It will take a Christmas miracle to melt her heart.

Resort developer Madison Lane is about to lose the one thing she loves most in the world—her job. Dubbed “The Grinch Who Killed Christmas,” Madison spoiled a deal that would turn quaint Christmas, Colorado, into a tourist’s winter wonderland. Now the citizens want her fired but the company gives her one last chance, sending Madison to the small town to restore the holiday cheer.

For Sheriff Gage McBride, no hotshot executive from New York City is going to destroy the dreams of the people he loves. But one look at this beautiful woman and it’s his heart that may be broken. In just a few days, Madison causes more trouble than he’s had to deal with all year. He can’t decide if she’s naughty or nice, but one thing is for certain—Christmas will never be the same again…

She doesn’t do pie-in-the-sky projects and there must be sustaining revenue right up front. Developing the small town of Christmas is not cost-effective and she vetoes the idea. Her boss sends her to the town to explain why. She worried about leaving his nephew behind since he is trying to take her job away from her. She should have worried more about the residents of Christmas…

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m very impressed by her character development, sense of humor and plotting. This story makes sense and has a cute romance between Madison and the sheriff intertwined with the nephew’s plan to own the town.

If you enjoy tough old women and silly old men, this is a story for you. Madison comes into town driving a rental rig on ice, tries to avoid hitting a deer and manages to knock over their big Santa sign welcoming people to town. They’ve already named her the “Grinch Who Killed Christmas” and now she’s telling them she killed Santa because she was trying to avoid hitting Rudolph. With humor like this, how can you not laugh?

The story is filled with ridiculous plots and an extended stay for Madison in this small town she hates. The longer she stays, the more the people touch her heart. The nephew may have evil intentions, but she doesn’t.

If you’ve ever worked on a big project, it’s not unusual for the people who are opposed to change their minds about midway through the discussion. Sometimes the presenter does the same thing. The author uses that concept to take those who hated Madison from the beginning and changing them into becoming her supporters. The ending is particularly gratifying.

Ms. Mason wraps this book up as if it were a very prettily wrapped package. Why not open the pages and have a Christmas present early?

Sam and Bob are back, but this time Mikhail is the one who’s falling in love. I really love the way these stories are put together, and I recommend this series be read in order. I enjoy the way that it still predominantly features Sam and Bob from the first book but also focuses on secondary characters from previous books and allow their story to be told.

I loved Mikhail from the moment I met him the first time, he’s a unique mix of supernatural creatures but is always taking care of his friends. Jin won me over from the moment he appeared, he was full of action and definite passion for Mikhail.

This case was very interesting. It has an old style detective novel feel with a sci/fi paranormal twist. I enjoyed getting to discover a new aspect of this rich paranormal world. I highly recommend this story, and all its predecessors.

A Charm of Magpies, Book 1

Exiled to China for twenty years, Lucien Vaudrey never planned to return to England. But with the mysterious deaths of his father and brother, it seems the new Lord Crane has inherited an earldom. He’s also inherited his family’s enemies. He needs magical assistance, fast. He doesn’t expect it to turn up angry.

Magician Stephen Day has good reason to hate Crane’s family. Unfortunately, it’s his job to deal with supernatural threats. Besides, the earl is unlike any aristocrat he’s ever met, with the tattoos, the attitude…and the way Crane seems determined to get him into bed. That’s definitely unusual.

Soon Stephen is falling hard for the worst possible man, at the worst possible time. But Crane’s dangerous appeal isn’t the only thing rendering Stephen powerless. Evil pervades the house, a web of plots is closing round Crane, and if Stephen can’t find a way through it—they’re both going to die.

Magic sometimes makes its own choices. Lucien is learning that lesson very well since he’s returned to England to sort out his late father and brother’s affairs. It seems someone wants the entire family dead, Lucien included. Desperate, Lucien employs an unlikely magician, Stephen, who has a long standing grudge against anyone from Lucien’s family. Stephen reluctantly agrees to help Lucien and soon realizes the forces at work are much darker than he realized. The two men must work together to find the answer for Lucien’s recent troubles.

