“There are no safe words for love. ”

“Come Again, Book 4”

Bonita Pritchard has tried everything to get over the one woman she can t have, movie star and secret lover Kat St. James. Yoga, tantra, psychotherapy, even BDSM. Nothing has helped for long.

Hanging on the thinnest thread of denied desire, Bonita heads for Hollywood to get her Kat fix, fully intending to return straight home to her sex-toy boutique, Come Again. Until she sees the surprise Kat has in store for her.

Playing the talented bad girl kick-started Kat s career twelve years ago. Now she s famous, filthy rich and totally miserable. Leaving Bonita in Norton was a mistake, and she s planning one last attempt to fix it by transforming her king-sized closet into a dungeon. And using her training as a Domme to satisfy her lover s latest kink.

Soon, their white-hot need for each other transcends their desire to protect Kat s heterosexual screen-siren image. But when compromising pictures surface, Kat realizes there s only one way to beat the tabloid gossip that s tearing them apart. Fight fire with fire.

How long do you wait for the one you love to come to you?

Movie star Kat has been in love with Bonita since their early small town days. Every time she gets close, Bonita runs home, leaving Kat to her career and a cold bed. Tired of playing with strangers and getting weary of pretending to be something she isn’t, Kat is ready to make a change—no matter what people think. Ready for Bonita’s escape routine, Kat lays down a trap that is sure to catch her. Kat has thrown down the gauntlet. But is she really ready for her beauty to meet her inner beast?

Bonita has turned to BDSM to capture some of the euphoria she experienced in Kat’s arms. Afraid of threatening her lover’s hetero movie star façade, she visits Kat when she can, but immediately leaves after she gets her fix. It was working. For awhile. When Kat goads her into coming to Hollywood, she follows the bread trail-with reservations. Afraid of falling for the one woman she can’t hold onto, she is ready to make love and run. The only problem is Kat has changed the rules.

These two ladies collide in a frenzy of passion and kink that will make any f/f book lover wild. Kat has turned her walk-in closet into a dungeon and has a whole new arsenal to tempt her beauty into staying. But will she? Is Kat brave enough to throw her career to the wind for love? Will Hollywood embrace a lesbian actress? Bonita doesn’t think so. Trying to save Kat from herself, she makes a decision that will devastate them both. Will she have enough courage to make it right? Great snappy dialog, sex scenes that curl your toes and a fast character driven plot that made you care about the characters even when they were at their worst. Awesome read!

Miranda Baker is going on my must read list. She writes with passion and I felt like I was right there, in the dungeon getting a spanking myself. *sigh*. Top marks for diving head on into the tough double standard of Hollywood-the scandals and the hype. It was totally hot and spicy and I am ready to read the next f/f book by this author. The sooner the better.

This book fits right in with a lot of f/f author themes I have seen on the web this month. Make sure you capture Girl Trouble on your e-reader. You won’t want to miss this red hot read!

Discipline with Love
As Joanna stands facing the wall awaiting her first punishment and wondering whether she will be able to go through with it, she thinks back to how it all started – the auspicious day she typed the word ‘spanking’ into a search engine. She remembers how she and Graeme first communicated by email, then phone, and finally agreed to meet – which was a case of falling in love on sight. She recalls the day she learned the difference between erotic spanking and real punishment. Her mind made up, she removes her panties and relives the events of the last few days, which have culminated in her standing here. She feels sick with dread as Graeme unbuckles his belt. Will their love survive this most testing time?

Farmer’s Girl
Desperate for money in the aftermath of World War I, Maisie’s parents are forced to put her into service in Scotland. Her father tells Mr Gavin Hamilton that she might need ‘a lick of the strap’ now and then to help her pay attention to her work. Maisie is to be punished for inattention to her duties, but an accident causes Gavin to change his plans for her. Maisie’s dreamy ways constantly lead to her getting into trouble, and Gavin is astounded by her actions when he tells her to prepare for punishment. Maisie takes a hard strapping, and Gavin discovers there is far more to her than meets the eye!

