Kai is one of her close friends and lovers. He is also Akua, a shark shape shifter. As an Akua, he is immune to Enlora’s enchanting voice, but that does not stop him from wanting her. Enlora lives on Gypsy Cay, an island inhabited mostly by paranormals, but the humans come from the mainland at night, to live the dangerous life at the bars. At first glance, I thought that this book would be more about the killer that Damon wants to catch, but that part of the book took up so little space. It was mentioned in the beginning, when Enlora met Damon, and then when the man was lured to the island, the meeting did not take up much more than a couple of pages. Damon got his killer and that was that, although the descriptions of the meeting were, as expected, very detailed. This book was more about Enlora, Kai and Damon.

Syren Song is steeped in realistic dialogue, flowing descriptions and some of the most erotic sex you can read. So, if you enjoy the above mentioned, then I am sure that this book is just what you are looking for.