The Magpie Lord is the first book in a new series by author KJ Charles. It’s an incredible tale that drew me in from the very beginning. I literally couldn’t put it down. There is so much going on that I couldn’t help but want to read more, yet I never felt overwhelmed or confused with all the action. The plot itself is amazing. The book is really a mystery and who-dun-it question. The characters are trying to figure out who is trying to kill Lucien (and possibly killed his family) and why. There is no shortage of possible suspects with the black reputation of Lucien’s family, so the journey and answer are very entertaining.

The two main characters of Stephen and Lucien are fully three dimensional and very engaging. The men are unlikely heroes both but seem to fit together in a satisfying way. They have a romance, one that slowly shimmers for the entirety of the book to finally culminate at the end, but the romance is definitely second place to the mystery. I’m very curious to see how these two grow and change both together and separately as time goes on. They’re both charming and wonderful narrators on their own but when they have scenes together, the story just boils with chemistry.

The writing is excellent and this is easily one of the best books I’ve read all year. I know this sounds gushing but I can’t quite help it. The intricacy of the plot is simply amazing, but to add several interesting secondary characters, a scorching main couple, and a historic setting that enthralls makes for an incredible story. I can’t wait to read more books in the series and easily recommend everyone read this one. I think it will appeal to fans across the board and not just historical fans. I tend to prefer contemporary stories and couldn’t get enough of this one.

When the zombie invasion finally came Tim was caught unprepared. Bitten and left for dead he refuses to give in to defeat. Despite all odds he recovers from the disease that is ravaging the world. But what does a man alone, even a man apparently immune, do with a second chance at life in a post apocalyptic world?

This means that on top of the few solutions on the market that have been actually proven to help increase size, girth, and power of an erection over time. getting prescription for viagra Rest assured that all the information you need to return your viagra effects women shipment. Another thing to keep in mind, is that it works viagra in india online in a hormonal way. That infection online order for viagra icks.org leads to inflammation, which is an immune response in the body. How long could you survive injured and on your own in a post-apocalyptic world?

The characterization of Tim is subtle but incredibly rewarding. I never would have guessed that watching him kill zombies is a good way to get to know him, yet I learned the most about his personality, habits, and values by seeing how he reacts in life-threatening situations. It was fascinating to peel back the emotional layers of a quiet, lonely, grieving man who hasn’t so much as caught a glimpse of another human being in a very long time.

The myriad of ways in which living in constant fear and total isolation grind down one’s spirit bleeds through the author’s crisp, economical prose. In a story of this length space is at a premium. The author packs atmosphere and character development into every sentence, and he accomplishes this so unobtrusively that I unwittingly absorbed an incredibly complex understanding of Tim’s backstory as well as a solid mental map of the physical places he visits within a dozen pages.

What surprised me even more was how much I looked forward to further flashbacks. They pop up at precisely the right times and answer the questions I had about how Tim came to survive his initial attack. The idea of anyone being bitten by a zombie and living to tell about it was what initially drew me to this tale. Even though the blurb reassured me that he would survive that injury I was still perched on the edge of my seat for all of the flashbacks that involve that slice of Tim’s life. The tension in them was deliciously unbearable, and the author’s execution of Tim’s initial reaction to the bite was completely appropriate for the character traits the protagonist demonstrates again later on in the plot.

Mr. Felkel left me yearning for more. While all of the loose threads are wrapped up more than satisfactorily, I went to bed last night wondering what happens to Tim after the final scene. I felt like I had said goodbye to a new friend, and I wished there was a way for me to keep in touch with him.

Carrier is a must-read for anyone who loves horror or zombie tales. This is a book I couldn’t put down, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Ian McCain’s always been one cold, hard man, but a sexy little cook is about to melt his heart.

Drake loves his job as a cook at the Mossy Glenn Ranch. He just wishes he wasn’t scared out of his mind. His ex has him convinced he’s never going to be loved again, so he vows to remain alone.

Officer Ian McCain doesn’t play well with others—unless he’s got a whip or paddle in his hand and a sub at his feet. Control is all he’s had for years now, and he doesn’t think he’s capable of having a relationship.

This enables its user to have a decent discount viagra uk erection for several hours. From that moment on, Drake might as well have Ian on a leash too, or at least his heart. Ian breaks down Drake’s walls almost as fast as Drake destroys his.