Sisters in Crime
Kathy arrives to spend a whole month with her older sister, Lindsey and her husband Ben. Kathy is fun but chaotic and Ben is known for being strict. Less than a day later Kathy is in big trouble. She borrowed and damaged her sisters car and has been arrested for having no license. Ben takes both women home from the police station. Much to Kathy’s amazement, her sister is put over her husband’s knee and spanked thoroughly – and it’s her turn next! After receiving her first adult spanking she decides that she hopes to find a husband just like Ben. A week later Ben invites a friend over for dinner. A single, male friend called Peter – who also believes that at times a good spanking can be very effective indeed. He deals with Kathy, in the time honoured way!

This book contains three short stories of spanking love.

Discipline with Love: this first story is about Joanna and Graeme. With the purchase of her first computer a whole new world is open to Joanna. Late one night, feeling particularly brazen, she types in a secret, hidden fantasy of hers: Spanking. Once again, the world tilts sideways and Joanna courageously steps into a new future of chat boards, instant messaging and writing all her fantasies out and sharing them with her online friends. Far from being “unnatural” or alone, she discovers there is a whole lot of people living the sexual life she dreams of.

Thoroughly enjoyable, I found this an interesting read. I feel it’s an excellent introduction into how a regular woman might become enthralled with and enter into a life of mild bondage with regular spanking. The manner in which Graeme and Joanna are introduced, meet and start a relationship seems quite realistic to me. What I mainly struggled with, though, was the manner the story jumped near constantly from Joanna’s present, to retrospective background filling in. There’d be a paragraph of her “in the present”, and she’d then spend a page recalling step by step how she got where she was. This constant to and fro made me feel as if the story was very disjointed, even though I understand what the author strove to achieve.

Overall this was an interesting story, a lovely introduction showing how an alternative relationship can blossom, build slowly and once the love and trust is there, explode with a sharp bang.

In Farmer’s Girl Gavin’s wife didn’t have long to live, dying of a broken heart after both their sons were killed in the Great War. Maisie was twenty, old enough to do some general housekeeping and farm work. So to earn a bit more money for her struggling parents – with five other children to feed – she begins to work for Gavin to keep a roof over her family’s head. She takes care of Mrs. Hamilton and does a number of regular farm chores. A daydreamer though, she is strapped for her transgressions when her mind waders too far afield and she is neglectful of her duties.

I found this to be a wonderful, but quite old fashioned piece. I often had to read the dialogue slowly, as the accents, while traditional, were sometimes difficult for me to easily understand. The set up and entire short story gave the definite feel of an older story, much like reading a piece written in Victorian England or and old Western. Although Gavin fights his growing desire for Maisie, and Maisie herself is a little too simple-minded to understand her own feelings to begin with, I felt somewhat uncomfortable with the start of their attraction. Maisie could have easily been taken advantage of, and Gavin was still married and his wife not yet passed. Other readers might not feel like this, but it did make me, personally, hesitate and I wasn’t able to enjoy the story as much as I had hoped. There is also no clear resolution in the end – not even a “happy for now” style of ending, though it’s clearly hopeful, not at all depressing or sad. The romance reader in me struggled with these things, but I certainly also feel the writing is excellent and the build up of the whole situation is wonderfully paced and set.

Sisters in Crime: Lindsay is excited that her little sister, Kathy is coming to stay for a month. Lindsay’s husband, Ben, also welcomes his sister in law with open arms. When Kathy borrows the car the following day to do some shopping, she neglects to tell Lindsay – or Ben – that she doesn’t have her full license. When she gets into an accident, Lindsay reluctantly agrees not to tell Ben, but he’s already at the police station when he overhears this. Lindsay knows the routine of her spanking punishment when lies and deceit come into her relationship with Ben, but Kathy is about to have her eyes opened wide as she too, now, is included in this aspect of their marriage.

This is a fun and very sexy story about two sisters sharing a spanking experience. While it certainly won’t appeal to everyone, I found it very tastefully written and with quite a light hand. Certainly not a comedic piece, it nevertheless feels more fun and happier than the other two short stories in this ensemble. I got a big kick out of the man Ben tried to set Kathy up with, and also found the ramifications of her actions to be both hot and amusing.

