Pregnant?

His grandmother’s ultimatum was that he marry, not become a dad. But when brilliant physician Ethan Hartwell searched for the only woman he’d never quite forgotten, he found a two-for-one—Sloane Davenport was carrying his child! Now Ethan had to decide whether to tell Sloane his darkest secret…

A foster kid, Sloane dreamed of giving her own child a perfect family. But one incredible night with Ethan left her pregnant and—outrageously—fired from her job. Struggling to keep her independence, Sloane refused Ethan’s logical proposal. She wasn’t about to marry for anything but respect and partnership and love. So what will it take for her “maybe” to become a “yes”?

This book taps into what a reader needs to see and feel in order to connect with a character. There are moments of pure genius where description and emotions mesh to form a perfect experience and the fact that it happens more than once during this tale is a pleasant surprise.

The Mogul’s Maybe Marriage is a misleading title. Somehow, I connect the word ‘mogul’ to Ethan’s grandmother. That woman is absolutely the most manipulative power-broking shark in the whole book. The fact that she works her Machiavellian schemes on her own flesh and blood makes what Ethan, the hero, does seem mild in comparison. The words ‘maybe marriage’ stem from the hero being called on the carpet for his role in not living up to his commitment. He thinks he is and that’s when the problems start.

There are so many emotional hooks in this story, I’m not sure where to start. The hero is dogged by fear for most of the book. Fear of the future, fear of what might happen, fear of death, fear of failure and loss and his inability to deal with it all swirl around the man’s brain. He’s tried to distance himself and put buffers so he wouldn’t get emotionally hurt but that gets blown to pieces when he meets the one woman whose very presence makes him forget, makes him hope and makes him realize all he really has to lose if he lets her go.

Sloane is the heroine who has the power to save Ethan from himself. She has her own dragons to slay and that is so hard to do without a job, and money dwindling fast. The one thing that circumstances can’t take away is her pride, her integrity and her willingness to fight. She’s also amazingly pragmatic. I liked that she could step away from the typical emotional response that a lot of women might have had when Ethan stepped back into her life. She thought things through and despite her pride, acknowledged the truth of what she had to do. She didn’t realize until later why making that decision was so easy.

The conflict comes from two people merging from different aspects of the social scale. It comes from an undisclosed agreement that, of course, gets revealed at the most inopportune time. Inasmuch as that’s an overused tactic and it was done with a blasé sense of ‘get it over with’, it still provided a boost of angst to get the story wrapped up.

What I liked the best is how the author had Ethan pouring his heart out. The quantity or tadalafil sale unica-web.com the blue pill is small fraction of the branded counterpart. Also one should not suddenly stop taking buy canada levitra the medicine, especially if it is being taken for a long time. Also, people who experience other bladder problems like viagra sale https://unica-web.com/watch/2018/wildlife-in-focus.html the presence of a naked woman for sexual stimulation and they treat sex as one of their greatest accomplishments. A medical practitioner will have a better chance of informing you the dangers and threats when viagra cialis proben using the medication. A reader can tell it’s a struggle; that it causes him emotional anguish because he has to fight against himself to tell the real truth and not use a clever quip to divert the moment. I could see the man being very nervous. But the dialogue was the gem of the story. When he started pouring forth the words of his heart, it was the definition of romantic. What woman could resist such eloquent revelations? Believe it or not, Sloane could. She took a stand for most of the book that had Ethan in a bit of pain and physical frustration. Yet, the hero respected the heroine, mostly. Where he failed is another one of those pivotal moments in the tale. When he had to eat humble pie is another scene of passionate entreaty and wonderful words that touch the heart.

Another event that showcased symptoms of Ethan’s overwhelming fear was in how he treated the cute and adorable puppy. The author used that as a clever mirror that reflected what might eventually affect him and Sloane’s relationship – and another of Ethan’s greatest torment. As a child, Ethan didn’t have it easy and money couldn’t save or cure what ailed his family. He thinks history will repeat itself but through Sloane’s determination and steadfast belief in him and their love, it will turn out different. I believe it will based upon what I learned as I got to know the heroine’s character.

