The 300 pararescue jumpers (PJs) in the world are the most elite force in the U.S. military, trained in high-risk rescue, and have never been featured in a romantic suspense series.

PJ Wade Rocha is fast roping from a helicopter into a blizzard to rescue stranded climbers when he meets beautiful Sunny Foster, who insists she can take care of herself just fine. As the snowstorm kicks into overdrive, she and Wade must take to the frozen wilderness in a race against time…and their own explosive passions.

Ever have one of those books you just couldn’t put down, even when you had to go to sleep because you had work the next morning? Cover Me, by Catherine Mann, is one of those books. I couldn’t put it down if I wanted to, and trust me, I didn’t want to.

I’ve loved Catherine Mann’s books since her Ops series. This book measures right up there with those. The writing flows and kept my attention. Heck, I wasn’t even sure what time it was when I finally did close the book. The scenes are vivid and the characters unforgettable. I don’t know a whole lot about paratroopers and pararescue techs but in the case of this book, it wasn’t a huge deal. It was really like I was there on the Aleutian Islands, tromping through the snow with Brick and Sunny.

Let’s talk about the characters. Sunny is more than a little hard-headed, but she’s realistic. I liked that she wasn’t about to take guff from Brick. cheap professional viagra On the other hand, if erection is prolonged far longer, it is best to consult a doctor soon. Then there’s Brick. He’s just as stubborn, but again, it’s believable. I rooted for him because I wanted to see him melt a little. And I liked how they melted together. Phew.

There’s a ton of plot twists and things I didn’t see coming in this book. Bodies in the snow? Check. Scorching snuggle time between the hero and heroine for the sake of keeping warm? Check. A baddie that’s all bad and it’s so much fun? You guessed it. Check.

If you want a book that’s got a little mystery, a little action, lots of snow, and lots of heat, then you need to snag a copy of Cover Me. It’s a great read.

It has been prophesied that four men, raised as brothers, will bring Scotland back to her rightful glory. It is time for the second to take up his sword.

When a Highland warrior fights, he fights for honor. And when Reeve MacAlpin sees a beautiful stranger surrounded by bandits, he does not hesitate to do the honorable thing and dispatch her would-be assailants. But at her first grateful touch, his instinct to keep her safe is surpassed by a longing to keep her close . . . and to fulfill her every desire.

For as long as Tara can remember, she has lost the people she loves most—a curse that is sure to doom anyone who shows her kindness. She can never love without bringing death—and though her powerful Highlander champion tempts her beyond imagining, she fears that to give herself to him means his downfall. And yet she knows she must tempt Fate . . . for to resist him would be just as unthinkable.

Unselfish love—a gift from the heart–is all that can take away the curse that was placed on Tara many years ago.

Raven-haired, lavender eyed Tara, known as the “death bride” seeks a safe haven to live her life in solitude where she will bring hurt to no one. While traveling she is beset by robbers. She stands her ground ready to accept her fate THEN the alpha-male Reeve MacAlpin comes.

A warrior, tall, lean, muscular, Reeve wields his lethal sword with exquisite grace and unerring accuracy. He takes Tara to the MacAlpin clan where there is no living in solitude. As she promised, she gives Reeve her money (almost all of it) which was “a bride’s price”, a virtual fortune. Why does our hair drop out? She guards against love because death comes to those who get too close to her. She cares for the people of the clan and tries to hold herself apart from them so they will not die, yet she lives in fear of what might happen to them.

The MacAlpin clan’s mission is to see the rightful King of Scotland back on the throne. Reeve and his three chosen brothers, all mighty warriors, take note of the increased presence of the corrupt King Kenneth’s soldiers in their area. They sense the time draws near for action, yet realize there is something unusual about the often undisciplined actions of the soldiers. What finally comes to light sifts action into high gear for more than one reason. Tara’s old life intrudes making twists and turns in the plot that keep the reader turning pages.

The Picts, a unique people of mystery whom many fear, bring their skills to help the MacAlpins when they bring one of the brothers home who was seriously wounded by the soldiers. Their help and wisdom not only helps the fight against the enemy but also shows the way for Reeve and Tara as they, finally, with trust and honesty, reach out for love with courage..

Donna Fletcher is a fantastic story teller. She weaves history, superstition, customs of the time and the people, humor, and love into Loved by a Warrior. She shows Reeve with a sense of humor when he says “I’m always right”, but she also reveals that his unwavering efforts and good judgment proves the statement is true more often than not. He never loses sight of his goals.. Ms. Fletcher weaves in some poignant truths like “trust and honesty” are needed for a good marriage and advise to live with “courage not fear”. Her non-obtrusive writing style slips readers into that unique time in Scotland and lets them share a memorable vicarious experience with the characters. The remarkable love that is willing to give all makes Loved by a Warrior special.

