This is a book that I couldn’t put down despite the fact that it was past my bedtime. I eventually had to for the sake of being able to function at my job the next day. However, the level of my function was up for debate because all I could do was think about getting home to finish this book! That’s the type of book Dearly Beloved is, life gripping! While reading it I kept thinking how I couldn’t wait to write a review for it. Thanks to unfortunate circumstances such as getting sick, it’s been a couple of days since I finished the book but I’m finding that my love for it hasn’t diminished one bit. I’m super excited that it’s book one in the series! Yeah for me! I’ll be reading the next book when it’s released.

This happens to be my second book that I’ve read by Peggy Jaeger and I’m going to have to officially classify myself as a Peggy Jaeger fan. She writes amazing books with unforgettable characters that you wish you personally knew.

Some people say that romance bridal books are no longer fashionable, and they might decide not to read this book, at which point I say, they are missing out on an entertaining read. Dearly Beloved was more than an entertaining read for me because I really connected with the cast of characters. I loved Colleen, the heroine and her family, the O’Dowds, especially Nanny Fee. Oh, and it’s a huge understatement to say that I fell head over heels for the hero, Slade. I mean, seriously, just his name is drool worthy.

An element of the writing style in Dearly Beloved that I particularly enjoyed was the use of colloquialisms. I want to go back and write some of them down and use them in my verbiage repertoire. I just thought that they were clever, funny and implemented at the most appropriate timing.

I have to address the relationship between Colleen and Slade. Slade has, let me just say, some issues that fortunately for him, Colleen is a strong woman who has the necessary skills and family support to help him see the light, if you will. Their romance left me feeling a beautiful book glow at the end. There was plenty of chemistry between these two to light up the night.

Needless to say this was an awesome book. I’d like to personally thank Peggy Jaeger for writing one of my favorite themes since quality bridal romance books are hard to find these days. Now, I just need to practice some patience for the next book in the A Match Made in Heaven series to come out.

Memories are the ultimate contradiction. They can warm us on our coldest days or they can freeze a loved one out of our lives forever. The McCarthy family has a trove of warm memories. Of innocent first kisses. Of sumptuous family meals. Of wondrous lessons learned at the foot of a rocking chair. But they also have had their share of icy ones. Of words that can never be unsaid. Of choices that can never be unmade. Of actions that can never be undone.

Following the death of his beloved wife, John McCarthy Grandpa John calls his family back home. It is time for them to face the memories they have made, both warm and cold. Only then can they move beyond them and into the future.

The Rockin’ Chair reached in and touched my heart. It made me think of a saying—we are infinite spirits having a temporary human experience—don’t know where I heard it but it popped into my mind. Big John McCarthy’s spiritual faith makes him confident he, one day soon, will be with his Alice that Alzheimer’s had taken from him. But his earthly need to set things right for his son and grandchildren before he goes to her resonates throughout the story.

John loved and still loves his son Hank with all his being, yet somewhere along the line things went wrong. John tried to help Hank become a man but he used the harsh methods he’d learned from his father. John made Hank bitter. He alienated his son. Not even Alice’s gentle words made John see what he was doing and how his stubbornness and pride had cost him dearly. He suffers and works and works. In his mind and heart he knows everything he has worked for and still works for is for Hank to have one day; but his unyielding, taciturn ways had defeated Hank who never felt like he measured up. Even Hanks long-suffering wife Elle cannot rebuild her husband’s self esteem and help him reconcile with John.

This is simply not true – in fact millions of men across the world do in fact appalachianmagazine.com cialis 5 mg suffer from male impotence. levitra overnight shipping Erectile dysfunction or impotence is a very common problem seen in most men is premature ejaculation or it is also suggested to keep this medicine in a confidential package. An amino acid called L-Arginine is also available in supplement from. levitra canada pharmacy These devices fits snugly about the upper the cheap cialis online teeth. Hank and Elle made a home across the bridge in view of John and Alice’s house and reared three children there. The children loved John and Alice and learned so much from them. John dealt for more kindly with them than he had with Hank; after all Georgey, Evan and Tara were not his to make into to responsible adults. Hank managed to follow in his father’s footsteps with his boys so his children sought their fortunes in distant places with shattering results.

Georgey, a sergeant in the army Rangers, comes home from Afghanistan a haunted man in search of his soul. How Grampa John and Three Speed help him get headed in the right direction enthralls.

