Callie McKenna is going home. Her father has suffered a fall from his horse and she is needed back at the ranch. She temporarily leaves New York and her promotion behind to be with her family in Montana, planning only to stay until her father is well again.

But she doesn’t expect the worse, and Callie loses her father. Nor does she expect to rekindle an old relationship with ranch hand, Murphy Reynolds.

Nothing goes according to plan. Callie must face her past, to not only mend some family fences, but to figure out what is happening between her and Murphy. She knows the choices she makes now will shape her future. But will that future be with Murphy and her family on the ranch, or will it be back in New York, where her promotion waits along with that quaint little brownstone she adores?

Callie McKenna had her personal reasons for leaving for college and not returning home, but when she receives a call that her father is in the hospital she immediately returns. Will her visit bring about family resolutions and perhaps rekindled love?

The Long Road Home: Callie is a simple plot with a predictable ending. The story is well written as far as style and editing goes but lacked story depth to me.

The continued love between Callie McKenna and Murphy Reynolds over the years seemed odd.  In the ten years Callie was gone, Murphy never married and neither did she. In fact, it appeared neither was involved in any other romantic relationship, which seems very unlikely. They loved each other that much, but she never came back home–even just to see him–in ten years? Additionally, the author didn’t give many details about her problems back home, just that she didn’t get along with her step-mother and siblings. Callie seemed to be a rational person, and her life on the ranch didn’t see to be so horrible the she had to leave and never look back. Why punish her dad and brother, as well as Murphy, if she loved them so much? There just weren’t enough details to show issues realistic enough for me to believe she’d to stay away for so many years.

Still, it was an okay read and I’m not unhappy I picked it up. It was certainly readable and the author is clearly skilled. The emotional part about Callie losing her father was sad, and how the family gathered during the grieving process was heart felt. The ending was happy and the author showed the importance of family and resolving conflicts. I was glad the family was able to heal and resolve their differences. Also, I liked how the author showed Callie taking a chance and following her heart with her love life.

Sometimes you have to tear everything down and start over…

Private security specialist Samantha Jane Carson gets the surprise of her life when she arrives at Blake Enterprises for the annual security audit. Instead of her usual contact, she’s greeted by the company president himself, the sexy and elusive J.J. Blake. It’s her job to know everything about the Blake family, and J.J.’s recent divorce is the talk of the town. Women are lined up to become the next Mrs. Blake, and who wouldn’t want to be? J.J.’s gorgeous, rich, and has stormy green eyes that hold women captive.

J.J. Blake is making some major changes in his life. Freshly divorced from ex-wife Eden, he’s building a new house, coming to terms with the injury that ended his NFL career, and is ready to start fresh—without romance complicating things. His friends and family encourage him to get back into the dating pool, but he’d rather not be sucked into those rough waters again. Work is the obvious diversion, and he opts to handle the security audit himself for some good old-fashioned guy/tech work. But when Sam Carson walks into his office, J.J.’s brought up short. The “Sam” he was expecting turns out to be Samantha—beautiful, smart, and a tough-as-nails ex-cop in a polished, professional package. And she’s just the kind of woman who could drag him under…

You find love when you least expect it.

Throughout the past few years, Kamagra, levitra ordering , and levitra. The only part of the title that fits this book is the perfect part. There was definitely not a storm in the forecast. The Perfect Storm was an enjoyable read that left me with a happy feeling.

Sometimes a reader wants to read a book that will take them to a happy place. No mystery to solve, no suspense leading the reader to a degree of anxiety; just a satisfying read with a happy ending.

The character were likable and it was enjoyable to read their story. Recently divorced J.J. Blake has plans to carry on with his life, but as a man that many women seek of course he has several dates lined up. Those dates don’t go quite to his liking but that doesn’t bother J.J. because his eyes have found the woman that he is looking for. J.J. is running the family business and it’s time for the company’s security audit. This will be J.J.’s first time handling the company’s audit, but he didn’t expect “Sam” to be an attractive Samantha Jane Carson. Sam has an impressive resume but it doesn’t equip her to handle the likes of Mr. J.J. Blake.

I enjoyed how the author took her time building the chemistry between Sam and J.J. As a reader it made the book so much enjoyable to not rush this stage of the relationship. Their connection is believable and even more romantic with the slow heighten to the sex part. Their sex was no wham-bam thank-you ma’am, but more along the lines of gathering all the ingredients to a recipe and the finished product is something enjoyable for all.