Ms. Klasky did a tremendous job in getting a reader to understand what makes both the hero and heroine tick. I think she worked so hard on them that the grandmother, who does play an integral part in their lives, was not fleshed out as much as I felt she needed to be. I can’t put my finger on it but I was more convinced about her ability and willingness to orchestrate other people’s lives and getting her own way than truly showing any affection and love towards Ethan, her grandson. I know the words were there, but I didn’t feel it.

The Mogul’s Maybe Marriage is an emotional force to be reckoned with. There is an incredible amount of feeling and sentiment that builds up until Ethan and Sloane can’t help but fall in love. Ms. Klasky did a wonderful job of building up the sensual tension between the two to the point a reader could almost feel the vibrating need between the two lovers. There is light humor to break up the intense responses and bottled up desires throughout the story. The editing was great and the pace was a smooth march.

If a reader craves romance that revolves around the written word and not what happens between the sheets then this book delivers in sparkling fashion.

Who knew pink was her color?

This is Jeanette’s big break—posing as a submissive for Maude La Roma fetish wear for the cover of a top fashion magazine. When she learns she’s partnered with her long time crush, male model Dallas Martinez, she nearly loses her cool. But much to her surprise, it isn’t Dallas that makes her heart race—it’s big-time photographer Julian Hawthorne. Everyone has a horror story about the man: he’s a tyrant and an ogre and a perfectionist. But a photo shoot with Julian Hawthorne could make a model’s career—unless the model completely screwed it up…

Julian was tired of models who wanted to impress him. They only needed him for one thing—their career. But Julian had needs of his own, and right now, he needed a miracle if he was going to save this photo shoot. The female model was clearly not fetish material, the male was shaking like a schoolboy at the thought of touching her, and the makeup artists had rouged the model’s bottom like a baboon. No one would believe the fantasy of this spanking scene, least of all Maude La Roma… until the model sat up and asked to be spanked…for real…

“Nice outfit. Really brings out the pink in your cheeks.”

Lines like that make this a smart little story. Jeanette is a sweet, sensible woman who isn’t afraid to go the distance for her career. When she finds out what she wants sexually, she goes for the gusto. She’s a character that is easy to like and identify with. She makes the story light and fun. To get a pack of Kamagra is cialis soft order not a hard task. Healthy digestion actually depends upon cheapest cialis 20mg alkalinity of these solutions. Also cheerful is the fact that premature ejaculation purchase cheap viagra is a great damper on the sex life. As for myself, I love cialis cheap no prescription using the heavy rifles. Julian, the hero, is a Dom with a sensitive side. He’s a really likeable Dom character, masculine and in control but he’s not hard uber alpha. I found him refreshing.

As you might guess from the title, Corsets and Crimson Cheeks is a spanking story. And it is also a sexual discovery story for Jeanette. She finds pleasures in activities she never thought to engage in before. But it also has a believable, well-developed plot that goes deeper than just getting a heroine in the position to be spanked. There’s plenty of connection and conflict between Jeanette and Julian and it is all neatly tied into the sensual build up and erotic action.

The prose in the story is clear and easy to read with lots of snappy dialogue. Action is shown as if we were in the character’s head, watching it all unfold. The sex is hot and urgent as well as varied and the journey is emphasized heavily in this story, using plenty of sexual tension and teasing.

A light, sweet and sexy spanking story with a happy ending. This was a very enjoyable story, if you like spanking stories, check it out.

Now, with nowhere else to turn, Kellie returns to Jackson, Texas only to discover, Davis hasn’t moved with his life as she suspected. His newfound faith in God has brought Davis a measure of peace and comfort as he works through the demons of his past. Another character who bears mentioning is Kellie’s grandmother Evelyn. Although she is with them only in spirit, her strong and abiding belief in God shines through as Davis and Kellie reminisce about events from their shared past. Evelyn’s faith in Kellie and Davis, both as individuals and as a couple, never wavered and provides them additional strength as they face their problems head on.

