Imagine if a big inheritance is in the hands, or rather trotters, of a pig! That is what Chris Hardcastle finds out after he has already renovated the house he thought was his. Tarquin didn’t get on with his previous neighbour and is worried the new one will be just as bad as the old. Things are not as they seem though and Tarquin soon has his hands full – much to his delight.

The time period of this book is hard to narrow down. In some respects, it seems contemporary, but in others, it seems historical. Either way, this is very well written with a genteel tone and smooth pacing. There are a couple of ‘bounders’ in here that are obvious from the start but the fun is in the way the story progresses, not with figuring out who the big bad are.

This is both sweet and steamy with some erotic shenanigans going on behind closed doors. A lovely addition to the collection and definitely recommended by me.

Yet Guy’s unruffled demeanor hides a past regret. Is the wedding of Josh’s best friend about to reopen a painful chapter that has never fully closed?

As a fearsome tropical storm threatens the island paradise and a broken family threatens Josh and Guy’s happiness, the stakes have never been higher. Can St Sebastian work its magic to heal past wounds and will Josh and Guy’s holiday fling take flight?

What happens if you put an older pilot with a young HR Manager? Well, let me tell you. Bliss in St. Seb’s would be the correct answer!

Guy and Josh – or Gosh – enter a whirlwind romance that starts with a cinnamon bun at the airport but quickly transforms into real emotions. Josh is there to be best man to his best friend and Guy is at St. Seb’s for some well-deserved downtime in his home. Now, of course, the path of true love can’t run smoothly. Where’s the fun in that? However, in this book, it’s not THEIR path that is troubled. I won’t bother telling you about it, that’s what the blurb is for. Just trust me when I say the storm isn’t only on the outside!

The descriptions in this book are outstanding. St. Seb’s is now an island I want to visit after reading about the blue seas and white sands. The emotions are also really well-written, making it easy to understand just how something becomes the big deal as it is.

I found the pacing to be smooth and the characters genuinely likeable. I’d love to actually have some of the fiction become fact on my next flight but I really can’t see that happening somehow. All in all, this was a great read with love being the star of the show. Absolutely recommended by me.

This is a short and sweet novella, the steamiest bit being when they kiss. Billy and Charlie make quite the couple but, if I’m honest, I can’t decide if I like them or not. They seem to feature a bit too many of the delightful English idiosyncrasies which, when put together, gives the whole story a bumbling feel to it. I don’t mind a bit but this seemed to be a deluge.

Being as it is only a novella, you don’t get too much depth or history from the pair of them, apart from the occasional memory. Saying that, the pacing is good, with it moving along nicely.

This was a nice short story guaranteed to while away half an hour or so. Not one of my favourites from this pair of authors but still an enjoyable read.

Will these two men find heat between the sheets or will the guardianship situation be the biggest detriment to them finding happiness?

This was cute!

Okay, so maybe a little too cute for me, but I did enjoy it.

Steve and Farin have chemistry from the beginning. Neither is looking for a relationship and neither wants a one nighter, so friends it is, until then it really isn’t enough and they both want more. I think what I struggled with was the speed at which things moved once they decided to date. I mean one minute, they are barely kissing, and the next they are banging up against the car! The speed at which the L word was mentioned was a little fast for me, too. But it might not bother other readers.

I did enjoy the supporting cast, though! Steve’s little sister had him pegged early on as to how he felt for Farin. Farin’s brother, Colin, picked up on the electricity, to. I would like to go back and read about Colin and Jordan. They seem like a fun pair!

It’s a good read, but maybe a little too sweet and speedy for me. Other readers might love this fast-paced story. This is the first book by this author and I and liked it enough to try reading Ms. Slayer again.

This was a really great read!

Kade got dumped, so his mates made him a Bucket List. What could go wrong? Well, nothing really, because Kade meets Blake. The meeting is right near the top of that list. Blake pushes Kade to make some changes to his life and to himself–but only because Kade wants to make those changes. Nothing is pushed onto him, bar the list.

The situation with Kade’s ex unravels itself beautifully. It’s not all laid out, and the pieces and clues come in dribs and drabs at first and then speed up, which is great. It’s hot and steamy in places, but I didn’t think it got especially emotional. I didn’t FEEL that emotion coming off the page. It’s well written, and well delivered. Only Kade has a say, and this could have been a 5 star read had Blake been given a voice.

Still, a delightfully sexy, sweet story that passed a couple of hours on a quiet Sunday evening at work.  4 good solid stars.

While a part of Greg hates Ben and all the difficulties between them, Greg misses the closeness and friendship they previously shared. Things begin to get complicated between the two men and Greg begins to learn the fine edge between love, obsession and hate. Can Greg and Ben’s relationship ever be the same again?

