He’s sure he and his pregnant bride are fated to drown when he’s tossed into the sea. He wakes in a strange land and is saved by a blue-haired angel.

Twenty-first-century witch and cat rescuer Luna Halpern has fallen for more than her share of unsuitable guys—including one with a long-distance fiancé, and another who was more interested in other dudes than in Luna. Finally, a safe, drama-free guy is interested in her, and she’s confident that she’ll muster up an attraction to him. When she stumbles upon a handsome, mysterious man who speaks oddly, seems not to know where he is, or even what century it is, her first instinct is to help him.

Certain he’s either stuck in a crazy dream or in limbo between life and death, Colin stays close to Luna. As his feelings for her grow, he’s forced to choose between his obligations in the past and his hopes for the future.

Colin is literally the man of Luna’s dreams!

Luna has had horrible luck with men. Even when she meets a man who should be good for her, it just doesn’t feel right. Then Colin, a man she’s only glimpsed in her dreams, stumbles into her life claiming to be from the past. Luna is skeptical at first, but Cat’s Paw Cover is a magical place and anything is possible. Luna is determined to help Colin, but the more time she spends with him, the less she wants him to leave. I truly felt sorry for the couple. They have good chemistry and clearly have feelings for each other, but Colin is a true gentleman and is determined to return to the past to honor his obligations. As I read, I wondered if Luna’s relationship with Colin was another ill-fated romance or something more?

Colin adjusts to life in the present a bit too quickly in my opinion. Not only does he have to deal with the trauma of the shipwreck, but also the shock of jumping several hundred years into the future. However, I was able to set aside my doubts and put his acceptance of modern living down to the fact that he has an inventor’s soul. Watching him learn about modern conveniences was a lot of fun!

The passages describing the storm on the ship were excellent. “The force of the wind and the rain made it hard to breathe… Lightning ripped apart the clouds overhead. Barrels, broken free from their ropes, rolled across the planks covered by streaming water.” When I finished reading the stormy sections, it was like coming up for air!

A Witch in Time is as sweet and fluffy as the confections Luna bakes in her café. It is a fun, fast paced romance perfect for enjoying on a relaxing afternoon.