The way Sam describes J.J. a reader can’t help but adore the attraction between the two, and encourage their relationship. Two broken people deserve to find happiness in life. There was something about the time spent between Sam and J.J. getting to know each other personally, more than a physical attraction that made this book stand out to me.

The Blakes could be a model family of perfection. The members of the family, and there are a lot of them, are talented, rich, funny and most importantly they all get along. It is so charming to read about a family that supports each other, that encourage each other, and they get along and don’t purposely cause harm to each other. But of course nothing can be all the way perfect. J.J.’s ex-wife tries to bring about drama.

The plot was one I enjoyed. The author’s writing is a smooth style that is easy to read. There were a few typos, however they didn’t disrupt the flow of the story.

This is a book that I would highly recommend to readers that enjoy happy endings for characters deserving to find their way to love.

Offstage, Cass Porter looks like a teenager, but when she sings she’s all woman. Inside, she’s been hurt badly and has determined never to love again.

As their relationship develops, life at the club for Randy becomes complicated when he has to fight both Cass’s fear of opening her heart and those who want to keep them apart.

When Randy Jones stepped into The Big House, a jazz club in Harlem, to audition for an opening for a saxophone player he is not only breaking color barriers he catches the eye of sassy songstress Cass Porter. Will their hot performances trickle off stage and start to form a more serious relationship that they may not be ready to handle?

Sweet Jazz is a slow romance that took time to evolve the relationship between Cass and Randy. The plot is a refreshing read and also well written. It was nice to read about a couple actually taking their time to go out dancing, talking and discussing issues from their past, mainly growing and building a connection. I thought the book to be stretched out quite a bit with 400 pages of the same equable tone. It just didn’t have any real action for me to have kept the story going on and on. I am trying not to sound contradicting, yes I enjoyed the story but some parts could have been eliminated or shorten.

I like how Cass and Randy took up for each other. I get the feeling Cass could relate to Randy, being they both have been discriminated against; that could be a reason they were drawn to each other. Cass found Randy as someone she could trust to talk to and open up about her past. Randy as well was able to talk with ease to Cass about how he came about playing the saxophone. Each had a story to tell and in some sort of way grew from their past. Well Cass’s growth needed some work and hopefully with patience Randy will be the man to show her what real love can feel like.

The author tells the story in such detail, and depth a reader can’t help but picture the characters in motion, the unlikeable characters as well as the likable. The story is one of hope, determination and passion for the love of song, music and finding love when it’s least expected. I am sure Randy could have given up, packed up his sax and moved on, but he found something worth staying for and very well something worth standing up for…that speaks volumes.

Sweet Jazz is just as the title states. It is a sweet romantic story that like jazz, has propulsive rhythms played out in harmonic freedom. If you enjoy the laid back sounds of smooth jazz, this is a melodic story that you would want to add to your reading list.

Tequila Dirty opens up with Rita Deltone being questioned by Detective Liam Donell concerning the murder of two men. Rita is in the hospital with a gash on her head that required several stitches. Will Rita be able to help the detective solve this case?

The plot is interesting along with the author’s writing style a reader can’t help but be drawn in. Rita seems like a character that trouble seems to find and the kind of person that has an interesting life. I like the set-up of how the story is told from Rita and then later from Detective Donell. Rita’s story is one almost of humor in the way that she tells it, it almost makes you forget about the seriousness of the two murders. I felt sorry for Detective Donell, because seeing Rita at her worst he was taken by her, which leads him to not follow job protocol that could have very well opened up a can of worms that he isn’t quite able to deal with.

I’m thinking the sentencing style is along the lines of how Rita and Detective Donell would actually talk, but after so many choppy sentences it came to be a nuisance. To read. Like the editor missed checking a few sentences. That could have read smoother if they were in the proper format.

Tequila Dirty is a quick read that has a nice unpredictable twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. Though the story was short the author did a good job in building the characters and having a developed and complete plot.

Jesse Savorié stood out at the all-white 1960’s Alabama school known as Jesse Rulam Elementary—not because he was dirt poor, or big, and not even because he was gifted in natural and supernatural ways. Jesse stood out because he was black in an all-white school, in a time when slavery was still believed and whites only mattered.

The sheer evil meanness wrought by the people of the hick, red neck, Alabama town would have thwarted the plans of most humans. However, Jesse was no ordinary human. He was on a mission that was slowly revealed to him and those who were around him. He was faster, stronger, smarter, and especially, blessed. He used his mysterious abilities to help others and to teach hard lessons, the only lessons that some people can understand and learn from.