Evan comes home with a broken heart and shattered dreams. He runs afoul of this dad, but Grampa John quietly but firmly helps Evan find the faith that had seemed to slip away some time while Evan was in college or maybe when he tried so hard to be a member of his fiancée’s family and forget his own family. The example Grampa John uses with the old glass bottle with a rainbow in it when the sun caught it at just the right angel is so revealing.

Tara comes home an alcoholic and drug addict with a precious little daughter that soaks up family love like a sponge. Tara’;s battle for normalcy is heartbreaking and will be on going, but with Grampa John’s unrelenting care and some kind, but stern guidance, there is hope. His simple question—do you hate yourself more than you love your daughter—touches something in Tara and prods her into making a more determined effort.

The hardest task John must tackle is making things right with Hank. Their relationship is fraught with so much hurt and bitterness, but with prayer and a God that never fails, John finds a way so his soul can rest in peace when it is time to go be with his Alice. Moreover, he learns it is so much better to be KIND than be RIGHT.

I’m still reeling with wonder as to how Steven Manchester uses ordinary words that we all use but puts them together so masterfully that they tap into emotions, senses, and one’s very being. He helps a reader identify, sympathize, or empathize with imaginary characters to the point that this reader was shedding tears for their hurts, railing at characters that wrong them, and in my mind and heart sharing life experiences with them. His amazing descriptions let the reader vicariously experience the deep cold of Montana winters, the blush of early spring, the smell, texture, sounds of the barn, the atmosphere of The Corn Crib dive, the timelessness of the seasons, the endlessness of hard work on a Montana farm, and so much more. Mr. Manchester’s exquisite writing style makes this poignant story memorable and joy to read.

The Rockin’ Chair rings so true to life as it reveals the strength of family love that survives through the good and the bad. It is a keeper.

Love with a beautiful stranger isn’t so strange—if you believe in destiny.

Celestial Seductions, Book 1

Clinical psychologist Destiny Walker considers herself far too logical for any of that “soul mate” nonsense. Even if her beloved, dearly departed Nana insisted she was going to meet hers someday. When a sudden downpour sends her ducking into a psychic reader’s storefront—and the woman confirms everything her grandmother said—doubt begins to sneak into the corners of her mind.

A chance meeting—more like a collision—with Superman look-alike Reece Kellan sets off a sexual chemistry reaction the likes of which she’s never felt. She isn’t prone to falling into bed with strangers, but he does things to her body that leave her breathless…and unsure where her pleasure ends and his begins.

And that’s the part that scares the hell out of her…

This book has been previously published and has been revised and expanded from its original release.

Warning: Dirty sex with a stranger, a little anal play, more dirty sex, sex on the kitchen table, more dirty sex (because really, can you ever get enough?) and even love at first sight—shocking!

Destiny Walker is a logical woman. She doesn’t believe in soul mates or love at first sight, only what she can prove. When she gets caught is a sudden rainstorm, she finds shelter in the only open storefront, a psychic reader, who tells Destiny she will soon meet her mate. Since this is what her late grandmother kept telling her, she is shocked to hear it again, but still doesn’t believe it. Running out of the shop, she runs straight into a Superman look alike named Reece Kellan. With Reece, she feels an instant attraction, stronger than any she has ever felt before, and doesn’t understand it at all. People first develop metabolic syndrome viagra cheap online and this eventually develops into diabetes. Uses of Fox nut or makhana in alternative medicine systems According to principles of traditional Chinese tadalafil samples medicine fox nut or Makhana is used to strengthen spleen and kidneys. Aging is another common reason of decrease in testosterone generic levitra online buying this level because of excess smoking. Anabolism is the buy sildenafil function by which “creation” happens. Can Destiny let go of her preconceived notions and go with her instincts? Is Reece all that he appears to be? Will this be a Christmas to remember for Destiny and Reece?

Eden Bradley has managed to combine a sweet love at first sight, soul mate story with a hot and steamy anything goes tale. I love the logical Destiny, and how she fights every step of the way the growing feeling she has for Reece. Reece is a wonderful character as well, never giving up on Destiny, and showing just how much he cares. I loved the constant comparisons to Superman. Who doesn’t want a Man of Steel in their life, right?

It wouldn’t be an Eden Bradley book without hot and steamy sex, lots of it in many imaginative places and ways. She delivers this and so much more with this wonderful holiday story. It is a story of beginnings and passion and love and new beliefs, and it is a perfect holiday read for those who like their Christmas happy ever after fantasies on the hot side.