But their chance for a happy life together is something they’re both going to have to fight for as Drake faces his fears and Ian faces losing everything.

There is nothing as tempting as a man in uniform and Ian is no exception to this rule. Even with Drake’s aversion to new people he still cannot help but find himself drawn to the cagey officer.

Drake is the character I found myself most drawn to. Maybe it is the mother in me that wanted to hold him and try to fix what others have broken. It was clear he was a wounded man that needed someone to help mend his broken spirit. While my mothering may not have worked, Ian’s dominant yet loving hand seems to do the trick quick nicely.

While Drake’s past has created a shy insecure man, Ian’s past has created a man who needs to feel in control of his surroundings and life, that seeps into the bedroom. Ian had to figure out a way at a young age to stand up and protect himself against others including his family. I admire both Ian’s strength as well as his wiliness to help others. He is clearly the silent observant type, which are traits I sometimes wished I possessed.

While this story is part of a series, it is very much a story that can be read alone. I have not read any other the previous stories yet I found myself more than comfortable reading this installment. I can also see that the author wrote the story in a way that allowed those who have read previous stories to stay in touch with other characters they may have come to care for.

While the romantic relationship between Ian and Drake is the standout in the story, there are additional subplots to this that make it entertaining as well. For example, Drake has a problem with an ex that plays a large part in how his and Ian’s relationship develops, as well as some homophobia the two have to encounter.

One thing that really make this story stand out to me compared to others is the health, specifically HIV concerns, throughout this story. I was truly inspired by the authors tactful and informant way of handling such a delicate subject. It really spoke to me in a way that I do not think any other story has ever done previously. The nature in which it was handled just sets this story apart from any other, and I would consider this a must read.

Solomon persuades attorney Catherine Lockhart to take his case, revealing that the true Piatek was abandoned as a child and raised by Solomon’s own family only to betray them during the Nazi occupation. But has Solomon accused the right man?

Once We Were Brothers is a story that stayed with me after I’d read the last word. Although it is the work of fiction, Mr. Balson did such a wonderful job portraying the main character, Ben, that when he begins to tell his story about what happened in Poland leading up to and during World War II, it comes across as real. You get easily caught up in his fight for survival, and like one of the characters, Catherine says, you’re emotionally invested in Ben’s story. In the book, that’s what motivated Catherine to take on Ben’s case against Rosenzweig and for me, the reader, I wanted to see if justice would be served.

There’s also a love story that threads through the tale, that of Ben and Hannah. The dialogue and depth of characterization was spot on for ideal pacing. In fact, I found myself sitting reading for longer stretches of time than I’d intended.

Once We Were Brothers serves to remind us of the heartbreaking horrors of the Holocaust, the human cost of war, and all while telling a fictional story of one man’s experience of the two, and many years later, his determination to seek justice.

Douglas Brightglade needs work. His father was lost at sea five years before the start of this story and his mother has entered a nunnery. Douglas must now make his own way. He decides to answer the sign nailed to the gate of a rickety fence. He enters through the gate and applies for the position of apprentice to the Wizard Flarman Flowerstalk. Once Flarman decides to accept him, Douglas is introduced to a very strange and wonderful household, run by a big, blue teakettle.

Don Callander has written a magical fantasy novel filled with a large variety of interesting and well-developed characters. As Douglas’s education progresses, he learns that there is a war developing. The wizard Frigeon is trying to take over the world and turn it into a wasteland. Those on the side of good must fight and must win, according to Flarman. “We can never entirely destroy evil. The best we can do is expect it, face it squarely, and fight it. To do otherwise is to let the Dark and Frigeon win, don’t you see? Well, we will win!”

There are so many wonderful characters in this story that it is hard to pick favorites, but the bronze owl is not only magical, but very smart and witty as well. There are also fairies and dwarves and various other species and each is described in rich detail as are their homes so that I really felt as if I were in the middle of this world.

The action is fast and well-paced. I found that the pages just flew by and I had a very hard time putting the book down. The suspense grows as Douglas and Flarman have to complete their traps for Frigeon, and time is running out. I enjoyed my trip through the various locations in this world, whether it was the dwarves’ caves or the undersea world of the Sea Fire. And all through the various events there was the underlying mystery of whether or not a way could be found to defeat Frigeon, and once the plan was conceived, was there enough time to carry it out.

