The unshakable mindset and guilt feelings that drive Cameron Shaw’s decisions in The Right Bride create conflicts that threaten to destroy the lives and happiness of the most important people in his life. Through much of the story, I want to give him a good thumping and tell him to get his head out of the sand, wake up, and get his priorities straight. When his actions began to make his vivacious little five-year-old daughter Emma unhappy, I really got out of humor with him. To be so smart in some ways and so “dumb” in other ways was astounding. As is evident, Jennifer Ryan did a super job of engaging my emotions and keeping me turning pages.

Marti (Martina Fairchild) grabbed my attention in a very different way. Her caring, insightful nature; her ability to see and act on what is truly important in life makes her special; while her aloneness touches a tender spot in one’s heart. How she relates to others and copes with difficult situations reveal a multitude of facets in her personality. The layers of her life and her unsung accomplishments that come to light as the story unfolds are more reasons to keep turning pages. She is an intriguing character.

The beautiful, husband-hunting Shelly Ramsey is a different sort, but she knows how to appeal to a man. After an unhappy childhood, she remodeled herself and is now physically lovely, well-spoken, a great sex partner, nice to her ‘prey’ but not always to others. Her single-minded pursuit of wealth and position (AKA a rich husband) stirs up conflicts galore. Her ability to make herself look good in these upheavals is amazing.

The secondary characters are a super group of ‘doers’. They do their share of stirring up conflicts. George Knight is a prime example. Even though he is dying, he makes his mark on the outcome of the story. His love for Cameron and Emma is longstanding. However, the love he feels for Marti is like a kindred soul love that is strong and caring. Elizabeth and Sam, Jenna and Jack, and Jimmy, Cameron’s driver and after-school companion for Emma are genuine friends that support, berate, and do whatever it takes to help their old friend Cameron find his way and to shepherd Marti into the fold and love her for who she is.

The living arrangements in George Knight’s mansion, after his death, seem contrived. But it does position the primary characters for the climax that is a heart-stopper momentarily then sets the emotions jangling. Also, Cameron’s clinging to his past for so long seems a little extreme, but it makes for a breath-holding read. The Right Bride raises ire, brings laughter, tears, fears, and joy. It is an attention holding happy-ever-after. It does take the mind off the “slings and arrows” of a trying day.

A kiss doesn’t mean eternity . . .

Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires—until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

. . . Or does it?
Is buy kamagra convenient rather than other purchase generic viagra ED drugs? It is common knowledge that there are three oral medications that are approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Some doctors even recommend the acai berry to couples who even levitra vs viagra http://raindogscine.com/?attachment_id=23 after trying for 12 months failed to conceive, the opportunity to becomes parents to their biological child. This has led to Acai berry benefits to often be labeled as the “Amazon http://raindogscine.com/una-noche-sin-luna-seleccionada-por-uruguay-para-los-oscar/ online levitra”. He is only sex doctor in Delhi, who provides best treatment for viagra canada mastercard erectile dysfunction in India.
Anders felt a connection to Valerie from the moment he cradled her bruised body in his arms. But before he claims her, he must destroy the vampire who almost stole her from him forever. His job would be easier if Valerie didn’t fight him every step of the way. Still, Anders loves a challenge, and the green-eyed beauty is worth fighting for!

Finally! I’ve been waiting to see what kind of woman that Anders would fall for. I bet he was a challenge for the author because he was such a quiet guy with a huge deep and dark attitude. Not only does he get his well-earned happily ever after but readers get to find out what happened in his young life that made him the man he was at the time of this story. Get ready to have your sympathy strings played by a master. Ms. Sands has presented fans with a very poignant, sad and tragic beginning for a man destined to be a hero. To say that I was satisfied with this book is an understatement. I’m thrilled that Anders not only gets to be a happy guy but the journey getting there was an adventure and a wonderful example of the author’s writing style.

It starts off pretty harsh with the heroine escaping the bad guy. The conflict is set up with a sharp edge because just when she thinks she’s safe, she’s not. And when Valerie figures out that this really sweet and gentle pregnant lady is more than she appears, the heroine’s world gets rocked on its axis. As Valerie gets to know the family and Anders’ role in it, she waffles from being fascinated, like the poor guy she makes drink while she gets to prod, poke and study him, and being fearful because she is not too sure who she should trust. But Valerie keeps her sense of humor, her sense of self and I enjoyed her determined and down-to-earth personality.