All three of these stories are well written and should appeal to a wide audience. All three stories are different and I feel cater to different tastes while still revolving solidly around spanking. An interesting and eclectic mix, this should have something that appeals to most readers.

rishman Brogan Byrne is at the pinnacle of 1974 rock-music success. Handsome, charismatic, with a three-octave voice, you’d think he had it all. But Byrne sinks to new depths of depravity with women, liquor, and drugs.

Carly Montgomery is an ambitious record executive offered an opportunity to be manager for the last leg of Byrne’s tour. Though she’s detached and tough as nails, Carly’s cool facade comes under attack. Somehow Byrne manages to slip by her frosty defenses.

Brogan, for his part, is broken inside. A past memory weighs on his soul, affecting his actions. Is Carly the one woman to help him forget his guilt and heal his heart of rock?

Heart of Rock is a short novella, yet is very intense, so didn’t feel too short at all. It sucked me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I cried a tear at the very end.

Brogan Byrne can be rude, obnoxious, and in general a major prick but he can’t be hated. I tried. The very beginning of the book depicts him as a drug addict sex fiend who can’t appreciate what’s been given to him, but as the story progress, his layers are pulled back and a broken man is exposed. His issues all stem from a horrible path that left me shocked and heartbroken and gave me the ability to understand his pain much better.

But Brogan is not only pain and suffering, he has personality. He has a physique to die for and a voice that could melt anyone’s heart. Mrs. Gerrard does a splendid job at describing this charisma and I felt as if it literary jumped off the pages.

It is, I believe, almost impossible not to fall for Brogan Bryne. Carly, the heroine, did a great job at trying. She had reasons that also hinted at a dark past filled pain, for not getting involved. However, her tough, work-centered attitude was no match against the desire and emotion surging between her and Brogan. Still, watching her fight, attempt to stay afloat, fall a little and then get up and fight some more, was wonderful.

Though he’s only a secondary character, I have to mention Glo. I enjoyed reading about him and the help he always was for both Brogan and Carly.

Mrs. Gerrard not only depicts vivid sexual scenes between the characters, but also romantic, heartfelt scenes. At times the sexual tension between Brogan and Carly was palpable but so was the need, that something special that made their relationship a lot more important than just a simple conquest.

Heart of Rock is a very enjoyable novella, with characters that feel real, sizzling passion, tender emotions and the best kind of music. A definite must read!

Owner of one of the most successful brothels in London, Madame Marie Marchander has seen and done it all. Jaded by the hand life dealt her, she gave up on love the night her virginity was auctioned off twenty years earlier. But then the boy, now a man, she once loved walks in to her establishment.

Jonathan Pierce, Baron Heartfield, had waited too long to save the woman he loved. A man no longer bound by the vows taken as a boy nor under the influence of his father, he is determined to woo and win the heart of the only woman he ever loved. The fact she was forced in to prostitution is of little consequence beyond the guilt he bears for not interceding with her father.

Resolved to prove to Jonathan that she is not in need of saving, nor is she an appropriate wife, Marie agrees to take him as a lover for six months. Steadfast in his love, he launches an assault on her heart with all the strategy his years in the military afford him. His only goal, to reclaim her love.

The Market in Amsterdam has long been known for its erotic entertainment, which is the perfect setting for this sultry story.

Jonathan and Marie’s relationship is certainly explosive. These two seem to have a passion for one another that oozes out into everything they do, whether it be argue with one another, seduce each other, or make love. Even in the very beginning I knew they were meant to be together and that everything else could be worked out. This also made me root for Jonathan because I knew he would do anything to finally get the woman he loved and he did not disappoint.

One thing I would have liked to know more about was the past, both between the two characters as well as separately. The author gives clues to what happened between them, but I think the whole story would have added a bit more interest for me as well as sympathy. This is especially true because at times I found Marie holding her emotions at bay a bit too much. A better understanding of her past would have helped me understand why she seemed to need such control in her life.

The sex play in this story was plentiful and exciting. I found both Marie and Jonathan’s ability to accept one another truly displayed in the bedroom. Especially for Jonathan and his ability to take whatever Marie can dish out, no matter if she is in control in the bed or if it were he himself. I found either situation endearing and erotic. These scenes truly made the story, and made me want to know what would be utilized in the bedroom next. So anyone who is looking for an erotic tale with a variety of sex play will enjoy this story.