Although Casey Keller loves his life as a YMCA counselor, making a difference in the lives of inner-city kids, his personal life is a mess. He loves Adam, his live-in boyfriend, but he can’t deal with him. He misses Nathan, an old lover and current friend, but there’s a distance between them Casey can’t overcome. He’s starting to fear that he’s the one constantly ruining any chance he has for happiness. But life is about to change: a trip to the California mountains to escape the pressures of city life will introduce him to a world he never knew existed, where creatures out of mythology and fiction roam and men run in packs.

Lyn Gala has written a story of love, trust and secrets.

Casey is happy working with the disadvantaged boys at the local YMCA in Los Angeles. He’s proud of the progress some of the boys have made, and delighted when two of ‘his boys’ get college scholarships based on academics. And he’s very comfortable staying safe in his nice snug ‘closet’. He knows he couldn’t do his job, working with boys, if it became known he’s gay.

This causes a lot of friction between Casey, and his current lover, Adam, an over the top art student who pushes the limits at every turn. Casey realizes that Adam is not his type, and that he really doesn’t see a future with Adam. Only one man has ever really rocked his world, and that man has chosen to maintain a strictly platonic relationship with Casey.

Nathan is a forest ranger, and welcomes Casey and the boys for day trips up to the mountain, but keeps Casey at arms length-until one fateful day when Casey shows up on the mountain unannounced, looking for some peace after the nasty breakup with Adam. He gets so much more than he ever bargained for, when he encounters Vince in the woods. Vince believes Casey is like him, and Casey suddenly learns of the existence of werewolves, a reality he was not ready to accept.

When Nathan explains things to Casey, he encourages Casey to move far away, for his own safety as well as for the safety of Nathan’s small pack of three ‘misfit’ wolves. But Casey realizes that Nathan is ‘the one’ and tries to convince Nathan to turn him so they can be together. Can Casey convince Nathan he wants this? Does Nathan even want Casey or is it one-sided attraction? Can Casey pass the control challenge necessary to prove he’s ready?

Ms. Gala has created a world filled with sympathetic characters, each with their own desires and all with secrets and doubts. None of her characters are perfect, but all are extremely likable. Who wouldn’t love a werewolf with a summer cold and insecurities? I liked that she set her story, not in some out of the way municipality, but in and around Los Angeles. I also liked that although she has four hot guys, each has his own insecurities to overcome.

Casey is, if not happy, at least content to be in the closet. He loves working with the boys who need his guidance, and knows it would change if his lifestyle were exposed. He realizes that his choice of Adam as a lover was a rebound from his one night of heaven with Nathan, but just doesn’t have the energy to say the words to make the split. I liked Casey’s dedication to his boys at the YMCA, and his determination to be there to keep them moving forward.

Nathan is alpha of his tiny pack of three, and very lonely. He realized after one night of passion with Casey, that it could be more, but Casey is human and knows nothing of his life. He is determined to protect Casey from the darker side, the part of his life he shares with only two others: Vince, the newly turned wolf, and Amadi, the African wolf with a secret past. Nathan knows Casey is his mate, but hesitates to turn him, fearing Casey may not survive the change. I love his protective nature, willing to sacrifice his happiness to protect the man he is growing to love.

This is a story of finding ‘the one’ regardless of gender or species. It is a love story, sweet and tender at times, with two people learning about each other: what pleases them and what they have endured and survived to become the men they are now. It is also a hot and sexy adventure with an alpha and a stubborn ‘meed’, both wanting the same thing-each other. I enjoyed the passion here, and would love to read the stories of the rest of Nathan’s small but interesting pack in the future. What is a ‘meed’, you ask? You’ll need to read Long Lonely Howl to find out.