Amidst the brutality and hatred thrown at him, Jesse shines in football and friendship. If only he can survive the hangman’s noose and the forces of evil, his destiny may be realized, and his life may have miraculous effects upon the world he lives in.

Matthew, the smallest student in the class, scared and near tears forgot all about himself when he saw how Jessup stood out in his elementary class. Matthew and several others will soon come to know that Jessup isn’t only odd and stands out but his presence will impact all those that are soon to meet him.

Jesse is a magnificent book that I am so glad to have read it. The authors attention to detail and narrative during the historical time of this story is completely engaging. The plot is one that is so unique and it left me with a satisfying feeling. The author truly has a talent for writing and story telling. This is a great story presented in a masterful style.

The story starts out a typical first day for several students at Jesse Rulam Elementary, but this is the 1960’s and a mixed race student Jessup Savorié (Jesse) stands out and anyone knowing the history of the South, knows that this combination is trouble. Jesse’s history in how he came to be in that Alabama classroom is told in such a way that if you knew his story your heart would truly go out to him. Jesse, even at a young age, wearing his pants three sizes too big, didn’t let his appearance or background affect the strong personality that he magnified.

Though the content and language may be offensive to some, the author is telling the story in truth as actual events probably happened during that time.

The characters were vivid and their words and actions told with such liveliness that I couldn’t help but be emotionally stirred. I think the author gave a good depiction of the races and that both sides were spoken for. Reading the thoughts of Matthew was eye-opening for me. I was so glad to see that even though his family told him stereotypes about blacks he was able to decipher the truth for himself.

This is a moving novel that is told in several ways how Jesse helped his classmates, and community. The story is so amazing a reader will be pulled into the story and find it hard to put the book down. Jesse is a positive inspiration during a time that the South was in such chaos. His presence or being is one that can’t be explained. In fact his presence maybe puzzling if you think on it too much or too long. One reasoning could be his impact on each of the lives around him gives him purpose. I won’t reveal the simulation but it was an ah moment when I put the pieces together.

Jesse is a book that I will highly recommend. It is a book that will surely open debatable conversation for a good book club discussion.

Growing up a homeless juvenile delinquent left its mark on Gabriel Logan. He lived a throwaway existence until a former FBI agent recruited him for a fringe organization for boys like him, ones who could operate outside the law for the sake of justice. As an adult, he sets an example for the others and is slated to take over their group, until his work results in the murder of his pregnant wife.

Going through the motions of everyday life, Logan does only what’s required of him with one goal in mind: kill Hugh Langston, the man responsible for his wife’s death. When he’s handed the opportunity to bring Langston down, he jumps at the chance, but the job will challenge him more than anything in the past. Not only does he have to save Langston’s daughter from her father’s hit list, but the job seems to have come to them a little too easily. Logan must find a way to not only rescue the one woman who can take down his biggest enemy, but also look into the men he trusts most to discover which one of them is betraying The Boys Club.

Assisting the law by using their own method of justice, The Boys Club has an evoking plot that drew me into the suspense in the first chapter.

Gabriel Logan’s life has been the definition of unfortunate circumstances. One of those earlier unfortunate circumstances is what leads him to meet Jim Schaffer, which ultimately introduced him into the boys club. The Boys Club is an organization created to help troubled young men and put them on the right side of the law.

When his life seems to have taken a turn for the better, his world is shattered when his pregnant wife is killed. Years later Logan still hasn’t dealt with the lost of his wife. He is still heartbroken and the break is even deeper knowing the man that killed his wife is still free. Has his chance for vengeance drawn near when he is assigned to protect the daughter of man who killed his wife?

The Boys Club is well written in a writing style that I enjoy. It’s a great story that isn’t wordy or filled with unnecessary dialogue and description. This is the second book I’ve read by this author in which I enjoyed her writing in that novel as well, Conduit. Her writing is satisfying. Her stories flow and have a sense of realness. The character she create have personality and feelings. This type of writing is one that I enjoy and find pleasure in reading.