Lovers of fantasy set in magical worlds are sure to enjoy Pyromancer, and I for one have already picked up the two other books in this series because Douglas’s adventures are definitely not to be missed.

Once upon a time, Christmas was Kayla Green’s favorite time of year. Now all the workaholic wants for Christmas is for it to be over—as fast as possible! So when duty calls her to snowy Vermont to close a deal with a new client, Kayla is grateful for an excuse to avoid the holidays for another year.

Jackson O’Neil left a thriving business behind to return home and salvage his family’s resort—it’s in his blood, and he can’t let it fail. Now that he’s got marketing whiz Kayla Green working with him to put Snow Crystal on the map, success is on the horizon. The fact they strike enough sparks off each other to power all the Christmas lights in Vermont is just an added bonus.

Kayla might be an expert at her job, but she’s out of her depth with Jackson—he makes her crave the happy-ever-after she once dreamed of, and it’s terrifying. As the snowflakes continue to swirl, will the woman who doesn’t believe in the magic of Christmas finally fall under its spell?

Sleigh Bells in the Snow is a heartwarming, feel good, totally romantic story filled to the brim with wonder and holiday magic. I’d just finished reading a less than stellar book and picked up this one by Ms. Morgan in the hopes it would be better. I’m sure other readers know what I’m talking about. The amazing thing is, Sleigh Bells in the Snow was better. In fact it erased completely the screech marks left in my brain from the last book and replaced it with joy, relief, intense interest, complete engagement with the characters and a warm, gooey happy feeling by the end. I was so overcome with happiness and satisfaction, I wanted to hug the book. Since I’d look pretty goofy doing that, I had a celebratory chocolate instead.
Before you come to India, you’ll be advised with respect to the procedure and what and how you’ll tell cialis sildenafil someone about your breast cancer. Cultural and religious senses aside, it is clinically recognized that masturbation is a normal and healthy part of life – but once we http://djpaulkom.tv/category/news/page/7/ cheapest viagra get there we generally expect good health care that will see us leaving hospital on the mend. Emotional trauma caused due to loss of close relatives and even the best half buy canada viagra creates loneliness. To cater to the rising demand in stock order levitra for this anti-impotency pill.
The basic premise is about a woman scarred by events in her past which has the undesired effect of making Christmas and anything to do with it such an anathema, she has panic attacks. Enter in a man from a family who embodies what the holiday’s meaning is all about and chaos ensues. The scenario has been done before but Ms. Morgan introduces her own special touch that makes this plot her own. The one thing that I can count of from this author is a tale filled with people who a reader can relate to, feel connection with and can care for. She outdid herself with this novel.

The story is told from both Kayla’s point of view, and Jackson’s. It was effective because when she has her first major breakdown, I could understand why it was so harrowing and traumatic for her. When the POV switched to Jackson, I got to see a man totally flummoxed by the heroine’s reaction and his internal dialogue revealed why he would not allow her to run. It was a set up that guaranteed my attention and curiosity was roused. I had to know how in the world Jackson was going to break through Kayla’s trust issues in order to reach her heart. It’s a journey worth reading.

Don’t assume that Kayla’s panic attacks turn her into a jabbering mass of female. Far from it. She’s an ice maiden and her choice of coping skills has worked in her favor – to a point. If a reader has been fortunate enough to see the movie Baby Boom with Diane Keaton, and love it like I do, then they’ll see some resemblance to Ms. Keaton’s character. The difference is that this high powered, tiger in business doesn’t get sidelined by a baby, but a cute, chocolate-eyed little puppy. The ‘awww’ factor is quite solid.

The romance isn’t built on physical loving but on words, actions and wondrous scenery. Jackson has tremendous patience with the heroine. The story explains why that is possible. Readers are in for some scenes of romance that will knock their socks off. The waterfall scene was my favorite. The way he proposed truly tugged the heartstrings. If Hallmark were looking to make a Christmas holiday movie, I really wish they’d choose Sleigh Bells in the Snow. The story explores all the emotions and made me laugh, sniffle, smile, melt, and when Kayla and Jackson do succumb to their powerful feelings, I felt hot and flustered, in a good way, too.