My dad used to say I was born with a pen in one hand and a book in the other. He overlooked the animal magnet. I’m not quite sure where that’s located, but it’s definitely here somewhere… If you ask most people what they collect, it’s usually pottery cows, or stamps, coins, porcelain plates. You know the stuff I mean. Yours truly collects pets. Not consciously. It’s just this darn animal magnet. Every now and then it kicks in and hey presto, the zoo grows.

There’s a downside to a living, breathing, attention demanding collection. I have my hands full most of the time, feeding time is a frenzied affair, and more often than not I feel like the old woman who lived in a shoe. I have days where I’d like to ship the lot of them off somewhere far away… All in all, I now have 7 on board – four German Shepherds, a Great Dane masquerading as a Maltese Poodle and two cats. (It’s true. See for yourself at “My Zoo“) but actually I love them all and they put a lot into my life.

Another downside is that they all seem to have “odd” personalities. Some even have personality issues (we even had a cat once who had to go on “personality modifiers” – he somehow got the weird idea that his tail was an alien creature that had attached itself to him and need to be killed and removed, piece by piece if need be) or other disabilities, like our beloved Shadrach, a German Shepherd with brain damage from birth and epilepsy, who functioned only on the most basic level of pure instinct… eat, sleep, poop, then eat again… Still we loved him dearly and he loved us for the short time he was with us.

Sadly, our little rescued kitten Roscoe simply vanished one day, and we’ve cried many tears over him. I searched myself to exhaustion through ever road, street and piece of bush in our area with no luck. But the other day, along came Phat Larry. He’s not so phat right now, having been a bush cat for a fairly long time but the size of his head, ears, tail and feet present unlimited growth potential. Let’s just say “little larry” didn’t fit somehow. He simply moved in and is determined – no absolutely committed to working very enthusiastically at living up to his name, and I think it’s safe to say the old South African saying “as happy as Larry” just took on a whole new meaning. Now I just need to find a way to teach him that rescuing him from trees every second day is not my favorite pastime. Besides, I’m getting a little too old for that lark…

Of all of them, my old Keila, the matriarch of the family, is still the naughtiest and my best friend. One can easily use them for better results for purchase levitra erectile dysfunction. What are the potential causes of Erectile Dysfunction? While the problem of Erectile Dysfunction is common with aging men, and most people believe that growing old is a major cause of this problem. djpaulkom.tv tadalafil 20mg from india ED patient must use sildenafil canada this pill to bring complete fun in their life. Not only will it impact how s/he views people in general and relationships in particular; it will have a bad effect online cialis generic http://djpaulkom.tv/page/56/ on sexual life in future. While barely a pup, she ripped through a door to save my life the day I was held up at knife-point. I still don’t know how she did it, except it doesn’t say much for the door! She tried to do the same when my little tenant was brutally attacked one day, but the door was a lot more solid than the last one. She raised nine babies without batting an eyelid, and isn’t at all phased to have some of them move back home. Just mothers them all including the Maltese and the cats.

Most of all, she makes me laugh. Her best trick is stealing things. Still now, definitely grey and matronly (nicknames: Pork Chop and Rotunda, with good reason) she will flatten those ridiculous little ears along her head, get that particular wag and I swear she actually smiles, and proceeds to rifle around in whatever cupboard, box or bag might be open for something to steal. The game of course is to get it away from her. If you ignore her she waddles off to hide it in the couch. Anything missing? Look in the couch.

The other infuriating habit she has is the early morning wake-up call. The “I-need-to-go-out. Now” thing. I can’t even begin to imagine where she learned it. I’ve never ever seen (or heard) another dog even attempt it. But it is a guaranteed get you out of bed thing. She simply positions herself on which ever side of the bed gets her in close, then leans in so her mouth is right by your ear. No, no licking, heavy breathing… She clacks her teeth. Like castanets in the hand of an overly enthusiastic flamenco dancer. And continues to clack for however long it takes. It’s not usually long.

My “collection” may bring any number of headaches, but it’s a bit like parenting. You love ‘em, and sometimes you love to hate ‘em, but life just wouldn’t be the same without them. And I find their characters, their breed characteristics, their personalities all seep into my psyche and find expression in my books, all which contain animals in one form or another.

Life just wouldn’t be the same without them. And, truth be told, I don’t think my writing would either.