From the Design Book of Marcelline Noirot:

The allure of the perfect gown should be twofold:
ladies would die to wear it . . .
and gentlemen would kill to remove it!

Brilliant and ambitious dressmaker Marcelline Noirot is London’s rising star. And who better to benefit from her talent than the worst-dressed lady in the ton, the Duke of Clevedon’s intended bride? Winning the future duchess’s patronage means prestige and fortune for Marcelline and her sisters. To get to the lady, though, Marcelline must win over Clevedon, whose standards are as high as his morals are . . . not.

The prize seems well worth the risk—but this time Marcelline’s met her match. Clevedon can design a seduction as irresistible as her dresses; and what begins as a flicker of desire between two of the most passionately stubborn charmers in London soon ignites into a delicious inferno . . . and a blazing scandal.

And now both their futures hang by an exquisite thread of silk . . .

A breath-holding air of expectancy ripples through Silk is for Seduction. Like the subtle whisper of silk brushing against a trouser leg, the hum of sexual tension charges the atmosphere around Marcelline Noirot and the Duke of Clevedon.

The Duke, known as a seducer of only the crème de la crème of aristocratic beauties, gets blindsided by “of all things” a dressmaker, albeit a dressmaker that turns heads and snarls traffic during Passion Week in Paris. Jaded and knowing he must return to England and take up his responsibilities as Duke, Clevedon finds he is fascinated by the plain-spoken, beautiful, gambling businesswoman who is in Paris to promote her dress shop in London, even though she is the most aggravating woman he has ever met.

The Noirot sisters: Marcelline, Leonie, and Sophy as well as six-year-old Lucie are born manipulators and hone that talent regularly. Sophy does public relations and writes enticing advertising, while Marcelline designs out-of-this-world clothing for ladies and brings in business in a most unique manner.

Marcelline’s primary mission in Paris is to snare the Duke’s attention so he will want the Noirot Shop to dress his duchess—supposedly Lady Clara Warford who has waited patiently in England while Clevedon sowed his wild oats all over the continent. He has bedded the “best” but finds Marcelline’s grace, beauty, and style unforgettable. She is a tempestuous masterpiece who tells him upfront her intent is mercenary. She runs a business to support her family and has no designs on him other than to lighten his pocketbook as he pays for his duchess’s style-setting attire from the Noirot Shop. She even tells him that he has no purpose in life. He just drifts along looking for entertainment. Yet, in her heart she feels he is not a “mean-spirited” man.

The stir and magic they create, the delightful humor, and the guessing of who is “outfoxing” whom swirls the reader along through the pitfalls of Paris and London Society, churns up the stomach with a savage sea storm, and makes adrenaline pump with a thief and a fire. However, the bond that forms and binds Marcelline and the Duke is the centerpiece of the story. There is nothing boring about these two special people that ultimately unleash the best in each other.

The secondary characters function for the most part to highlight the hero and heroine. However, the indomitable little Lucie, aka Erroll, wraps everyone around her little finger, more especially the Duke of Clevedon. She brings out the very best in him and awakens true feelings that had be crammed deep down ever since the death of his mother and sister. Lucie is indeed a little minx—a chip off the old block. With her beautiful blue eyes, she charms in such a manner that she just might be a princess.

Loretta Chases descriptions, metaphors, and characterizations make the story sparkle and her love scenes are earth-shattering. I invite you to read and see how silk seduces–exciting.

A warrior, a demon, and the girl next door… Looking For Trouble

Addy Corwin is a florist with an attitude. A bad attitude, or so her mama says, ‘cause she’s not looking for a man. Mama’s wrong. Addy has looked. There’s just not much to choose from in Hannah, her small Alabama hometown. Until Brand Dalvahni shows up, a supernaturally sexy, breathtakingly well-built hunk of a warrior from—well, not from around here, that’s for sure. Mama thinks he might be European or maybe even a Yankee. Brand says he’s from another dimension.

Addy couldn’t care less where he’s from. He’s gorgeous. Serious muscles. Disturbing green eyes. Brand really gets her going. Too bad he’s a whack job. Says he’s come to rescue her from a demon. Puh-lease. But right after Brand shows up, strange things start to happen. Dogs talk and reanimated corpses stalk the quite streets of Hannah. Her mortal enemy Meredith, otherwise known as the Death Starr, breaks out in a severe and inexplicable case of butt boils. Addy might not know what’s going on, but she definitely wants a certain sexy demon hunter by her side when it all goes down…

She was just trying to retrieve her run away dog; she didn’t intend to run into a demon and a ten thousand year old Dalvahni warrior!