Big, tough, sexy linebacker Matt Rubin is a killer on the field—but a willing slave in the dungeon to his voluptuous, beautiful Domme.

Keisha loves her buff, gorgeous sex slave. It is the ultimate erotic gratification—having such a strong, intimidating man completely at her sexual command.

Then a health crisis forces them to make a temporary switch. The sex slave becomes the Master. Keisha is totally out of her element and they both wonder how they can ever really go back to that perfect love.

In this book we meet Keisha and Matt, a happy couple living the BDSM lifestyle. In their lives, Matt is the slave and Keisha is the Mistress but when a crisis strikes their roles must be reversed. Can Matt get Keisha to let him take the reins or will he end up loosing her?

The plot to this book is a common problem facing many women today and it is killing Keisha. As Matt tries to help Keisha he must take over her role until she is well enough to be the Mistress she was before. I really liked Matt. He is a big strong man who has had a hard life and feels the need and enjoys a different kind of sex life. His love for Keisha is so strong I could practically feel it and Keisha’s love is just as strong. I enjoyed the way they used this love to help each other through it all. No matter what happened they knew that their love was always something that could be counted on. It was also nice to see Matt realize that he must help himself as well as help Keisha and he finds a way to do just that.

The love between Matt and Keisha shows throughout this book and makes for a wonderful read. We not only get a hot tale but this book also shows us a great relationship between two wonderful people and how they work together to fix what is wrong.

The characters in this book are full of depth and strong emotions, making this a book that should not be missed. This is book four in this series and even though you can read it as a standalone it would be better to read the previous books in this series to better understand the world of the Rebels and the people in it. This book was a great read and I cannot wait to see which Rebel will get his story told next.

Zetithians have a feline gene that gives the males remarkable sexual prowess. Refugee Dax is no exception—but as a virgin, he has no idea how to use it. His fumbling attempts at romance fail to tempt the beautiful Ava, but he is determined to learn the art of love. Let the seduction begin…

Virgin blew me away with its entertaining story line, exciting possibilities and more purr-fectly charming Zetithians for fans to swoon over. Ms. Brooks might have heard me squealing in delight when I found out that Virgin is a continuation of the series that I fell in love with. I’m pretty sure I was that loud in my excitement. This is most definitely a standalone read because it picks up with one of the survivors of that ship at the end of Hero. I met a lot of new and fascinating characters and I commend the author and her creative talents.

What am I referring to? Every time the author introduces a new character, he or she appears so naturally and provides ample opportunities for the hero and heroine through their interactions with them to grow, and for the plot to move forward. Another thing with Ms. Brooks’ writing is her sense of humor. If her characters can pull off a joke or pun or have dialogue scenes with witticisms that make a reader roll on the floor, the author finds every one of them and uses them to perfection. In this latest book, her sense of fun and the ridiculous is as sharp as ever. All someone has to do is mention Ms. Brooks’ name and I break out into a grin.

When the book starts, a reader meets the heroine, Ava, first. I got the biggest kick out of her but don’t let her anywhere near your frying pans. She’s a woman with smokin’ hot passions and I’m not talking about her cooking. She’s courageous, clever, quick on her feet and even more alien than the past heroines in the series. I am in love with her hair. Kudos to the author for making something so ordinary into the most amusing, unique and captivating feature a heroine has ever had. It is a brilliant stroke of genius and is another testimony to Ms. Brooks’ vivid imagination.

Dax is one of the newly found Zetithians and he’s so dreamy. I really enjoyed reading about his falling in love and how he goes about it. It’s not perfect and that made it all the more special. I also enjoyed the role he ends up playing. It was sort of mystical and very heroic. What makes it even better? He wasn’t doing it for the glory but something a lot more basic and romantic, love. My favorite description of him comes from Ava: “He was a big purring kitten of a man…” How can a reader not fall in love with him too?

I had an absolute blast with the secondary characters. Waroun constantly gave me the giggles, Kots was creepy and totally cool, Threldigan is a character I’d love to know more about, and Quinn was a character with a surprising bit of depth, after he took a bath.