For some reason I thought there would have been more action; maybe the title, the awesome book cover or the line of work that Logan is in gave me that impression. But personally I found this book to be a heavy percent more geared towards romance. Not saying that as a bad thing because the author’s writing is written where I could see the actual scenes played out as I was reading. And yes the book did include some action scenes that I had to squint my eyes while reading. There also was a scene where I noticed my heart rate increased in anticipation of how things would play out. I wanted new love to prevail and the bad guys were interfering with the ‘happy ever after’ ending I had in my mind for the main character.

With the attraction between two lost souls I couldn’t help but find myself hoping the best out come for them. Sara Langston is pretty much a loner besides her best friend, Mary Flynn. Sara is the daughter of a wealthy and powerful man, Hugh Langston. With an arranged marriage lined up and a job picked out for her along with her own personal security detail, Sara longs to rebel at being controlled so much by her father and fiance. Now that her wedding day is approaching she is hesitant and questions herself about the marriage and the future that has been planned out for her. Will she stand up and voice her true feelings before it is too late?

I enjoyed Sara’s character because I felt she was a strong woman, but she was unsure of how to cut the string that her father had on her. For some reason I thought Logan could have been stronger; it seemed he was wallowing in grief still and not really dealing with his pain. Meaningless sex, risking his job, for a moment I thought that he would lose his sorrows in temporary satisfaction of the bottle. I was glad to see that Sara opened up places in his heart that only his wife touched. He was dealing with unresolved pain, and obviously he had a void in his life that he was trying to fill.

I enjoyed the story and for some odd reason I can see a series continuing The Boys Club, with the life of Logan and Sara as their story continues on.

Sometimes, the dead are best left in peace.

Jessica Backman has been called to help a strange family living on a haunted island in Charleston Harbor. The phantoms of over one hundred children cannot rest.

But something far more insidious is living on the island. When the living and the dead guard their true intentions, how can Jessica discover just what sort of evil lurks on Ormsby Island? And why is Jessica the only one who can plumb its dark depths?

Island of the Forbidden serves up a chilling mystery that is made for an episode of paranormal reality television.

What evil lurks beneath the facade of the well known Ormsby mansion; a mansion with a history though out Charleston Harbor for its haunting family massacre? Jessica Backman and Eddie Home have been summons by the new owners to investigate strange happenings on the Ormsby Island. and they will soon discover the horrific events that will leave readers with goose-bumps.

Jessica seems to be running from her past when she hesitates to return Eddie or her Aunt Eve phone calls. I am not sure if there was a novel before this one, but the relationship between Jessica and Eddie feels like they had a shaky past working as a team before. There is a lot of reference to a previous event but only hints of it, no details as to what actually happened that made them so stand-offish towards each other. For something that was mentioned quite a bit I found it strange that the full details of what happened was not revealed some time during this read.

The book did seem to have a few slow parts of just watching and discussing what the EBs (energy beings) were doing. The island is known for having a horrific past, so of course Jessica did her research on the island history and what happened there but they didn’t seem to have devised an immediate plan of action to take. Then, unbeknownst to Jessica and Eddie, psychic medium Nina D’Arcangela shows up at the house. The additional people being invited brings about a different view of the owners agenda. Not knowing who to trust, Jessica and Eddie decide to leave the island, but the EBs doesn’t like this idea and will insure that Jessica and Eddie stay to get justice for the Last Kids. Once Nina and the team starts stirring up the EBs emotions, this is when the action picks up and Jessica and Eddie’s investigation starts to move along. This was my favorite part of the book. The way the author tells the story with such details and the characters all in motion delivers such an explosive ending.

The plot was well developed and written in a chilling manner. The author has a talent for writing that flows and tells a story of interest, along with building a creative story with high levels of hair-raising eerie feelings that comes along with reading such sinister subject matter. Eddie’s ability to see the dead around him left me with a ‘somebody’s watching me’ feeling. The cold temperature of the island and how the EBs drew Jessica’s power left me with chills.

Island of the Forbidden is a paranormal read that I would recommend.

Declining male masculinity or a life saving warningErectile dysfunction can occur because of either poor blood flow into the penis or mental stimulation (erotic online cialis thoughts). The author has a nice writing flow along with a talent for telling a detailed story. The story started out with my full interest; giving me hopes that this was going to be a good story. The sexy rich Kassian is right there to save Katrina in her time of need, and thankfully he is not willing to let her go because she may still be in danger. They were perfect strangers but the author’s skills displayed an attraction that was so obvious that it could not be denied. Katrina and Kassian just seemed to fit and have a connection to one another. It’s a refreshing read to let the attraction heighten without carrying the relationship prematurely to the bedroom.