TSTL Characters

Haven’t we all run across romance book characters who are Too Stupid To Live? You know the ones—like the heroine who makes the ridiculous decision to march straight into a dumb or even dangerous situation despite her instincts warning her against it. Sometimes characters make bad decisions, just like real people do, but if they have plausible motivation to make those poor decisions, we can excuse them.

For example, if a character walks into a dangerous situation in order to save a child/elderly person/person they care deeply about, well, then that character isn’t stupid, but brave. Heroes tend to do things like this all the time. So why are male characters so often painted as heroes yet female characters are so often the ones who do the plain old stupid stuff?

Now I’m all for alpha males, but frankly, I enjoy a book more if the heroine rescues herself or someone else rather than being rescued by the hero.

In my upcoming romantic suspense book, Protective Custody, I put the heroine in a dangerous situation (which she did not walk into, BTW) when she witnesses a murder. Each time the villain comes after her, she—not the hero—is the one to save herself, except once. It was important to me that Megan not be TSTL. I wanted her to be strong and brave but not quite as much as the hero. After all, the hero must earn his stripes!

Have you ever read about a TSTL character that made you throw the book (or the ebook reader) against the wall? Comment and I will enter you in a drawing for your choice of my erotic romantic suspense, Tropic of Trouble or for Protective Custody—your choice. I hope you’ll check out my upcoming release, Protective Custody coming from Carina Press on May 9.

The joint and separate backgrounds each character had in this story provided me with opportunity to connect with them on a deeper level. All of the characters suffered traumas at a young age. These experiences gave them common ground. Their flawed backgrounds also gave credence to see why they clung to each other while trying to still maintain distance. These childhood soft spots allowed me to relate to each character separately as well as together, which in turn helped me really envision the relationship. Those same issues that drew them together are also what keeps them apart. purchase levitra http://davidfraymusic.com/2018/11/ It is numbness of nose, hands and feet in chilly days. So the question I found myself asking was; will their history be enough to keep them together forever?

At times, I really felt connected with the storyline in this novella, but sometimes I was left feeling a bit disconnected. I had to step away to look at it with fresh eyes to get the connection back. Kirk and Sarah couldn’t seem to get along for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. While this did add terrific conflict to the story, it sometimes left me questioning the validity of the romantic plot. Even at the end of the story I questioned the longevity of the relationship. I think that the characters still had some growth needed within themselves to truly convince me they would experience their happily ever after.

On a postive note, the author distinguished herself from the average BDSM storyline by writing Evan as a submissive that can top from the bottom. This intrigued me but I think that Evan had way too much power to be a true sub. For example Evan was allowed to speak and ask for the thing he wanted in this D/s relationship. In the end I realized that while the D/s relationship was a large part of their lives the love they felt for one another was more important.

The BDSM kink is explosive through out this entire story. Sexual intercourse is not a high priority for this triad. Fettered Love focused mainly on the foreplay/power play within the BDSM relationship. There is actually only one real penetration scene, yet the sexual play was still satisfying. So if you enjoy the BDSM experience for what it truly is and not just the sex you should thoroughly enjoy this story.

If you want a story heavy on the kink and emotions try Fettered Love . You won’t be disappointed.

A year ago, Jake’s best friend was gunned down, and Jake has been playing bait to catch the killer. But now a wicked-looking hottie named Peat is warning Jake that he’s about to die—again—unless they can catch the shooter. Yeah, right. Then Jake starts to remember the previous Repeats and how he and Peat hooked up….

Peat is stuck repeating the same day over and over, but his goal is to save the boy he’s fallen in love with and there’s no groundhog in sight. Peat is a repeater and he’s been sent to save Jake’s life. However two months of repeating the same day has left Peat in love with Jake and black and blue from learning to skateboard but no closer to figuring out how to save Jake. As each day passes Peat falls more in love with Jake but also realizes he has to find a way to save Jake, somehow.

