Cursed by a Druid millennia ago, Roan lives a bleak existence in the Shadowlands, desperately trying to retain his soul and not succumb to the goblin horde. When a beautiful human summons him to grant a wish, he sees a glimmer of hope. But will she ever agree to be his queen?

Eliza had wished the Goblin King into her life during her teenage years and she knew she could summon him again. But did she want to?

Ms. Husk has created a fantasy tale of goblins and evil in this world and in the shadow world that feels real. She describes the goblin’s dwellings and explains the curse the Goblin King faces in descriptive, colorful text. Her characters are strong, but fighting a curse is a tough job.

Eliza finds herself in a real unfortunate situation. The man she’s engaged to is abusive and has been stealing her blind. The worst part is that her signature is on all of it. She trusted him once but not anymore.

Roan is the Goblin King who lusts for Eliza and wants her as his queen. But he can’t ask a contemporary woman to leave her world behind and join him in his world. He has hope it will remove the curse on him and he can once more be a Celtic man instead of a goblin.

It was fun to watch the author make her character, Eliza, take back her life. Eventually she asks the Goblin King for help. Roan shows her how he really looks as a goblin and asks her to be his queen. Could you sleep with a monster?

Ms. Husk doesn’t make this a formula fairy tale. These two main characters have some real challenges and nothing works out exactly like they hoped. I got to rooting for the Goblin King and his last surviving brother to be saved.

Why not get a copy of this book for yourself and see exactly how the battle was fought and how the story ends. It’s a very good read for those who enjoy fantasy novels with romance and love involved. It’s also a good story for anyone who likes reading an action packed fight to the death between two enemies. Try it, you’ll like it.

It’s Terminator meets My Fair Lady in this fascinating debut of black magic and brilliant ball gowns, martial arts, and mysticism.

England, 1888. The trees are green, the birds are singing, and no one has any idea that in a few hundred years, demons will destroy it all. Joan plans to keep it that way. All she has to do is take out the dark magician responsible—before he summons the demons in the first place. But as a rough-around-the-edges assassin from that bleak future, she’ll have to learn how to fit into polite Victorian society to get close to her target.

Simon Grenville has his own reasons for wanting to destroy Alex Reynell. The man used to be his best friend—until his practice of the dark arts almost killed Simon’s sister. The beautiful half-naked stranger Simon meets in the woods may be the perfect instrument for his revenge. It will just take a little time to teach her the necessary etiquette and assemble a proper wardrobe. But as each day passes, Simon is less sure he wants Joan anywhere near Reynell. Because no spell in the world will save his future if she isn’t in it.

Hearing this book called The Terminator crossed with My Fair Lady got my attention. This book certainly lives up to that claim, making it quite interesting and unique.

Joan is a great character, tragic, due to the hellish world she comes from and what she¹s gone through; still she lives to help others. So here we have this badass chick going back to Victorian England on a mission to save the future.

Now, imagine what happens when she sees that world. I loved the scene when she is being dressed and fitted in heavy Victorian clothes. prescription levitra This is due to the pressure that pulls the blood towards the male organ that gives live for better erection. Had to smile at that one.

Simon, a hunky Victorian man, proves to be heroic as well, and is quite a good match for Joan. But when he first sees her with her weapons and smeared with blood, he finds her strange, of course, and can’t evaluate her level of beauty, as her appearance is so wildly foreign to him.

It’s interesting to watch as she discovers the Victorian world. She exposes the hypocrisy of the past. The spiritualist activities that occur add allure to this story, too.

Intriguing questions are peppered throughout the story; things to think about. There are some great lines in this book.

So much is at stake, more than normal. It’s entertaining to read about her futuristic sensibilities set against his Victorian gentlemanly qualities. This creates a great chemistry between the characters and strange situations. She has depth, and he’s impressed with this. Simon is a different kind of hero. He doesn’t want the enemy dead and hopes for the villain’s redemption. Sometimes though, I wondered how he was able to understand Joan’s futuristic vocabulary so easily.

No Proper Lady is a great read with caring, worthy characters. The mix of cultures (past and present) makes for a wonderful story.

When fear and extinction threaten life, the only way to survive is to change…or fight back.

Mona Moussai is on the run—from her family, from a dragon and from herself. She wants nothing more than to stay in the Mortal Realm and live a normal life, yet when she tangles with a shape-shifting attorney bent on her capture, instinct demands she hide. However, the secrets buried deep inside could have deadly consequences.

Braeden Hollister has long ago made peace with his dragon heritage but he refuses to live it. He’s a man with many vices, always living for himself, and when the opportunity to drag Mona to the Moussai Realm for a bounty presents itself, he can’t resist the glitter of gold.