Remember I mentioned fun dialogue? This line had me in stitches and is just a small example of the fun that is in store for readers throughout the entire book. “…you want to get dinner over with so you can get back to the ship and play snuggle bunnies with Super Kitten.” There are so many moments of wonderful repartee between Dax, Ava and the other characters that it made reading this story a breeze. I never knew who was going to say what and it guaranteed my absolute focus on the story. I didn’t want to miss a thing.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t tease readers with the hot factor in the book. Yes, the powerful snard is back but I also think the author challenged herself a bit with some of the physical relationship scenes this time around. It’s really eyebrow raising and quite erotic and yet even in the midst of all those increased pheromones, some scenes get tickled with the brush of humor to an enjoyable degree. I loved it!

It’s not all purrs, bites and sex in trees; there are some seriously nasty villains chasing Dax and Ava. At one point I thought there was one group but as I read I figured out that there were two factions chasing my new favorite hero and heroine and I didn’t know which group was worse and who was going to get to them first. It was a great bit of writing because it kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked the idea that things the main characters thought they knew were actually mistruths and the revelations were gripping. The confrontation was full of action and crisp writing and I felt like I was right in the thick of it. It’s another strong point in this book’s favor.

Virgin is high caliber entertainment from beginning to end – it hit all my happy buttons and I couldn’t put it down. I continue to be amazed as to the quality and vibrant imagery painted within its pages, whether it be flora, fauna or characters. Ms. Brooks has consistently written well thought out intricate stories that amuse and entertain and Virgin continues the trend. It’s been an awesome reading experience and I am so glad the author has more coming out. I simply can’t get enough of that snard!

Her most important duty—serve the master’s pleasure.

Emily’s dreams are simple: a life of dedicated service at a respectable estate, and a strong marriage filled with love and devotion for one man. Portage Place, the manor where her parents apprenticed, seems the perfect place to start. Though it is whispered that all is not as it seems behind its grand façade.

The rumors, it turns out, ring with truth. The halls are saturated with sensuality, desire and lust. Despite the scandalous duties she is asked to perform, she is determined not to stumble on what could be her first step toward her dreams. Dreams that, lately, have included the manor’s fiery haired groomsman.

A promise to watch over his younger half-brother brought Adam to Portage Place. For the first time in five years of enjoying the delights of the manor’s unbridled debauchery, Emily’s innocence touches the protector that still lives deep in his core. This house of sin may have ruined him, but he will see to it that it doesn’t ruin her.

It seems, however, that behind every door lurks a conspiracy to bind Emily in velvet chains of desire. Until the only way out is for Adam to take the biggest risk of all…

Emily Grey has followed in her parents’ footsteps and takes appointment and position at Portage Place. After all, where can a young woman go that provides employment and keeps her out of the brothels?

All Emily desires is a man who loves her and a family of her own, but the desires at Portage Place are far different than she ever imagined. Owned and run by a peerage father and his very demanding sons, there is no sexual appetite that cannot and will not be satisfied at any time and any place. Then she meets Adam, a charming, handsome and very sexy groomsman. Adam has vowed to protect Emily from the decadence and frivolity of the master and his sons but soon loses his heart to the young, trusting and inexperienced chambermaid.

Lacy Danes writes a tale of the life of a young Victorian woman with little choices in making her way through life. Emily’s life is somewhat preordained with little means to deviate from its path. Her realization and acceptance into the life of Portage Place, the men, the women and the one man who does have to ability to take possession of her heart is the center of the story. You cheer for her and her hopes of a different sort of future and to fulfill her passion for that one very special man.

This was an interesting story and a very different type of story with an inevitable outcome but the direction of the characters was interesting with a very sudden and quick twist that I never saw coming! Life in the late 19th century was for the very rich; the very poor had little or no rights or control over their futures and it is fun to take arms for one young and determined woman to forge her own path. A thoroughly enjoyable story.

Fairy Godmothers don’t always know what’s best. Or do they?

“If love is pain, I want to be hurt!”

It must have been her distress over being dumped by Sir Justin that made Princess Lilly less than precise expressing her wish to her Fairy Godmother. Otherwise, she would not have ended up the indignant prisoner of Sir Gawain, a vile knight who wouldn’t know how to properly treat a princess if the instructions whacked him upside his armored helm.