I found this to be an extremely different short story. Told from Greg’s perspective in the first person it was at first difficult for me to grasp some of the intricacies of Ben and Beth’s characters and what they really wanted and expected from Greg. I felt that the back-and-forth of Ben’s character from antagonistic towards Greg to aroused and interested was initially confusing and difficult to follow. I feel in large part this was due to the fact the whole story was told from Greg’s perspective and he was confused, so that didn’t leave a lot of clarity for the reader to piece together. I admittedly felt this confusion and uncertainty of Greg’s made it understandable that this was how the story was written, and also admit the story was richer for the confusion, but as a reader it was at times difficult for me to be certain what was really going on.

This book is incredibly realistic and relatable. There are a number of excellently written but difficult subjects that are raised – Greg’s feelings towards Ben are complicated and very love/hate feelings, there is also a lot of confusion in Greg’s mind as to what is a healthy level of jealousy and what actions overall make a relationship unhealthy. I feel these were all really well written. But this made this book uncomfortable for me to read. I usually shy away from books that tackle such difficult and complicated emotional aspects of borderline abusive relationships, but I had such a good connection with Greg I needed to keep reading and absolutely wanted to know what happened.

While I enjoyed this book I feel strongly that this won’t be every reader’s cup of tea. There are a lot of difficult scenes, including a few where Greg was not quite consensual with his sex when he was extremely intoxicated, or blacked out or after he’d ingested drugs. There are also quite a few scenes where it’s clear Greg feels the relationship is not healthy but then changes his mind back and forth – Greg’s confusion added a lot of confusion to me as the reader about what was really going on and where the line of right and wrong properly laid. Greg’s back-and-forth over whether Ben and his relationship was healthy or not meant I as the reader couldn’t really decide, either. Greg flip-flopping between thinking his and Ben’s relationship was abusive – or Greg deciding to leave and then coming back to Ben all made the story realistic and addictive to read, but I don’t feel it’s an easy subject to take on, particularly when the entire situation was – to me at least – heartbreaking.

The majority of the plot I feel was Greg’s constantly flickering and confused feelings for Ben and Greg trying to understand his own desires and needs emotionally and sexually. This was a lot to read and take on as the relationship between Greg and Ben that was both complicated and multi-layered. The answers to these questions of Greg’s was what kept me reading – I wanted to know if they could make their relationship work or whether it was as doomed as I felt it should be at times. While this self-exploration was well written and interesting I do feel this story isn’t for the faint of heart.

It wasn’t until the very end that clarity came around to Greg and Ben’s relationship. I was satisfied that these important plot points were completed but this absolutely isn’t a story with a traditional style of happy ending. I strongly feel readers should be aware this isn’t a light or romantic story. I personally felt satisfaction at the end, and there is a sort of happiness in the epilogue, but it’s quite outside the box.

With realistic and complicated characters this is a very unusual and different style of story. I feel strongly that it won’t be to all readers’ tastes, but for those who like darker-edged stories and those who enjoy characters discovering and learning things about themselves this will likely strike a good chord with them.

Could the music that led to their parting a decade ago be the bond that brings these two lovers back together again?

Performing and being on stage is the only place Rush wants to be. Rush had left a number of things behind in his home state – and Vincent was one of them. They’d broken up on bad terms and neither had considered reaching out to the other. But when they meet again they realise they’ve both grown up a lot in the intervening years. Can their high school romance survive a second test run?

I found this to be a really interesting – though slow paced – short story. I really enjoyed both Rush’s character and Vinnie’s. While the first half of the book is quite slow – setting the scene and explaining both Rush and Vinnie’s history together and a lot about the men they’ve grown to become, when they finally meet up again things move really quickly from there and the pace speeds up to a level that I really enjoyed. Initially, I was also a bit confused as to why the story was set in the early 1970s. Right toward the end of the story this aspect becomes crystal clear, but I spent nearly the whole story confused as to why this story needed to be set nearly forty years in the past.

When Rush and Vinnie finally met back up again and finally had an intense and long-overdue talk, their relationship and chemistry started to really drag me into the story. The two men together were smoking hot and I feel despite the fact there’s only one scene of intimacy between them I found it really satisfying and believable. I also really enjoyed how once their past had been squared away Vinnie and Rush’s relationship reverted back to being both best friends as well as lovers. It was clear the two men could count on each other and had the other’s back – and I adored that.

Different and a little slow to start, I found this overall to be an interesting and well written character-based story. I enjoyed it and would certainly try this author again.

I quite liked this, for a short *holiday* story.

Both Michael and Beau have a say, in the first person. Each change occurs as the chapter changes and is clearly headed, so you always know who is talking.

It doesn’t flow very well, though, and I was tempted to dump it at some points. What kept me going was when Michael was in jail and Santa and the elf turned up. Touched on the paranormal, there, and I liked that. I wanted to see how that would all play out.