What happens next is a foray into a backward realm circa the 1820s where dragons not only exist but they’re intent on ruling the realm and restoring power. Personal agendas are forgotten, battle lines are drawn in a world where familial ties strangle and old foes resurface. Political angst explodes all around them. In the end, only the strong will survive to live, and love, another day.

It’s time for Mona to make a stand, whether she’s ready to or not.

When I read the blurb for Dragons at Dawn, I was immediately intrigued. I have read Ms. Sookoo’s book Vegetarian at Midnight, so I have encountered Mona and Braeden before. I was surprised that Braeden would be filling the role of hero in this book since my impressions of him from the previous book were less than favorable. Still, I was more than a little curious about what sort of trouble Mona and Braeden would find themselves in, so I eagerly started reading. Note: though it is helpful to have read Vegetarian at Midnight, Dragons at Dawn can be read on its own.

Mona wanted nothing to do with Braeden. However, she found herself bound to him by a dragon ring that she accidentally put on. At first, Braeden’s only interest in Mona was monetary. Her family has offered a substantial reward for her return, and so he and Mona found themselves tramping through the wilderness of Moussai. On their journey, Mona and Braeden bickered constantly. In the beginning, I found this amusing. Personality clashes in a hero and heroine can make for some interesting chemistry. However, Mona and Braeden fought all the time about absolutely everything. Many men viagra online ordering visit rehabilitation centers to quit these habits. Nowadays there are pretty plenty of free viagra 100mg means of impotence pharmaceutical treatment. It was a little hard to take after a while. Every time I thought Mona and Braeden would reach some sort of truce, they’d end up fighting again. This made it hard to get into the book at time, and even harder to hope for a happy ending. Despite this issue, I still wanted to know how Mona and Braeden’s story would end.

Mona showed impressive character growth as the story progressed. When I first starting reading, she was a lost soul with nowhere to call home. She typically ran from her problems or let other people solve them for her. By the end of the story, she had matured considerably. When dark forces threaten to take over Moussai, she digs deep and finds strength she never knew she had. I was glad that I’d been able to watch her blossom into a strong, independent woman.

I had a very hard time warming up to Braeden. He came off as selfish, arrogant, and even mean. Yet, every now and then, Ms. Sookoo gave me glances of Braeden’s soul. Though Braeden wrapped himself in a tough exterior, deep down, he really did have a good heart and was more insecure than he ever let on. I was so relieved when Braeden’s shell started to crack. Though Braeden kept insisting that he wasn’t a hero, I had the feeling he just might surprise everyone, even himself.

I enjoyed reading Dragons at Dawn. Although Mona and Braden travel a rocky road, their happy ending made it all worthwhile. Anyone looking for a paranormal romance with a feisty couple should give Dragons at Dawn a try.

As a pestilence sweeps medieval England, a low-born woman has only the sharpness of her wits—and the courage of her heart…

Edith of Warren Hamlet plays a dangerous game. At the knights’ tourneys across the land, among the lords and ladies, she is a strange foreign princess. But in the privacy of her tent with the other survivors of her village, she is but a smith’s widow with a silver tongue. They are well-fed, but if discovered, the punishment is death. And one knight—fierce, arrogant, and perilously appealing—is becoming far too attentive…

Sir Ranulf of Fredenwyke cares little for tourneys: playing for ladies’ favors, when his own lady is dead; feasting, while commoners starve; “friendly” combat, when he has seen real war. Still, one lady captivates him—mysterious in her veils and silks, intoxicating with her exotic scents and bold glances. Yet something in her eyes reminds him of home…and draws him irresistibly to learn her secrets…

There is pestilence in the land and serfs are dying. Edith’s Lord decides to handle the matter expediently. He herds all the living serfs into the church building, mixing the healthy with the sick, and bars the doors. What does he care if they all die? He can always get more serfs.

It’s easy to see that this author has done some research on this historical era. She emphasizes the difference between good Lords and bad, she shows insight on the character of knights that joust (they are no better than the man they are to begin with), and she shows how hopeless it is to be a serf under a bad Lord.

Ms. Rather than focusing on deeprootsmag.org purchase generic cialis the tasks required, find solutions that allow you to enjoy the joyous time of year instead of becoming mired in chores. free sample cialis This medicinal drug must not be combined with other nitrate medications.Otherwise, it may lead to relationship problems, breakup and divorce in many cases. Townsend gives both of her lead characters strong personalities and a will to survive. Edith attends the tourneys with her friends, impersonating an Eastern princess. She manages to feed them with goods given them by knights who are seeking her attention and her hand. Sir Ranulf is a widower who only attends the jousts to keep his mind from dwelling on his dead wife; he takes no pleasure in it.