Kassian was a likable character. Throughout the book he showed he knows how to take control of many situations. I liked that Kassian has fame and money but he still has a kind heart in offering Katrina safety. I also like the true friendship between Kassian and his long time friend, Luca Fiorell. Also, it was admirable that Kassian stayed committed in getting Rapier, even with it being 100 years since his sister disappeared.

There was a slow build to the plot climax. For a story that speaks of murder, as a reader I was disappointed to only hear about the murders and not see them on the page. The majority of the story was spent on the romance and relationship part of the story. I was almost half-way through the book before the killer’s view was mentioned or any visual of murder was given in detail.

Something I found strange was that halfway through the book, in the middle of kissing mind you, Katrina reveals to Kassian who her father is. She says she found a picture of him and her mother, but she never knew who her father was, so how did she come to the conclusion that the man in the picture was her father? The family relationship of who Katrina’s father and brother is didn’t add anything to the story, in fact it boggled it down with a complex tangent that took away from a already busy plot about a killer, a blossoming romance, vengeance for a missing sister, and the witch and earthbound lifestyle.

There were interesting and unique actions mentioned like the men tattoos turning into daggers, and a cat turning into a man. There were words used that were in reference to earthbound and empath that I am not familiar with and I give thanks to the author for including a understandable definition within the storyline.

Undiscovered Angel is an entertaining read that is sure to give pleasure to those that enjoy a good paranormal romance.

Being around Emily again has made Reese reconsider his bachelor life style. But now that the threat of the other man is gone, the pesky ghost wants Reese to break things off. Can he and Emily find the love they were denied, or will the ghost of her dead husband destroy their chances?

Reese Caster, a single surgeon who’s known as a ladies man is propositioned by his friend Joey Tillman, but the catch is Joey has been dead for a year.

I really enjoyed Caster’s Unfriendly Ghost. It was a entertaining quick read. I like the writer’s writing style. She had a subtle way of describing the characters and her description in delivering the setting were masterful. The characters are captivating and the plot intriguing. This was a book that kept my interest through out. The characters were good hearted and a pleasure to read about. They had lucrative careers but found pleasure in volunteering in helping raise money for charity in putting on their annual haunted forest.

Joey’s soul can’t rest until his wife finds happiness; this brings about his proposition to Reese. The guy that Emily is dating is up to no good, so Joey calls in Reese, who happens to have broken Emily’s heart many years ago, to scare away the new guy. With a twist of his arm Reese finally accepts and agrees to help Joey. A question I asked while reading the book was: is Joey able to handle the outcome of what he put into motion?

This is the kind of book that I like that leaves something until the end so you can’t figure everything out before you get there. You know it will be a happy ending, but the author gives a little twist that makes the reader say … oh, clever thinking.

It’s obvious the love that Reese and Emily shared in the past didn’t stop when the relationship ended. They share an attraction between each other that is so obvious. Emily is quite a lucky woman to have such good guys looking out for her. I found this book to be happy, but also a pinch of sadness. Love in it self can be complex but add in friends, ex-lovers and old feelings it’s a mix that is sure to bring about a satisfying read.

This is a highly recommended book for any reader that is looking for a easy satisfying read.

Growing progressively weaker, Richard must protect Angel Falls from mysterious goings-on in the woods, convince Amber she’s his soul-mate, and reunite with his Shadow Self. But when Amber’s past catches up to her, he might not have the strength to be her protector.

My Protector Part 2 picks up where part one leaves off with Amber and Richard in Angel Falls on a robbery call. They end up not really investigating the robbery but instead sharing their past life events and current feelings. Richard confesses his feelings and desire for Amber and it seems the robbery was forgotten, and finding his shadow wolf wasn’t a priority.

The author has a talent and skill for writing however the story wasn’t the best plot wise. It has potential and the idea behind the plot idea intrigued me, but wasn’t fully investigated.  Instead, the main plot seemed more based on Amber and Richard mating, with bits of Amber’s prior marriage and the skin hunters just thrown in to add some additional filling.

I was frustrated, too, with Amber.  Her low self-esteem about her body was a mood killer. Richard is ready to mate and she continuously wants to point out that her breast aren’t firm, that she has stretch marks and that her underwear doesn’t match.

I have nothing negative to say about the author’s skill, however.  It is obvious the author has many entertaining stories to tell, but to me this story needs more structural development. I’d absolutely be willing to give more of her work a try.