She should be angry, but she has no one to blame but herself, and no way out. The Kidnapping of Damsel Laws are very specific—once she is taken, she has no choice but to submit to his seduction. Every kiss, caress…and spanking.

Still, she’s determined not to make it easy for him. If he thinks he will bend her to his delicious…no, barbaric intentions, he has a serious flaw in his logic. Yet as he carefully executes his plan of exquisitely pain-laced pleasure, she finds her body responding quite against her will. And her mind racing with immoral thoughts that threaten her jealously guarded virtue.

Until there is a very small, tiny, remote possibility that Sir Gawain might win her hand…

Princess Lilly learned the hard way that, when wishing to your fairy godmother, you must be precise. Who knew that when she said, “If love is pain, I want to be hurt!” that her godmother would take her literally. After all, she had just been dumped by Sir Justin, for another Princess.

Enter Sir Gawain, kidnapping her in the middle of the night in accordance with the Kidnapping of Damsel Laws, and whisking her away to his castle. Also in accordance to the law, once abducted, Princess Lilly must submit to any and all demands made upon her by Sir Gawain, whether she enjoys them or not. Although she puts up a very good front of disinterest, inside, Lilly finds that she enjoys being dominated and punished, enough so that when Sir Justin kidnaps her from her abductors castle, she schemes for a way for Sir Gawain to end up as her rescuer.

Will Princess Lilly get the one she wants-Sir Gawain? Or will the Damsel In Distress Law be invoked, giving Lilly to the Dragon? If so, can Sir Gawain reach her in time to claim her and defeat the dragon?

Nick Howard has written a funny and, at times, ridiculous version of the classic Damsel in Distress fairy tale. But this is definitely not one for children. This is hot, and funny and sexy, and just a joy to read. The characters are all stereotypes of the classic tales: the self centered princess, the two knights, one the barbarian and one the civilized but spoiled rich boy.

Princess Lilly is the spoiled and self-centered royal. But as this story goes along, there is a hidden bit of her that comes to the surface, and she is as surprised by it as I was. I loved how she not only faced her situation with determined aloofness, but also was soon ‘suggesting’ to Sir Gawain other ‘punishments’ he might employ.

Sir Gawain is the rough but rich hero, handsome and determined to win Princess Lilly’s acceptance. He realizes that she wants what he offers, but has to follow the ‘rules’ concerning Kidnapping of Damsels and other bureaucratic nonsense. And when Sir Justin abducts the kidnapped Princess Lilly, Sir Gawain is up to the challenge.

I found this to be a humorous and delightful satire on fairy tales, with several hot and interesting twists and turns. There is a happy ever after here, but it is found only after much laughter and fun.

Candy Nelson: Candy has wandered into a nightmare — a slave auction in Southeast Asia. Things like this don’t happen — not in the twenty-first century. She isn’t supposed to be here. She needs to get out. Now. But from across the room, a man’s eyes meet hers, and Candy knows she’ll do whatever it takes…

Terry Bradford: Male Escort. Terry needs money, fast. So he answers an ad on the internet. Six thousand euros for a week’s vacation in France, all expenses paid, entertaining Lady Elizabeth at her private villa. Sounds like the perfect plan, right? After all, it’s just sex. Then he meets a woman in the airport — a woman who will make him question everything he knows about what is means to be a man.

Richard Marten: Ani’s stressed. She really needs to forget her asshole boss, Richard. (Candy’s asshole ex-husband). She also needs to get laid. (The two dilemmas are soooo not related.) Crystal’s got a membership at The Fetish Club. Two girlfriends. One bottle of tequila. And a charity auction… How bad can it get? Crystal wants Ani. Ani wants revenge. Richard has… the Victoria’s Secret underwear?

Welcome to the world of C.H.A.S.E. – The Coalition for Humanitarian Aid for the Subjugated and Exploited. People the world over need help, whether from making innocent mistakes or by getting in over their heads, and that’s when they need to be rescued. Two of the stories in this collection involve C.H.A.S.E. and its efforts to do just that, while setting the scene for the third and final story. A great collection of stories, all interconnected with one another, that just flow from one to the next with ease.