It was a given that Michael and Beau would end up back together, what I wanted was the HOW it would come about. And whether Michael’s vision would come about.  And it did turn out rather well, I just found it a rather cute read, for a holiday story.

It is, though, the first of three books I can see, and I would like to read them, given the chance. I would also like to read something else by this author, with more pages and more bite.

Regan and Camryn had known each other for eighteen months and been housemates for the last six of them. While friendly, Camryn has never been keen to view Regan’s artwork, so Regan is surprised when Cam start showing a determined interest. The fact Regan has a massive crush on Cam and the soul-baring intimacy of some of his photographic pieces only makes things more difficult when Regan is determined to keep Cam’s friendship and not mess what they have up with the depth of his personal feelings.

This is a steamy friends-to-lovers style of story. I was pleased the author gave us a bit of time at the start to get a feel for Regan and Camryn’s characters, they didn’t just simply fall into bed together. I could see how they were well suited and each had been lusting after the other for quite a while. I admit I felt this story might fall a bit more into the “Happy For Now” style of relationship, not the “Happy Ever After” style mainly because both men were quite young and each only just beginning in their chosen careers and working lives. The connection and chemistry between Regan and Cam was pretty intense though and while I often don’t get the same feeling of satisfaction out of the “Happy For Now” style of relationships I felt this one might buck the trend and the two men might be able to work themselves out.

I was a little disappointed with Camryn’s freak-out when he discovered Regan wanted to practice Shibari on him. I didn’t get a good handle on why, exactly, Cam felt it so unsettled by this. Cam wanted – and was attracted – to Regan being somewhat Dominant in the bedroom and Cam considered Regan his best friend. So when Cam said he was wigged out because Regan might hurt him and he thought it was bizarre for Regan to want to tie him up, it just didn’t mesh with someone who was comfortable with some elements of BDSM and Domination in the bedroom, and a man who Cam had admitted was his closest and most important friend. This aspect of the plot passed fairly quickly, but I feel the story could have been a lot stronger had Cam’s mindset been either more strongly explained, or better fleshed out as it never really made complete sense to me and put a bit of a dampner on my enjoyment.

The sex between them is both descriptive and I found it hot and believable. There was quite a lengthy lead up between the two men so when they finally got together it was delicious and explosive. While the Shibari (bondage-style rope play) is intense and explicit, I feel this really opens up a different side of BDSM to readers. Personally, I found it interesting, fresh and a lovely flavor of different – but readers looking for something intensely kinky might not feel the same as I did.

Readers looking for a steamy and non-traditional BDSM story should find this quick read really appealing. I enjoyed it and look forward to re-reading it again in the future.

Then Damien almost died in a helicopter crash. While his physical wounds are slowly healing, the blows to his self-confidence and goodwill are almost worse. His body is broken and he’s afraid to fly—how can Preston love him now?

Preston’s merciless honesty—and relentless passion—may leverage Damien into his bed, but can Damien overcome his fears to allow himself to stay there?

Oh My Days, I bloody LOVED this book!

I loved that Preston KNEW he wanted Damien, right from when he was a child. I loved that Damien KNEW Preston wanted him, but refused to act on it. I loved that Preston’s big brother and Damien’s best friend KNEW they would be together but was getting frustrated with them both.

I loved Preston no-nonsense kinda chat. He says what he wants, and thats that. I *think* that maybe Preston falls somewhere on the Spectrum, with his mannerisms and habits, and needing to centre himself, but that was never said. To be honest I LOVED that it wasn’t laid out for you, that you have to piece that together for yourself. Some people will find Preston . . difficult. . . .to read but I really LOVED him.

Damien, at the beginning, not so much, but he does redeem himself! I understand why he thought Preston might not want him, since his accident and his injury, and I understand that Damien thought less of himself because of it. But I LOVED that once Preston get his way, Damien lets Preston run with it. Preston makes Damien SEE that, yes Damien has an injury to his leg, yes his leg is damaged and may never be the same as it was, but it is STILL Damien’s leg, and Preston wants Damien, so Preston wants the leg too.

Both Preston and Damien have a say, in the third person. I loved that they did. Like I said, I LOVED Preston and his chatting and his ways. He is why I’ve filed this book on my “warm and fuzzies” shelf. Because, strangley, but ya’ll know I’m all about my book feeling, Preston made me feel warm and fuzzy in every which way. In a wrapped up in cotton wool way, you know?

No, I expect you don’t know, I’m struggling to word how I feel about this book, to be honest!

So, I’ll just shut up but for this, I want to go back and read book one, which tells of Damien’s accident and what happened on the mountain to get him down. Some is recapped here, but we don’t get to hear from Tevyn and Mallory, and I want their story as much as I want all the gory details about Damien’s accident. I also want to know whats going on with Preston’s brother and the kid from Mexico.

So, 5 full and shiny stars!