Another reason for my believing this would make a good movie is Jackson’s family and the community in which the story takes place. This is the first book of a three part trilogy based on following Jackson and his brothers finding their happy ever afters. The author had the daunting task of not only world building but creating interest in his other two brothers, Tyler and Sean, without diluting the focus from Kayla and Jackson’s romance. The author succeeded. Ms. Morgan wrote a very solid standalone story.

This book is rich in dialogue and quirky people. I got a kick out of the French cook and the family friend who teaches skiing. Sniffles were generated at the powerful scene between Tyler and his teenaged daughter. Concern and grudging respect was felt for Jackson’s grandfather – he’s a crotchety old man with a heart of gold. And Kayla’s boss is a man totally clueless about what really matters in life. His character, although limited on screen time, helped illustrate very clearly the woman Kayla initially was and how different she came to be – effective and powerful writing.

I was extremely satisfied with the manner, pace and direction the author took with Jackson and Kayla’s romance. The emotions that battered the two of them, their reactions and subsequent results made for quality reading.

Sleigh Bells in the Snow is a powerful read. It’s a simple statement for not such a simple book.  Ms. Morgan has created the ‘must read’ romance book for the holidays. She captured the essence of what makes the season so incredible while entertaining readers with her characters. This tale has the capacity of garnering Ms. Morgan some new fans for her books while making her current readers very happy and satisfied. I know I am. I also heartily and loudly encourage fans of holiday romances to not miss out on this book. It’s a treasure.

She is told to take a dangerous journey to prove herself worthy of inheriting the power of the Nexus.

Anne Logston has written an exciting, fast-paced story about a young woman’s journey to find her true destiny. Neve is a complex character, a bit spoiled, definitely stubborn, courageous, but at times terrified, and I really liked her. She is totally unaware of regular human life, and so it is easy for her to be taken advantage of, but she learns fast. She meets a young sailor named Ash who is as different from the normal humans as she is and together they work to conquer a series of trials.

The settings for this story are richly drawn in complete detail so I really felt as if I were in the middle of the action, dodging blows, fighting my way through jungles, sailing through storms, and trying to manage magic. I enjoyed the relationship between Neve and Ash as they each tried to figure the other out. Both of them are different and both have had to learn to cope with their differences. It was wonderful to see how their friendship and trust develops through their many trials and tribulations.

This is a very exciting book with a number of twists and turns in the plot which keeps the suspense building until the very end. I found that I was unable to put the book down and I read it in one sitting. I think fantasy readers will find Exile to be an excellent choice for a thoughtful and at the same time rivetingly exciting adventure. I look forward to reading more works by this author.

Alda Yuan has centered her story around Kyra, the Immortal Warrior, who returns to Albion after a three hundred year absence, only to discover that her home town has been burned to the ground by the Black Knight. She meets a young Arthur just as he is setting out to select companions and right the injustices which are rampant in Albion because the throne has remained empty since the last king’s death.

Yuan has focused her story on Arthur’s early career as he finds his companions and realizes that he is the dead king’s heir. But Kyra is the main character, not Arthur, which works very powerfully to keep the story from being trapped in the Arthurian legend. And as Kyra gets to know Arthur and his companions, she tells them stories, setting the record straight, about dragons and giants and even the legendary Grendel. These stories add real depth to Kyra’s character and also provide a greater scope to the novel.

The story is fresh and original, giving life to some of the legends surrounding Arthur without trampling them or twisting them out of recognition. The characters are well-developed and fully realized. I liked the way Yuan treated the non-human characters, such as Pete, a fey, and Meredyd, the dragon. She also has a number of very strong female characters taking on non-traditional roles.

The plot is fast moving and exciting, providing a number of unexpected twists and turns in the action. The settings are described in great detail, so that I really felt as if I were right there in the thick of things with Kyra and her friends. I started reading this book right after lunch and I never stopped until I reached the end, much to the dismay of my fur friends. I just couldn’t put it down.

Readers of fantasy, especially historical fantasy, are sure to find The Black Knight to be a very enjoyable and surprising book. I hope that there are many more adventures for Kyra, as I certainly look forward to reading them.