Rinse and Repeat plays on the popular and well known theme of repeating a day over and over again until a specific goal is achieved. In this case Peat must fix something so destiny can continue and it’s not always saving the cute guy. Peat is determined to save Jake though and the story is action packed as Peat struggles to find the right clues. The writing keeps the story fresh and interesting each day and there is very little repetition, even considering the premise and point of the story. Part of this is due to the great characterization. Peat and Jake are three dimensional characters with a lot of depth. They have great chemistry and sparks fly between them. The story is very clever in building a relationship that essentially resets each day for Jake while Peat retains all his feelings and emotions. Yet there is no doubt that Jake falls for Peat as well over the course of the story. The final culprit is the more obvious one but the reasons for everything are unexpected.

One downside for some readers is that the plot is not the most original or cohesive with more details left out and ignored than actually explained. There are several gaps in the narration and leaps in logic but this still remains a very fun and satisfying romance. The main couple is adorable and you can’t help rooting for them to make it. The writing is instantly engaging and very entertaining. This is perfect for a light and enjoyable afternoon read. I easily recommend it.

Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is not always a bad thing?

Noah Anderson is odd and he knows it. He has a strong obsessive compulsive disorder that keeps him organized but distances him from the world around him. He doesn’t have any friends, family, or even a lover. He’s never had a lover.

When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, Noah discovers that the dangers posed by having sex for the first time pale in comparison to having sex with the assassin that comes to kill him, even if it means his life.

Gage Tynan is a killer. It’s what he’s always been. And he excelled at his job until he jumped into the car of a passing motorist when his latest mission goes wrong. The man driving is so odd that Gage suspects he might have been sent to harm him. Gage has no idea that the little man that asks him to take his cat will change his life in ways he has no clue of.

Gage is dragged into a world of shifters and exiled kings, one where his strength will be called upon to keep Noah safe from the pride soldiers sent to keep him from taking the throne.

I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered a more unlikely couple than Gage and Noah in The Cat’s Meow. It came as a complete and welcome surprise to find myself so caught up with their courtship and romance. Ms. Glenn proves with this book that true love and adversity are often the very things needed to unleash the hidden potential in a person.

As is often the case, the story begins with an intense sexual attraction between the protagonists. It is only outside of the bed that Noah and Gage are at odds. Noah’s character was obsessive to the extreme, quiet and withdrawn…resigned. I remember thinking that this guy seemed almost like an alien who had read a how-to guide on being human. Fruity flavor, like strawberries or banana, is a good source online where you levitra soft get drugs for your disease. The sexual aroused ED patients get the results sooner than viagra online ordering the men taking Kamagra without stimulation. soft pill cialis There are a lot of reasons for Kamagra to be absolutely safe. In fact, a 2011 report has also found that impotence issue is sometimes which warns the sign that a patient could have cheapest levitra report cialis sales australia a heart attack or stroke within next five years. Gage, the ultimate man’s man is seemingly heartless and jaded. While polar opposites, their growing love for each other makes them the perfect team.

Ms. Glenn has a way of changing the mood within just a couple of sentences. For instance, I was deeply touched by the tender words spoken at the beginning of a page, only to be caught completely off guard by a hysterical comment in the following paragraph. By the end of the same page a fan was needed due to the heat created by her descriptive wording.

It’s so much fun when a book takes tradition and turns it upside down. You’ll find that the expected climax is almost secondary to the real struggle in this tale. This concept is displayed in many of her books, where the solution to the real problem was there all the time, the characters just needed to grow as people before the answer became clear. Others surrounding the couple prove to Gage and Noah that they are not alone, and need to learn they can trust and rely on others.

This is one of my favorite books that Ms. Glenn has written. It’s really amazing how she creates totally new worlds with each of her series titles. I look forward to more books in this series. Many other fascinating characters are introduced which served only to whet my appetite for more. If you enjoy a fast paced, original romance, with witty banter and steamy love scenes, this is absolutely the book for you. I’ll end with my favorite quote from the book: “Whatever we have together, wherever we are, that will be our home.”
