In addition to the passion, the group also bond outside of the bedroom as they learn more about each other and work together on board their ship.

Caphis, Ford, and Aaron already have a strong bond from being comrades and from their shared experiences over the years and the author demonstrates this through their concern and protectiveness of one another. Caphis and Ford are so close that they have been nicknamed “the twins” because they often say the same thing at the same time, which added some humor to this story. These men are very private individuals and are reluctant to share more with people who aren’t part of their crew. After several rejections, they find it hard to believe that Emi would accept their unusual lifestyle and it is evident in their words and demeanor. Aaron is especially protective of his crew as he doesn’t wish them to be hurt. This causes him to come across as rude and cold at first, but once his reasons are revealed his behavior is understandable.

While the four come together to form a whole thanks to their chemistry and obvious attraction to one another, each character also has a distinct personality and the author did a wonderful job of using Emi to point out these differences in the men. However, there are times where she felt a bit left out and I could really sense and feel her anguish as she too feared rejection by these men. The story is told from Emi’s point of view and at first I was a bit confused as to why we only get to see her side of things, but as the story progresses and a huge twist is revealed, it all becomes apparent and I applaud the author’s choice.

As for this unexpected and interesting twist, I won’t spoil it, but it definitely surprised me as I never saw it coming. Yet as I thought about it, I realized that the author dropped subtle little hints throughout the story and I never realized what they were all leading up to. I thought the author did a beautiful job of doing this and it really made the story stand out to me as everything fell into place.

Overall the story is a very emotional one, more so than I initially thought it would be as I read the description. While it does have scorching hot and touching love scenes between all of the main characters, it also has heart as the four bond and form an unconventional relationship. The group becomes so close and emotionally linked that I ached for them toward the end during one of the most emotional and pivotal scenes of the story, however, I don’t want to say too much for fear of spoiling it. I will say that the author did a fabulous job of making me care about these characters and allowing me to experience and feel their pain and emotion with her words. I was drawn into this fascinating world and relationship and loved every minute of it.

Love at First Bight has more than earned a spot among my keepers and I look forward to reading more of what this talented author has to offer.

She even used secondary characters to point out the problems and ask questions that one might have about the logic behind a threesome, but Tyler, Thomas, and Nevvie answered those questions and demonstrated a loving and caring relationship with one another.

This was a story that I enjoyed a great deal as the author brought these characters to life with their emotional and passionate love story. The story just seemed to flow and I was sad to see it end.

This one was a keeper for me and I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to reading more by this talented author!

I enjoyed the banter and wit of the story and loved how the author incorporated it. In what could have been a suspense-heavy story, the author added moments of lightness that I really found refreshing. The mystery and suspense of the story was also well-done. There were twists and turns, but things didn’t get so complicated that the reader was completely lost. Everything played out nicely and as all the pieces fell into place, I found myself intrigued by all that was going on.

If you are looking for a suspenseful tale with great characters and a tough of humor, then Looks Are Deceiving might be just want you are looking for.

The author did a fabulous job of bringing these three men to life and making me care about each of them. They each have distinct personalities that seem to mesh very well as they come together, but all three struggle with the idea of sharing and it soon affects their relationships. Jealousy, doubts, and insecurities plague all three despite their obvious love for one another. This added a realness to their unusual relationship as it demonstrated that not everything and everyone is perfect.

I really enjoyed watching the relationships develop and grow throughout the book. The author created three wonderful men that I couldn’t help but feel for as they have to learn to adjust their thinking and plans and get used to each other. The characters truly drive this story as they take you on an emotional roller coaster…it was a ride that I enjoyed every minute of!

He had a lot to deal with so it was interesting to see him realize that Leyland was meant for him as well. Both Jake and Lucas will do anything to keep Leyland and their concern and caring comes across very well. And as I said things quickly heat up for Leyland and his lovers when it comes to the sexual side of their relationship…almost too quickly. The three share a touching and highly sensual relationship and their love scenes definitely heat this story up from the very beginning.

The ending of this story and the threesome’s relationship really touched me as I felt for the men. I don’t wish to spoil anything, but let’s just say that the three have a lot to learn throughout the story about their bond and what it means for them both mentally and physically. The whole concept of a tri-omega and the relationship between the three men fascinated me as we learned more about what it means.

What also fascinated me was the pack of werewolves living on the ranch. Jake is the Alpha of a small pack of werewolves who were ostracized from their original pack for being gay. You can’t help but feel for these men and I longed to know more about the various members of the pack. With a few secondary characters who look like they will get stories of their own, this was a great start to what promises to be an interesting series.

This is an intriguing story featuring three fascinating men with distinct personalities. Garrett is an especially intriguing character. I have to admit that at first I felt a little lost, as though I was starting the story in the middle, but soon I became intrigued by the characters and the plot. And while the ghost aspect was interesting, it felt a bit odd in this story. I would often forget about the presence of Darcy’s ghost in scenes until a reference or comment was made. I didn’t really feel that she was necessary to the story as knowing of Garrett’s internal battles with his memories and his sexuality would have been enough.

But, overall, this was an interesting read with intriguing characters and I enjoyed the relationships of the story.