I really enjoyed how this author made Edith a spitfire who spars words with Ranulf. He snaps back, often regretting his quick words. In no time at all, the sparks flying between them are not just words, he’s determined to bed her. Of course, she’s determined to bed him, too, so that’s all right. I laughed out loud at the times they got close to “bed” and were interrupted by staff. Seems the best laid plans of mice and men didn’t seem to work out…

Danger is close, pestilence still exists, and Edith’s old Lord is after her adding a tremendous amount of suspense, so the words pass quickly as you read. This was an exciting tale with plenty of plot strings crossing back and forth to keep your interest.

Why not take a trip in time back to medieval England and follow Edith’s adventures? Her life was a trial, but it was going to get better…

It’s only when Alice falls for the handsome Earl Swinton does she realize the dangers of time travel. How can she give her heart to a man from the past while striving to stop Edmund from changing time with his forward thinking ideas?

A trip through time will always leave a footprint, the question is: how big and how destructive to the future will it be? That is a question that Their Royal Highnesses, Edmund and Alice Windsor, will have to answer as they go tripping backwards in time.

Ms. Burkhart gave me a delightful Victorian tale with just a slight fantastical historical twist. This story won’t be found on the pages of a newspaper unless it’s the National Enquirer. Her story lines took me through many plot twists and turns, and time travel and fantasy kept me wondering, guessing and wish to know what was to happens next.

Her characters are enigmatic, eclectic and all worth their weight in gold especially the Royals, Alice and Edmund, whose personalities constantly kept me turning pages. They didn’t lessen my admiration for the other characters in the book, from the ordinary to the sublime. The romance in the first episode in this series is sweet and naughty at the same time. Yet even when naughty it has that Victorian properness to it.

The hero is Earl Grayson Swinton, and he many times comes to the rescue of our heroine, Alice, who’s left to her own devices by her mischievous Cousin Edmund. The love scenes are pretty modern in taste for our very improper couple. They delve into the forbidden fruit of passion with both feet and leave their audience fanning themselves.

This is the perfect romance to read while sitting on a wrap-around porch on the swing sipping a cold lemonade and enjoying the last vestiges of summer. He’s Got A Lot To Learn
Scott Matthews had no idea Ginger Winchester was a teacher when they first met—he didn’t even know her last name. That didn’t stop them from sharing a night of passion. Scott hoped he’d see Ginger again—just not in his daughter’s new classroom! Yet, somewhere under that frumpy sweater and chalk dust is the sultry redhead who’s been haunting his dreams.

Smart, sensitive and nurturing, Ginger is everything Scott wants. But when Ginger discovers she resembles his first wife, she fears stepping in as a replacement mom. She wants a family, but not this way. She’s happy to offer tips on handling rambunctious kids, and even helps the Matthews family adopt a big, lovable puppy. But when it comes to handing over her heart, Scott must prove to her that she’s more than just a stand–in—she’s the one.

A widower and a divorcee come together at different places in their lives and find the pieces of their hearts they hadn’t realized were lost.

Ms. Kelly has written a romance that touched me with its compassion and kindness. The characters have so many things going on in their lives, from the mundane, the tender and sweet, and the pains of dealing with a small community and the small minds within it.

This is a story rich in emotional detail, realistic personal drama and lessons of compromise. Ginger is the heroine who has dealt with her husband leaving her, and has come to grips with her life. She has plans and hopes and instead of waiting for things to happen, she’s taking proactive steps to get what she wants in life. She has a job that sounded rewarding and fun, not to mention tiring. And like every work place, there are lemons and leeches, jealousy and personality clashes and Ginger walked a fine line trying to deal with it all without succumbing to their level. She does a good job, and in fact too good. I wanted the author to have her character tell me what eventually happened to the coach. I wanted her to do something more pointed, but she didn’t. Ginger was too nice to the snide and viscous fellow teacher and I didn’t like that. Sure, the heroine got in a few digs at times during the tale but I really wanted her to be aggressive about it. Then again, if she did, I guess Ginger wouldn’t have been the best role model after all for the hero’s kids. The author knew what she was doing. However, based on a specific scene, I’m pretty sure I know what Ginger thought though, and I agree with her; but I really wanted to know for sure. I don’t like people getting away with doing what that other woman did. Nasty old prune. I almost wish that the heroine didn’t allow that old biddy to have the power over her as I believe she did. Those are the kinds of situations that have me talking to the book while I’m reading it.

Ginger did remain classy and nice and her personality really did compliment the hero, Scott. He’s a man who is trying to shoulder a heavy load. His shoulders are broad but even a man who has it all together loses it in the face of kids, especially his daughters. I really liked how the author had Scott reacting and relating to the Newfie in the family. It was adorable, ripe with humor and it amped up the sweet factor. Another side effect caused by in stock buy cialis is an erection that keeps going more than 4 hours. I liked Scott’s patience but even more, I liked his perseverance. He knew what he wanted and why. He went after Ginger and when he floundered, unlike most men who won’t ask for directions to get to their destination, the hero wasn’t above asking for advice or help in how to get his woman. He gets tripped up however, from his own past hurts and fears. I enjoyed watching him come to grips on what was really important in life. It was awfully scary for him at one point, but he learned from it and that’s what matters most.