This author writes a paranormal romance novel that is outstanding. She creates Addy, a southern girl that knows all the rules for proper behavior and has a mother that thinks she should get married. generic levitra from canada One can experience a total inability to achieve an erection or one who cannot sustain an erection for long. That is why the generic medicine has been invented by a British scientist and marketed by the viagra 50mg canada US based company Pfizer. Ms. George’s style reads a bit like Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum. Addy is an independent lady who says outrageous things and made me laugh out loud while reading it. There are more synonyms for penis in this book than I have ever seen elsewhere. And when the wife and the mistress have a fight at the funeral of a horny old man, the action is just getting started.

There are two warriors, a lot more demons, and characters with unusual abilities to know when company is coming or seeing demons and fairies. Ms. George makes her warriors godlike in both abilities and looks, and Addy and her friend Evie find themselves loving them and wanting them. Oh, there’s a talking dog, too, as well as a cat fairy.

The action is hot and heavy, both in the bedroom and while fighting demons. The conversations are unforgettable. Addy’s warrior, Brand, always answers questions literally, which is not a good thing when he’s visiting with her mother…

This book grabbed me in the first few pages, and I didn’t want to set it down. There is so much action, so many silly doings, great warrior action and rampant sex. It’s all great fun. I mean, after all, how many times does the lead female character get to give her sworn mortal enemy pimples on her butt?

If you enjoy silly madcap humor and a good love story, this book is for you. I just wish one of these warriors would show up and fall in love with me.

Also, I smell another story coming. Evie’s love interest has gone back to his world and his work and won’t be a weakened patsy like Brand, but he seems to be feeling lonely. I’d love to go visit these characters one more time. Can’t wait.

Enter the unforgettable world of Amelia Grey’s sparkling Regency London, where a single encounter may have devastating consequences for a gentleman and a lady…

The words funny and charming, sensual and compelling could describe this story. Amelia Grey has created characters with depth who interact in entertaining ways. A Gentleman Never Tells is a delightful Regency-era romance.

Gabrielle, a once obedient Duke’s daughter, sees something that drags her from her proper ways. She does a shocking thing in a park, starting the novel off with a surprise. The reckless thing she does changes the life of an innocent man, a Viscount.

Don’t feel bad for the Viscount though, great guy that he is, even though trouble follows him around since meeting Gabrielle. After his encounter with her, his heart is never the same.

Witty dialogue and humorous dog adventures give this book a slightly funny tone under the romantic one. Secondary characters add an interesting touch to the story. Some are truly unlikeable characters who fortunately didn’t have too much space on the pages, like Gabrielle’s completely selfish, self-absorbed sister Rosa. What a wretched person.

The main character though, the Viscount, is so thoroughly likeable that he’s perfect for the warm-hearted Gabrielle. They are great together, despite the things that she does.

Marriage, infidelity, and sisterly relationships come into play, their themes adding meaning and perspective. Wonderful sensual moments are weaved throughout the story and are just perfect.

As likeable as Gabrielle is, at times, she is a bit hypocritical, like when she uses her antics (which are admittedly humorous) to dissuade the Viscount from wanting her and yet she always seems to be looking her best. She thinks he doesn’t want to marry her and is being forced to. However, he is constantly warm toward her and wants to kiss her. Are those the actions of a man who feels trapped?

Despite this, the book is delightful. The ending is charming and unforgettable. Amelia Grey can write a great tale. Regency fans should check this one out.

He opened his home. She stole his heart…and his money.

Many would envy veterinarian Russ Gray’s life in rural Montana’s wide-open spaces. Russ calls it lonely. In a country with more cattle than eligible females, he doesn’t envision his seven years as a widower ending anytime soon. Until a mysterious woman lands at his door in the dead of night, riddled with buckshot.

Sarah Novak hates lying to such a kind, handsome man, but if an upstanding citizen like Russ finds out why she’s been three weeks on the run, he’d surely turn her in. Yet she can’t refuse his offer to let her stay until she heals, no questions asked.

From the start they fall into an easy companionship, then teasing flirtation flares into an unexpected intimate connection. But no matter how right it feels in his arms, guilt tugs at Sarah’s heart. Russ doesn’t deserve what she must do next.

When Russ wakes up with an empty bed—and an empty wallet—his first instinct isn’t to call the cops…it’s to catch her and find out why his urge to protect her overshadows all reason. Because he’s had a taste of real passion, and he’s not letting it slip away without a fight.

On the run from a crime of self-defense, Sarah Novak arrives in the dead of night at Russ Gray’s remote Montana property, riddled with buckshot and short on answers. Despite his misgivings, the kind, hunky vet treats her wounds and allows to let her stay until she heals. But will the attraction that flares between them be enough to allow trust to build? Russ hopes so, but when he awakens to find “Nicole” and his money gone, anger drives his emotions.