One thing that really impressed me was Ms. Sands’ attention to detail. I refer to the dog, Roxy. The author didn’t miss a trick. A reader knows that the heroine loves her dog and every detail, from doggie bags, feeding, walking and generally caring for Roxy’s welfare, was incorporated seamlessly throughout the story. I really liked that. The dog wasn’t a prop but a real part of Valerie’s life and Ms. Sands treated it as such and was consistent. That, was excellent writing.

As for the suspense and drama? Good gravy, you would not believe the hilarious predicament Ms. Sand put Valerie in with Lucas’ wife, Leigh. Remember Lucas? The handsome but scary guy in charge? It’s his very pregnant wife that gets to be involved in the most action-packed, hairy-scary scene in the whole book. What could have or should have been a very dramatic and suspenseful chapter ended up being one of the funniest parts in the whole book, in spite of the truly dire circumstances they found themselves in. I couldn’t be scared, I was laughing too hard. It was awesome!

Immortal Ever After is everything a fan of this series could hope for. Once again, Ms. Sands has delivered a truly fun, entertaining and sexy story that will delight old and new fans alike. This novel stands on its own merits because everything about Anders is new. This is the book that solves the mystery of who the hero is and what makes him tick. Valerie is the woman who re-awakens his lust and in true Immortal fashion, brings joy, peace, a craving for ice cream, and true love to Anders, a man who never thought he deserved it. I had a great time reading this novel and highly recommend it.

When psychic Laura Dearborn inherits Stonecross Hall in 1926, she has no idea she’s inheriting a love story too-one that she’s lived again and again. But as Alaric Storm III, the handsome owner of the mansion from sixty years earlier, starts to haunt her waking dreams, Laura discovers her heart’s true home has always been within Stonecross’s walls.

Tormented by memories of war, Alaric Storm III is used to spirits-just not ones from the future. Set on fire by Laura’s ghostly affections, Alaric is forced to choose: follow his heart and grasp Laura’s hand through time, or surrender to the call of duty and live without love.

As All Hallows’ Eve draws near, Alaric and Laura must find a way to hold on to each other forever-or risk repeating their tragic romance until the end of time.

I love the idea of going back in time to find your one true love. Isn’t that a common theme in time-travel romances? I was thrown off a bit by the fact that this started off post WWII, not modern day, as I was expecting. That was an obstacle of my own making, and had nothing to do with the story itself, but did confuse me as I was trying to start reading!

What made it even more difficult to want to finish reading was the style in which the first portion of the book was written. It was a narrative–style and didn’t inlcude much dialogue. I found this intensely difficult to read and even more so, repetitive, trite, and a bit preachy. The only thing that kept me reading was the desire to see if anything changed once Laura and Alaric met.

Happily, that was the key! Once the hero and heroine met, there were more opportunities for dialogue, and the story became much easier to read, and the “flow” much better.

There are multiple sexual encounters between them. There is no reserved, coquettish play. In fact, it reads much as modern encounters might. That leads one to forget that the entire interaction at the house takes place over the span of mere days.

The switching between time periods is not a confusing as it could be. It is always nice when a reader is able to say for certain where and when their hero and heroine are existing!

I did find myself fixating on some of the issues surrounding time travel and what the resolution to the story would be. I will state now, that my thoughts were completely incorrect and each possibility was systematically eliminated as I continued to read. Having said that – I was not entirely satisfied by the ending as presented. It was a neat and tidy way to finish the story without too many “time issues”, and I applaud the author for her creativity in this respect. However, I found I was left wanting more.

It may sound as if I disliked the book. This is absolutely not this case. I still feel this is an interesting and intriguing story and am happy that it was told. The characters (once they find each other) blossom and are interesting and worthy of the dialogue bestowed upon them. The secondary characters have some lovely quirks that make them the “spice” in the story.

If you are a time-travel fan, get a hold of a copy. You will enjoy enjoy the relationship that occurs and hopefully be surprised by the ending, too!
