also why she would come back, for even though I had my doubts about them, their love story still prevailed. Every action, every word, every little thing had an inkling of love that wasn’t overt but was present. There was an undercurrent of emotion between them that denoted not two persons that had just met but two persons that knew each other well from before.

With intriguing secondary characters, Ms. Cartwright has also set the stage for forthcoming novels, which I will certainly read.

All in all, Crave was a wonderful read that will get romantics swooning and BDSM readers hot.