The author wrote the book in such a way that I took turns going to work with Scott or Ginger. Even in the normal course of a day, things happened: words got said and revelations were exposed which prompted responses and actions from either the hero or heroine that moved the plot forward.

Secondary characters were numerous but the most important were Ginger’s friends, and Scott’s two little girls, Shelby and Rena. Those kids were the catalyst for much of the good things, the sad things and even the funny moments that occurred between Ginger and Scott. If those two can survive and thrive in spite of it all, then there is a great chance that the happily ever after will be even better the second time around. The author gave me enough information to make me believe it.

The conflict is mostly internal and the story has a character driven plot. There are a few external issues that cause pressure and affect the characters’ actions a bit, but the biggest element is for the hero and heroine to get out of each their own ways. So many preconceived notions, jumped-to conclusions and mistaken interpretations make Ginger and Scott dance around each other as they learn what they need to from the other in order to fall in love. And they do fall in love, but it’s not easy or rosy or smooth. It’s bumpy. Feelings get hurt and dreams have to be altered before they see what is most important. A reader can see that it’s right in front of their faces. The entertainment comes from watching them slowly realize it. There are a lot of different levels of humor too. Some are sensual, some are outright silly and sometimes it was gentle fun which brought a warm smile to my face.

Stand-In Mom is a book with personality. Ms. Kelly crafted a tale about two people that could easily be about anyone in a reader’s community. The author took time to explore the world in which Ginger and Scott lived and used her characters to describe to me all that went on. Although there was a quick burst of passion in the beginning, the tale is basically about two people having to rebuild the road that will lead to those exploding sexual fireworks again. And they did want it, craved it even. This story is sensual, fun yet provoking, and totally satisfying. All my emotions were engaged and my interest kept. It’s a great read.

In the Hay has a delightful hero and heroine that pull at the heartstrings, making the journey one a reader will remember.

A reader meets Nicolette and Drew right at the cross roads of their lives. Neither of them knows what they will both mean to the other but the author set the story up beautifully. The lead characters start things off in a safe manner, laying down the ground rules and expectations. They had one explosive and memorable scene that resulted in quite a few emotional time bombs. Then, one got cold feet. However, fate would not be thwarted; their relationship got a second chance and the heat only piled up from there. Lucky for me.

Ms. Ford has a unique and amusing sense of fun and the ridiculous because she has Nicolette exploring all the things she’d always wanted to do with her life. None of them are harmful but they gave the hero an opportunity he’d never had before – chances to be free, to explore the little boy inside. Both Drew and Nicolette have bowed under the expectations that their families have placed upon them. They have tried and tried to conform and earn their respect, and in this book, the time for change and learning about themselves and what they truly want is upon them. This time, they are going to be true to their inner child and the rest of the world can go fly a kite.

Actually, I think Nicolette would enjoy doing that, as well as on top of the kiddie pool and a bunch of other interesting things. My absolute favorite part in this whole book, when it comes to choosing something off of the heroine’s wish list, is the slip and slide. I adored how the author wrote that scene. It was zany, fun and totally off the wall. And, it was romantic and sweet and made me laugh. In fact that is something I did frequently throughout this story – laugh. And the cutest part about that scene? The hero wanted to do it again.

This book should have reached a higher rating and it was almost there. What held it back were some inconsistencies in the writing. There was a jarring scene of head hopping early on, a cinnamon taste that shouldn’t have been there (it should have been beer), and the missing shoes that were and were not, all at the same time. It was how the scene was written; something was left out. Plus a few misspellings as well as the bouncing between Lette and Nicolette until the author found her stride. I really wish the editor had looked a bit closer because this book deserved better.

One thing that is high quality in this story is the sensual build up. Each scene: every time Drew looked into Nicolette’s eyes, every time she smiled at him and the enthusiasm in which the heroine explored the physical side of their relationship, led them closer and closer to falling in love. He fought it, she embraced it and when they tried to keep it relegated to their earlier arrangement, they both hurt. Ms. Ford had no problems reaching my emotions; she made me care for her characters. I wanted them to be happy but I understood the need to do what they did. It cleared the air for them, made them see clearly for the first time in their lives what they were chasing and what they should have been seeking all along. That revelation and the sweet reunion was pure romance. It made everything that came before worth it.

In the Hay is, hands down, a story worthy of spending time with. Every crazy deed, every smile, and every moment Drew and Nicolette spend in each other’s arms is a moment to treasure. This book totally entertained me and was very uplifting to read. If someone needs cheering up, reading In the Hay is the cure.