Sarah has been on the run from her home in Buffalo for three weeks—a harrowing time when she’s hitchhiked, been threatened at knifepoint and shot at by a rancher. Russ wants answers but won’t push her, and “Nicole” hates lying to this good man, but she has to save herself. After three days of passionate lovemaking initiated by “Nicole”, she steals away with a gold watch and some money.

Ms. Maguire has crafted a strong story with truly likable characters, and she has a knack for plumbing the depths of their souls. I’m not a fan of gratuitous sex, but the sex scenes in Trespass were appropriate to the characters and the story, and if you like them spicy, then this is the book for you!

Russ has been a widower seven years, and he’s lonely but never expected to find a woman in the remote Montana ranch country. Yet the attraction between them sizzles, and Sarah, who has escaped from a bad environment and a bad childhood, recognizes the decency in Russ. She wants to stay for as long as he will have her.

I felt both Sarah’s and Russ’ motivations were in keeping with their characters. Ms. Maguire did an excellent job of reeling me in and keeping me interested in the outcome.

They can get into each other’s heads (oh, that’s just great! It makes for some interesting moments, for sure) and their dreams are intense, waking them both up in a cold sweat.

Echoes Of Darkness is a breath of fresh air in the saturated paranormal genre. It’s a mix of gods and goddesses, clairvoyants, demons, and so much more. The author does an excellent job in the world building, and her characters are memorable and exciting. I found Fallon’s speaking to be a little puzzling and confusing at times, because of course he’s from Scotland 500 years ago, but it didn’t tear me away from the story too much. Overall, Echoes of Darkness is enjoyable, adventurous, and witty.

If you enjoy a new spin on paranormal romances, I’d highly advise you not to miss Echoes of Darkness. Get swept away in it’s powerful and fun story line, and hold on tight: you’re in for a wild ride.

Tell knew the moment he saw her that she was the one. He offered Rags eternal love, children and a seat in his hammock. It was a match made in heaven. How could she say no?

Even though things should have been perfect, each took wrong turns. Rags and Tell found themselves on a one-way street traveling the wrong direction. Their marriage collapsed in a sea of accusations and disappointment.

Years later, they meet again, their memories as fresh as if it were yesterday. Instant physical attraction and emotional connection blindside them, leading them back to that perfect place.

Marriage in the best of times is hard work, but marriage in the worst of times is often doomed, when the couple forgets about the love they shared, the promises they made or the ones they broke. But what if that couple has never quite gotten over each other, what happens when circumstances arise that put that to the test, well that’s exactly what happens to Tell and Rags Maguire it may work out this time if only they can forget that it was “Because of Joe”.

Ms. Flaherty has an amazing way of telling a story, a way that will keep her readers constantly turning pages no matter what else they have on their plates. Take it from me who delayed dinner by more than an hour just so I could finish the novel. And using the pharmacy drive-thru lane is certainly free samples of cialis no guarantee of anonymity either. He may viagra online pharmacy also feel low and depressed because of this issue. After all, why not? If you take your daily eating plan more seriously you are making a big generic viagra canadian good change to stop your ED. She gives us a poignant story line, one that will reach into the hearts of a myriad of fans and is my very favorite kind of romance, that of second chances, she puts in the way of that romance many real life situations that cause our couple stress and problems. She gives us this novel with a dialogue that flows from page to chapter all throughout the novel, she uses the etiquette filled narrative that we associate with the south and brings to mind just a hint of “Driving Miss Daisy” and she does it in a scant 154 pages.

More, her characters are superb, they all shine, especially her hero Tell and heroine Rags who are characters that women of a certain age (like me) can really relate to. They also shine because Ms. Flaherty knows how to build and develop her characters so they become three dimensional friends to her audience.

The romance is one of the most touching I have read, where the characters’ hearts are on their sleeves for the readers to see and experience, where we’re helpless to do anything but yearn and cry and laugh with this very enigmatic couple as they try for a Happy Ever After part two. The love scenes are very special, they’re no less intense of those very carnal in content, and the heat level is right up there but the tenderness and the familiarity of this couple can be felt at every touch and thought and the author is a master of letting her readers feel the passion between this man and woman.

No matter what kind of romance reader you are this one will appeal to you because it’s got everything that a romance addict needs for their specific “fix”. If you, like me, are an older reader and prefer your characters a little longer in the tooth, you’ll love this, if you love the second chance romance, you’ll love this, if you love the kind of couples who flail around after that all elusive HEA, you’ll love this. Oh heck, if you love any kind of romance, you’ll love this.