The first story in this collection is called All I Want for Christmas and is a great introduction to Ms. Morgen’s world of C. H. A. S. E. What starts out as a routine trip to Singapore on a work assignment quickly becomes more than Candy could have ever dreamed. Suddenly wrapped up in a human trafficking ring, she’s torn between the man she’s come to love and getting home safely. I love the way the lawyer in Candy comes out every time things get to be overwhelming. It’s like she has a second person inside her just ready to step out and organize things at a moment’s notice. It’s a realistic way to keep her from falling to pieces and yet keeping it believable. When you combine her reserve with the raw power and sexuality of the man she rescues – Brook – you are in for some serious fireworks. A sweet story spiced in all the right ways to make it more than hot.

Following All I Want for Christmas is a more intense and serious story entitled Plain Brown Wrapper. Kelly, fed up with her egotistical boss, walks out after being called the wrong name one too many times. Insistent on following her true desire – to become a female domme and live the lifestyle for real – she encounters Terry, working for a male escort company. The story only just begins there – Shelby Morgen has quite a knack for intense stories. In addition to delving into the world of BDSM, she takes the story along a dark path laced with sex and submission. Kelly discovers her true strength while learning that complete control is a frightening thing. Terry, while handsome and independent, discovers that giving up that elusive thing called control can be not just scary but utterly freeing. Combined, they are a powerful couple, encouraging and supportive of the other’s fears and insecurities. A great story to continue the series and keep you engaged and involved.

Wrapping up this steamy collection is Welcome to the Fetish Club. Desperate to let his feminine side out, Richard Marsden allows himself to be sold as a ‘gurl’ in a charity auction… little does he realize he’ll be going home with his receptionist and her Mistress. Easily one of the most erotic and involved bondage stories I’ve ever read, Welcome to the Fetish Club delves deeply into the world of BDSM and the life of a submissive. While also being the most explicit of the three stories, it also contains probably the most profound character changes as well. Richard does a complete 360 in both attitude and thought by the end of his story. While I hated him during his brief appearances in the first two stories, I really did begin to like him during this last one. That is just a hint at how much he evolves.

Loaded with some of the hottest sex around, the C. H. A. S. E. Collection by Shelby Morgen is an exhilarating and erotic series of stories centering on abused and helpless people, stuck in situations far beyond their control. Well-written, with a nice balance between the intimate, the serious, and the silly, this collection begins mild and works its way up from there. For me, the best feature is that each story interlinks with characters from the stories before, giving the series more continuity and the feel of a cohesive novel. While I don’t require that in an anthology, it sure does raise the appeal for me. If you’re a fan of the dangerous and the very, very sexy, then Plain Brown Wrapper (C.H.A.S.E Collection) is the perfect collection of stories to warm your winter nights.

Three men and a leprechaun? When Dermot, Greg and Zev meet at the wedding of a past lover, a little green guy offers each man a golden opportunity to possess his greatest desire. Unfortunately, figuring out what that greatest desire amounts to isn’t as easy as it sounds.

When computer nerd Zevulan Cable awakens in a dungeon, bare-ass naked, chained to a bed as gorgeous, identical-twin witches have their sensual way with his body, he figures he’s found his greatest desire, just as the leprechaun promised. Then why is the tiny, sexless woodsprite the one who captures his heart? And how can he explain his growing need to howl at the moon?

Would you want your heart’s desire? What if your heart’s desire wasn’t what you expected it to be? Zevulan Cable is a geek: a computer nerd if you will, who thinks he wants beautiful women at his beck and call. Until a chance encounter with a leprechaun in the Irish countryside puts him in a whole new frame of mind. Chained to a bed, at the mercy of two gorgeous witches, Zev quickly learns more about his desires and himself than he ever knew. Can Zev accept what he learns about himself and move on with his life? And will he act on his attraction to the wood sprite that is being held captive by the same witches?

I love Kate Douglas’ characters. They are all richly detailed, and surprisingly real. This story was a fun read for me, and I giggled at the predicament that Zev ended up in. I also loved the premise that we really don’t know what our heart’s desire is until we achieve it.

Fern is a wood sprite, but has always felt a bit different. Essentially sexless, she nonetheless has “feelings” and when she meets Zev, she wants more.

If there is a message here, it would be to be careful what you wish for. I recommend this for those who want a magical romance with special twists and surprises.
